Steps:

1. Cut a piece of bonding tape the width of the desired weft.

2. Brush a generous layer of the adhesive onto the tape.

3. Spread hair across the adhesive, leaving about an inch over the top of the tape.

4. Cut a second piece of bonding tape the same length as the first. Secure one end of it to your work surface - sticky side up.

5. Brush a generous layer of adhesive on the tape. Remove the end from the work surface.

6. Place this strip over the first piece, sandwiching the hair between the two strips.

7. Using a flat iron, apply heat to the tapes.

8. Trim the top of the weft.

9. Your wefts are complete. Simply remove the backings to install.

No sew wefts are a perfect way to create your own wefts with any type of bulk hair.. In order to do that, you will need bonding tape, Liquid Gold or clear eyelash adhesive, your bulk fiber scissors, a comb and a flat iron.. The first step is to lay out your tape., I'm going to use a little bit of Scotch tape to secure it to the table.. Next, we are going to add a little bit of Liquid Gold to our tape.. Okay. Now we are going to take our bulk fiber. In this case, we are using a Shapeshifter Monofiber. And we are simply going to spread it across our tape. Next cut a piece of tape that is about the same length., And I'm only going to secure this by one end. Then paint on some more Liquid Gold.. Okay, now I'm going to use this piece and I'm going to sandwich over my original piece. And I'm going to press that together, so that those two lines of Liquid Gold go through the hair.. If you are using a platinum or a lighter colored extension, the Liquid Gold may dry a little too amber. So when you are doing your lines, you can substitute in a clear eyelash adhesive for that step.. Once you have given your weft a bit of time to set, we are going to take the whole thing and we are going to hit it with our flat iron.. What this is going to do is it is going to help that Liquid Gold sink all the way through into both sides of the hair., So it gives it a nice strong, bond.. Okay, we are going to let that cool for a second. And then the final step is really simple. We are just going to clean up all the excess hair and all of the excess tape., So we don't need this. And we don't need this. And that.. This creates your first no sew weft. When you are ready to install these wefts, simply remove the tape and press below a part line. And then remove the other tape and sandwich it in between the hair.. If you are reusing this, you can use more bonding tape or you can use the Liquid Gold to install

Doctored Locks: You are welcome! If you add a few drops of instant nail glue or liquid crazy glue along the weft, you will have no shedding at all. This works with all wefts - not just ones that you make but with bought ones too. As to how long it will last, that depends on the type of hair you use and how it is maintained. Just like all other wefts, the hair will fall apart long before your sewing will. :)

Doctored Locks: The only thing that makes it hard is that sewing into the caulking will just tear through. So what you can do is use a fabric tape and adhere the weft to that, then sew the clips to the fabric. That will work better than trying to sew into the caulking. It's still not ideal, but will absolutely work. Just be careful when you brush them not to pull too hard. They will still be more fragile than normally sewn wefts.
