Hey guys so today I just wanted to talk about my hair extensions, so when I was getting these done, I actually couldn't find any like reviews or anything like that on YouTube. So I definitely wanted to create one for this purpose. So the extensions that I have are the hotheads tape in hair extensions which, from what I know, they're kind of new, but not really, tape in hair extensions have been around for a little while, but the hotheads versions are semi new um. I could I read a few reviews online before I got them done. I knew it was something I really wanted to have done professionally. I wasn't. I was not confident in myself to put them in. Let'S just say that, so I got them done professionally. They'Re kind of pricey, I'm not gon na die um. I got them done for my wedding, I'm getting married next month and my hair is really short and I just wanted to be able to do something with my hair for my wedding. So basically, this was my only option because I knew clip-ins were going to be good, but they're not really a permanent solution, and I also have to cut them, and if you really want a nice one, it really just the price. Different difference wasn't enough for me to see myself putting them in everyday and paying to get them cut, and then I have to get them colored. The price difference just wasn't enough for me to even fool with it, so I decided to just get the tape in hair extensions. So what I went to if you're in the Knoxville area, I'm a Knoxville Tennessee. So if you're in the Knoxville area I went to is called Josie's boutique, Sarah did them she's fantastic. She colored my hair, this pretty like a subtle, ombre color. She put them in. For me, she did a fantastic job, so she's at Josie's boutique. If you're in the Knoxville area, her name is Sarah go see her she's fantastic. She also had the best price that I've seen around here, so talk to her um anyway. So get started on like the review and application care things like that. How long does your hair actually have to be to get them done? So I was concerned too, because every picture I saw online about these hair extensions. They had sin, my long hair to start with, so this is um my natural hair, it's kind of hard to show you my natural hair underneath is like this song. That'S a piece of my hair. It'S really short um there we go. I don't know if you can even see that this is like my hair length as it is by itself, so without the hair extensions, my hair's, like super short, so, as you can see, I really would have had an option to do anything with my hair, as It is, or as it was so and the extensions that I got a really long - they are the 14 to 16 inch. They come strange so when you order them like, I used to wear hair extensions on the daily, so I heard I pretty much know just about everything there has to do about haircare things like that, but the I know when I used to purchase extensions. You know they come in like 1 lengths like you, either get 16 14 or 18 or whatever 20 24. It'S all one length these they come in packs and the hair length is anywhere from 14 inches to 16 inches so which I guess helps because when you put them in they're more of a layered look, so you don't just have like short hair. All of a sudden, you have like 16 inches of super long hair, so they're super blendable, they're so easy to apply from what I saw. I still didn't really trust myself doing it, but from what I saw she did it wasn't hard for her to do, but then again she is professional, so it only took. I want to say 30 minutes for her to put them in my hair, just to put them in my hair, I mean. Obviously we had touched up on my roots a little bit. We she curled it. She cut it a little bit to blend in more naturally with my hair um, so I think in total I was there for maybe an hour. It really wasn't long. Maybe I don't know what the hair color maybe an hour and a half, but it still wasn't very long. So if you don't have anything to do to here like color or cut, it's only going to take you like 30 minutes um also, these are not damaging. Like at all, so your real hair, as opposed to other types of hair extensions, I mean I'm sure, there's still some type of damage but like the the bonded or the any of the other type of hair extensions, can be very damaging to your actual hair. To where, when you take them out, your hair is very brittle. Very dry you'd have to cut it off. Basically, I've had every type of hair extension I had mine bonded in one time. I think I had them sewn in a couple times. It'S just not very good for your natural hair, which is what I really liked about. This type of extension is the taping method is very gentle on your natural hair. So, by the time you take it out, you can basically put them back in and not have to worry about it. Your hair is going to be fine and actually may help your hair grow, because you're not actually putting any putting as much stress on your actual hair and like straightening. It curling it everyday that you normally would so. Your hair has a lot less damage to it. Basically so, and the removal process is super simple too, so, basically, there's like a remover, they solvent type thing, they put it on the tapes and they peel it off your hair or they peel it off the extensions really. So they peel it off the extensions and then they get all the excess tape off and then the hair is reusable, so they just put tape back on it and then they put it back on your hair. So from what my stylist told me, the hair can be reused for up to a year if you take really good care of it. From what I read online, it was more like eight months, but it really just depends on like how good you take care of your hair um, because, obviously the more heat, the more stress you put on the extensions, the less longer they are to last. So if you don't use a whole lot of heat on your hair or um, you know you don't do a whole lot with it. It'S going to last you a lot longer now you do have to get these moved up every about four to six weeks. Um! Basically, all they do is they take it out and they put it back in because your hair it grows out. You need to move them back up. So that's it's really simple. The removal process takes and the putting them back in it takes till only takes like 45 minutes. I think um, whereas like beating or bonding, takes like four hours. So it takes so much time, but these are so quick, they're, so easy to use they're so easy to work with if you're applying them yourself, I'm sure it could be easy to UM, but I just wouldn't trust it. Considering my hair was really short. I was afraid that if I did it myself, they just wouldn't blend and that's what really scared me. So if you don't have super long hair, that is something you probably could. Do yourself save yourself a little bit of money um, but I really, I just wasn't ready to risk it, considering I'm getting it done for my wedding, and I really just wanted to look more natural is why I really sprung - and just is like you know, I'll Pay it okay ohad. Just, however, do it professionally, so uh removal and the care removal and the application is really easy. So the care process is a little different than your natural hair. So you do not want to use any type of oils. You want to make sure you use sulfate free shampoos, um cuz, when you, when you're, like shampooing your hair, you have, I don't even know if you can see this trying to show you one of the tapes. You see it up here. So when you're shampooing, your hair, you have the tapes like right where you're normally shampooing it. Do you see that there's one of the tapes? So when you're shampooing your hair, you don't want to use any type of oil or sulfate shampoo anywhere near the tapes. Cuz it'll loosen the bonds and they'll come out and slide out quicker. Um. Definitely don't want to do that. You don't want to tug on them a whole lot, they're not going to budge um, but you just be careful. You know, like you normal here, you don't wan na go like ripping your hair out, make sure to use sulfate, free, shampoo and conditioners. Do not put your conditioner on your scalp anywhere near the bonds or anywhere near the tape, because that could also cause premature slipping. So if your um conditioning your hair, you really want to put it from like here down cuz all near your scalp. You have the tapes um another good thing, the, since I don't have your natural oils from your scalp. You want to make sure to do like a really good conditioning treatment on them at least once a week. So you want to make sure that when you, you know, especially if you're using heat on them, because I use heat on them, I probably shouldn't, but I do, but especially if you think heat on them, you definitely want to deep condition them at least once a Week you want to try to use as much natural products as you can definitely always use a heat protective when using heat and try not to use the highest heat setting. You definitely don't want it to be too hot to where it burns your hair, but you don't want it to be not hot enough to where you have to keep going over it and keep heating it up, because that also causes a lot of damage. So try not to use so much heat products um when you're sleeping you can't just like leave it loose like this cuz it'll mat tangle, hurt trust me just either put it back in a bun. If you can - or I braids my hair back, I just braid. It back in um back behind my head and then when I sleep I just try to like bring the braids over here, so I'm not like laying on it um, but you want to try to braid your hair back at night. You really don't want to tangle these. You need to brush it at least twice a day so because tangling it it's just going to make them last a lot less longer, because you want these to last as long as possible, because you really the bulk of the price. Is the hair not really the application, so you don't have to keep repurchasing more hair just because you're not taking care of it properly. So that's another thing make sure you want to sleep back on it any time that you're going to be like, maybe working out running in the wind um. You know you're going to be doing something or your hair is going to be moving a lot. You want to put it back because you really don't want to tangle it up, and then you have to take them out because you ruin them so always always always always always sleep with your hair pulled back in a braid or a bun or ponytail. You really don't want to sleep without it um another thing do not go to bed with wet hair. Now, when you have more hair, naturally it's going to take a lot longer for your hair to dry um. But, seeing as I went from like super short hair to really long here, it's obviously going to take me a lot longer to style and dry, my hair. So I try to well, it really just depends on your schedule. I try to wash my hair in the morning and let it air dry, because I don't go into work till later in the day. So I try to let it air dry um, that's the best, for you want to put on as less heat as you can now. If you have to blow-dry your hair, make sure it's on one of the low settings and separate your hair, you don't just be flying it around. Making your hair go all over the place because that's when it gets matted and tangled you want to separate it blow. Drive in sections blow it down not all over your place, and then you want to blow-dry out in sections now it takes longer. No, it set aside the fact that you have more hair the fact that you have something bonded to your scalp. It'S going to hold more moisture underneath those bonds. So if you're blow-drying your hair, you want to make sure that you blow-dry, underneath towards your scalp, because that's support because all the rest of my hair will be dry and all of a sudden I'll be like. Oh, my gosh, that is so wet, so your scalp and towards your roots take so long as to dry. It'S just crazy! So that's another thing! You want to make sure you give yourself enough time to wash and dry your hair. So it's not really something that you could shower and leave your house in an hour. It doesn't work like that, so there's maintenance on hair savings. It'S definitely a lot more than some people expect um. It'S not really like your real hair and that you could just let it air dry and sleep and not have to worry about it if it's still wet or anything, they need to be completely dry before you really do anything with your hair. Definitely never put heat tools on them while they're wet ever, even if it says what to dry just don't do it just don't do any type of on wet hair. Just don't do it. It'S going to cause breakage, it's just not going to work. Um oils, like any type of dry oils like argan oil and everything, is really good for your hair extensions for like moisturizing purposes but, like I said, do not get any of it near your scalp. Just put it on the ends so like from here down. You want to put it in now. My natural hair is kind of short too. So, basically, what I do is if I want to put it on my real hair. I would just separate it and then still don't put it near a scalp but like maybe from here down, Oh my actual hair. So that way I get some condition too, because obviously I mean you're still putting a little bit of heat on it. But you don't want to put it anywhere near the tape because it'll cost lipid and then you'll have to get them put back in it's just it's just not worth it. So do not put it near the bonds um trying to think. If that's it, um review on the hotheads hair extension. So aside from all the things about caring for them, the extensions themselves are very good quality they're much better than I thought I would be um. I couldn't find a whole lot of reviews on them, but the quality is actually very good. I will say that they were kind of frizzy after I like um. I first washed them um, but I did like a deep conditioning treatment on them with um. It sounds really, it sounds really gross and let me just tell you did smell good, but it was um, honey, fresh avocado and coconut oil mix it all together, put it in your hair. Leave it in there for, like an hour put it in, like you, want to put your put it up in like a towel or something and then rinse it out, and then I put some oil in the end, so it made it so much more softer. Um! Really, I think it's because I use heat on it and yeah it's just when you use heat on your hair extensions, they lessen the lice, so you need a deep conditioned them so every time I take condition that I've noticed they just get better and better. So the hair quality, I would have to say, is very good, especially for what you bake is honestly. They were a lot cheaper than I expected them to be so, I would say great quality for what you're paying for the other thing, the application process was just great. It only took 30 minutes um the maintenance on these is. I was a normal to my other hair extensions now clip-ins, obviously you're going to have less maintenance because you don't wear them. So you know, even if you wear them at different every day, you don't wash them even twice a week. You probably only wash them once a month, but since they're in your hair and your own hair has to be washed more than that it, you need to wash them more often, but still only wash your hair like every other day. If that, like every three days would be even better, if you can suffer it dry, shampoo will be your best friend the same so dry shampoo. Definitely you want to use, try to use one that doesn't have any sulfates in it, like I said, do not use any type of oils near your roots. Not only does it make your hair look greasy, but it can help the bond slip out and you don't want to do that, but other than that, the hair, the hair itself is just fantastic. I really love it. You can color it. You can straighten it. It'S real human hair, so you can do whatever you would normally do to your natural hair to it. They have a really large color selection um. I would suggest the thing is. I don't think you can order these unless you have like a license, so you would have like to get this brand. You would have to go to a hairstylist, but let them match your hair color. What I did was I'll insert a picture at the end of what my hair looked like before and after and you'll see like my hair was like way different. It was like this red has some blond in it. It just it wasn't cute, but she basically colored my hair to match the extensions that I wanted um. So all of this down here is extensions. We use two different packs, don't remember the color names. I think it was like a seven and an eight. I don't know it was like she used a brown that was like this color on top and then she bought one that was like an ombre. So basically, the way they put them in is they get like small section of your hair and they put a tape. Left on bottom and then a tape left on top and then I sandwich it together. So that way, if you have thick hair, because we only use two packs - and I was like um we're gon na - have to use more than that - I really thick hair and she's like no no you'll be okay. Two backs to backs will be fine for you. It'S like okay, sure, you're, the one who's gon na have to order some more. It doesn't work, but it did so. Two packs is pretty good and the way that it works too is because they sandwich it. If you have safer hair, then it kind of like doubles it up. I can't really explain it, but it like doubles up the West to where, basically, it's like thickening it so it'll work for thick hair and you don't have to order as much hair. Now, if you have thinner hair, there is another option instead of like doubling it up, because if you double it up - and you have really thin here - one you're going to notice it more and then two it's going to be really really heavy. So, instead of doubling it up, they'll just put one either on top or bottom they'll just put a strip a tape over top. So it's not so so heavy um. The other thing is what I really love about. These is because, if you've ever have any type of beaded in or bonded in extensions, if you like, pull your hair up or if you run your hand down the back of your head, you can feel it, and I didn't like that um. I just didn't like that because I, like the more natural, the more natural it looks, the better I really don't wan na you know be going out and sometimes like. Oh, I, like your hair extensions. You know, like oh girl, I know I'm also going to be like. Oh my gosh. I love your hair. How did you get your hair so long? I don't want somebody to be like. Oh, I love your hair extensions. I just don't make it to be that noticeable. So basically, if you want, were to run your hand down the back of my head, you've literally could not feel it at all um, and I can like part my hair, and you can't see it like I'm trying to see if you can even tell but like I could part my hair and you can't see it. I can put it up in a ponytail and you can't see the clip. You can't see the middle, but the other thing about going into professional. Is they know where exactly to place it on your head to where, if you were to put your hair up, you can't see it or, if you were to like part it to the side or part it down the middle or from the other side, you can't See it they know exactly where to place it to where it looks the most natural, no matter how you style, your hair, which is another thing when I suggest, if you're going to go just if you're gon na, do it just go, go to a salon? It'S just worth it um. Also. What else was I going to say there's a lot to say about these, like I couldn't find any information online, it was like at all. Everyone was like how to do it yourself. How did it yourself and like I don't need to know how to do it myself and you don't know how to take care of it myself, so um yeah just take special care of it. You know um, like you, obviously want to take good care of your own hair, but you kind of essentially have to take better care of these. So that way, you're, not you, know, spending the money again in another three months, because you ruined your hair, so um yeah. I just really love these. The color selection was just fantastic and they have all kinds of hair colors that you could imagine. They have like anywhere from like multi tonal blondes to multi tonal browns, to blacks, to hombres, to bright, pink purple blue. They have any color you're wanting. I also have the option, which i think is pretty cool. If you don't really like to bleach your own hair, to get those like bright pops of color in your hair, like maybe just a streak or two, they have these as an option. They'Re much thinner the normal Webster, probably about that that thick, maybe and um the just the colored ones like if you just want to use them for highlights or probably about this thick and um, you could use them. I wouldn't use them for length out. You could just get them cut to your your hair length, but they just use they're just used for highlight. So if you really want like one pink streak, but you don't want to color your hair, but you don't have to get the stupid clippings and have to worry about it, showing that's another thing. I don't know how much those arc I don't have them. So I don't know how much they are, but you would just need to check with your stylist um, but that would that would be really cool without having to color your hair and it stays in um for months at a time. And you just need to go back and get it moved up or you can have it taken out. It'S it's really easy to do check with your stylist. If you go to their website hotheads here, I think it's hot Headz, don't clown or hot Headz hair extentions calm. If you go to their website and you put in your zip code, it'll give you all the salon near you that are certified with them. That would be able to do your hair extension. You can contact them directly to see how much they charge for it, but i I really love it. If you're looking to get some type of permanent solution to hair extensions, I love it. It'S a really really good quality, the prices, the prices - I would say I know it's expensive, but the price I say is definitely worth it for what you're paying for they last a long time, they're good quality. They work. Just like your natural hair, the maintenance isn't really more than I expected. I knew going into it. I would have more maintenance to it. Other than that. I guess I don't really have anything else to say: um they're, just really good, so yeah if you're. Definitely if you're in the Knoxville area look up Sara she's great. She works at Josie's, boutique, she's, fantastic. She colored my hair. She put the extensions in and she caught it and she just did a great job. So yeah, I think that's it. That'S all. I have for now, so thank you all so much for watching now. If you have a great day, bye,

Emily Wisby: Finally a video that explains everything THANK YOU!

Tina Ding: Finding this 3 years later but this is a bomb review thank you ❣️✨

kadie1414: Thanks for taking the time to do this review! They look really natural and good! your color is pretty too! Do you know how many extensions total are in your head? I'm thinking about doing them :) thank you!!

Elizabeth Kennedy: I'm considering tape ins and when I go back to school I will be in the Knoxville area so I'm so happy to see this review!

Melody Patterson: I've worn Zala tape ins for over a year. I get them moved up about every 7 weeks because my hair doesn't grow very fast. My first set has lasted me about 10 months before I ordered a new pack. AMAZING quality....love them!!! I order 60 pieces (30 sandwiches) in the 20" length....the color is Snickers which is mocha brown and dirty blonde mixed. Three packs were only $258 plus shipping and my stylist charged me $75 to install them.

Amanda Ford: How much on average was the cost for the hot head?

4everInYourDreamsJoana: Did they do any damage? For example, hair falling out...? And also how long did they last?

AnaLuisa Perez: Hi, I just got my first hair extensions, but i feel like i only got length. I wanted volume as well. How can I tell the hairstylist that I feel like I paid to much for something that looks halfway done. During my appointment she was fixing her friends hair too, her friend was going to get extensions too. I feel my appointment was rush. I don't want to be that complaining person. Thanks(:

Rebecca Novak: Do you still have the extensions in? were you ever worried about the tape showing? Thanks!

Laurie Ory: I have been using tape ins for 6 months, they do thin out your hair.

kadie1414: Oh, and where did you get your shirt? Super cute!!!

Hanna Marie Wosminity: Hey! What was the price for you 2 packs of extensions?

Evy Wolf: Can you buy the hair extensions yourself and then have a hair stylist put them in is there a website to buy them
