Here’s how to safely wash and care for your extensions so they look just as beautiful and glamorous as when you first bought them. We recommend only washing your extensions when you deem necessary.

Hi loves its Kayla again today, I'm going to show you how to take your belamis from drab to fab, starting from them being dirty, frizzy and tangled to clean, but still frozen, poofy and back to fabulous, voluminous and shiny I'll, be showing you which products we love Use and recommend to make our extensions wearable again. Let'S get started start off by gathering the tops of the extensions where the clips are and secure that with a hair tie just to keep those out of the way when we wash them, because you really don't want to get them wet. I'M gon na then be taking my tangle teezer, which I purchased at sally's. This is an amazing brush to safely comb out all those knots and tangles, and it also ensures that you're not ripping out a bunch of the strands. I'M running the hair under cold water to fully dampen it. We always use a sulfate-free shampoo as well, and today, I'm going to be using the one by healthy, sexy, hair. Sulfate free is a key word when choosing your shampoo, because it also really helps to not strip the color from the hair, but, most importantly, it helps them from drying out. I'M gon na be taking a good amount of the shampoo and Oly saturate the hair. I'M gently massaging it into the hair and again I'm being careful to not pull out any of those strands. I'M going to go ahead and rinse that out using cold water, cold waters a lot easier on the hair and it's less damaging than using hot water. The most important part of the washing process is the deep conditioning our favorite is the one by macadamia deep repair mask which you can find too adds Ulta, since extensions don't produce natural oils, like our hair. Does deep conditioning just adds that softness and shine back to the hair I'm gon na, lay that out on the towel and I'm actually gon na? Let this sit overnight, I'm going to be rinsing out that condition or using cold water again and then I'm just gon na lay the extensions out on a towel and just towel dry them, I'm taking Miracle seven care to miss, which is also found at Sally's, and I'M going to start by applying it to the ends of the extensions. Since our Bellamy's are double drawn, which means they're thick at the ends. They do tangle a little bit easier than our natural hair does. So I really want to focus this and work my way up once the hair is about 30 % drier, so I'm gon na carefully separate the strands using my fingers, and this is just gon na help to speed up the drying time once it's about 90 % Dry, I'm gon na go back in with that tangle teezer and just comb through the hair, starting at the bottoms and again working my way up the hair. Now our belamis are all clean and they're dry, but they're still poofy, which isn't very cute. So don't worry, we're gon na fix that with a few more products, I'm taking a heat protectant, we use the Tresemme thermal creations one and I'm going to completely spray the hair without using heat protectant. You actually have a lot of damage to your extensions and it also leaves them with tons of breakage and frizz. We suggest running a straightener through then. This adds a lot of shine and does help with that frizziness. So here's a before-and-after you have the frizzy, poofy hair and then the sleek shiny, hair, to add even more shine, we're going to be adding an argan oil, I'm going to just apply a small amount to the ends of a few wefts. At a time. You really don't want to add a lot of products because it can add build-up and it just starts to look roast. So here's the finished product, they are shiny, the leaked extensions again they're wearable again, I showed you guys them with them already in and straight and as you can see, they're sleek and shiny they're, not poofy whatsoever. I also showed you them with them curly and filed and they're super shiny voluminous. I hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial and I hope it helped you if it did. Please don't forget to subscribe. But I don't use flat iron I use regular iron, the one for clothes and they are even more amazing after doing that and for a long time.
