If you are thinking about starting your own hair extension business, then one of the things as part of your due diligence that you have to do is to send an ask the vendor to give you hair samples. When you get your test bundles, you are gon na. Have to run through a series of tests to make sure that the hair you're getting is quality hair. What I did was I contacted three different vendors on Alibaba and then I asked them to send me bundles when I ordered the bundle I did order. One 10 inch straight one 10, inch body wave and then also a 360 or all-over lace. Front wig. And I did that because that would allow me to perform the different tests that I do on the air and also give me a chance to wear the hair. To see how it holds up the hip and I'm currently wearing is a 14 inch body wave here, and I have had this hair for over six months. Maybe seven, but I have had a chance to watch the hair, put heat to the hair and also have a chance to put just like chemicals in the hair. So I pretty much know how it holds up and it holds up exactly the way I would want it to hold up for my customer tip number one make sure that the vendor can send you an actual hair bundles sample. So when you reach out to whatever vendor you're looking at, you do want to make sure that they can send you out an actual sample and they're. Not gon na. Send you like a piece of the hair that they cut off a bundle because you need enough hair so that you can actually perform the different tests. So, in my case, my recommendation to you or what I did was - I ordered one 10 inch straight. One 10 inch body wave and then I also ordered a 360 lace front and they gave me an you need to be able to test the hair. If you decide that you're not going to do any type of lace, frontal wig, then you do want to make sure you order enough bundles. So you can actually have an install of the hair, because you want to be able to answer questions about the hair that your customers would have, how better to do that than to have first-hand experience tip number two flat iron, the hair, when you thread iron, the Hair, you will be able to see if there are any short pieces in the bundle. You will have some short pieces of course, but you don't want a lot. If you see a lot, then that's pretty much an indication that the vendor is mixing the hair and you're not really getting the full under that you think so you can do the Flatiron test to chuck or you can do something that I like to call the Squishy ball test and for that test, what you would do is just press down on the bundle and then you can actually see the short pieces. Writing the time tip number three: the burn test take a small strip from the bundle and with the small strip you're going to put it to fire. When you put it to fire, if it's true well or human hair, then it is going to turn to ash. But if it's mixed with a large quantity of synthetic fibers, then you'll see it turn into like a rubbery or plastic material tip number four: the color test take a small section of the hair bundle and you do want to color it to the lightest shade of Blond, the lightest shade of blonde is generally gon na, be like a level ten, so you want to do the lightest shade, so you can see how this has reacts to what you're checking to see for the color test is if the hair becomes super straight or It looks like it's fried after they put color in it. It shouldn't look like that when you put color into it, and even if it is the lightest shade or a level ten of blonde, it should still have like a wavy pattern to it, similar to how healthy hair can take color, how it will look, it shouldn't Be super super straight or look like it's fried tip number five, wash the hair bundle in warm water. Warm clear water will allow you to see if the vendor is mixing the hair with any type of chemical or processing the hair with any type of chemical and also if the vendor is putting any type of hair color in it. You will see that because if it's any type of processing, it'll have like maybe little bubbles in it that look like there's a residue on it or if it's being colored with anything a little bit of that will come out with warm clear water. The last tip is in regards to requesting hair that is double drawn in actuality. There is no such thing as double drawn hair. What you do want is a full cuticle align here. Full cuticle, aligned, hair means that all the cuticles are intact and they flow in one direction from root to tip. So if you receive a bundle and that bundle is like straight across at the end, almost as if they cut it or something to that effect, that's something that you want to be cautious on. You want your hair or they hear that you're going to spell to mimic human hair, so you do want to look for a cuticle align here, because there is no such thing as double drawn. That'S almost like a marketing technique that they use. So that's it for this video. Those are my 5 tips how to test hair bundles if you have any tips or any techniques that you have found that work well for you when you were starting your hair extension business, please be sure to comment below, and let me know about your experiences with Different vendors, whether they're, good or bad, and your best to start your hair extension business thanks.
