Hey folks welcome here we discuss real stories by real people. Today we have the story of a man who finds out his girlfriend of six years has been cheating on him after finding a strand of his hair and others in her secret box. Let'S see how it goes Story, one my girlfriend, 32 and i-34 have been together for over six years, we've also been living together for a few years now for practically the whole duration of our relationship. My girlfriend has had this secret box, which she keeps with her at all times ever since we started dating she's. Never let me see the inside of the Box, not even once. I never minded that though I figured it must have contained some keepsakes from her friends and family or something like that. That really mattered to her. I believed that it was her property and she had every right to keep it to herself. I told myself she would show it to me when she was ready, so I never cried. One day, though, I was out of the house when I returned, I walked in on her fiddling around the box as soon as she noticed my presence, she quickly shut the box close and shouted at me asking why I was there and what I was trying to Do I was very baffled, I've always known about the box and never asked or tried looking into it. So I didn't understand why she got so sensitive when I just walked into the room. Her reaction was too aggressive, so naturally I became very curious, but I didn't say anything I just let her finish shouting and waited till she left. I tried to keep my curiosity at Bay, but something just didn't feel right so later on when she went out, I couldn't resist so for the first time in so many years I decided to find out what was inside the box. I needed to know what made her so secretive and sensitive when I opened the box I froze in shock inside it were literal Bunches of human hair labeled with names and in very specific dates. I found mine amongst them carrying my name in the timestamp of six years. Back there were quite a number of names and years, both before and after mine. I couldn't come up with any reasonable explanation for what I was looking at. So I just carried the box out with me and opened it in the living room. I was genuinely creeped out and I needed an explanation, so I waited for her to come back home when she returned. She saw me sitting in the living room with her box. Open in front of me immediately got angry ready to fight. I asked her what this was and why there was a bunch of my hair, amongst others, stored in a box in her house, for who knows how long, but, instead of replying, she started yelling, accusing me of disrespecting her by invading her privacy and looking through her Stuff, even though I knew she never let me see it, I told her. I had a right to know, considering that my hair was literally in there, but she insisted she would tell me nothing because it was none of my business. We kept on arguing back and forth, but she wouldn't budge, so I decided to let her be and gave it up if she was so hell-bent on keeping quiet I'll, find my own Answers by investigating on my own later that night, while she was asleep, I stole Her phone and installed a hacking software on it that allows me to clone her phone and see all her activity. The next day I picked up my phone and saw her texting her best friend of seven years, telling her all about how I had found and opened her secret box and saw the hair samples in it made a scene demanding answers and almost ousted her. I realized that her best friend must have known all about her Antics, so I knew she was my shot at getting all the answers I seek. While my girlfriend was out at work, I decided to take the day off. I called in sick and stayed back at home, taking my time to look through her phone. I went through her pictures and even looked through her hidden files and folders. I went through all her chats with her best friend and eventually, all the pieces came to play turns out. She collected hair samples of guys after she slept with them, which meant that all those samples before and after me were men that she had slept with over the years. If I wasn't creeped out before I sure was now honestly, I was grossed and scared shitless. This seemed like some Voodoo and I was worried for my life at this point. I wasn't even worried about the fact that she had been cheating on me with multiple men. I was more concerned with what she was planning to do with all our hair immediately. I texted my brother. I told him all that I had just discovered and asked him for help. I needed to get away from her and I needed to do it fast. The following day I applied for a job, a few states away in the same company. I work at here, even though it came with lesser pay and found myself an affordable apartment, where I knew she wouldn't be able to find me in the next few weeks. I prepared everything I needed to get away without her knowledge and to ensure she won't ever find me when everything was set and all that was left was for me to move. I waited for the perfect time one day while she was out for a nail appointment. I quickly packed all the stuff I needed with the help of my brother and drove away. I left the state and blocked her number on my phone for the next few days. She tried contacting me with different numbers, but I ignored all calls. Eventually. I got a new number and disconnected the old one, leaving her far away for good. I heard that she's still looking all over for me, apparently she's still a whole mess. I don't care I just needed to be away from her and all her creepy, I'm still somewhat in shock of the true colors of the woman I had loved and trusted you handled the situation perfectly op, I'm so glad you got out of there fast and didn't Look back, you were never gon na get the truth from her anyway, so it's better to just try and forget she doesn't exist and that the woman you loved and trusted for six years turned out to be someone you didn't know at all. I don't know what she was doing with your hair and the other hair strands you found in her box, but it is certain she's been cheating on you. You owe her nothing just move on with your life and continue staying away from her story. Two we were together for about four years cohabitating for about three, but we were having some issues with communication. I believed the problem was due to our opposite work schedules. She worked in the mornings while I worked at night, which left us with limited time together. She informed me that she had made a new friend at work and since we were both socially awkward and struggled to make friends, I was happy for her. I began to suspect that something was amiss when she stopped discussing him openly, including plans to hang out at our place. However, I brushed it off as unfounded jealousy. She began to smell of cigarette smoke, which we agreed not to do early in our relationship. Her new friend was a heavy smoker and I now realize that he influenced her smoking habits. My objection to smoking and his approval of it evidently influenced her preference for him. She grew increasingly distant from me, but every time I raised the issue, she dismissed it by stating nothing's wrong. It'S all in your head. This was a relationship that I believed had a bright future, so I took her at her word in the hope that things would improve. I was incredibly naive. She started searching for a one-bedroom apartment that allows cats which we owned together, and she said she was assisting her friend in finding his own place. I wanted to believe her, so I fell for her ruse. The last straw came when she arrived home from work late. Admitting that she had gotten off work earlier, but refused to explain where she had been, she eventually fell asleep. On the couch the following day, I discovered her phone on the floor and when I picked it up, her text to him were still on the screen, including an explicit message about his throbbing genitals. I was mortified. I wish I had never read the messages every time I close my eyes. I see them laughing at me for being so clueless for the last month they had been sexting each other, even when we were together, such as at a family birthday party or out on a date, it's tough to come to grips with how out of character. This is for the girl. I fell in love with years ago, I'm still in shock, I confronted her about it and after feigning ignorance, she eventually admitted to it and declared that she was leaving me on Monday. While I was at work, she intended to pack her belongings and leave. I haven't been home since I left that morning and I'm afraid of what I'll find when I return. I'M scared of seeing them there together of what they might do and of what I might do, I'm unsure of what to do next. I understand that I must continue to move forward, but I can't see the way forward, I'm not seeking advice, but any recommendations will be welcomed. I'M mostly attempting to write this down and clear my head. I'M sorry! This happened to you op, I'm sorry. The person you gave your heart to turned out to be a liar and a cheater. I'M sorry, you didn't even get the satisfaction of breaking up with her. She took that away from you, I'm sorry. She wasn't a good enough person to tell you her feelings, have changed and break things up with you, instead of sneaking behind your back, it would have hurt, but it would have been so much better than this. I would ask you to talk to people close friends and family, keep yourself busy and get a new hobby. It'S gon na be hard for a while, but just know that, with time you won't feel so hurt anymore. The pain will lessen and lessen until you won't be bothered At All by a memory of her or even the mention of her name, take care of yourself op. You deserve better than a cheating partner. Now, for some comments, sorry, this happened to you. You aren't stupid. You were a loving, trusting man more man than she deserves. It will take some time to work this betrayal, it's gut-wrenching self-care, is very important right now. I agree with the other posters clean out your place. Redecorate change. The locks keep your chin up. She is the one who should feel shame hang in there friend, it's so hard to deal with this. I'Ve never experienced it and I hope I don't have to, but that fear always exists for everyone from an outsider's perspective. I think it's going to take a while for you to overcome the shock. Take your time through this surround yourself with some positive friends. Don'T do anything rash or try to go for someone new to Mellow the pain you don't have to forgive and forget, but leave her behind and never ever look back, it'll hurt, but over time it'll be more bearable. You'Ll get better at handling the pain. Take it one day at a time, I sincerely hope that one day you'll overcome this and that someone, wonderful and amazing will come into your life, but before that remember to respect and love yourself. If, if you need anyone to talk to I'm here, I'm so sorry for your pain, my man, I will say you're fortunate in the sense that you get a relatively clean break. I'M glad for your sake. There was no marriage or children or mortgage look. Who gives an F where you're supposed to be going just keep your head up and keep going the best revenge is happiness and success, but take your time with your feelings when you're sad, don't push it away, because we're supposed to man up be with it and Mourn the loss as if it were death, but don't cling to sadness, to deny yourself joy and if you need to go to counseling they're, not just for the severely traumatized they're for talking out your issues and making sense of it all. Maybe you only need four sessions, maybe more, but it can help prevent you from missing love in the future. Because of what this one woman did to you be strong man, foreign

Bucketus, Lord of Buckets: Let's ignore the cheating. If I was going out with a woman for 6 years and found she cataloged hair from men she kept with, I would burn the box and leave a me-shaped cloud where I was standing

Angga Maulana: Story 1: Damn....for 6 years OP didn't just dated a serial cheater, but also a creep.

Mike: Was she keeping the hair in case she got knocked up so she would have DNA samples to prove who the daddy was?

Okay DAF: Damn, the first girl is one fatal action away from her serial killer journey.

George Kelly Jr: 1ST story, the only thing he did wrong was not recording him burning ALL the hair up and left a note telling her to thank her best friend for telling me the truth about your other fuck buddies. Just to screw with their friendship.

abdilie: Story 2: If she loved you, she would have adapted her work schedule to synchronize with your work schedule OP

J Corbett: Story 1: Crazy Alert!!! You did the right thing there, OP - just "vanished" and never contacted her ever again. That lady is scary!. Story 2:Try and forget about her, but be prepared for her to come back if her "new man" dumps her ass. They always come back. Don't, no matter what else you do, take her back. If you take her back, she will see you as weak and do exactly the same thing with someone else, because she will know if it goes wrong, she can always count on you to take her back. DON'T be that guy. Also, learn what Red Flags are. The moment she talked about her "new friend" was a red flag. Women talk about male co-workers because they are interested in them. (even if they say they dislike/hate them) The moment she STOPPED talking about her "new friend" was a Red Square Parade of red flags and when she stopped being interested and started effing him.

Russell Monson: 1- Why did he NOT grab his own hair sample? That is something I could not look past. I guess another great reason not to have hair...

DrownedInExile: S1: That was insane. The only different thing OP should have done, is gather evidence. Take photos of her convos and her Se7en-box with all the names and timestamps. Then burn it. And out her on SM as a creep. Don't give her a chance to spin the narrative.

Mrwillie95: Op is so lucky that he got away from this nasty topic girlfriend and didn’t have kids with her story 1

Priya Popea: One of the few times I’d say cheating is the least of his worries. Collecting hair? That’s absolutely unhinged.

Kevin Naranek: Story 1: You did well and did even better if you took your hair sample when you left.

Andrea Basaure: Story 1: Plot twist, girlfriend's a serial killer.

silmar pinheiro: Story 1. He did it right. But if it happens to you and you really wants to spice things up you should talk to one of her friends like this one that knew but didn't tell you just point her the list of names having the care to add the name of her boyfriend in the list(if it's not already in it). Then just walk away from the explosion.

Rose Santos: I started laughing when OP mentioned voodoo. That's the first thing that came to mind.

Solace Ixinera: Yeah i am fairly certain thats illegal. Cutting hair is assault

Asura: "This seemed like some voodoo shit" when he said that I started laughing like that is some creep shit.

Angel Cordova: Im assuming in case she gets pregnant and needs a paternity test

Jaden Grant: That girl dabbles in some form of occult stuff.

jack chop: The hair thing is creepy tbh.

Ibn Khaldoun: story 1: if he was leaving, he should have destroyed the box.

Corey Martin: The only thing crazier than her having a box full of mens' hair....is him not breaking up with her even before the cheating was found out. Seriously, how is it not his business that she has hus hair? That's absurd. I would have taken my hair back out and refused to spend another hour in the same place as her, especially alone. I would have taken a picture of the contents and told her that if she ever caused trouble posy break-up, abd slandered me.....the pic would be uploaded online.

Shining Friday: That's some serial killer shit

The Old Man and the Sea of Cats: Can we find an alternative to “chunks” of hair? That’s grossing me out.

Dragonborn2182 Mike: I hope the dude took his hair with him and threw it out in the new state, I wouldn't wanna risk no voodoo shit. Nah but in all seriousness this girl was asked if she wanted to be creepy or a cheater and straight up just answer with "yes". Like, just pick one, not both.

Kevin Rehberg: Story 2:: As difficult as it may be now,,,, Consider this a much-needed lesson for the future.. She is no better than a pan handler seeking change on a busy street corner with her intentions.. She was playing you and was in the process of leaving but you caught her in the act...

Anthony M: That’s weird and extremely creepy I would have snooped a long time ago just out of curiosity.

Tara Martin: 1st story: Hope OP reclaimed his stolen hair from the trophy box before he got free of crazy.

BW022: Story 1: OP, new lesson. Never commit to a girl who keeps any secrets. Next time, wait until they want to be exclusive and say "I don't commit to women who don't provide me with 100% access to all phones and social media at all times, without complaint, and without delay. Please provide your phone and all passwords." When moving in and she has some 'secret' box. "I don't commit to women who keep secrets nor do I allow things in my house which I don't know and no I don't trust you. Drugs, underage pictures, dangerous medicines, firearms, additional electronic devices I'm not away of, stolen goods, etc."

Scotty S: I was waiting for the first guy to mention that he took his own hair sample with him. I dont believe in voodoo but why take chances

Jesus Saldana: Like she wasn't already a mess..........Dude, don't worry about cheating, that hair shit would be my biggest concern.....I'd gtfo faster than Dak Prescott against an actual good team.....good job on the scramble and hail mary

gigadrill0000: She was keeping that hair for DNA testing if she got pregnant so she can maury the guy with you ARE THE FATHER.

Airess Santana: I would have stolen my hair back before I left. That's just... Odd

jason rustmann: Should have let her creepy secret out to everyone in addition to vanishing, don't give her the chance to spin whatever lies about you she can fellas

Mrwillie95: Beto bet op girlfriend is going to regret her actions when the affair fog is lifted and she that made a mistake story 2

MadMacks615: first story man avoided a serial killer keeping trophies. Good on you but never trust secret anything. it's always just hiding something horrible. Story 2: I can't figure out why you would give that disloyal scallywag til Monday. I would have said why wait? I'm breaking up with you now go ahead and get your stuff and bounce, not now but RIGHT now! Always value your sanity over her happiness. She could care less if it drives you crazy making her happy. A lot of ladies don't get that we are in a dating market bubble burst. Men are wise to the stacked deck and are rightfully opting out. the market correction is coming

John Davidson: The best revenge is always to make yourself better and more desirable and if she comes looking for you again laugh in her face

Roronoa Zoro: Story 1 : Thats female Ted Bundy and OP was the one who got away but she will get to him one day in Final Destination style. So OP live your life whatever left of it till she get you.

Kangsun Cho: Story 1 GF: Your hair will make a fine edition into my collection(cough)!

Prairie Hawker: Were there other signs as weird as the box? Did she have a Baron Samedi doll in the corner? Watch Serpent and The Rainbow a lot? Maybe had a nick name of Santeria? Lol

mikebri527: HUGE RED FLAG!! Men, if a woman ever does something like this to you, dump her or divorce her right away. That is a sign of disrespect and once a man is disrespected by a woman, it's over.

C Paul: story 1- but what did she do with all the hair?! Man, I would HAVE to find out for sheer curiosity.....hahahahha

George Kelly Jr: Also there is NO PRIVACY in a relationship. If he had looked years ago he wouldn't have WASTED 5yrs for NOTHING. Where did this stupid ass thinking come from?

Skreggie: Has anybody noticed that when a woman says I’m going out with my friend is usually recalled as a dude I’m a man but when she says I’m going out with my best friend it’s a woman I mean I don’t even know how that’s real but in multiple of the stories you can see that.

Remianen: Story 1 is...yikes! That bish CRAZY. Only serial killers take souvenirs of their conquests. Story 2 is a perfect example of why you don't take a woman at her word. They don't think like we do. Their word isn't nearly as important to them as our word is to us. For many (if not most) men, if we give our word, you can bet your retirement on it. With women, if they give their word, it's only valid the nanosecond they give it to you. After that, it's like an expired coupon. They'll give you excuses like, "Things change". As for the first comment, you can be a loving man without being a sucker. You don't give trust blindly (in some places, doing so could cost you your life) and based on his description, his wife did NOTHING to deserve that level of trust.

Logical Guy: 1st story I hope you took your hair out the box plus made a list of all the other guys names in the box.

SuperMathMan: Why don't these Reddit channels ever post a link to the original story ?

Eileen Hathaway: Because I am petty, I would have found that box again to undo all the hair, mix it up and leave it on the table. If I was also crazy like her, I would have waited until she was asleep and shaved off a bunch of her hair! But I am not that nuts...sigh.

AndyShep: S2 I don't get guys that just let gfs move out of their apartment but don't stay there while they are packing crap up and moving out. Then they are always shocked when the GFs take stuff that wasn't there's.

Kenneth Curtis: I mean, there's worse things she could have collected from them.

Johann Charles: I would’ve burned the contents of the box before I left

Jason Carter: It’s hard to tell if OP’s GF is a serial cheater or a serial killer.

dageekundaground: I hope he took his hair sample with him so does she couldn't do anything with it real or Supernatural.

Michael Gibson: Both stories: Where do you get these weirdos.

Damian Cook: story 1 good try maybe try sending this story to quentin tarantino or steven king one day your story may be made into a movie lol

C Paul: story 2 - So, OP, what is the difference between advice and recommendations?

Leo MCMLX: Story One Should have destroyed all the hair examples

FreezyPop: Secret box? Who is she, Patrick Star???

Cam Mando: Talk about “trophy girlfriend!” Lol bad dad joke.

paton harrower: What’s in the box? WHAT’S IN THE BOX?

Brian Smaller: You don't often hear about female trophy collectors. Interesting.

CEO Erick Hayden: The DNA is in her box.

MGTOW-Balance: the chick with the hair thing, i wonder if she wore a red string bracelet on her left wrist

William Richardson: And then women always ask were are the good men at there out there but don't want to open up there heart again for any woman because if what has been done to them bad already by a woman they loved in past !!!!

Black Hammer: I have seen this before in real life lol.

Beve Smith: Both stories give me the vibe that neither girls will care for long.

Mia: I hope he got rid of the hair.

NemFX: Locks of hair used to be a thing. She's either REALLY old fashioned, or wants to do magic.

Jeffrey Wendt: Story 1: Was her name Pandora?

J Kosov: Why he didnt take the box and destroy it

Peter Southern Boy: At least he got out before she started collecting heads

alan k: So she kept hair as trophies

Robert Fernando: Seven, What's in the box?

Vincent Paul Almayda: What's in the box!!

Burnt Blonde: Super creepy

Heavy J: Story 1 is fake as hell
