If you're not ready to get your views on Hair Care, absolutely rocked, then do not watch this video. But if you don't want to go into 2023 delusionally, then these are 73 Hair Care truths that we hate to admit it. But we love to see when we're speaking truthfully: okay, listen Vogue! I am your main girl Mel licensed hair care, professional, always continuing my education, and I want to share this very important information with you. So you no longer waste any more time and money on false hope without further Ado. This is your final warning because some of these may shock and disturb you, but let's get to it cold. Water is not sealing your cuticle because it can't it's not. Temperature that affects swelling but pH conditioner will not clean your hair, so throw the co-wash away. Your hair loss could be happening because of your shampooing or lack thereof. Your hair texture is genetic and you can't physically change it not from the root. At least curl training is not making your hair curly and when I say curl training, I'm referring to you know twisting your hair. When you're doing a mask, you don't have to do all that if your texture is very different around your face or at the crown of your head. This is because of the natural growth patterns and there's nothing. You can really do about that. Major hormonal changes in the body will affect your hair growth. Your hair pattern may change throughout the years that could be tighter or looser. Slicking your hair in a bun every day can still damage your curl pattern. Diffusing your hair with cold air doesn't seal. Your cuticle heat will not always damage your hair, but your tight, ponytails they're, causing breakage baby hairs, will not grow into adult tears similar to your skin. Your hair needs UV protection. You do not have to wash your hair every single day you, you should wash your hair at least once every two weeks, and that means clarifying it's like the bare minimum really once a week, but everyone's different two weeks at Max two weeks at Max. Please, your dandruff probably isn't really dandruff dry. Scalp is not the same thing. You need to know the difference, because they're treated differently, the skin cycle is 28 days. You need to exfoliate you're gon na have flanks, sulfates and shampoos aren't the problem. It'S how often you're using them your collar on your shirt, is causing a lot of breakage and knotting in the back. You can add jewelry on to that water does not moisturize your hair oils. Do not moisturize your hair. You do not have to wash your hair after every workout, but sweat does contain lactic acid, as well as DHT and in excessive amounts. These can cause hair loss. The uneven density, split ends and breakage on one side of your head may be due to how you're placing your purse or backpack on your shoulder. Your back knee is probably being caused by your hair products. Styling products just do not belong on the scalp. You using a curling wand on your wonky curls is only going to make them wonkier. You determine your hair's Health. You are what you eat. Drinking more water will solve 99.9. Your hair problems, hair growth and how long your hair can grow is predetermined by your genetics. The best hair vitamins are wellness and food when it is ingested not by putting it topically on your hair. Your medication could be having an effect on your hair Health. We have all Fallen under the marketing Ploy of curly. Hair products can still use the product on your hair, even if it's marketed for straight and vice versa, because your texture doesn't matter. It'S your brush. Your scalp needs skin care. Clean beauty doesn't really mean [, __ ], because no one's regulating it natural products, don't always mean better and not all professional products. Are it Sis bottom line? You don't have to spend a lot of money on your hair products. Expensive does not mean better, you might not need more product, just wetter hair when styling increasing the water content in your hair is not what you want to do here. Silicones are not bad for your hair. You just don't know how to use them. Unless you are a chemist and you've tried it, you don't know if a product is bad for you, one and done products should be done with, because one product can solve all your problems. Cutting your hair does not make it grow any faster. Your damaged straight ends are not likely to curl again without a haircut. A trim is still a haircut. A dry cut, isn't the only way to cut curly hair, a haircut done on wet or straight hair will give you a cleaner, more concise Haircut layers are not numbered like one two, three lemon juice and hydrogen peroxide found in sun-in products will not lighten your hair, But they will eat through your cuticle and expose the underlying pigment which is going to be warm and your hair will be orange. Hair color, even if it is permanent color, does not last forever and it will fade permanent hair color is permanent because the strands are permanently altered until they grow out coloring. Your hair at home is a chemical process and should not be done without taking proper precautions. Like wearing gloves and doing strand tests and trusting a professional bestie, you shouldn't bleach your hair again. If your curl pattern is already struggling, overlap is going to be Overkill, heat protectant actually works and is necessary. Just look in me. You can't naturally change your curl pattern. Keratin treatments leave your hair damaged long after they've Washed Out protein sensitivity. Isn'T really a thing unless you live in the mountain tops, never wash your hair and you're never exposed to the sun. You do not have naturally low porosity hair. Technically speaking, High porosity hair refers to damaged hair because the porosity has holes in there, but that doesn't mean damaged. Curls brushing your curly hair wet will not pull out the curls brushing your hair wet will not break your hair unless you have no elasticity. So it's fried and dyed and brushing your hair dry will cause breakage if you have poor elasticity. So, although typically hair is more fragile, when it is wet, if your hair is very dry and curly, this is going to do more damage to you. Don'T do it! You cannot reverse or permanently seal split ends. You can only prevent them. A perm is permanent until it grows out and you cut it off because remember the damage to lives in the hair, you can grow mold in the hair. If you keep it wet for too long, getting your hair done is a luxury, not a necessity. You do not have to be a professional to cut hair. Your hair is not better than someone else's because it's looser or tighter that's texturism. You cannot increase the thickness of your hair only the density of it. Currently, the only treatments that are proven effective for hair growth is minoxidil AKA Rogaine. There is such thing as too much of a good thing: AKA, don't overdo it with the treatment. There are more important problems than your hair. You are more than your hair. Your natural hair is fancy enough. You do not need long hair to be beautiful. You do not need curly hair to be beautiful, but, most importantly, you do not need straight hair to be beautiful. That is 73. listen. I know some of these are very hard to hear and this list is not complete, nor is it finites. Can there be some exceptions to certain things? Yes, technology continues to get better and we are evolving and, most importantly, I wanted this video to be a reminder that you are too your hair is evolving, its needs are evolving and, as we are vulnerable and looking for solutions to our hair care problems, we can Be very easily influenced to try certain things that ultimately may not be able to help us, but ultimately I hope that this video helped you. These are all topics that I've touched on at some point or another throughout my time, creating on this channel. If you have specific questions about anything, do let me know in the comment section below and let me know which truth was the hardest for you to hear. Manes by Mell: we wanted to get this up before the world cup soccer game, who's been watching?! also IM SORRY ABOUT MY NECKLACE i had no idea it was like that and it bothered me too. fml okay love you dont come for me just ask questions!

K E: The one that shocked me the most was "cold water doesn't seal your cuticle." Makes me feel less guilty for NOT doing that all these years because I can't stand cold showers!

Aseel s: 'you dont need straight hair to be beautiful' really touched me ive been really struggling to accept my curly hair and stuck in the mentality that straight hair makes me prettier and i really needed to hear that ❤ thank you Mell!

Bbymks5: "You do not need long hair to be beautiful" *louder* for the people in the back!

Madeline Ovalles camilo: The first 7 minutes of this video felt like a very informative ROAST, yet 7 minutes in it suddenly turned into a motivational speech moment. Loved it Mell!

Deanna: Shout out to Amanda for her awesome editing skills too!! Much love and happiness!! Xoxo

Kendyl Cohn: "Your hair is fancy enough" made me realize that I've historically assumed I need to straighten my hair for fancy/special events... Why is that?? I am not going to straighten my hair for the holiday party this week ➿

Adrianna Rodriguez-Rafeequllah: I really appreciate your consistency and love how informative and educational all your videos are. And I absolutely love your personality and sense of humor!! Thank Youuu!!

Ioana Schifirnet: Love that you’ve addressed the whole “hair hydration” situation! I have been guilty of doing the most haha and I have now relaxed about my hair and it feels less like a part time job which is a blessing!

Jennifer Price: Your hair doesn’t have to be long to be beautiful was something I struggled with for a while. I kept wanting long hair even though the thickness and density caused migraines and headaches when it got long, I hated taking care of it and I would every year or two get it cut to my shoulders. Finally made the decision to get it cut to chin length with some layers almost two years ago now and it hasn’t gotten longer than my shoulders if I can afford to get it cut since.

Shea the Sarcastic: My hair was always wavy, but since going through menopause and letting it go natural (no more dye) it’s gotten very curly. I really enjoy what I learn from your videos since having curls is a relatively new experience for me.

Bonnie Simon: This should be mandatory for anyone with hair! So damn good! I love that you don't ever feel the need to not say something to sell something like a lot of hair content creators ✌️✨

Danalynn Mendoza: I wish Mel and this video was around when I was younger. I think it would've helped me embrace my textured hair sooner. And not listen to the bullies.

Caroline Coward: You do not need hair to be beautiful.

Lucy Alonso: And speaking of hair care, I got two questions that I’d really love for you to answer: 1)Do I have to use a conditioner after deep conditioning my hair? 2)Can I leave some of the deep conditioning in my hair or do I have to rinse it all out? Thank you, Mell, you’re awesome!

Latisha Brady: Love the video! I was born with curly hair and nobody in my family knew what to do but I’ve learned how to care for and love my curly hair! You rock & thank you for all you do!

Brinda George: I have done my own hair since I was 17, seeing stylists only occasionally. I know everything you say is totally true! If you have any connections with a Black dermatologist, could you feature one on your videos to pump up the credibility for Afro- American (including women of Afro-Latina and Caribbean descent) who are suffering much hair loss and many health issues to the myth of their hair care routine requiring masses of attached extensions and "weave", way to much product and infrequent shampooing.

Carrie S.: Even before you said it, you taught me to love my naturally wavy/curly hair by teaching me how to care for it. I now love my hair as it is, especially since it is so much more healthy now. Thank you!

Yousie: The darker color looks so good on you! I had a balayage on my hair in 2020 and it was soo much harder to make my hair look healthy. Now I went back to black/dark brown (my natural color) and it looks so much better and healthier. I love that you did the same thing :D

Willowy13: My hair change was due to the no/low poo. It went from medium, bright, dense, 3a/3b curls (from root) to fine, opaque, low density, 2b/2c/3a mess with hair loss. I went back to my old routine after 7 years of no poo and I got most of it in order, save my hair isn't curling from roots anymore. It was my fault because by the first month of no/low poo, my hair was already behaving strangely, but I kept going on because of the hype. I sure was doing something wrong and the hair had to get used to the new regime. I changed brands, but turns out it was the no/low poo. I love my sulfate and silicones. Now it is changing again because menopause, but at least this I can't control. I do need desesperately to drink more water. Usually I drink around 1.5L when it should be atleast 2L and, if considering my weight, it must be at least 3L. I prefer wet cuts.

Natalie Dean: Mel, you're great!! You said some things that I've been trying to tell people for years, but they don't want to believe me! Thanks for this video!

Christi Richardson: This was another amazing journey! I'm new to the curl world... my whole life I thought my hair was just frizzy and heard about plopping on a game show and thought that would be a faster way of drying. Had NO CLUE I had curly hair. Needless to say, I had a head full of curls after plopping and have spent the last couple of months trying to figure out what to do with this mop. I LOVE your channel and have been watching all of your videos. I think the thing I struggle with most is finding a balance between products. I put too little in and I get frizz galore in just a day or two. So I followed one of your videos and finally got the volume I was looking for since my hair is normally limp curls. But now I'm dealing with icky feeling hair. I think from too much product. Ugh The struggle is REAL. :)

Teri Steele: Thank you for the no co wash thing. Been saying it since the deva curl crapstorm.

Kristin C.: The end left me feeling better. After losing my tight Arby curly fry ringlets because of the hormones from having kids, I got my hair permed 3 years in a row. It's never looked the same, felt the same, or could be styled the same. I've decided to grow it out and come to grips with my looser curls.

Herbalina: Increased DHT after a workout is important to know. I've already been washing on workout days so I'm happy to know that was a good habit to start. Have you done a video on how to use silicones the right way? I've just been avoiding them thinking they won't wash out properly. Love your videos.

Faye Berman: This video was just what I needed to hear today. With hormone changes and medication, my hair has changed, and I’m definitely feeling less than thrilled about it. No one wears a fedora like you!!!!

Fatimah Ibrahim: I would like to add that the minimum products you should have include a good clarifying shampoo (can be used as your every wash shampoo if you wash like once a week), a good hair mask (in place of a regular conditioner), a good leave on cream (leave on conditioner, curl cream, a cream-gel hybrid or a conditioner that can be used as a leave in like the curlsmith one) and an oil. You can make do and have good looking/feeling and healthy hair with few resources. You don't have to have a million products.

TK: You have confirmed all of my fears. I had gorgeous curls and then I got into my 40s and weird things happened. I have no idea how to style my hair with "Kinda Curly" texture. I even went to a doctor to check my hormones which are being regulated but still... ::SIGH::

Jellybean: Thank you so much for the info and videos. I have never liked my curly hair but my hair needed a break from straightening. You helped me learn how to care for it and bring out the best. I never new how curly I was. Now I am motivated to caring for my hair to nurture the curls! Here’s to an awesome 2023 for your channel

Aya Walia-allah: "you don't need straight hair to be beautiful" I wish someone would told me that when I was a teenager. I remember wasting all my money to get a Brazilian blowouts to stop my classmates make fun of me and I only got compliments when my hair was silky straight. And when the treatments were strating to wear off or my hair strating to grow I spend so much time straighting my roots and frizzy parts with a flat iron. After two big chops and three years of transitioning to my natural hair, I feel that I love my hair more than ever

May: I went to the derm and she said I have seborrheic dermatitis and she put me on a medicated shampoo. Since then my curls have been incredibly weighed down and stretched out. But that’s something I’m willing to deal with because my hair is really soft AND my scalp doesn’t itch incessantly anymore.

Annikah Burnham: Something I would love to see you do is your reaction to some of your older videos! See how much your routines have changed and how much you've learned and grown!

Madison Terry: Hey Mell and Amanda! I received a box from y'all yesterday and I just wanted to say thank you so much for all the wonderful goodies!! Me and my hairs can't wait to try them!

Rebecca Bagnall: “You are more than your hair.” This is hard for me because my mood for the day depends on how my hair looks.

Christina Colon: YES LADY!!!!!! People she speaks TRUTH. Every person I’ve told about this woman has thanked me. “Start with episode 1” It’s addicting!!!

Néné: Can't wait for texture Tuesday today! The one weekday I absolutely love! It's been 3 weeks so I hope we get to see a brand new 2023 video today! ❣️

chicky875: off topic but can we talk about why salons charge WAY more for a “curly cut” it feels like discrimination or something idk ??? like why are we charging people born with curly hair more?? i read an article (2019) that said approx 65 percent of the U.S. population has curly, coily or wavy hair so why isn’t everyone trained to cut this hair type?

Sara M.: Love this video!! Very informative facts in just 10 minutes! My question is about the baby hairs. How do they not grow into adult hair ?

Trisha Jones: I am so grateful for you. That message at 7 minutes was something that I really needed to hear today.

Melissa Madrid: I love your videos. I would love to see a video for women in their 40’s and have grey hair. My curl pattern is different for my grey hair vs my non-grey hair.

Diana Rubio: The hormone thing is 100% true I was born with pin straight hair. After my period came I noticed my hair started growing frizzy now I have cork screw curls

betina hristova: Hey, Mell ! Thank you for this video and thanks for pointing out you don't need straight hair to be beautiful. I have struggled a lot with that and most days I just wonder- cant I be normal and have normal hair, like most of the girls... PS. Argentina is going to win for sure!

Heather DeMar: So many good things for me to hear. Thank you for making this! And very entertaining

Kaleena Caro: I'm LOVING your new hair shape and color. Looks so good

LaVonne Eby: Loved the video! Please do a video on the science of hair porosity! I've always thought that I had low porosity hair, but now I have so many questions because I've never heard someone say that its rare.

willow tree: this is so good! i appreciate what curly & natural hair influencers have taught us, but some of that ish was just straight up wrong lol. and that's ok, our hair improved regardless. but we can stop now haha.

Karamy Renfrow: Love what you said about low-porosity hair being quite rare. It's especially uncommon in curly hair. So much misinformation about porosity out there and so many people that believe their hair to be low-porosity when it's clearly not.

Stephanie Penglase: Dear Santa: All I want for Christmas is for all my curly-haired beauties to find this channel!!

Molly Lighthart: This video was so good! Loved the end especially! Question also: I know you have mentioned not using texturizing shears on curly hair. My hairstylists did and the results have not been good. Any advice? Thank you Mell and Amanda <3

Dante Velasquez: THANK YOU! None of those truths were hard for me because I'm trying to get people to see them all the time. Especially the last few you said. Happy Holidays

SabrinaMarieAlvarez: I got my hair straightened for thanksgiving and it never curled again after, pretty sure she permed it without asking. This video proves that imma just have to chop my hair to get it back. Thankyou

Leah Fruit: Absolutely amazing I’m SO here for this, girl.

Kelly Pollet: I love you and yes, one of these things was hard for me to hear. Since I started doing a final rinse with cold water and letting me hair air dry or defuse with low heat setting, my hair has no more frizz (only using the LUS all in one leave in conditioner). If I rinse with warm or hot water, I’m going to have frizz. I’m sticking with the cold final rinse and will always continue to watch and support you.

Dora Kalea: I love every single piece of your videos i was screaming when you said about the curl training in greece we dont have many experts in curly hair so everything its on our hands god help us we have you for a guide thank you❤️

Christina: Love this! The baby pink glasses…omgosh I lost it laughing You’re the best, Mell! And your hair looks incredible, as always.

Anita Kay: You are so awesome. Some of the info is so overwhelming. Keeping it simple, and using the advice you give (specifically for waves) has been awesome.

Rachel Le Bel: I freakin love your humor and personality! You are a gorgeous soul! ❤ I love all your videos!

Ariana C.: Omg, I had no idea my scalp was just dry this whole time, thank you so much for making this video!!! (Also I try really hard to wash once a week but it's so hard I'm sorry)

Néné: Omg THANK YOU FOR THIS SOOOOOOO MANY of us need this. Really... seriously......having a looser texture doesn't make us less beautiful. I live this video. As all of your amazing videos. Thank you Mell!!!

Karen S.: Great video. I've only recently started to diffuse my curls and yes, it makes a big difference. My curls are much better. You said to use a heat protector. Can you recommend some of your favourites? If you've already got a video about this please direct me there. Thanks!

Michèle Meyer: I love your videos and this one is just sooooo true. I wish, all of the fanatic curly and wavy people out there could see this

Julie: Love this! Mel, can you do an updated video on color treated hair maintenance? Particularly keeping Demi color in longer

Pippi Langkous: So is it true you can't die your hair when you're having your period? Alllllll of my hairdressers always warned me about that one; guess it makes sense...but since you're online: Mel, what's the real story regarding being a hormonal wreck and hair that can't and won't sit no matter what ? Lots of greetings from the Netherlands

PS Mauney: Truth hurts… (I stopped counting how many of the 73 applied to me…. ) Thanks for telling it like it is!

: My hair has its own problems. When straight, it's frizzy. When wavy, it's flat. When curly, it's a mix of both. I want my curls to have volume

Razia: I love you so much for the facts and busting myths.

Diana: Hardest truth, my hair is probably just wavy and not curly

Cierra Clark: You don’t need straight hair to be beautiful. I wish I’d heard that in my teens and 20s when I used to straighten the f+ck out of it daily.

Naoma R: MASSIVE Thank you to those who commented to help! ❤️ Washed (twice) with a better chelating shampoo and what an improvement! I could cry; my curls are finally back. It’s been months. I have root volume again. It’s not 100%, but I have hope for my hair again. Still looking for a better shower filter but this improvement is such a relief. ‍ Even my scalp feels better. I had no idea that hard water could cause greasy hair! Thank you so much for the help. …. I’ve been searching for weeks for help with this. Even looked for like, “pay me to ask a question,” on various “hair guru’s” pages. Nothing. And no one seems to be talking about this specific problem: My well-water is making my hair greasy! It’s like using a heavy conditioner or mask and then not rinsing it out before styling. Nothing seems to be helping. My hair has gone from 2c-3a to an unruly type 1-2a in a matter of months. Even my almost 3b face-framing curls are nearly gone. And the only advice I’ve been able to find is, “stop washing your hair, just use dry shampoo.” Um? But my scalp!? I’m so lost. Even a rec for a shower filter that won’t clog up in three days (350-500 ppm dissolved solids in this water) would be helpful I think. Idk. Wits end here. Ready to give up and shave my head. Maybe buy a wig.

Alaina Peto: I wish I could make soooooo many ppl watch this whole thing! Haha. You're so great Mell!

Denise de Groot: Love love LOVE this video! ❤‍❤‍❤‍ I wouldn't be mad if you did a video specifically on when to apply that heat protectant within the curly hair routine. I feel like I've never seen that. I have a heat protecting cream (from Briogeo) and a spray..... does it come before or after the gel, or somewhere else? Does an additional cream on top of my waves weigh it down? Will it affect the efficiency of the gel?

AlizMari23: Just so you know, LUS now has a hair gel and a scalp serum. They've also had a hair oil and a hair perfume for a few years now as well. LUS has never said that you should only use just their leave-in and ignore other products, it's simply marketed as you CAN use one product IF YOU WANT, because some of us are either lazy or don't have enough time to always use more than one styling product. I use LUS and have for years, and I've sometimes used it alone, but I usually pair it with a gel (I used to use Mane Choice Crystal Orchid Gel) but now I use theirs because it has great hold with very little crunch and it doesn't make my hair feel like cardboard. I really think you should give it another chance, and maybe use some of their other products as well. I just don't recommend the detangling brush because the bristles are pretty short, and the t-shirt towel needs a fastening loop and button.

Ariel: Woah you said it ALL in ONE video!!! 1,000% awesome! Thank you so much for your content Mell & Amanda! You've helped me learn so much about my curls! And now I help fellow curlies too! I hope to never stop learning about curls from you!❤️➿️❤️

Gena Marie: PREACH along with mold in the hair.. you can ruin your scalp health by sleeping with wet hair in a cap or towel overnight, repeatedly

Greeny Wasabi: I've been taking Levothyroxine for a year now and it has made my hair lighten a few shads, grow in places that I didn't know was missing hair and changed how my hair reacts to bleaching.

Jessicaassaf3: Amazing vid, thanks for being so concise! I expected a half an hour video when I saw the title but it was nice and punchy. My two questions are: 1. How do we seal our cuticles if not with cold water/temp? 2. I thought my hair was naturally low porosity. I don't live in the mountains and I definitely wash & see the sun. How has my hair become this way, besides maybe genetics?

Triana Ky-Lee Steward: If you’re someone that sweats pretty much everyday, talking like drenched (I’m a dancer), what is the best way to take care of your curls? Should I wash more often or let the sweat air dry and dry shampoo? Afraid of over washing it but also don’t know what’s actually best

High Hopes Hizzy: I LOVE YOU! Grateful for all your amazing curl wisdom!

therickylover106: I'm a curly who has done a full head bleach on my auburn hair, so I can play with fantasy colours. I'd love it if you could do a video on tips & tricks to keep my hair in its best shape, even though I'm going to keep bleaching my roots cause I love having purple hair.

N: Mell!! Your makeup is lovely - so is your skin!!! Your lipstick rocks ❤Please give us some ideas as to your product preferences, if possible!

Deanna: Happy Texture Tuesday!! Love learning from you!! Much love and happiness!!! Xoxo

Sliver Lining _: This was cool. Knew some of them cause I’ve studied up on hair and followed ya for quite a while, but even then, a couple were new. That cold water does nothing thing was a big surprise. Can you do one for different ways to exfoliate the scalp? Also, is the olaplex 4 very different from the olaplex 4c?

Kool Koala 🐨: Your hair is freaking beautiful and incredibly curly! You've discovered the secrets.

Donna Layne: I loved you as a blonde but now I an loving the dark hair too!! You can do no wrong ❤❤❤

Emma Bunch-Benson: You’re so charismatic funny & informative! Thanks Mell

Rebella: "This list is not complete" but it's PERFECT. Thanks so much.

Amy B: Mell - love this and love you!! The cowashing one was the biggie for me. I should… shampoo?? Regularly?? Yeah, I drank the curly girl Kool-Aid some time ago. I’m trying to overcome it lol.

mozon: I struggled with hairloss in 2020/2021 and I’m currently on the journey to get my old thick long curly hair back!!! especially when u have 3c curls it takes kinda long to grow it any tips??

Linda Koberna: I agree with 99% and I love you dearly. I use K18, Olaplex, you name it. My hairdresser is amazing and it took a long time to get my hair highlights right because I get hight roots. She suggested a keratin treatment to help combat the frizz but do not want to lose my curls. My hair is med porosity and med texture and I do belive you can train your curls because I have done it with myself and I have done it with all three of my daughters. My hair is parts 2 b, 2c see and 3a, when training my cross and then diffusing, at all comes out to mostly 3a. I was glad to hear about the rinsing with cold water because there are so much controversy on it. I went to Cosmetology School 100 years ago and as far as I remember your cuticles do not open and close. Now I have to watch this video over to see what I missed. But I do adore you and your sister and you have both taught me more than I could have ever dreamed. I also think I used too much product on my hair because, well just because. My husband has stage four pancreatic cancer so I don't have much time to fiddle around and try different things as much as I would like to. I do try not to add anything in the top of my hair but then it gets frizzy and flat. I am just to train wreck. Or at least my hair is

Lunaas: This couldn’t have come at a better time

Linsey Breanna: Hi Mell! Just found your channel and have been binge watching your videos. I saw that you did a review on some Not Your Mother's Curl Talk Styling products awhile back. I saw today that they came out with a Bond Building Shampoo and Conditioner and was wondering if you could do a review on them as I haven't seen any yet.

Caitlin Endler: Mell I just love the combination of your hair color with your complexion and your sweater—it’s a very pretty color combination

🌻Sunshine🌻: I love your channel, my hair is type 4a/b and I've learned a lot, your personality is lovely and you're very funny

Michelle: WHOA... baby hairs don't grow out? I did know a lot of these, but I did not know that one. I've even had hairdressers comment saying something like "oh you have all these baby hairs, you're getting more hair growth" so I believed that. Wow!

Joelle Hall: Great video! I always wondered about all that sealing the cuticle business.. I had a question about sweating and hair loss from DHT. I work out every day and when I do, I sweat so much that the scalp and underside is completely wet and it drips sweat. I do a big wash day with shampoo, etc one day a week and then every other day with a co-wash or completely getting it wet so that I'm not going too many days in a row with sweat sitting on my scalp and hair. Do you think that's enough or should I do an actual wash a few days a week?

Heather Haworth: I do an issue - As everyone has different hair textures and patterns Layering CAN be 1,2,3,4,5, depending on what your likes, needs & what a person likes & wants. Just like MY hair - straight in the 70s & 80s, 90s wavy, fastforward 2022 Curly most of head & wavy is 3 small sections. My hair does best w/ the SAME Layered hair cut that I developed in the 80s (yes my mom was a hairstylist & cut her own hair including the Farah Fawcett etc)

Wanda Jackson: Honestly, this is my favorite video you have done. I loved it.

Suzy D: So true about the bleaching every time I get my hair highlighted it doesn’t curl the same. No more bleach for me!

That Wookie Gamer: hey Mell, can you try the garnier banana hair food, shampoo and conditioner (all seperate containers). they are the main products i use on my 3b hair and i also use a strong hold gel but i always get frizz and my curls are not as defined as i want them to be any suggestions? thanks

Shortylp2000: The one about baby hairs not growing into adult hairs just about killed me...
