S-Wave Holiday Hairstyle Tutorial

Hi guys welcome back to my channel in today's video i'm bringing you this fun holiday hairstyle, so whether you're creating this for a fun saturday evening holiday party or you're heading over straight from the office. I'M going to show you this quick and easy tutorial on how you can get this super fun s wave pattern as opposed to the more traditional beach wave and i'm going to be creating this look with the dyson supersonic, hair dryer and the coral straightener. This video is in partnership with dyson, and this is definitely one of the companies that i would absolutely clear my schedule to work with, because, as a salon, professional and an avid a blow, dryer myself good quality, hair styling tools are an absolute. Must. I'Ve been using dyson for a couple of years now and after trying dyson, i would absolutely not use anything else on both myself and my clients. So we know how innovative and absolutely incredible dyson tools are. We are familiar with their easy, snap-on attachments and so now part of their five incredible attachments. They have added these two new super genius attachments. So this is a gentle air attachment and the incredibly genius fly away attachment. When i saw this, i was so intrigued. I saw other people use it and that it looked tricky. I thought i wasn't sure where the airflow was coming out of, but basically this is the most foolproof tool of all. I think a concentrator makes the job just so much easier, but this flyaway attachment - you literally just apply this to the hair. You want to smooth and glide down and the direction of the airflow directs the hair in the direction it needs to go. So you don't have to fidget, or you know, try to angle it correctly and then because it's got this perfectly circular surface it just glides down the hair shaft, just leaving you incredibly sleek shiny results. So as a stylist, i love the faster drying. Time saves me time both styling my hair, but also when working with clients - and we all know time is money. So if you can save time on a blowout which normally is the longer more tedious part of the whole salon, appointment, you're, possibly able to see more clients or focus more time on other techniques such as the color and all of that super lightweight comfortable. It just makes the whole blow drying experience such a breeze, no pun intended and, of course it also has superior heat protection against a damage all right and now, let's just get into the tutorial all right. So for this look i want to have an s patterned wave that looks effortless yet still put together and in order for this look to look put together, a good base style is essential, so i always like to have some volume at the roots yet still having The roots look really sleek and smooth as we move into the soft s wave pattern. So for that i'm going to be using the new gentle air attachment. I absolutely love this edition, so i like to just over direct the hair and apply air flow that way to give a very natural sense of volume through the hair, all right, and if you have a lot of fresh like me, even though we've got some volume At the roots, now it's time to go in with the flyaway attachment my absolute favorite addition to the dyson family and it's basically, you can't use it wrong. The tool is created for even i as a hairdresser, when i do my own hair, sometimes trying to angle in the right direction, to keep flyaways away and to really tame down the hair, without flattening all of that volume that you just created. That'S basically what this tool does and the rounded shape just makes it incredibly comfortable, and once you just gently apply it to the hair, it's just absolutely foolproof. This honestly is a tool i wish i had when i was 16 trying to figure out how to blow dry my super frizzy hair and had absolutely no clue what i was doing. The beauty of a good quality working tool is that you can achieve the look. You want in far less time, which is great because it saves you time, but also it is great on the hair, if you don't have to continuously add a ton of heat to get the desired result you're after all right, so we've got our volume and our Smoothness down now to create our s wave pattern. We are going to be using the dyson corral, straightener, absolutely love that it is cord free, especially with the straightener, where you want to angle and kind of maneuver around the head to create the look that you want. It is incredibly nice to be cord free for that. It also has intelligent heat control and an intelligent thermal system which ensures accurate heat through the plates, allowing you to straighten your hair with far less heat than you used to, without compromising the style you're after one of the genius things about the coral straightener as well. Is that the plates are actually flexible? What that means is that it holds the hair correctly to provide you more control and, of course, less heat, less heat applied to the hair resulting in less damage all right. So there are two ways to create that kind of s wave pattern. There is the one where you create the s wave by pulling out then slowly, beveling in and then out again where you create that s pattern kind of this way. But if you want that, where it looks kind of flat, but you see the s wave as if it were like two dimensional, that's what i'm going to be showing you today and i think that it's a mixture of those two techniques that gives you a very Effortless style and almost like uh. How did you get that all right so then for the next s wave pattern, i'm going to grab a smaller section and bring the hair out this way, creating almost a c shape and then, as you lower, the plates start angling back in the opposite direction and Basically, just feeding the hair through, so i'm going to grab that next section just below the goal is basically just to kind of feed the hair in that pattern and slowly clamp down on the tulle and then just repeating that same process throughout all right guys. Here is the final result, a little twist on the classic beach wave. I think it instantly looks more fun gets you party ready, and you could easily clip a few pieces back. You can use a few bobby pins to secure just one side of the hair down. You can play around with the part so yeah a pretty versatile super easy to create holiday, hairstyle and if i wasn't eight months pregnant, i probably would pair this with some jeans and a fun festive top.
