#143. How To Cornrow 4 Beginners Only

THANK YOU FOR WATCHING ....

MY BACK WAS HURTING , I RUSHED AT THE END. PLEASE MENTION WHICH VIDEO U WAN TO SEE ME DOING IN DETAILS LIKE THAT. I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO DO EVERYTHING , BUT I LL TRY WHAT I KNOW .

In this video I'll show you or I'll try to show you how to do cornrow step-by-step before we start with her two edges, we're gon na start in the back. First, give me some okay, let's start in the back, I'm going to show you step-by-step, how you can do it. I'M gon na use a big piece just to make it simple for you, mom elastic, lumber. Okay, now let me show you how to start the convo. If you're very new at it, I would advise you to get a comp, so you can part the first braid and first of all, in order to for you to do a good control, you have to know how to do a box, braid or regular plots. So I'm going to show you that here you'll need three pieces, one to the left, one in the middle and one to the right. This is how you do a regular box. Braid, you need three pieces. We'Ve heard one her own hair with no weave. This is the right strength, that's the left one and that's the one in the middle. Obviously, and you go that way to do a regular box. Braid we're gon na do almost the same thing. When we are doing the cornrow, the only difference is any strand. We have you now have to attach it to what we have at the bottom and we'll keep doing it until there's no hair. This is how you would do a regular box. Braid we're all natural hair I'll show you again how to do the regular box. Braid closer to her scalp, this is important, one strand to the left, one strand to the right now closer to her scalp. You go this way and you do this, we're doing it closer to her skull. Okay, that's still a regular box braid, the Conroe. The only difference is we're gon na have it keep going down till we reach the bottom. So, let's start the corner now that we have the Botsford part out of the way I'll show you why it is important to know how to do a regular box braid before you know how to do. Cornrow. Okay, we're still gon na use the same. The same box braid we had at the beginning, but this time we're gon na make sure that how fingers stay close to her scalp. Now, let's go one two we're doing the regular box braid so far, one and two now to do the control you're going to start adding hair here you are here and you keep conroy and you add hair on this side. As you go down, you add hair here again and you go down. Don'T forget to add a little bit of pressure you out here here again, then you go down. We try to get the camera closer. It don't have that much okay, you go here and you out of here you like those two fingers open, so you can out of here - and you make sure you detangle over here and you out of here here again you out of here as you cook, as You keep going down. This is how you do a regular car roll out here here I mean you're out of here there, as you keep doing, Conroy get neater and neater since I'm showing how to do it here. It'S not that neat and once you get used to it, you won't be adding hair like that. You'Re automatically gon na out of here when you're doing out of here and add more hair here, add more hair there and you keep going down till you are done. If you're a beginner and your corner looks like that, you did a great job as you keep doing, it, you'll get better at it, and this is what you have I'm gon na start over. Okay, I promise you, if you keep practicing that way. Sooner or later, your conv will end up looking that way, I'm doing it step by step. That'S why I make sure I show you how it looks like here, but I'm gon na start over and see if another technique would help it's gon na be almost the same technique, but we'll try again and see if you'll get it and I'll just change the Camera angle, to see if we can get a better angle, okay, I come down her hair off-camera and I change the angle, see if you can see it better. I'M gon na start over we're gon na start. Looking for the the first three legs well, do next, is I another room, so you can see where I add the hair and add another room in another room. You won't need to do none of that once you get a hold of how to do the controls, but I'm showing that to you now. Okay, like I said already, you have to know how to do a regular braid with no weave one leg to the left. One to the right and one in the middle, and you go that way to do the regular flat you do this. This is how irregular plots would look. You should be able to do this before you even think about doing it control once we get a hold of that now. We cannot start doing the coral and remember we have those rule here I'll try my best to show you when I grip the hair and once again you have to keep practicing to make it that perfect. Let'S do the first um, the first braid you go. This way don't touch there at the bottom, yet you go that way and make sure your hands isn't that direction this direction, because you're going down anyway, you do the other one. Once you see that braid form, that's when you start adding here, you see the first rule I have here. You take a few amount of hair in there, take a few here and you're going away and you go to the right side. Take a few here here. You only have hair left in the middle now and you go this way. What you have left is hair in the middle. You just take it and put it right here now you do the braid we're gon na start over again. The third row we had you take hair here from the third row, take care of here and you braid again take hair from the right side, take hair from the right side, and I hear you bring again take what's left in the middle. Where is it why I took too much from the right side? I'Ll just show it on the other one and you keep braiding. Okay, let's go again, that's the full strength! You take some hair here. You braid take some more hair to the right. We have some left in the middle you've raid take what's left in the middle right here and you keep reading. Okay, as you can see, that's how the con will come out again in order for you to do this, you have to keep practicing and you'll. Naturally, pick the hair proportional to all of those of the rows. The hair you'll pick right here will be the same amount here till you reach at the bottom, and you see how proportional this one is we'll add here again and your braid ID here to the right and your braid take some in the middle and your bread Again, there's some in the right, your braids take a few to the left. Great, that's how you do a combo and that's how you naturally do it once you get it all of it, see I'm not I'm automatically taking here without even paying attention to the end. That'S exactly when it come out neat as you keep practicing. That'S how it's gon na come out neat, but so far, if you know nothing about Connell, I would suggest you to practice that way and if you're doing crochet with any pre twist hair. As long as your cornrows are not too too loose, you can crush your hair over this and nobody will know how messy your home was. Actually look. Okay, we're gon na try for the third time and see how it goes. Remember I told you: don't worry about that part. Keep practicing that way! That'S how you get a hold on how to add here and went to out here once you get a hold of it. You'Ll know how much hair to add. Ok, we are practicing one last time, but these will come out perfect. Well at least they're gon na come out like this one and what you do is you won't need the comb that mean you get a hold of how to do it. Just like. I showed you like basic way with the comb we're gon na use smaller pieces. You got this way smaller pieces and you go that way as you keep practicing you'll notice when to use a bigger amount of hair and when to use less here, I'm using a tiny bit of hair just to make it as neat as possible and I'm doing The same thing that I showed you previously I'll just keep adding here, but I'm adding a little bit of it instead and remember to detangle the person's hair. As you keep doing the cornrow, then we have it. Like I told you already, you need to practice practice practice and practice as you keep doing it. Your hands will feel like how much hair to add. As you keep going down remember if you're new to doing Conwell's, you use the comp, like, I told you and practice then you'll get it

Now, visitors are allowed, but not for long enough to be able to do her hair. We have no other staff that know how, either. I have watched your video a couple of times, and I am going in (on my day off) tomorrow to braid her hair for her. Your video was very helpful. Seems kind of like a French braid (but you take the hair from under...instead of over) and doing it in a smaller area. I just hope I can make her hair look nice for her. :)

Shayla: Trying to learn to do this for my boyfriend over quarantine. He can’t get his hair done bc of all the barbershops being closed so we are learning together. Thank you so much for this video!

Kay T.: Thank you so much for this video! For the first time since I've been natural, I have finally been able to make a braid that is not frizzy! I knew the basics of braiding...but they would always come out looking as if they were at least a week old right after I finished. I realized that: 1. I was using the wrong products and 2. my hand placement and overall technique was incorrect and I was kind of haphazard with the way that I grabbed hair going down the cornrow. This video is a Godsend!

Jonathan Hardeman: Big thanks from a dad with a 9yr old daughter who is tired of box braids and 2 strand twist. I will miss the knocker balls and bows days cause she is growing up. Wish me luck.

GEMMA Didit: Such healthy hair! My mouth was open with wonder the whole time I watched. Thank-you for such a patient and detailed tutorial. I'm relearning how to do this on my own hair...

Zoelle: I’m 19 and when I came home from college my mom spent 15 mins showing me how to do it on my sister’s head. I got it almost instantly the only difference is (and I find this to be easier) she only adds hair when coming from the left. And this made me learn it a lot easier than trying to concentrate on adding it from both sides. As I practice more I’ll probably try both sides but the braid looks the exact same and not strand is overly larger than the rest
