Welcome to tips for Clips today in just four minutes: I'm gon na give you all the tips you need to give the perfect feed we're gon na start here with the number 1 written right on the stick and attach it right to the machine. The technique that I'm using here is up and out is it a very important tip, we're gon na be using this technique for all our fading you're gon na start low and close to the skin, and then, as you go up, you're gon na go further away. You don't necessarily have to use clip number one here. You can use number two or number three depends on how long you want it, but if you do switch to a number two for example, then all the other clips that I'm going to be explaining throughout this vide you're gon na want to. Obviously, this increase by one so we're gon na do this all throughout. This is a very easy step. You want to make sure you just have a straight line all throughout, but it's a very important step. This part is gon na set the pace for the rest of the haircut, so you want to go over and over the same spots to make sure it's completely clean and that you don't leave behind any patches of hair. So just make sure you take your time here. Next we're gon na be using v number three, so we just skip to four now clip number three is gon na help us fade into the longest hair. On top, you cannotice here that I'm going about two inches high using the number three as I go higher, I'm gon na be pressing, much lighter, because I could, or should be using a number four as I go higher. But if I'm able to catch the light enough with the three then I won't have to change to the moon. It'S something that'll come with experience, but if you're a beginner you might want to use a number four first higher and then you can use a number three just slide on it once again, you're just gon na go all around as a reminder. The point here is to make sure you're fading into the longest hair on top, because we're not gon na be cutting them here on top any shorter, so you're gon na want to make sure it's nice and smooth. Also you're gon na want to make sure that you have a brush or a comb on hand and that you're constantly brushing in the exact way that the person is gon na want to brush their hair afterwards. This really helps you gauge how far along you've come with a haircut here. We'Re gon na use a number two to fade between the 1 and the 3 notice. The technique that I've shown you guys first one then three, then two a little counterintuitive. What you're gon na see here, it's really easy to fade between the 1 and the 3, using the two. This step isn't gon na give us the perfect fake yet because there is one more important step, but you can already see the fade forming really nice. As I finished this step up, let me remind you guys that if you didn't want to give a haircut, that's so short on the side, you can always use different numbers instead of using one two and three like I used here, you can use two three and Four, you want it a little longer. Do you want even longer than that and use three four and five, and of course, if you want it shorter than all this, you can start with this zero, which is the blade itself without equipment match which I'll be showing. You in just a moment notice the lever on the side of the machine that's longer than shorter, that's longer than shorter, I'm going to put out in the long setting the long number one now. So I consider that, like a one-and-a-half in order to blend between the one and the two here, I'm going up only about half an inch, so I'm gon na keep going with this so-called one and a half to make sure that they fade all around is licensed. The final step, then, is to take off all the clips. You can see I'm using the blade here. The lever is set on the long position, so it's like using a half and I'm just gon na - go all along the bottom here. To give it a really nice polished, look and there you have it. Ladies and gents, all the tips you'll need to give a great beat I'll show you guys how to give a nice shape up next video, but until then be sure to subscribe like and share these videos, and I will see you then

Adri C: If you’re a girlfriend here to do your first corona cut for your boyfriend say I ‍♀️

deldridg: 40 minutes later and my son is no longer talking to me.

Austin Henderson: I'm here to save my son from my wife.

Donn Felker - Freelancing for Software Developers: Huge thank you for this video. I just gave my 9 year old a fade based off this tutorial alone and it came out great. I followed your advice to the T and went slow and steady and the result was far beyond my expectations. Great video. Thank you!

Dagny Williams: I’ve done many simple cuts just using a #1 but this was my 1st fade ever! My man cannot believe I did it, he loves it! Thank you for a great easy to follow tutorial!! ***** 5/5 stars!

Simply Marilyn: This is awesome and by far the easiest "how to fade" I've come across! I did my husband's fade using this video (during pandemic)...and it came out great!! I will do it again, today. He is so impressed with the results. Thanks again!!

Jessica Mendes: This was a great tutorial! I just cut my husband's hair doing this method (the 1, 3 & then 2 for the fade) and it worked wonders. The only problem was the 2 for the fade wasn't short enough so I had to use the 1 but be very careful and it came out great! He's really picky and he actually really liked it. Thanks for sharing this tutorial. I posted a before and after on my instagram and just sent you the video on instagram lol

Tammy Stiletto: Really concise, great tutorial. Thank you

David Chudak: Great video - I have used this before cutting my hair in the mirror a few times, and this technique works perfectly every time - thank you for making this!

NIKI MAYS: Please never take this video down! I use this video every time I cut my son’s hair. He hates the barbershop so I’ve had to cut it the last year and a half.

Dermot Campbell: Finally a simple video that explains fading so easy. I'm a trainee barber and I am confident with every cut under the sun apart from fades. Thanks so much.

Maisy Perez: TIP FOR EVERYONE IN THE COMMENTS: Never follow the round of the head with the clippers because you're gonna end up making their head look extra round. In the middle of the back of the head you see how his bone is popping out and then above that it curves inward / , the clippers shouldn't touch the scalp directly. From bottom to top the clippers should go like this \( like once it reaches the middle and the rounding of the head dont worry if you feel like youre not cutting anything. Clippers must go in a straight line thats why it shouldnt be touching the top half. Once youre reaching the end with the clipper make sure you flick your wrist toward you, to taper it off. Imagine an airplane. When it takes off it goes in a straight line then scoops upward slowly as it goes up in the sky. Thats how the clipper movement should look like too. The reason being that at the top of the half of the head men have that little swirly. If you follow the round of the head you'll end up cutting the hairs around the swirl too short which will cause them to be sticking out. By going in a straight line with the flat part of the clippers you will avoid cutting any length up there that will otherwise fuck up the haircut. If you have someone with a flat head then you want to be careful because they wont have the bone sticking out to guide your clippers off the head when it's time. In situations like that, be extra cautious to try to make their head LOOK round with the haircut. So cut the hair in a way that it will mimick a round head. I would say do the same technique just make sure when you reach the middle of the back of the head you go in a straight lime same thing \( it will look like this \| (the right is the flat head) you see how it will leave more hair behind leaving you more room to tweak the haircut to make their head look round. Also, START BIG DONT QUICKLY TAKE A 1 GUARD AND CHOP HAIR. Start with a 3 or 4. Leave yourself room to fix the haircut. If u go with a 1 right away u cant really fix it because theyre almost practically bald (I'm a cosmetologist) If anyone has any questions lmk I gotchu

Michaela: Great video! Made me feel confident and I rocked my first fade!

TL: I've watched a bunch of haircutting videos on YT and appreciate your videos being straight-forward! Super easy to follow along. I'll watch them again as a refresher and can say that I've successfully cut my bf's hair! On the 5th time now and it gets easier/better. For everyone who is trying for the first time, go in with CONFIDENCE! If you are unsure, then for sure the haircut will be s*****. If you're having a bad day/bad mood, don't cut your own/bf's/dad/brothers/friend's hair. Secondly, TAKE YOUR TIME. If you need to, just cut off a little bit and take a step back to see how it's looking before cutting more. As you practice further along, it gets more intuitive. Good luck!

Nat had: Thanks so much for this! My first ever cut (courtesy of corona) was pretty damn good thanks to this! Even the husband was impressed... think I may have just earned myself a life time job though ‍♀️

Lono Aurora: Thank you! Straight to the point and no bsing around just the way I like it! Totally helped me with our first Corona hair cuts

Late To The Party: That was really very satisfying to watch. The way you explained the blend of 1 and 3 by using a 2 is the missing piece I needed. Can’t wait to give this one a try. I’m merely watching this to clip my own hair. Getting your haircut done in a shop is just too expensive these days.

Mario Alexandro: Extremely helpful, relaxing to listen to, easy to follow, just overall a great tutorial. Thanks!

TJ Wash: great video! • you didn’t fill it with excessive chatter • you had audio instructions rather than having to read along. Your instructions were simple and clear and your clippers were sharp and good quality, you just glided through with your #1 guard

Peter Ding: Thank you for this video. This is really helpful and the instructions are very clear and easy to follow. I cut my own hair and referenced the techniques herein and am very satisfied with the results.

savagemrtn: Just a note you might find helpful, my wife and I noticed using a the 1 1/2 clip (if you have it) worked a lot better in blending between the 1 and 2. Instead of using the 1 on the longest setting as suggested in this video.

Lisa-marie D: Thank you so much for this tutorial, I just cut my partner’s hair first time using your methods an nail it. I have never cut hair before an you explained how to do it so well. So thanks again

Alissa Kate: THANK YOU! I had to cut my man's hair because of the pandemic and watched a TON of videos on how to do a decent fade. This was THE MOST straightforward and easy to understand set of directions of all. All I did was follow your instructions and the tips helped out more than you know (like knowing that I'd need to go over the same area a few times). Thank you so much for posting this!!!!

Chelsea Guerrero: This video was so helpful and straightforward! Thankful for you!

Steve Smith: I'm not gonna lie, this was the FIRST, and ONLY tutorial video my wife and I ever stumbled upon as a result of this virus. I am on my third cut in 2 months, now. She has KILLED it. EVERY. TIME. Props to you guys for making this super straight forward "how-to". Y'all about to save me $1,000/year from here on out! Lol

C M: Thank you for this video! It made way more sense to me than the others I checked. After watching this I was able to successfully give my husband a fade… I actually did a good enough job that later on when I saw him I was thinking “dang he looks good…. Ohh yeahhh the haircut”

Samuel de Bellefeuille: You have the perfect technique while remaining simple for the beginner. I really appreciate the way you teach like a beginner would understand very well. Kudos

Cocina Fina: I am so happy I found this channel with this video. You explained the process very easy. I was able to cut my husband’s hair. Thank you so much

Kassie Jahr: Very straight-forward and helpful! Gave my hubby a Covid haircut for the first time and it came out decent!

Blue Prince: Society can't thank you enough for sharing your skill set. Much appreciated man, great tutorial.

Andrew: Amazing video, thanks so much. Do you have any tips for practicing the “up & out” technique? I’ve started cutting almost all my families hair thanks to the covid/closures situation and I’ve learned that I REALLY enjoy doing it, but I don’t have enough heads to practice on frequently enough, lol. Any advice would be greatly appreciated & again, thanks so much for this video. (I’ve been doing the more intuitive 1, 2, 3, etc. setup and was wondering why I was having so much trouble getting the longer hair on top to blend more seamlessly into the fade, def gonna try your 1-4/3-2-1.5 technique next round )

Neil Mcgivern: Just tried this method on my 7 year olds hair. It’s my 2nd time in cutting and the fade is 1000 times better. Thanks

Get Into Your Life: Love this vid, so straight forward, easy to understand and you are a good haircutter!

Mohammed Islubee: I just followed your instructions and it saved me 30 bucks! I’m happy with the results! Thanks dude!

Tricia Ruvalcaba: This is just what I was looking for! Simple instructions! My boyfriend likes his hair bald but he let it grow out so I could practice so if I mess up no biggie cause he wants to go bald in the end anyway. I’m super excited he’s letting me practice on his hair! Awesome video!

We were about to leave for Europe and I was going to just give him and his dad an all over 4, so it’d be easy to care for while we backpacked. Dad’s came out great, son’s... well, the guard popped off and I shaved a big strip bald. So it had to match, and I balded my poor kid. I wish I could post a picture to show you, he’s NOT bald this time!!!

Tyler Pinkerton: Exactly what I was looking for. U explain everything perfectly.

Its been almost 2 months since his last cut & he asked if I could quarantine cut his hair. I WAS SO NERVOUS. But this video helped SO MUCH. It came out so good! He loves it & I was floored to see that I pulled it off lol. Thought this was a 1 time deal but he has me down for a 2 week touch up
