“As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he” -Proverbs 23:7

Hey guys straight here today, I'll be showing you a kind of multifunctional self haircut that can be easily and quickly done straight from home. With this hairstyle you can create various looks out of it, which is why I really did it so right away. I'M gon na go ahead and kick it off with my hair: wet towel, dry it and then comb it back and, as you can see, I got this extra fluff going on that. I need to trim up and reef aid, but before I do that, just on a personal note, I'm gon na go ahead and take a little bit of pomade and slick the top back just so the hair doesn't get in the way. As I trim up the sides now, I'm going to purposefully use the size 3 guard to fade with, simply because I'm pretty terrible barber on me and I don't really have much experience, cutting hair and so with a size 3 guard. Even if you mess up a little bit - or you know, your fade - isn't perfectly just fluent honestly. You'Re not gon na really see those mistakes opposed to using a size, 1 or 2 guard. That'S gon na be a lot more intricate and any little mess-up that you do. You'Re gon na surely see it beginning the fade I like to start off by going right around the entire ear, while keeping my trimmers slightly at an angle, to begin to fade nicely. As you see here once I do that, I start gently fading up until I achieve my desired length around the crown. Next, I'm gon na go ahead and do the same thing for the back of my head, and for this you will definitely need some sort of handheld mirror to really help you out and, as you can see, I will be taken off about an inch on the Crown'S to reduce that thickness and give my fade and overall smoother transition, and once I'm done with that I'll go ahead and mimic the same process on the other side once I'm all dialed in I'll then use my lawnmower by manscaped, which is a smaller trimmer. That is more useful for around the ear and neck trimming and just a quick tip that I unfortunately had to learn the hard way. Never just wash all your hair down the sink, it'll clog it you'll have major problems instead gather as much as you can throw it away, then wash down the remaining hair. Now, after cleaning up and taking a shower, I decided to film two different hairstyles that anyone can do with this specific cut. While my hair was damp, I went for ocean sea salt spray. What this product does is not only keep your hair protected from the heat of the blow-dryer, but it also gives it nice volume and thickness once that was all saturated evenly. I decided to blow-dry my hair, all back and now, with this specific look, I wanted to go for a more slicked back, I'm usually not a pomade type of dude, but the pomade by Dauntless has to be my favorite pomade that I actually do use. It has a great hold and it lasts all day, something that I find hard to achieve and a lot of hall maids I've used in the past. Also, I do want to mention another great thing about this haircut is that it doesn't have to be this perfect professionally barbered fade, even if you mess up a little bit on the fade, and it's not super smooth once you apply that product in your hair. Any flaw that you might see will then be smoothed out and it'll vanish from the product being applied, and that is the end result now for my next look, I wanted to do something a little bit more popular and that's kind of a messy side. Part quiff cornerstone actually has been a favorable product of mine lately, as it gives my hair silky smooth volume and a really nice lift, along with ocean sea salt spray. To give my hair even more volume, you know, along with that ocean, a texture and heat protection, of course, for the blow drying process, I decided to blow dry all my hair forward to the left side, all while pushing the front upwards for that bouncy quiz. Also, I know I don't mention it often, but I always blow-dry my hair upside down as well. This is what creates that nice lift from the root and, as always, kind of my little trademark, I like to create a slight wave in the front, locking it in with that heat of the blow-dryer and, as you can see those two products, it definitely gave me Some crazy volume and, to finish off this look I apply to ocean clay. This is my everyday go-to product and yes, I am biased to it, because it is my own product but wholeheartedly, I can honestly say it - is the best clay I've ever used by the way for any of you that want 10 % off of ocean clay or Any shifu products I'll put a promo code in the description for you, and that is it. That is the end result for the second and final hairstyle. Again, I'm not saying this is the most perfect cut of all time and that, if you follow my method, you will receive the best cut of your life. This is just for all you regular dudes out there like me that don't have much experience, but still want to look good during these crazy times that we're currently in so my main goal with this video was, you know if someone like me, just a regular dude, Can you know make their hair look somewhat decent straight from home today? So can you and with that said, that is it that's all I have for you today. If you dug today's video, please be sure to give it a nice big thumbs up subscribe. If you are new and be sure to hit that notifications button to be informed when I drop new content and I'll see you very soon, my name is Joe Jack, slurring Shaka brah

JON Gergeceff: Awesome job! The best I’ve seen . I’m 64 years old and a world traveler . I have cut my hair twice since COVID but after watching you I can feel comfortable getting out the old electric trimmer . Thank you young man.

His Beloved Son: Thank you so much for your professional video! Straight to the point, very clear and informative. You're a real blessing to your community Dre

Andres Herrera: Glad to know I'm not the only one! I do the same process, except I do venture into the number 1 and 2 right at the edges around the ears and neck, it looks great that way. It's certainly doesn't replace the pro's but you no longer have to depend on them for a decent look. Great job by the way

Bored to Dadth: Loved the video, I actually buzzed my hair two weeks ago so I can’t really achieve those hairstyles right now but I’ll definitely use them as inspiration for when my hair grows out.

Dennis James: Great, great, great self haircut video. I've been trimming my own for the last several months and this has given me a much better idea on how to achieve that classic look I'm going for. Thanks for posting!

DL Thomas: That is actually a doable home cut with good instructions. Good job, Dre!

Ken Woo: I've watched a lot of DIY Haircuts, but yours is perfect for my hair. My hair is like yours long and straight. No wave, curls, close cropped or wiry, so a lot of videos weren't applicable. Yours was perfect. I especially like your tip of cutting around the ears. Thanks. I like the ocean spray. Might give it a shot.

Tyler Gowan: Nice video Dre keep it up! Buzzed my hair 2 months ago and just got a Ivy League cut today inspired by you... looks good! Also I think you could for sure pull off the middle part 2:22 it looks dope

Mohammad Zaidi: I'm still letting my hair grow out from a buzzcut (since the same time you buzzed your hair) but I still had to watch and like the video just to support. Appreciate the dope videos!

Amir Imran: This video is very helpful. Thank you brother!

Danibles 1: 'if you mess up on the fade and its not super smooth, once you apply that product in your hair any flaw that you might see will then be smoothed out and might vanish from the product being applied' awesome salesmanship

Jaden Engelhardt: If been cutting hair for like 2 years, I have a mirror that folds out on both sides so I can see my whole head, it’s good practice

Giovanni Futcher: I love your content bro your such a big inspiration you're my role model and i learn so much from you wish i could get some of your hair products but keep up the good work man

linh nguyen: I think you have to position the blade along the border of the skin and the hairline to make a perfect cut.

Yimleej Vihokratana: Such a brave man. I'm too chicken to cut my hair. I'm a hot mess right now . Your method is and looks good!!

Wania Ahmed: Your hair came out really good after the haircut ❤

Ronan Fitzgerald: i just buzzed my head the other day and i’m growing it out. how did you grow yours so quick?

Erk Fizban: The key here is you have nearly a perfect hair. No matter how you mess, it will still look nice. :)

Anupam singh: just gel down your hair before trimming so it'll harden up and stay in position

RB151: Spray a little sea salt spy when your hair is wet then use pomade when it’s dry and it will hold up the style better

windsorpatb: FYI...Never wash hair down the drain. You WILL have problems eventually. I use a tall kitchen bag over the vanity. Once finished, simply bring corners together and throw in trash. Even small remains - I wipe them up with a wet paper towel.

ammar hariz: i got my haircut a few days ago. i asked my dad to cut my hair cuz we cant go to the barber. it was pretty good

Calvin Limuel: I've been doing just that with my disconnected undercut for 4 years with 0 to 2-3 guard, and I put a used plastic bag, cut and laid out on my washbasin to catch my hair. I kinda want to grow it out though

Aaron II McCullough: Hey, loved the video. You got me to subscribe when I saw the last thing in your description. I will be following your videos closely now. Thnx man

sanjeev: Love ur content bro. U r always trendy

khai Ngyn: Hope quarantine going well for you man

Bikash Th: I've been cutting my own hair for two years now with scissors. I don't know how to use the clippers and the comb so i just use my hands for the guidelines and scissors for the entire head. I can pretty much cut any style except for skin fades lol. One tip i want to give you'll is to cover the sink with a newspaper so that you can just collect the hair and throw it all away.

Zahemi AZUL ISLAMI: Tq so much, now I realised I did it wrong and didnt achieve the style i wanted.. been really helpful during the lockdown...

Syro: I really like that haircut, once I'm done with having long hair I'm trying this

ROAD GENT: Great job! I tried my own cut and ended up looking like Henry the Fifth. Should have checked this video first!

ATrueRock: How’d you know what to do on the top to shape it with the sides and crown/back?

Burak Büyükkaya: Hey I like your this style and guide videos. My question is rather than having this down sided hair on my head’s sides my hair grows upright no matter which side it is. I couldn’t find any guide for this type of hair. Can you give me at least some general info? Or suggest me sth to help?

Akramuzaman Fahid: This cut really suits you. A little trim on top and if neck area was much rock it can be a dope cut bro

Nabranes TwistyPuzzler: Cool. It actually still looks good and in fact more natural because it’s not so heavily faded.

Kiers: Here's how i cut my own hair by taking 1mm off and coming out with the same haircut.

Franco Pelaez: Hey dre drexler what exercise do you recommend me to do for a skinny guy like me. I do exercise but when I do them I don’t see a change in my body I see no difference. Also I need another help when I eat I don’t seem to gain. Do you have any recommendations like what should I eat.

Steve-in-Cornwall: I envy your awesome hair

Zack Zitto: You should collab with Zach Longo, he does cooking videos and you do fashion videos. I feel like you two would make some really cool videos together!

marciefree: Right on dude. Great job.

Designsbydre: This is going to go poorly for a lot of people who aren’t coordinated people are going to screw up their hair hahaha but its quarantine so it’s all good

Sean Meany: Awesome job. I don’t have the courage to cut my own hair.

Ahmad Tamim Yosufi: dope hairstyle men I think by the end of the year we should go for a middle part. It is cool and trending now

Matt Valencia: Not gonna lie Dre my hair is almlst like your straight my hair doesnt exactly listen to me it has its mind of its own and when i grow the sides out it grows outwards not down if you know what i mean

Jah Mckay: Thinking ahead guys I would also make sure you practice reaching the back in the mirror. Or you'll get to the back halfway through and discover you can't co-ordinate with the reversed view

Ranjeet Singh Thapa: Bro what about the floor. What did u use to collect the hairs on the floor?

JAYANTA MANDAL: How to cut the top hair? My hair are very thin. And I use to part my hair 60/40 ratio. How can I cut my own hair? Please give me suggestion.
