Are the barber shops closed and you need a haircut? Well, in this video, I’m showing you how to trim your hair from home with the Philips Norelco Multigroom 7000 All-in-one trimmer, Model MG7750/49.

Now as most of us are living in quarantine in our homes, we may have come to find out that our hair is growing a bit long, as the days pass and the barber shops are closed. So, that leaves us with little option, other than to have someone in our family cut our hair or cut our hair ourselves.

Now a DIY home haircut or cutting our own hair anywhere is definitely intimidating. It’s intimidating to myself. I know some barbers out there that won’t even cut their own hair. But the good news is that while we are all in self isolation, we really don’t have to see anybody. So we can practice cutting our hair from home and if we mess up, no big deal.

As you may find that many dedicated hair clippers are sold out or unavailable, I think the best option in this case is to reach for the Philips Norelco Multigroom 7000. It is an all-in-one hair trimmer, beard trimmer and body groomer that I have been recommending for a while now and many of you have available already in your homes.

The Philips Norelco Multigroom 7000 is the perfect all-in-one device. It’s great for cutting your hair at home, it has the precision the give you a crisp beard trim and has the flexibility to take care of your body grooming needs.

Compared to dedicated hair trimmers, such as a Wahl Clipper, the Philips Noreclo Multigroom 7000 MG7750 does not have to be plugged in while using. The Multigroom 7000 can be used anywhere, while a hair clipper cord can get in the way and may be seen as an annoyance to those not familiar with it.

While your head hair and beard hair are starting to get a bit long and scruffy, trimming your beard for precision with this MG7750 trimmer will get the job done at a reasonable price. At right around $60 on Amazon, this Philips Norelco trimmer is well priced for the level of detail it provides.

Now, while the Multigroom 3000 sells for the bargain price of $19.99, it includes only 13 pieces. The Multigroom 7000, however, includes 23 pieces for hair, face and body grooming. This puts the Multigroom 7000 more in line with the Wahl Lithium Ion Plus, which has very similar detailing attachments.

Similar to the Multigroom 3000, the Multigroom 7000 requires you to keep switching out hair, beard, and body guards for each length you require. However, this grooming device offers a greater range of attachments, leaving all beard and hair length trimming options covered. This is helpful when looking to cut or trim your hair for a faded hairstyle look.

Additionally, the Multigroom 7000 includes a foil shaver for creating a smooth finish and a quarter inch precision trimmer for tight spaces. These attachments will help get past that stubble finish of the Multigroom 3000 and leave you with a smooth finish.

Where the Philips Norelco Multigroom 7000 has an advantage is its quiet, powerful motor and DualCut blades. This precision trimmer cuts crisp lines and feels smooth throughout its use. It fits into tight spaces with ease and was able to detail my beard with efficiency.

The Multigroom 7000 is reasonably priced, quality made, and gets the job done for your DIY home haircut, beard trim or body groom.

It's not the $19.99 bargain of the Multigroom 3000, but for under $60 it’s well worth it for the precision and detail you will achieve.

The Philips Norelco Multigroom 7000 includes 23 pieces, which include the following: - A trimmer handle - 32mm full metal trimmer - Wide trimmer - Foil Shaver - Precision trimmer - Nose & ear trimmer - 4 hair guards - 2 fading hair guards - 3 beard guards - 2 stubble guard - 2 body guards - 1 eyebrow guard - Nose & ear trimmer - Brush - Storage bag - Power Cord

Are the barber shops closed and you need a haircut Well in this video I'll? Show you how to trim your hair from home with the Philips Norelco Multigroom 7000.. Stick around! What'S up guys., I'm Paul D'Onofrio back with you from GroomReviews, where we're getting you Comfortable, Confident and Clean in grooming. On this channel, we're bringing you everyday grooming product reviews.! So if you're new here be sure to SUBSCRIBE and make sure you hit that NOTIFICATION BELL to stay on top of all our latest videos., You can also check us out on our website at groomreviews.com.. I hope all of you are safe out there in the world. Wherever you might be., I know these are difficult times we're all going through, but remember we're in this together, and I wanted to bring you this video to help you guys out. Now, as most of us are looking at quarantine in our homes, we may have come To find out that our hair is growing a bit long as the days pass and the barber shops are closed., So that leaves us with little option other than to have someone in our family, maybe cut our hair or cut our hair ourselves.. Now, cutting our own hair is definitely intimidating. It'S intimidating to myself.. I know some barbers out there that won't even cut their own hair., But the good news is that, while we are all in self-isolation, we don't really have to see anybody., So we can actually practice on ourselves see what happens if we mess up no big deal.. Now, from looking on Amazon, I can tell a lot of people right now are going online and looking for that dedicated hair clipper with the open and closed lever. That'S mostly used in barber shops for fading your hair.. A lot of them are sold out. There'S not many, you know dedicated hair, trimmers left and a lot of them that are left say. You know two to three weeks to get. Now, in this case, I think the most convenient thing for you guys out there is to see what you have in your house like, I said, and I think a lot of you have this Multigroom 7000., But in addition To that this is the perfect all-in-one device., It's good for your hair. You can use it on the beard and it's also a body groomer.. So, while we're home right now, all of our hair is gon na be growing in all these places, and we're gon na need something to use all over our entire body.. In addition, it does not have a power cord that has to be attached to an outlet., And a lot of people aren't used to that once they get these. You know like a Wahl Clipper or something you're gon na have to plug it in and that's how you're using it.. Now, if you take a look at the guards that come with this Philips, Norelco Multigroom 7000 you're gon na see that there's four hair guards that are sixteen millimeter, twelve millimeter, nine millimeter and four millimeter., But you're also going to get those beard guards in there. That can be used interchangeably on the hair., So you have those that are in one two, three five, seven millimeter incremental settings.. With that you have enough. You know differences in there to actually fade the hair in a certain way. You know if you use them correctly, going through., So for me going in testing this out. I want to do it as if this is all we have.. Whatever comes with the Philips Norelco Multigroom 7000. That'S what we're gon na use. We're not going to use any you know scissors or combs or whatever. We're just thinking hey. If we just took this straight out of the box - and this is all we had in our house, what could we do with it? Can we cut our hair? Can we cut it decent? What'S it gon na look like So right now, let's jump in we'll see what this Philips Norelco Multigroom 7000 can do. I'll put the different comb attachments that I'm using up on the screen. As I go. We'll see what happens, wish me luck and I'll see you guys on the other side, Alright guys.! So there you go. - That was the Philips Norelco Multigroom 7000. At-home haircut without going to a barber, and i think it turned out pretty good.. So for those of you out there who are at home right now in quarantine, who may have this on hand or those who were just looking to purchase this off Amazon - and maybe it's available. - This is definitely a great product to just go in there and test Your hair out right now., I mean there's nobody, who's gon na see what's happening, except for you and maybe someone else who lives with you. But, like I said earlier, we're all learning we're all going through. This together. Make some mistakes. Test out. The product. See what you can do and let me know how it goes in the comments: below., Alright guys. Thanks for watching. I hope you found this video helpful.. I wish you all the best Stay safe out there And I'll catch you next time.

GroomReviews: In Stock Trimmer As of May 2nd, 2020 LATEST VIDEO: DIY Home Haircut - Philips Norelco Beard and Hair Trimmer - Series 5000: https://youtu.be/zae04BSqivg

Mike Davis: I've been looking for a video that uses this exact trimmer I already have as I was nervous to give it a go when not knowing the unit's potential. Watched you do it a couple of times and jumped in. My cut is by no means perfect but it definitely did what I needed. Thanks for posting!

devmighty: Thanks for this great video, very appropriate for the unprecedented times we are in. I was so scared to try it until now but you made it look so easy and safe. I will definitely give it a try.

2much4yall: Perfectly timed video!! I literally just bought this clipper off of the recommendation made in one of your other videos and needed a tutorial to cut my hair once it arrived. Thank you!!

Zer0TheHer0: As always - thank you for the tips. I've been cutting my own hair and beard for about 6 years and I can recommend this to everyone. It's more convenient to do the haircut by yourself. And nowadays this skill is even more valuable since all the barbershops are closed. Cheers!

Lisa Duvall: This was an amazingly easy approach to helping shear my husband and son during social isolation. Thanks so much!

Ahmad Al-Sarraj: Dude, you're a legend! I received my Multigroom 9000 today, and it's currently charging. I'll keep watching your video a few times before I go to experiment in the bathroom! lol not going to mess a lot with my hair, just gonna trim it overall so it gets shorter, but I'll try to be artistic with the beard xD wish me luck!

C. D.: I have been cutting my families hair for years. This is absolutely amazing how you can do this yourself. I love this video and how amazing your cut came out. Hoping I can retire and my family can now cut their own hair. Thanks again.

DJ Tommy: Thank you for your video. This gave me the confidence I needed to cut my own hair for the first time today and it came out good, thanks to your video. Keep up the good work .

vaibhav dubey: Awesome! No BS , just straight to the point. Thank you!

Calvary-Episcopal-Church-Batavia-IL: Your video made a real difference. I have the Philips Norelco Bodygromer 5000 with the same 4 hair grooming attachments. After watching your video several times, I finally used it last night and, while the finer guards show a few bare spots around my ears, my hair looks better than it has for months. It had been almost 3 months since my last haircut. I’ll still go to my barber when we can. Meantime the bodygrommer and your video ace made a real positive difference. Thanks!

Anoop Ramesh: Recently picked up the MG7715 (younger sibling of MG7750) which is sold in my region, almost similar except your model seems to have way more blade and comb attachments, which is good. Thanks for this video, not only did I get a better idea about using the trimmer well but also some tricks on the hair clipping techniques.

itreallyhappened: Your video was really helpful. I cut my hair for the first time ever using the multigroom 7000. Since the longest guard is 16 mm or 5/8 inch it is difficult if you want longer hair on top. I managed by using clipper over fingers while sticking my fingers on scalp, forehead towards back, and repeatedly grabbing and cutting upstanding hair with a guard. In the end everything worked nicely and I have a haircut of which to be proud!!

plauditecives: This is terrific! I managed to grab the last one online, and it arrived today. Feel pretty lucky to see a demo before I actually use it. Thanks.

Ananth Pai: Awsome tutorial. Step by step beginner explanation was just so helpful. Thank u. Was able to cut husband and son s hair with ease.

tharun jose: Thank you for your product review I bought the multigroom 7000 and did self hair cutting :) It came out excellent

Adi Gold: Ordered the MG7750 for my father, your video is exactly what we need to watch right now! Thank you very much

Tre Meridius: Awesome work, great video, and easy to follow. Will be cutting my hair after work using this trimmer. Will assess the damage tomorrow.

jR Parikh-Islam: Just wanted to give a BIG THANKS for you doing this video! My wife was able to give me a hair cut following your video!!

BlaZe iT: I also have a Multigroom 7000 and cut my own hair for the first time with it! It came out pretty nice, I’ve done it again since

10703TR: Helpful, instructive video. Have a 7000 on order and waiting for it to arrive. I especially appreciated how you identified the progression of the attachments you used. Also enjoyed your choice of background music. Thanks.

Revival CC: Just gave it a try for the first time and it went pretty well! Thanks for the guide 10/10

richard zhagnay: I bought the same one back in Black Friday ($20) what a steal! It’s amazing for all places ;). So far I cut my own hair twice using this product. Saved me from looking bad lol

Chris Reilly: Thanks for this video. I've got the exact same trimmer and a bit over due a tidy up. I'm going to ask my wife to watch this before giving me a quick trim. If it looks like yours I'll be pretty happy.

Andres Crosara: That's really great, man! The Philips Multigroom 7000 is an incredible trimmer. And you are an excellent barber, because you can cut your own hair.

Mehdi Abdul Reda: Hey man, thanks for the tips, it actually worked out fine for me. Just started with the longer comb and worked my way down with the shorter ones.

Sana Hussain: You did an amazing job My 13 year old is already as hairy as you are and even has a beard! his last haircut was in January. I was down ill so couldn't take him and he's afraid of getting a haircut as we're still maintaining high position with this pandemic. I just got this trimmer, but not sure how well I'll do with my hairy bear Wish me good luck guys. tomorrow is the big day!

Norm: You actually did a half decent job of cutting your hair by yourself. I'm impressed!

DC Langer: I cut my husband's hair last month (first time) with scissors only. It came out great. Surprise! He now has confidence in my cutting skills. lol So, we bought a trimmer. Same brand, different model. I'm sure the concept is the same. I thank you for this video! Looks like fun. =D

Ricardo Cutforth: Excellent video. I just got this Norelco MG7750 and this video just made it very easy to understand how it works. Thank you very much.

Its Only Words: Tried and tested today on husband and it turned awesome. Thanks for this video!

Chris B: Thank you for this! Much needed especially now! Just bought the same Philips product and you video made it very clear on how to use and how to trim!!!!! Thanks brother!!!

volantes ad hollander: I do own haircuts with the same model for about 6 months now and working perfect. Btw bought this trimmer based on your review thanks!

Kristy Crippen: This was so very helpful and just the dose of confidence and instruction that I needed before cutting my husband's hair. Thank you, sir!

Liger LIGER: Well done... I bought Philips 7000 according to your videos . It helped me a lot , thank you so much.

Monkey: Fantastic video, you're a great barber if I may say so haha. I currently own the 'Philips multigroom series 5000 11 in 1 grooming kit' and I was wondering if that would be sufficient enough to cut hair with? Love the videos man, keep them up

Yogi Pai: This was so helpful ! Thank you so much :-)

Duca Degli Abruzzi: These trimmers are just wonderful!!

Nirav Vora: Hey, I finally tried it out. Not the best, but so much better than before. Thanks a ton. Please add a video on cutting the hair on the top of the head using the same unit if possible.

ShkelzenSamahodaj: Wow you did a such a good job. Great video as always.

Hoople57: I must say. I bought this today at Walmart. I ordered something similar on Amazon and it was back ordered. I have not touched the packaging yet. After watching your video I will do my own unboxing. I also gave a thumbs up and subbed. I have used Norelco shavers for about 40 of my 63 years and I have remained a loyal user; had the same shaver for about 20 years but bought a series 9000 5 years back and that was my daily driver, at least until you know what ahem, so, no need to shave every day ahem... I'm a violinist and I adored the music and loved that it wasn't interrupted. I'm probably twice your age but I was laughing and smiling throughout your video, to the point that I will need to watch it several more times before I actually do this so I have a sense of what I'm doing. Your delivery was great. Be safe, be well. Peace.

Q Q: OMG. You did such an amazing job!

Sabarikarthikeyan: I love this trimmer, Thanks for the video, works perfectly....All you need is patience...

Meshwork123: Excellent demonstration. Many thanks. Do you think that the Wahl lithium ion beard trimmer would be okay for a buzz cut? I’ve got a few of the trimmers, and at 62 with thinning hair I’d rather just use what I have. Apparently they can do hair, given the combs that come with them. Thanking you. Dave, Australia (formerly a silver fox, now balding)

Francisco Perez: Thanks so much. It worked out very well! You look great with your new hair style man!

starempress: Thank you! This help this mom to cut my son's hair during the lockdown.

CrashCarson14: Exactly what I wish I had 3 weeks ago. I had to cut my own and the only videos I could find were of people who had already been doing this and seemed to have an idea. The sides are easy it’s trying to do the back that’s so hard and if you have a mirror-everything’s inverted. Getting the fade isn’t easy at all and I couldn’t see well enough to get it right. One note: scissors are really hard, again if it’s just you, and getting the back is terrible. Just use that 16mm for the top, but then go shorter for the sides. Also doing the ears, and neck are really tough again because of inverted so just fade it and you won’t notice.

Octavio Colon Rojas: @GroomReviews. Just wanted to thank you for this video. Thanks to you I was able to cut my sons hair before his birthday tomorrow. God bless you and your family always!

anant joshi: Nicely done bruh! You inspiring people to stay home in this covid19 & cut their hair @ home

Harshdeep Singh: Thanks for this video. It was super helpful.

zookaba1: Thank you!!! This really helped me out!

Vesselin Krastev: I've been cutting my own hair for years but I've never done anything fancy. Normally, I either just cut it to skin lever without any attachments or using the smallest attachment. But I always just cut it evenly. Maybe I should try something a bit more complex. See what happens.

Edgar Guzman: Would you recommend the Phillips 9000 over the 7000? Is there a difference other than more attachments, more battery life, and a better case?

theredderthebetter1: Great job! Saving this video because my son is needing a haircut soon.

Hernando Suarez Sorzano: Hello, congratulations on your excellent videos, they are a great help, I wanted to see if the accessories of the Phillips MG7750 can be used in BT5500? thank you very much.

Usman S.: I find that the longest guard (16 mm) is too short for the top of my head. Maybe using a comb while trimming with the 16 mm guard would add some more length for the top.

Stephen Rudberg: Update to my previous comments posted a week ago. Managed to snag a Multigroom 7000 at my local Costco today and after giving it a 3 hr. charge, put it to use on my hair. Used the 4mm Comb Guard with the wide hair blade and gave myself a pretty decent cut on both sides of my head, including around and behind my ears with no problem. The hair in the back part was harder to shave evenly and so, one side or length came out slightly shorter than the other but I was very pleased with the result being it my first time ever cutting my hair. Also used the ear and nose trimmer for my ears. The Mutligroom 7000 is a fantastic device! Worth every penny. After my cut, I certainly felt "clean and comfortable" again after going two months with no cut.

rsander 17: Well done! Great video thanks for sharing.

Rohan Prasad: Great video..popped up in my feed today. You explained very well. I have a Remington MB4700. Hoping it will get the job done for me.

Innocent: Im using the same trimmer and especially the adjustable guard 3-7, I guess its for beard but its working great to hair and that's the trick to replace the half, that this trimmer doesn't have, by putting the indicator between numbers.

Federico Munoz: I got one of these for Christmas and this is the perfect time to put it to use. I’ll let you know how it turns out. Wish me luck!

Stephen Rudberg: Your hair was much thicker and you used different attachments. For someone who has thinner, shorter hair, and likes keeping it short, what shaving attachment would you recommend using on the Phillips 7000? Something that would cut at 1.5" ?

H S: I have this machine, it is great, love it.

World Explorer: Awesome job mate, perfect DIY job

Alvaro Garcia: Nice....I use layrite also... love it... thank you for the review

Ayub Uddin: Excellent advice & great video. Will be ordering today thru Amazon. Available for C$75.00, but delivery is 2-3 weeks.

Akshay Maldhure: Very neatly done!

Carlos Von Dysiak: Hi Paul. I'm facing a choice of the right trimmer for me. Staying at home for quite some time helped me decide to grow my own beard finally :) now it's time to take care of it. So I'm trying to decide witch trimmer is suitable for me. I'm choosing between Philips Norelco Multigroom 7720 or 3750 or Wahl 9818-800. Which one would You choose ? is Philips 7000 all stainless steel body ? BTW - great videos - very helpful with cutting and trimming hair. Thanks

Chris Q: Does the trimmer also works for overall body grooming too?

fongjorge: I should have seen that video first before I cut my hair, you did excellent in the back, didn't you use a mirror? Amazing!

The Bearded Witness: U know what, AWESOME REVIEW!! That’s the clipper I own, the Phillips Norelco 7000! In fact, I got it after watching your great review on it! I love how you say that its a great time to try a DIY haircut now because no one’s going to see you anyway because of the quarantine LOL!! Funny as hell! I may watch your video a couple more times before I try that though. Our hair is not the same, I have wavy hair and I’m going for a specific look. But you’ve motivated me to try doing it myself! I’ll let you know if I do! Thanks for another great video!

Raju Madan: sir its awsome. I always fail when i do my haircut but now i have a confidence. Thank you so much sir.

mapp47: Great video very straight forward and loved your choice in music!

Chirag Pandya: Going to try over the weekend. Question: Can I use this Philips Beard Trimmer Series 5000, BT5502/15 ? It has adjustments from 0.4-20mm. (Great video by the way)

Eduardo Paramo: Nice! Great product, great video

Jon McClane: Nice job, pal. I have the same thing, but only use it for my beard and tapering my hair line. I use a Wahl cordless trimmer to cut my hair.

Mohammad Omar: Hi Paul, Thanx a mill. for ur videos, cutting my hair will be my first try but we have no choice right now I took the same from amazon after watching ur channel before, and I am still waiting my item, in fact I am very eager to get it and I am very confident with my choice bcz of ur advice, thnx again for ur help in something I have no experience before

Shahrukh Zahir: About to go try this, luckily I use the same trimmer!

Strmzzz: Did the razor catch or pull your hair at any time? Great cut by the way!

Master Genius: Thanks for the vedio..it's really helpful

Michael M: thats the machine i have and i thought i was out of luck .Thanks for the video it was great!

gina contreras: Hi, I just bought this for my husband and it was fun. After watching the video I cut his hair. Thanks

Stephen Rudberg: Wow! Great job!

Charles Steiner: Thank you. Good demonstration, and I very much enjoyed the music while you worked.

westfield90: Thank you. I’m quite impressed

Saul Ramirez: This video along with your other video on the 7000 made me pull the trigger on one I found on ebay! Excited and terrified to try it haha

Filipe Cortes Bragança: Amazing video!

victorescu: I have the Phillips norelco 5100. The adjustment wheel means I can hit most of the lenghts I need. Will probably give it a shot.

Richard Villagomez: Omg, I'm not alone hahaha. This is so relevant right now. Thanks Paul!

Chris Benard: You didn't trim the top at all? What length would you use for that? And how would you fade the edges together?

Jason: Hi. Do you know if there's a big difference between ur series (MG7750) and the MG7720?

BulletProof: Can you explain please? If i cut my hair with the 16mm or the 9mm Which one is going to cut more ? The lower the number gets does it mean it will take more ?

mike ooi: I just bought this from Harvey Norman 2 hours ago. They recommend this since all hair clippers are sold out. When I unboxed it I was quite disappointed as all the fittings are for beard which I have none. I was intending to return it when I watched your video and realized it will work just fine. Thanks

Umais Bin Sajjad: You trimmed better than most of barbers in my area.

Nikhil Niks: U r a very good style perfectionist dear bro.. A good Inspiring video..

VitaminBoyz: Cut my little brothers hair and honestly it’s not half bad thanks you got a sub !

Anthony Tovbis: Nice video! First time cutting my own hair, nowhere near any acceptable barber status.... but will at least hold me down till the shops open back up again

Ethan Lam: NICE! THANKS FOR THE VIDEO! THUMBS UP!

Nobara Kugisaki: Is it possible to use the eyebrow guard on the hair? I need a 2 guard and it’s the only one in the package

Victor Umanzor Higuera: You have just saved My life, i was using the multigroom wrong, greetings from Chile
