Timothy chalamet, that's who i'm doing the video tutorial of today. I'Ve gotten so many requests for his haircut. So this is fairly recent from his instagram page, and you know it seems, like a lot of you guys, want to see his haircut, which is kind of a medium length, textured hairstyle. Now he does have some wave to his hair natural wave. So it is going to be a little bit different with this mannequin, because this mannequin is straight. So what i'm? What i have to do is i have to create a layered shape throughout the entire haircut, while leaving some length to give the illusion, or also to help make your hair have a little more a little bit more texture to it like if it was wavy. And that's what layers really do so follow along with the haircuts and then i'll break it down at the end, dude down dude dude, all right, everyone, i'm going to break down the haircut that i did first thing. I started with the base in through the back, which is the length right here, so we have it right towards the bottom of the nape area and then what i did is i worked my way from the sides down on an angle in through here, so the Length on the sides is just below the ear, depending on where your air, your ear, sits. But i'd say it's about right in through here as far as the length almost the same as here, but i just go up on a slight angle and then working the angle all the way up this way, not too high up, because we need to have some Length but i'd say it's just towards the tip of the nose into here as far as the front length, so it does go shorter, all the way into slightly longer throughout the back the same thing on the other side. So now we have a nice balanced shape, and here is where it gets interesting and where you know, you really need to have this happen in order to get this haircut, especially if you don't have wavy hair. So now the layers you have to have layers in your hair in order to create this type of look or a wavy type. Look if your hair is straight. If your hair is wavy, you can get away with having maybe longer layers if your hair is curly or wavy, and you put layers in it's going to make it that much more curly right and then you're going to see that more so, depending. If you don't want to see the curl, then you need to have your hair longer. So the ways to curl down follow the head shape around to where the top here is probably about i'd, say six inches or so all the way throughout the very very front. Again slightly shorter in throughout the front here, but i maintained a consistent layered shape all the way throughout the entire top. Now, if you'll notice, what i did when i was cutting - and this is really crucial - and it's a great effect to do this - especially if you're, a hair stylist and you get the opportunity to use it and do this - is in order to get movement in through. Here sometimes you need to remove the weight from underneath right underneath each layer, so what i did is i took each section and flipped it upwards. This way with my fingers, i flipped the hair up and literally cut the hair like this, and what that does. Is it it removes kind of interior weight and allows you to have a lot more of the kind of flips into here and the movement, and it really creates a great illusion and it's it's a haircut technique. I'Ve been using for years and years, and it comes in very, very handy, same thing on this side - the entire back into here. I did that with the shape, so it removes some some weight that lays over the bottom in through here, which is what allows this sort of flip in these movements. So then, i used my tidal wave sea salt spray which is selling like. I can't even keep up with this stuff. I sprayed that in and then i used a low air setting or you can use a diffuser and i lightly went through it and just scrunched it a little bit, but the problem is and what you need to be careful is that if you start to really Mess up your hair like this and shake it, and it's really just going to create a big frizzy mess. So you almost want to let this type of style air dry. I did use my crafted blow dry cream just to give a little bit of hold and texture. I blow dried it lightly. I'D say about 50 dry went back in with tidal wave when i was done and then really just worked it in and, as you can see, the finished result has an amazing look. I know a lot of you have been waiting for this tutorial and i apologize, but i had a lot of fun doing it and okay. So in order to get this type of haircut right, don't we're not done yet after i do these types of tutorials. Also, i'm thinking about selling these these haircuts that i do because they just go to waste and i've been getting requests from people saying hey. I want to buy this mannequin from you, i'm you know i charge a hundred dollars for or 75 for a men's haircut. I'M thinking about bumping up to 100 to be honest with you, but between the time the editing, the set a hundred dollars plus shipping uh, and it can get expensive if you're international. You can purchase this mannequin, but you have to. Let me know like dm me on instagram, because i will use this mannequin for another haircut and we lose this shape. If you want this haircut, if you want this mannequin, it may sound crazy, but i've been getting requests from people to purchase. My mannequin heads, you know, um, it's not a wig, it's on the actual unit, the head itself, so the key to getting this type of haircut. What do you say to your barber? What do you say to your stylist? First of all do what i just did, which was go on to instagram or whatever it is, and take screenshots right of the haircut you're looking for and then simply show that to your stylist or your barber. Now i right off the bat, probably would not suggest going to a barber someone who's not used to these types of haircuts. To get this look and if you're going to a hair stylist, then you need to really make sure they're good at men's hair cutting. Even though this is a little bit of a longer style, they have to really understand hair and in order to get this type of shape. If your hair is straight, all these little tricks and all these little things that i did really play into it. And if you're going somewhere, who spends 15 minutes on your haircut and you're paying 12 to 13 dollars chances? Are you may not get this type of haircut or this experience? So you really got to do your research you're, probably getting up spending a bit more money for your haircut. But if you want this and you care about your hair, then it's definitely worth it so stay safe and healthy. Thank you guys. So much for watching. Don'T forget to like comment and subscribe and i'll see you next time for more videos with a song

Luis Ochoa: If this guy was my stylist my life would be perfect

lmaoqasim: Salon Guy: "This mannequin is straight" I am too but not for timothée chalamet.

Tobi Rosiak: You know you’re getting a good trim when your barbers bald

tentimetex: If you dont have his hair type and also more-or-less his facial shape, then this haircut wont suit you. Just because hes super trendy doesnt mean that the hairstyle suits you. You have to get a hairstyle that suits YOUR facial shape and also your hair type. For example, if your hair is super thick, it will not hang the same.

Moad Lahlou: Crush : Oh I love Timothee's haircut. Me :

akilu: am I the only one who wants to try different haircuts but my big forehead won't cooperate

Alexia G: thank you so much for this! I did this for my husband and he liked it so much. Only thing I struggled with was the flip up thing you did. He has tighter curls in the front and more wavy in the back so I just ended up styling and drying his hair then cutting it curl by curl towards the end ☺️

MG Harris: Thank you Salon Guy! I just cut my son's hair for him, first time attempting anything that's not mostly razor-based. The movement was there even without your scissor curl trick, so I stuck to pulling hair out from the head at right angle and up from the top. Looks good, especially with the spritzes of seawater. :)

Carrie Wilson: This was an AMAZING haircut!! My 5 year old son has similar hair just blonde. We are growing out his bangs and this helped a lot. I just ordered your tidal wave sea salt spray!! Thank you!!

Aldo Rodrigo Del Aguila Alvarado: Finally! I've been requesting this haircut for several videos in the past. This exact haircut tutorial. Thank you for the good work you always do Stephen.

Giovanni Theunis: Finally his haircut tutorial gets put out I’ve been waiting forever thinking you’re never gonna release it. Finally came out and I’m so hypedThank you for the content

Austin Powers: Thank God I was getting discouraged not knowing what to do with my long hair I'm going for this thank you for making this <3

Soleil LaMontagne: Would love a more step by step version while cutting of this style! I cut my bfs hair and this would work so well on his hair but I’m a better learner with a slow step by step!

Ruth Elias: I just started watching this but am wondering — what would you do differently if your subject’s hair is *already* wavy? Less layers? Or does this cut work for already wavy hair as well?

emily howdy: ive been watching all your mid to longish mens cuts for about 3 hours now, but i FINALLY understand where im messing up the basics!! so amped to give my partner a haircut tomorrow with a wayyy better frame of where to start, how sections actually work, etc. cant believe i was just winging it this whole time..

Renato Guijarro: It’s sad when you see this and you know that you can’t get a stylist like him :(

Jordan Sparks: YES THANK YOU!! I've been growing my hair out for the Timothee Chalamet cut since I saw him in December!

noamvardys: I’ve been avoiding cutting my hair for over a year now and this is the seventh time I watched this video hoping to find someone as capable as this magician.

Gonzalo Arce: Omggg thank yoy sooo much, i have been waiting for my hair to grow out so i can get this haircut, this is exactly what i needed

K-LA-K: Found out this one looks good on me, even though my hair is a tiny bit curlier than Timothee's!

Daniel Calderon: @thesalonguy , I tried getting this cut, but I guess it’s not possible because how think my hair is and how much I have. I layered it but it doesn’t stay in place. I used your sea salt spray and it just makes my hair more frizzy. Any suggestion on what I can do or should I go do a different style?

Alex Dicy: Any tip for curlier hair? Loving your vids so far, and I love this kind of styles but my hair are too curly... How can I achieve something similar?

_Nevin: "This mannequin is straight" Omg I m dead

CN G: It would be cool to see a John Mayer hair cut when he had very long hair.

Manu: Hey man. I have the same hair type as him (probably a little bit more curly) and almost same length. Which products do you think I should use to maintain this cut?

Anthony Gutierrez: Would this work on for a circle shaped head? I always imagine it to look weird on me but I have curly hair. I usually get a fade and keep the top clean.

Ahmed El Taib: Q: I always have a hard time running my hands through my curly hair, is there away to make it thinner so it wouldn't clump up together?

NMEofdaST8: I just got this cut my stylist left it a little too long on top but it's fresh !

Jash baria: Some of you guys might tease him for being bald but for me i think he is the best hair stylists out there

Red Draws: This is EXACTLY what i want for my hair

Alin B.: *The mannequin lowkey looks like blue eyed version of Robert Pattinson*

Tony Montana: its sad how there are so many barbers making money off of haircuts and they can’t get even get the basics right

matty g: besides the pictures, what’s a good way to describe it in words? just to make sure the barber/stylist is on the same page? amazing and super helpful video btw, thanks so much

aestro philex: Would this work for females hair? I’ve been wanting my hair shorter for ages but not too short

Lame Drawings: I always wondered why the back of my hair doesnt curl up (Around the nape length) when every single guy I see grow their hair out have that curl. Kinda annoys me ngl.

Seif El shorbagy: Not me thinking timothee will actually be giving us the tutorial

pol: Just showed a hair salon lady various pictures of this mannequin with the finished hairstyle and asked for this haircut. My hair was well over long enough but she cut above my ears and to the top of my neck and thinned it out so much that it's basically just a mushroom on my head. No idea what she was thinking but now I don't want to go to school and I'm $58 broker.

Manu Gomez: I love this haircut

Harry Potter: Bro this needs to be a multiseries. I'm rockin a chalamet cut from a totally different year right now.

Puddworth be Ben: You should do Leonardo DiCaprio Romeo and Juliet haircut

Mr White: Ain’t a salonguy video without “in through here”

Dani Mari: Aww thank you! You are amazing❤

Abraham_11 tamayo: SI alguien me lo explicara en español seria increible :))

fmlcatherine: I wanted a straight bob cut but I feel like my brother ended up watching this tutorial

Amanda Faries: Not a guy, but these videos are fascinating

Official Damian Wayne: I'll try to do it on my own CHALLENGE ACCEPTED

Jesus Suarez: That’s fire I gotta hire this guy to do my hair like this

Jan Pinlac: This is what I need ❤️

Fahad Ameer: Finally thank you my man.

sam: just realized how much I need timothee's haircut

Ben Pannell: how long would it take to grow my hair out to this length? my hair is currently at eyebrow level but the sides are very short

Rafael: If someone with long caucasian curly hair wanted to achieve his look in the picture, what kind of hair straightening method would you suggest? Because his hair is more of a wavier type than the more common straight hair that you get with ironing and chemical treatments.

Joshua: I want to style my hair like Timothée's, but I think my hair is a bit too long. But I also don't really want to cut it

Emm: Thank you soooooo much!

RAHATINNAME: Would you need product like Sea Salt Spray or Mousse? Or in the case of Coarse Thick Hair, would there be any need for styling product at all and only rely on the right layered haircut?

I came scøüring the internets wealth of knowledge and wisdom for guidance and council. I happened upon your video and cut my hair alongside your video. I can only barely pull this off due to my line of work requiring a great measure of dexterity. I’m walking out of this bathroom with an entirely presentable piece of hair! Absolutely unreal compared to what I had.. don’t to myself.. thank you
