#MensHaircut #Haircut #Hairstyle

All right guys welcome back to the regal gentlemen, youtube channel the hunter collective. Today we've got alfie in the chair. How are you doing mate? I'M good you're, good yeah. So tell me what we're doing it looks long yes, so i haven't in my head quite a while okay, so today i pretty much just want like a big trim. I don't know how to kind of describe it, what what lucky you're trying to achieve? What are you thinking for cause? What what is this is, if you had long hair for a while or is this grown out from something, so this has grown out from quarantine, wow, okay, so i've never had long hair before what was it like before then uh fade skin fade curtains! Oh, you know, you know just that whole, that's nice. What look are you trying to achieve, then? What are you thinking if i was to put it in two words, it would be uh, cleaner, yeah, but also wavy, okay, so cleaner or like cleaner and wavy. Okay. So yeah, okay, cleaner, maybe okay! So a couple of things along here on guys, it's very hard to make long hair look tidy on guys, yeah, okay, because neck hair side burns things like that. So we it to make a haircut little tidy in long hair or to make a haircut tidy in general is usually lining out an edging of the hairline, but when you've got longer hair, you can't do that. So when i think of you saying cleaner, i think you mean a bit shorter. That'S what i would think a bit closer in not as big not as puffy yeah, okay, 100, yeah and have you have you got any i've got the image images that you're looking for? Have you got anything you can show me? Have you got something here? Okay, okay, yeah yeah yeah, so you're not far off really you're, not far off, but you want them. You don't want, as short as that, though, do you just a tiny bit longer? Okay, chinese bit long? Okay! So maybe what if it was a bit more over the years covering yeah yeah, because that's a good way to understand how we can make what length two minutes longer is based on how much it comes over the ears. So would you like that to sit a little bit lower down, maybe towards the earring length on the ears? No, maybe just the middle yeah yeah, okay, the middle of the ear? Okay, that's cool! That'S always a good indication of how short you need to go because we can base it on how short we take on the ears. There'S a fair chunk coming off then fair, chunk coming off, okay, cool and the same on the top. You want that kind of loose kind of almost curtains in a sense, but like a bit: looser yeah, yeah, okay, um, yeah, literally okay, cool yeah, all right son, we'll take that in and the good thing is you've come with a picture which i i swear by That because it it when i can make it look like the photograph you're even more happy, but also it makes me have a better understanding of where you come from yeah, because it's hard for you to explain what you want doing right. You know you're not a hairdresser or barber, so it's hard to explain it, but i'm going to raise cut the whole of this as well, because i think this type of hair with the loose kale and you still want the wave in there. So i just don't want that little flick at the bottom as well, so you can still little tiny bit come out. See eraser works perfect on this kind of thick kind of wavy hair all right! So i'm going to do the full haircut with a razor and just to mix it up a little bit. I think the finish will be so nice it'll be so loose. It'Ll, be very serrated as well around the edges. It won't be blocky at all, and i think it's a i think it's a face for the child. I don't know i've done a full razor cut, so i thought that'd be you're. A good example of what a raise can do for someone with longer hair. So um what we do we'll give it a shampoo and a condition and then we'll get started all right, so i've just shampooed and conditioned alfie's hair. Now we've just been having a chat about um the the styling routine at the end um, because i want this to be as as as easy and achievable for for alfie at home as well. Now, just to give you a bit of background alfie. If you don't recognize him with the mask on he's a content creator and he's very you know, he does a lot of titok and things like that. So he's moving about an awful lot, so his lifestyle is moving now. The reason why i'm bringing this up is because one of the things he said to me - maybe it was on camera or not was he doesn't want to go in his eyes again, because he films a lot of content and you won't be able you just want To look good and not be bothering you as you do when you're done you're doing your job right, but what i'm going to do first of all on this, is i'm going to put in a horseshoe section? Okay, because i want to again, i use this for the majority of my videos - it works. A treat for me is. It helps me separate the back and sides to the top. I go nice and straight across i'm gon na drop it down a little bit. The back as well, you see it's coming it's coming straight in there, it's dipping down there. We go i'm gon na leave that section out, because, as you can see it's on its own almost so, you think where the recession is with the side benders. So quite a lot of detail so i'll leave that section and bring that in just to preserve the thickness through this bit. Here now, bearing in mind, we want to leave length in here we're sort of halfway to the ear and pull this front section back. So we can maintain a lot of them through there just so it fills up that cut like that gap there. So i'm gon na remove that. So that's over my finger so i'm pulling over and i'm working down towards my fingers, i'm stopping halfway, because there's no grip between my air that bottoms my finger there pretty straight towards you taking that off as well. There we go now. If you look, there's some sections a bit shorter that enhance that care, but just give a really nice finish. Just use a guide from the top again form the guy from behind pull it out. You'Ll see it come past your finger there and then work it into your finger. Now because i'm using a texturizer there is a safety element to this, with the teeth at the top, which covers the razor blade. So i can work to my fingers, but if you're using like a cuff throat, try and stop before you get to the fingers, because there is no safety guard on that. So now i'm just working inwards to the neckline, i'm going to switch it over now and let me finish inwards because i want at the bottom a little bit shorter towards the neckline. Now, let's get that little graduation, a little bit shorter towards the neck and the neckline is the longest and lowest point to get away we're going a bit shorter. There. You have a nice natural graduation meet up with your fingers. I'M gon na start to cross check. Make sure i'm sticking with my guide yep, it's all staying the same length and guide out over the top, just keeping a little bit of length on the bottom, which is enough to get a little flick. Now we will be tightening that up freehand in a little bit now, if we get to this bit here now, i'm going to work straight on because the section behind a bit of shoulder, but i just want to leave a little bit of length just through the Back there to fill it up a little bit as well pop this section back into the last one like so going to work to the ear okay, so the middle of the ear so work on top of the hairline and just slide them through that. Look at the finish you get it's really nice and serrated. Then we'll pull this forwards like so we're down, put it nice and straight. Let me just wait to the collar shut that down nicely, i'm just using a little bit of freehand razor just to thin out the edges, so it flicks a little bit more with a bit of a choker hold it like a pen. I'D like a little graduation in now as well slide through them shorter elements in there as well, so leaving some longer hair that will curl up nicely so as it dries that'll be a lot shorter. But then you just have that longer effect into the hair. It'S going to work the razor across now. The reason why i'm doing a slightly different angle is because i want to change the texture right so when it falls it moves nicely this way as it falls flat. You'Ve got a different texture to it as well slide right in there. Let'S help his neckline moving from eyebrow, i'm just using that. What we're doing is giving a nice bit of thickness through the back filling up again the hairline there and just creating that kind of nice shape nice silhouette to the haircut as well, pull that out and take some nice short sections in there. So the overall length is long. You can't see the way it hides in the interior here or it does. It just adds a little bit of texture when you start to dry that off another product, then let the shoulders come out. Add movement. Add texture same as before, now top comes into play, so take the clips out right, so we're going to work horizontal now, okay, because we want to build up the length on the top. Now we want to take some off, but what i'll be left with is just a length that falls just nicely. Let me take a section above i'm going to use the eyebrows as the guide. Okay, because it'll match up either way into the sides, but i'm going to use the eyebrowser guide because that's since you've got into the fringe now using the eyes as a guide, i'm going to work across. That'S the full i wanted to good thing is well. If you see underneath i've also got a guide from the hairline underneath as well, so all this will still blend in, even though it is technically a disconnection, because the way the hair has been cut. Underneath you got the layers it's in shorter longer, shots are longer they're, just all nicely blending sections are roughly say, i don't know four or five teeth wide, because, while taking a bit of length off, i have a guide to the ice. There we go eyes. Are there another section just before the center there's a guide on the app i've also got the guy from the eyes as well. There we go one more section just off center there's my guide as we bring that back. The heaviness falls nice into the front. We can break all this up as well in a minute, but we're not getting any line or anything at all, see again using the eyes as the guide just before the center. Let me go with my guide: only a little bit just off center. There we go like i said, hardly anything to take off. It'S all matching, so we do now is we'll work through the top remove the length through the middle. So now we do work out how much we want to take off. So you want this to fall into the eyebrows right, so we're going to do this into the eyes. So again, we're going to match it to that point and that point there there we go and just with the razor and your thumb pinching like that against the razor creates that finish and just slide up like that, pull it out towards you put that out there. We go same again a lot of length now we'll work again horizontally now, another secondary shaping, leaving the fringe out. I think it's actually moved like this she'll work with the razor same thing again, i'm trying to work it going from forward to back. So i want to encourage this hair have that direction to come back like so i'm trying to force that hair just to fall back nice and easy same again, i'm gon na! Do it the other way. Now some batter front just again to switch up that texture to encourage the hair to fall forwards. It'S just that's a lot of texture when he does push it back. It just falls very easily for him all the way over that and just mix it up. Whichever way you want left right left right just to create that texture get the fringe out just gon na mirror what we did on the other side over remember. This is going back now front. It'S about to really encourage the hair to fall back and back to front and all the way over. Let me just mix this bit up now as well. Whichever way you want to pull this out, i'm sure i'll start to thin this out a little bit as you can see it's very thick. So this is all just accumulation of bulk and length working horizontal and i'm working horizontally through the top as well. Just from, like the say, the middle to the ends, so i can see we're going too close to the roots. Again, we don't want this to stick up we're just looking to try and thin it out and texturize it. The last little bit of texture we'll do before i start to style. This is i'm just going to do a little bit of texturizing through here, a little bit of root, lift as well just to give a little bit of height so from halfway up just working through the hair, okay, so a little shorter bits of them short bits. There they're going to help them stand up and not sit so flat. I'M going quite deep with this, because, obviously it's very thick hair here again, i'm leaving the fringe out. I want that fringe to really just fall very natural, so i'm not trying to dictate or change the way that wants to fall. Okay, that's a really big part of this look is that kind of like separation at the front, like a curtains vibe? So i'm not looking to do too much to that it's more everywhere else. I want to work on there. We go. That'S looking nice. So what we'll do this? This little bit of cream? Okay start with about a sort of five. What would you say that was like a five pence piece so rub it between our fingers all over i'm gon na scrunch this into the hair. Now this is towel, dried, okay. So this is what you can do at home. You can do this towel driving. You can let this dry. Naturally, i'm gon na speed up the process by using the diffuser, a diffuser is probably the closest you'll get to naturally drying your hair. Okay. I want this just to be a loose kind of curtains like that, so it just falls very naturally, as you can see, there's no center part in this because i cut it either side of the center. So you know you're not left with that kind of center part. Okay, now it comes to using diffuser. You want to dry the way you want to fall like this okay, but you can add a little bit something to it as well. So high speed, medium heat just start by drying it over the style just use your fingers just to pull it into place. You want to go and just dry it over the style like that. Okay, emphasize a bit more by just pushing on the hair to bring up my tail a bit more, i'm just looking for it to just sit in a very natural way, which it looks very effortless for alfie as well. It doesn't look like we've actually styled it. Like this, except we have all right a little secret. So when you're doing like any photo shoots or something is this kind of styling, where you make it look effortless, but we've done a style for alfie that is based on a photograph that he showed me that works for your hair. Okay, now again utilizing the razor. I thought was just a brilliant way to create that really messy look in his hair and that very natural effortless look as well, so the perimeter of the hairline just being really messy and choppy with storage structure in it um, but also that that lovely kind of Way the ends are clutched, just that very serrated finish just perfect for this kind of style, because you see all the surefits through it, but it doesn't look untidy now the last checks i need to do now. I need to take off the neck collar and just check the neck. Okay, so head down for me again. There we go so again when we go about clean. This to me is clean okay, shorter on the neck. It'S not hanging over the collar, but we've got that structure and that shape in there that holds it in place. It'S got shape all the way around it doesn't look out of place, doesn't look odd on air on alfie's head, it all sits nice and the final test is. I want you to run your fingers through your hair. Okay, so i want you to run your fingers together and start the way you'd like to style it. This is absolutely perfect. Do it just one of your things, it will fall back. I promise you, oh my goodness. I love it. It'S cool see without being in the center i've just dried it like that for you, okay yeah, and you get the little flicks through there again you get what you'll find when you're working with a razor right you get unevenness through. So you get a little bit that looks a little bit longer. You got a bit that looks a bit shorter than one day, you'll wake up and go. Oh that's a bit longer! Oh actually it matches now it all fits in well with each other all right. It just adds that real natural finish, especially that shape that you're looking for. I love it happier absolutely. This is perfect. Awesome thanks man right! Let me just show you now take the gown off, so you've got your true clothing on as well. So you see a bit better again: it always works. When you take the gown off, because then the haircut really comes to life, with what you're wearing as well. That is what you get so you've got that weight at the back. Wow you've got that shape sitting in there's also. Does that look clean to you? It'S just perfect. It looks nice. Thank you very much man. There we go. This is this. Is it awesome? Oh thanks. Man, i'm glad we got there mate. We got there, but i liked your input, though i thought you wanted, so it was nice to work together with that as well. This is like so much like this is so me. This is this is what i've been envisioning for the longest time, because i've been i've been wanting to get a haircut for at least a month, yeah yeah yeah. I was like yeah, i'm ready for this awesome man, that's weird! I love it. But again the thing is, i don't want you to be precious with your hair again, your job that you do you're filming video content, you're going to be moving about exactly. I don't want this to be the only way you wear it. So that's why i said just run your fingers through it right. I don't want you to be stuck. I can't move it now, because it looks like this yeah. It will always look like that and it one day it might not one day it might more move over to one side. It doesn't matter because it's all cut evenly and you've got the shape in there yeah. This is on you and then you start taking the perimeter everything i want yeah. Even more. That'S awesome, i'm so happy! You

Diego: now this is a perfect barber, all barbers think it’s all about fades and cutting hair short af

Ernan Salgado: If only every town had a barber like this

mister sir: Now boys if you find a barber as dedicated, caring and passionate as him, you've found yourself a keeper. Never cheat on him. Tip that man good and always go back for more.

Ike Greger: Guy: it’s just perfect *Barber quietly*: thank you very much man

Danno GNR88: Had this hairstyle as a kid back in the 90s then I remember it phasing out going into the 2000s and everyone thought it looked stupid. Funny how styles come back.

chamin♡: The person who is cutting his hair is so kind

adonidem: he seems to be the gordon ramsay of hairstyling

TheLEAprechaun: I wish my hairdresser was this kind and listened this well, I've never had one like this and that's why I've started cutting my own hair.. but this looks like such a relaxing hairdresser experience

Jack Cameron: Litterally never seen a whole cut just from a razor, i didn't think people even did them anymore. But ofcourse dan's a master at it

Christian Rivera: Finally a guy that cuts and styles hair . I am tired of looking all this barbers doing the same fades .

Enlightened_One ॐ: Ah yes, the 'Tik Tok' cut....

Brandon R: Dan seems perfect in understanding exactly what his clients want. Love it.

Simon Cullum: Stumbled across this earlier and can’t stop watching! Inspired me to grow my fade out into a longer style; getting through the awkward length has usually stopped me but I can see now that a really good cut after about 6 months can make it easier to carry on. His cuts for medium length are fantastic!

Yusuf Toefy: This man is a gem, Literally the only hairstylist that actually listens to the customer

Sodrul Hussain: Dan's Tekkers is absolutely ridiculous, seriously thinking about travelling to London for a trim.

Bluez KLewz: This channel is the best for men’s haircuts. Beardbrand WISHES they could do this

Rolando Rimarim: The client is happy. That's what really matters.

valarya: you're a wizard, Dan. this customer was ECSTATIC with his cut :D

youlovelemusx: The whole service was A1!!! The consultation was perfect, explaining what you’re doing as you’re cutting, taking the cape off to show the clients haircut, it was perfect man

Jack Lynch: This guy is the real deal because he acknowledges there are other hair styles than fades and just short hair.

Ad Lad: Not my kinda style but the client looked absolutely delighted with the way it turned out. Dan's such a wizard.

Ciclopea2: Watching in awe of Dan's skills, and that razor noise is so satisfying lol, i loved it, i think i had a similar haircut as a teenager at some point in the 90's, Alfie looks great!

Adam K: the way the barber explained the long hair look is brilliant. I jotted down some terms for my next hair cut.

SPG: I know we all wish our barbers are like this guy

willieboy: Didn’t think I would like this haircut but it looks AMAZING!!!!Dan is an Amazing Artist!!!!!!

Andrew Clark: This haircut is fantastic! I'm growing mine out now, once it's long enough I'm going to get something very similar

Joohee Han: Absolutely beautiful razor technique ❤️

100%: Wow Dan is very versatile that is an amazing haircut! Client is very excited about it. I've always wanted something like that too if I ever grew my hair out.

Nathaniel: Damn this barber is the best I’ve seen just how friendly and thorough he is making sure they’re both in the same page

Steve-in-Cornwall: Alfie has amazing hair and the haircut looks fantastic.

le fu: yet another magnificent hair tutorial my hairdresser wouldn't be able to replicate even his life was at stake lmao

TheJojo01902: A superb haircut. Wonderful job, Dan!!

bekal K: Really looks good on him. Nice work Dan! If you can I would love to see this kind of haircut but with the sides shorter. Maybe done with clippers or smth

Marky Red: Mad props to this barber, crazy talented

Wavy Dane: damn this man knows how to cut the hair exactly how you want it, this man is really talented

Angel Sanchezproa: Even when they barley cut any hair Dan still transforms them

Shareen Koirala: This is the kind of hair stylist everyone needs !

Pete Viney: You listen to the client and do a great job. I liked it longer but this this is soooo much better than a skin fade!

Lola Ottinger: Dan went to barber school, I went to beauty school in 1964...the difference in our knowledge of hair cutting is like I was taught the Dick and Jane method, Dan was taught the Shakespeare method. Believe me not one of our instructors ever mentioned the occipital bone. Until I started watching Dan cut hair, I was happy with what I learned, now I feel cheated. He’s such an artist. (Dick and Jane was a primary reader, with the simplistic of text, for instance some of the text might go like this, This is Dick, this is Jane, see Dick run, see Jane run...they didn’t expect much of us!)

Power Store: The sound of the razor is so satisfying!!

rémY: The consultation part is so good I just start nodding along with both of them for no reason

Aliecia: This is my absolute favorite hairstyle for boys with this hair texture/type. The "Curtain Haircut," I fell in love with it when seeing boys from 90s films such as Rider Strong rocking this hair cut.

J P: Great content mate. Keep doing more awesome vids. You have so much passion. Cheers

superboy bbot11: I got almost the same hair, just shorter. Im starting to grow it out just like this! This hairstylr is generously perfect. Like I want this EXACT haircut, I’ve been trying soo hard the past years to accomplish this, but no barbers manage to get it done. I can’t even do it. I need help! This is my dream haircut and idk how to do it by myself, I don’t even have the equipment. (And btw how can I get rid off dandruff? It truly is annoying!) Thanks

Sebastian Zip: I don’t know why... but I find this barber’s voice to be extremely relaxing.

Macy Mitchell: I love this so much. These 90s cuts are coming back and this video i think solidified my teenage clientele lol gonna go break out my razor and get to work!

Sener: I'm a young woman in her 20's and I've been looking for a relatively short-cut hairstyle for that type of hair for such a long time and then your video just popped up in my recommended. THANK YOU so much!!! It's exactly the type of hairstyle I've wanted for over a year now and I feel so much joy and happiness that I can finally envision the look on myself and KNOW that it will look good. I definitely know what to show my hairdresser as a reference photo. Thank you again!! (Also, I very much enjoyed watching the whole 20 min length of the video. I see the creativity and skill/technique in your video and I learned a few things or two! Thank you for explaining your steps during the process :-))

Seaz: I would literally fly out after I’m done growing out my hair just to get a cut like that from him lol

Joseph Yen: I wish every barber was like this dude, most barbers I’ve met barely understand what I want yet don’t even bother to have a decent discussion with me

Paul Herbert: I have never seen a barber who's very meticulous with their clients. This is the reason why i subscribed. Keep it up!

Swakk_x: Hey Dan, loved the haircut, such skill you have my friend. I'm very curious to know how would you deal with a customer that says at the end of the haircut after you've put so much effort into it, "can we take it a bit shorter" wouldn't you have to repeat the whole haircut again and wouldn't that annoy you to the point that you dont want to do it all over again

Ivan: I’m lucky I found an amazing barber he saved me when I had a bowl cut and I got a haircut from him two days ago. I always get compliments from people when he cuts my hair

dxnny: What a haircut! I have long hair now too but my hair is probably too straight for a cut like this

Cristiano Misael Cowo: Great cut hair. Looks so smooth, and natural. Handsome barber by the way..

Timzan: That's one sick haircut. It looks so good on him. Well done

lick my spoon: i wish my barber would talk this much to me and make sure it’s the way i actually want it

Jonas Bunke: I‘ll show the result to my barber at the next haircut Much respect! It‘s fire

tech syndrome: i am obsessed with this hairstyle , so much more personality !

Mr King Tiger: I love this hairstyle

Cormac N: Love this hairstyle! Guessing some people bring in a photo that is impossible to achieve.

Koi: Why not all barbers like him ? He cares about his client.

David Betancourt: Never seen a razor cut before! So basically late 80s mid 90s haircut style. I’ve been a fan of that style, but never found the perfect barber to cut my hair.

Fursty Qibs: he is definitely the Gordon Ramsay of hairstyling.

Rob Morton: I personally think it would’ve looked better with it tapered a bit more in the back (so it didn’t look as much like a mullet), but nevertheless great cut and fantastic hair

Karl B: Absolutely one of the best barbers in the world. I personallu would have kept the hair a little longer, but this looks fine too.

Emma s: Good job I've got a gent coming in for a curtain hair cut thanks for tutorial!

jam es: tip to barbers even though im only a 12 year old child who is insecure about their looks 24/7: Do not ever laugh when a customer mentions their haircut as it can make them insecure and also make them never come back. You can act all talkative and fun but there is a difference between that and looking like you are laughing at them. Thanks for reading this and probably wasting your time as youre not a barber lol.

John Smith: That “before” look looked just like Timothy Chalomet, with a mask! lol Talent counts, but EXPERIENCE was the king here...amazing job. And that was the QUIETEST haircut I’ve ever seen and heard on Youtube, made me think of Mr. Rogers if he cut hair...lol

Rastron: Me explains like this to the barber but at the end none of my hair exceeds one inch

Javvy Dela Rosa: The 90's hairdo!! This hairstyle and the undercut are all 90's hairdo! It's nice to see that my hairdo when I was in highschool are all coming back in 2000's.. is that how the life is or should I say the lifestyle? It's just going around?
