Hi guys I'm Robin - and this is my youtube channel man from self welcome. If you're new to my channel then straight away, please do click subscribe. Just means you can see all my videos as soon as they go live this video that we're on right now is all about this sort of smart, formal hairstyle and got really bright. Let'S put this down a little bit, and I first did this hairstyle and event. I went to last week I'll put a little link to their hairstyle that I had up there and and also what I wore, but it's more of a sort of formal hairstyle. It'S something which a lot of slick edge, really neat, got this really great showing from pomade and - and it's also here that I think I'm gon na wear to my sister's wedding in April, so for the style you're going to need a hair preparation, treatment of cream. I'M using label and grooming cream. I hear pomade, I'm using star wax crystal I'm using this one, because it's got a really great shine and it's got a high all at the same time, a fine-tooth comb and then optional, but I'd always recommend a hairspray. Just make sure all stays in place so guys, if you want this exact hairstyle, it's really important to get the right cut. First, I've got a really close cut from the back inside and it's just with a scissor. It'S not the Clipper, but it's over the comb and it's a 5.5 grade and then the top of my hair has just been kept long. Just taking some of those ends off to keep it neat. It comes down just to about my nose so they're big eyes. I'M starting with clean and towel dry hair, and then it's really ready to get going and I always say that my hair I've got loads of it, but it's really fine and and sometimes when I'm using pomade, it makes it look even thinner, and I can see My skull, so what I'm going to use is a little bit of a sort of prep treatment, so I'm using and product you see before me, which is label and grooming cream. That'S just going to thicken and plump my hair and just get it ready for before the pomade. Ok, once it's all the way through grab a hair, dryer and just dry it off medium temperature and a fast speed and just working through okay, when it's dry and stomping, you can see already. My hair does look a bit thicker when apply the pomade and layers and something that you could go wrong on guys and something I've learned the hard way many times with its sticking too much in I'm going to brush up here just forward cutting that undersides. It is going to come back in itself, stay my right again, maybe even a little bit less this time, I'm going to go under I'm going to push in my past videos. People always laugh at the way. I say push because of my accent so hopefully you're finding that funny, okay and I'm literally using this hand, my free hands, are up to sweep it back, I'm using that one sweet and then this one just to hold down and then with the pies I've got It where that of disconnect is I'm just going to sort of sweep down with my hand, feeling any hair there and then away you just sort of parting rushing and then pushing push okay. Next, what I'm going to do is grab a comb and I'm just really going to neaten this all up. So I'm kind of picking the hair up from the front and placing back and then with the sides, I'm actually sweeping in a diagonal motion from the front sort of top down and I'm just working all the way around it. Okay, right, you can see I've got these little bits, sticking up again: tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny little bit product so just stick it and then place it. Okay and then the very final thing that you can do, which is optional, but I always recommend a little bit. Hairspray just want bands spray spray spray. I can see there's a few up there, and this is just maybe even a little bit stickier than that for me, and it means you can just grab that and also, if you're, going to an event for more wedding. Anything. You just don't really want to take the risk, and that is it. Thank you very much for watching guys hope. You'Ve enjoyed this one and it's a hotel. I really like em, and I think you guys will do well. I'M hoping you do. You can leave me a comment down below give a big thumbs up if you're new to my channel click that subscribe button. Please, but thank you again and I'll see you in my next new video bye, bye working around the horseshoe of my head. He divides the hair on the top from the back inside now, he's worked up slightly higher on the curvature of my hair, just to retain a square of silhouette, because the back of my head is quite flat.

Gallucks: so suave! don't think I could pull off this look well done !

Dhruv Mehta: Hey Rob, Love all your videos. Been about a year and a half since I've subscribed to you and I must admit, both, you and your channel have evolved massively. Your videos are just so informative that I have to pause whatever else I'm doing to pay attention, and you're just so naturally good at it =D Definitely liking the new 'Man For Himself' name and I can totally see why you've chosen it. In your recent videos, I really really love how you explain thoroughly like "Picking the hair up with the comb in the front and pushing it to the side" instead of just doing it. Love it, Love it, Love it =D

David: I'm still rocking the haircut from your video "The Best Men's Haircut for 2016", got it a day after the video went up. I love it, finally a cut that suits my hairtype and takes little effort. Thanks for the inspiration!

Andrew Jefferies: Hey robin great video as always. Something I had a question about, and maybe something you want to make a video on, is hand technique and comb technique. For instance when I go for the third round of product I usually end up squishing or messing up the look, or when I'm initially running the product in I never get it cleanly set. Maybe my hair is just different than yours or its my big bear hands. Any tips on hand technique/combing technique to keep everything together without messing up?

Mat R: Loving the designer stubble you're rocking! Would you mind doing a video on the lengths and how you trim it on the sides and neckline?

Nathan Zus: Hello, I have a very fine hair and i have tried a lot of types of waxes and clays and my hair keeps falling down after 30 minutes or so, im using''Syoss'' mousse with a hair drier and after that Volumising Powder and ''Quicksand''. I'm really start to get devastated and think that my hair will never get any volume. Do you think that the Label M grooming cream will solve my problem? im already starting to think about getting a short cut and give up.

Hmmm Monke: I don't get it. Why many people has this type of style in any formal events? Is there's an unwritten rules that when in event all mens should use this hairstyle? Why can't they use they everyday hairstyle with the volume? In the end of this year my school had an graduation event and all boys has to wear suit. So should i use this hairstyle too?
