Hello hi: how are you i'm robin welcome back or welcome to my youtube channel this little world right here is man for himself. If you like, hip-hop reviews, grooming, skincare, fragrance and videos like this very one, then chances are you're gon na love it right here. Please do press subscribe right now, okay, it is uh, i say first thing in the morning: it's not really i've done quite a bit of work already, but i've showered washed my hair and i thought i would kind of just have a little chat with you about Um some of my favorite products at the moment, hair products and kind of what i'm doing with them in order to style it. So a chat and a do um. This new space here is my like wardrobe dressing room studio. I don't know um it's almost there. It'S a bit of a mess, but i thought i'll start using it. Also. The light might be a bit in my face, but we're gon na go wild, so i have been um kind of like changing up the shampoos and conditioners that i've been using and one of the ones that i'm still still sticking with and i've got like. Maxi bottles nioxin system, one um - this really has just become a bit of a routine. For me, no oxygen is about scalp health. I think, like thicker, fuel hair comes from the scalp, so i'm still using this. I get a lot of comments. Saying. Are you still using nioxin the answer? Yes, i'm still using nioxin. I just like the way it makes my hair feel and my hair is it's looking pretty good in terms of health, so i'm happy with it. I do look after my scalp and i think it's really important. I do use a lot of products. I do use a lot of heat. Well, i used to use more um, but it's feeling good another, really great shampoo and guys. I would really really recommend this is ocean mist by sashawan. This is like literally volume in a bottle. This is what i use today. Um, shampoo and condition - and you can see let me come in it - just really fills the hair with all this weightless volume and actually what i've been doing. A lot of is on the days that i wash my hair, i'm washing my hair more often than normal. I know i've said like don't over wash your hair, but i'm just touching it so much when i'm sitting, i feel like i've got my hands through my hair, i'm like playing with it and i'm taking the grease from my hands and putting it into my hair. Don'T do that? Don'T do that robin! I need to tell myself um, but when i am washing it, this has been great shampoo, conditioner and then, throughout the day, i've just got this really great volume in the hair, and it's maybe just a case of then just moving the hair out of my face Or tucking it, but it's kind of been a bit of a good to go product than to not do anything else. But when i am styling it actually i'm going to tell you about a leave-in conditioner before i before i move on, and i have found that my hair can sometimes feel a little bit dry and it's like feeling like it just needs a little bit of a Boost, i am i'm all about like adding in a treatment when you need it. There seems to be an obsession on youtube with oils. Every other youtube creator. That'S launching some products. Let'S be honest, some products are quite good actually - and i've said this before, but they seem to be like saying like. Oh i'm launching an argan oil, i'm launching this oil, i'm launching this oil. It'S like do you need that oil, so many of these guys, maybe you who are buying these products, you don't need those oils. Your hairs are ready and fantastic quality. You'Re young, your hair, looks great. You don't need this um, so just maybe be a little bit more discerning when you're buying those products and but one leave-in conditioning treatment that i do love by a brand that i love um is kevin murphy and this is leave-in repair treatment. Is that what i call yeah, leave-in repair um, just a couple of pumps of this straight through the hair? I do this on. I'Ve done this, like maybe four times now, and i've freely enjoyed it in the morning and just left it in my hair and then, by the end of the day my hair feels like bouncy. It feels conditioned, it doesn't feel overly done. That'S what i sometimes find with these oils. Your hair just feels a bit silky smooth. You know we still want it to feel rough. We still want it to feel textured. I say rough, not in like a oh god. That'S sharp, but like a rough as in like it's got texture, it's got movement, it feels like it's got body and this does that doesn't strip it out i'll link all of these um, but in terms of by the way that wasn't me having a go about Youtube creators - i know i'm gon na - have someone saying was that meant for x? Was that meant for, while probably um, but no just just be careful with the stuff you're buying? You don't need to buy loads and loads and loads and loads of products. This guy with loads of products here, but that's my job and i next would still do like a thickening treatment, um a thickening treatment just to give it the light is coming down just to give it a little bit more body. I use a thickening treatment more as like um, the pre-styler phase, so whatever you want from your hair and i'm going to be talking more about different pre-sellers, what they do and what the right one is for you that's the important thing here. I use products because they work for me, but i'm also going to tell you about the products that are going to be perfect for you, because it's not just about me it's about talking to you guys, but i am about thickening treatments, because i want my hair To look like this almost like too big, this is go big treatment by bumble and bumble, and i just put a couple of spritzes into the hair. You can put this in towel dry here. You can put this in damp here. Just make sure it's not totally soaked um. I kind of go overboard with this, but this is light enough. It'S not sticky! It'S not going to weigh the hair down, but what it does is just wrap the hair in order to get your hair dry. There'S heat protectants in that and then start to kind of move the hair into the position that you want. So i'm going to go medium heat fast speed and we can kind of just get through this bit. Okay, you can see the hair has got more um body, it's kind of got more direction to it, and that's just because the heat has helped with that product. In order to start later here you want laying the hair. You want always finish on a cold blaster. There you can see if you point too much heat on your scalp or your forehead. It is going to go a bit red, so just be careful, um blast of this cold air there and just take the heat of the hair down seal the cuticle up the shine. It'S all the stuff i see on this channel so much, i'm all about techniques and i'm all about things that are going to help you so subscribe. If you've not yet done so. Okay: okay, there you go huge, huge hair and because it has more weight to it, the longer the hair is the more weight that my hair has. My hair tends to be very fly away when it was short so like i needed to be piling products and to give it weight to hold it down. Um. A lot of you will have slightly heavier thicker hair and, i would say, head to mamfromself.com. The hairstyle directory is going to be a huge help to you. So you've got fine here, thin, hair, thick, hair, medium sort of hair um. You can press a button and it's going to give you the hairstyles that you want. Also if you've got asian hair, so asian hair tends to be more coarse. It tends to grow really straight. You tend to need to have quite a lot of length in order to have it to be able to stay down, or you want to be keeping it short and there's also some afro hairstyles on there too, and it's going to give you what to ask your Barber and how to style it yourself, i'm loving the hairstyle director, you should say there's so much going on there and i'm really proud of it. I think it is just something that's going to help. So many of you guys um find a hairstyle that suits you. Okay um: what would i do now? I'M looking at the products here, i'm kind of either stopping here and then just leaving it we're still in lockdown in london, i'm not going out. We'Ve just heard that barbers are opening again on april the 21st. I want to say i think, that's it for the 12th. Ah um i'll write it down here um and then we can kind of start to like get back to life proper in june right. I am using a couple of different products. Fat boy, styling cream, was one that has a hair on it that i got more into last year. Um, a lot of my products are still in storage. I'Ve got a storage container up the road from me, and so much is in there, and some of my favorite products are still in there, so these are products i've just been reaching for i like this. This is lightweight. I'Ve used this as a pre-styler, but i've also used this into a bit of styling and then a product that i received about. It must have been about three months ago. Certainly when i was here, a whole box of products arrived and i then worked with them. Uppercut deluxe and their clay, but i've enjoyed this because i thought having longer hair would be harder to use these thicker styling products, but actually they've been great. This just gives it loads and loads of matte texture. You can see it's a bit of a hybrid product, so it's quite waxy, but it goes in um really with a sort of matte finish and i just think it's giving it loads of texture. So i'm not going to use that much. I'M going to use about this with all your products, guys emulsify them, so scoop hands, really warm it up. You don't want fits and if you're getting bits, then you're not using it properly. Just take the time to warm that product up, okay and then i'm just kind of coating, the outsides - i don't want to be putting too much through, because i still want it to look like a little bit more natural, i'm also getting it through the back. But i'm tending just to like get a part in partings with longer hair, are so much easier just to sweep it behind the ear and pull down on the back. I do look like a 90s librarian today, but i'm feeling it and then i'm kind of i don't care about messy part. I'M not gon na get hung up on it. Um there's greater things going on in the world. This is like just a really quick good to go, and i might do this or i might flip it the opposite way: revolutionary, robin revere, lutionary and, if you've been with me for some time, hi. Let me know in the comments how long you've been with me for but flipping it the opposite way your hair grows. My naturally grows from my left, my right and that sits flatter to the head. But if you sort of flip it the opposite way, you're going to get more volume - and i might then do something like that. I mean fairly similar to the last one, but you can just tease the hair either forward like so or back, but there's more root. Lift there might grab a brush and just start to sweep back totally honest. Do i ever do this? No, but this is an option and there you go. I was just going to pop on here and just do like one look, but then i thought oh, i'm playing now, i'm as well, just two three um! Probably wouldn't do this. Look. Probably, wouldn't do the second look, but the first look is what i'm doing at the moment um. So those are the products that i'm really enjoying at the moment. Um, when i get my stuff out of storage, when i get my life ordered when i get this place, sorted and origin there'll be more products coming up, but the products pages on mamfromself.com are literally like most of the products most of yeah. Quite a lot of the products that i've tested and reviewed, and also that you guys have put your own review on so check that out i'll put that in the cards there. I'M also the hairstyles directory do check that out. Thank you so much for watching hope. You'Ve enjoyed this one thanks for allowing me to ramble, chat, drink some coffee and just talk a bit of. If you still not press subscribe, then please do press subscribe right now. The button is there so some movies and 10 thursdays and watch them um hairstyles right. I'M going to put you to your products: hey stop directly there, but until my next new video bye,

Terry064: Your website is insane, literally every guy should know about it, saved me hours on hours trying to figure out the best products for my hair type! Thanks Robin! Ps: your style is always on point, would enjoy knowing some of your favorite clothing brands!

Jamie Robinson: The best thing about Robin vs other you tubers. He’s not here to plug his own brand and he’s not here to sell you shit products he’s affiliated with. He just wants to give you genuine help and advice and show you products he genuinely loves and recommends. He’ll always be my go to YouTuber for hair and grooming.

nutmalone: I remember getting aveda's thickening tonic after your recommendation It literally saved my life, thank you!

Rian Ahmed: Love this video! You gave me inspo to grow my hair out cuz we have the similar type, dead straight, Great video Robin!

Steph L: Ever since I cut my hair and donated the 16 inches, I ran into your channel. I didn’t know how to manage short hair. It’s 3 years I’ve been following you already! Can’t believe it.

Jacopo Pacetti: Great content as always!! I have a question. I've been growing my hair out for 4 months and a half, starting from an undercut. I'd like to reach your hair length. Should I cut it on top to even everything out, or leave it like this? Thanks, and sorry for any bad English :)

majrminer: I've grown out for a year now. Longest my hair has ever been. I like it. Just a pain in the ass to wash and blow dry every day! I notice some ladies dig it and some are threatened by it.

Catex: The second look is the exact one I´m wearing atm and I actually really enjoy it. The first one suits you a little bit better though I think, looks great!

u.v. ray: I've been using Nioxin since you recommended it... Must have been a couple of years ago now. And I do echo your recommendation. My hair is now way past my shoulders, really quite long. I'm lucky (at 53) that it's also still very thick. I'm currently looking at Lincoln Hair Serum - it's kind of like one of those wonder products - thickens, lusters, promotes hair growth and all that - the whole sheboodle. Lincoln also do a full range of other products and I wouldn't mind seeing you review them. Still doing great vids, Robbo - muchas gracias.

PRINCE JOHN: I have been using Bumble and Bumble for a few months honestly it's a good product. And great video as always

Jano 291: Your hair looks really good and healthy! My hair really looks a lot like yours, including in length. Only it’s a kinda dry is I don’t add any products... At the start of your video (without products in your hair) this is how I would like to style my hair daily. Now I was wondering how do you get it like this? And do you blow-dry your hair every day? How often do you wash it with shampoo/conditioner? Sorry for all the questions! Greetings from the Netherlands!

Strapping Young Ladam: Robin your hair looks exactly as mine did before I cut it back in August. I'm 2 months into growing it back though. You look good man. Keep it going. I don't have a timeframe for how long I've been here but let's just say I've been here since "Hello! How are you? YES I'm very well thank you. Very well Indeed"

Alpha's #1 fan: What's a product you recommend that'll smooth and soften the hair, but not make it overly greasy? Lately I've noticed that when I don't shampoo in the shower, my hair thickens up to the point where it's difficult to run my hands through it and it feels oily.

Nick Sibilla: Robin, would love to see a review of Alex Costa's new products. I feel you may have been subtly referencing him when you brought up every Youtuber bringing out oils (lmao) but i actually picked up his argan oil and love it. Would love to hear your input on the entire line as I'm growing my hair our similar to yours. He's been recommending them (obviously) for people looking to grow out like he has as well but I 100% trust your input so am curious.

hannibalking86: Upperkut matte pomade is an amazing product

Jake Platt: Robin, can I suggest a product for your consideration and review - System Professional, Balance Energy Serum. It’s a serum for anchorage, strength and growth. My hairdresser in Australia (the best in my state by reputation) recommended it to me and I’ve found it to be incredible. Would like to hear your thoughts.

1 Da Invincible Gamer: I really appreciate your consistency

FranzJosefStraußfanboy: Your Videos literally saved my hair an my scalp. My new project is my facy and even here: Great Work!

Mo. Davari: Hey Robin. What product can I use if I only have a normal day and I want to air dry my hair but want to make it look a bit better as well? Cheers

Rafael Bajos: Try the 25 spray by the salon guy Robin, we have the same hair type I use nioxin as well for years.

Sahil Sharma: Robin, do you wash your hair with simple water everyday or only wash them when you are going to shampoo them. Thanks!

Roshdip Basnet: So after using nioxin my hair feels a bit dry on the touch so what product would you recommend for not making my hair feel dry.

Huzaif Qaisar: What do you think of The Ordinary Multi-peptide serum for hair density? Is it okay for men to use? Should we use it normally or after consulting with a doctor?

Marky Mark: question - youre no longer a fan of aveda's thickening tonic since you found the bumble and bumble line? both the aveda and 'go big' products seem like starch based products and more or less interchangeable, no?

Christopher Mitchell: I think you would like Kevin Murphy’s Easy Rider for a finish on your locks. I use it on the daily ! Peace from Nashville

Evan Terng: I do love cloud control by blumaan though my hair never felt softer

merijn valentijn: I like thuis channel. He is al good example that you don't need looks to look decent and be confident. Most girls will pick a less good looking confident guy over a handsome insecure one. He just tries to make the most out of it. Good job.

dminor88: I bought moroccan molding cream, on you recc, smells like heaven but im also in a growing out phase, and let me tell you, it dried out and got too thick for me, i thought it would feel conditioning and creamy in my hair but it turned stiff even in dry hair.

Will Mac Daddy: Loving the longer videos!!!

Jordan Thompson: Great video as always Robin!

Auto-Generated User69: As someone with a very dry scalp with only shampooing twice a week, do you recommend an argan oil to help hydrate the scalp?

Reb Tortona: I have been with you (or with your channel) ever since like your first 5 videos back when you were obsessed with using mousse (which you got me into) HAHA! But then I kinda stopped watching your videos 2 or 3 years ago but I never unsubscribed and this video is the first that I've watched in a long while. Kinda because I became lazy in styling my hair and went with wash and wear type of hairstyles. This feels nostalgic and I'm glad to be back! Also glad seeing you doing well and still being the genuine person that you are!

Naël Hajji: Hi Robin, I need your help. I am looking for a product for styling my hair with a medium hold and natural shine. I have short, thin hair in the front. I like being able to run my hands through my hair all day. Thank you very much ❤ !

david woollam: Rocking the longer hair !

Dutch Plan der Linde: Getting 80s Brosnan vibes, suits you man! I still can’t decide whether to keep growing or cut mine off to a classic sidepart

minceandcarrots1: Can you do a product review on uppercut matte pomade as I don't want to spend money if its not Robin approved.

Alex: My hair is just way too thick at the moment. Even putting in hair powder makes it pull too much. Desperately need a cut!

Victor slente: Hi Robin. I have very fine hair just like you and i think that i have a good amount of it but when i haven't showered for just 7 hours my hair gets greasy and you can see into my scalp. Then i question if i even have a lot of hair. What can i do to "preserve" how my hair looks after I get out of the shower? Thank you for all your videos, they help me so much and make me more confident about my hair.

Hussein Baghdadi: Yep, Alex Costa's silicons hair oil! :)

Marky Mark: the most honest mens lifestyle YouTube.

passthebutter3: Have you tried the brand Olaplex? Highly recommend.

Greg Heffley’s First Kiss: You should add Chase stokes to the website and if not what products would you recommend for the hair and to increase the waviness of hair. Loving the content :)

Vanessa Angrisani: I suggest look into fast hair growth fortified shampoo.

O G: That hair really suit you it look amazing bro can we get the measurements

Adam Pepper: Where is the vest from? ive been looking for a classic looking one like that forever!

liquid sword: Have you tried ADH dry?

Jim Murphy: Great stuff, thanks for sharing

Last Hope: Please do an Alex Costa hair products review since he also came out with argon oil

huhndaking777: robin i love you and the long hair suits you just fine, BUT i think its time u actually got a haircut ♥

Julien B: Hey Robin, (i'm one of your french followers) I just wanted to let you know that the background just behind you in the video was a bit too dark and i could hardly see your hair ! Otherwise thanks for the advices!

Josh Portnoy: Thoughts on Its a 10? I keep seeing rave review about the leave on hair conditioner

Kamil_022: With this hair you really remind me of Benedict Cumberbatch from Sherlock

Sultan Qaybalıyev: There are too many hair styling products.Gel, wax, pomade, clay, cream, paste, mousse and etc.İ can not understand differences among them. Can you help, sir? Please.İ bought wax.But i do not know what to buy next time. Please help, brother

Patrick Kenworthy: God your hair really is goooooooals

Ahmed Nawaf: Been watching ur vids since ur how to use mousse tutorial, how different u looked back then.

Robin James: Find your next hairstyle here: https://manforhimself.com/mens-hairstyles/

Km H: my man!!!!! waiting for sth concerns with hair from ur channel these days

1 Da Invincible Gamer: I have been with you from when you uploaded the how to use wax video

Dhruv Gupta: Please review mamaearth ( most popular brand in india)

iPandaKing: Envious of your ability to style your hair in both directions... If I go in the opposite direction to the way mine wants to sit I look like Jimmy Neutron

Mathias Vibeto: Maybe i should try using a claylike product, although i got fine hair From what i know... Clay is more for people with thick hair, and paste for thin / fine hair?

Jeff Lear: Like your web content and info for years... but two suggestions.... #1: Do not stand in front of a dark clothes rack... your hair disappears into it... #2 in those years I have been following you... you just cannot do justice to the moustache... give it up.. would look better without

Sahil Sharma: Robin, you forgot me :(. I told you to do a tutorial on your current hairstyle.

GG Sinl: Whens the hair tutorial coming in robin !!

Tanmoy khan: My favourite youtuber

John Dennis Fajardo: Do the manbun Robin!!

Alexander Carlson Lee: Been here since 2016

Simon Hernandez: You looked like Harry Styles there for a second! 6:57

E - CHY: Thanks man! Today I’m almost going to by an argan oil!

Jefferson Davis: I use the Alex Costa reference

John Richard: It's not touching your hair, it's all the products you put in it. I'm finding it hard to believe you have greasy hands.

safaru Hair growth update: Bro man bun hair style video please

Eliran Erel: Uppercut clay? Really? Not a home brew or a good salon product? You recommended lockhart's and shear revival and now suddenly you recommend uppercut? Credibility just went down the drain mate.

Modern Muse: Stop touching your hair Robin

Tb Altaf: Robin, do a man bun

Aniket Saharan: when r u going to do Q&A video?

Danny04 G: Please please please no more hairstyles video till you cut your hair. Quarantine is done and so are your subscribers..

Royal Eagle: Looks like Richard Sapogov

Ronan Fitzgerald: mick jaggers back

FranzJosefStraußfanboy: d
