Today I'm bringing you my new short messy quiff tutorial. It's a bit of a hair transformation! We've gone back to David's salon to get a fresh cut. Hope you enjoy this hairstyle tutorial. I don't go short often, so it's a nice change!

Today, I'm saying goodbye to my longer hair and embracing the shorter messy quiff. I know I've been rockin the shorter quiff and a couple of my latest videos now, but I wanted to show the transformation as well. We'Ve seen medium to longer length. Hairstyles dominate the past couple of years, and I'm gon na make a bit of a prediction and say that 2018 will be the year that shorter hairstyles make a bit of a comeback. I'Ll always have love for the longer under cut hairstyles for sure, but it's been really nice to switch things up and take on something different as you'll see towards the end. David takes off a ton of hair, so for now he's starting by just cutting straight into it and removing a couple of inches of hair all across the top. For now it's about removing the length, then we'll get into thinning and adding texture, and if you still don't know by now, david is offering 15 % off at his salon, david Rosman, for bloom on viewers. As always, bloom uncom is the place to be at this point. David has removed a majority of the bulk that needed to go and now he's drying everything down. That said, we're not finished just yet. Next up, it's all about thinning, thinning and more thinning. My hair builds up a ridiculous amount of bulk and, since I'm going for a messy textured finish, David is cutting into my hair and making everything much much lighter for the sides, I'm not going nearly as short as I usually do. Normally I go from a1 at the bottom, but for the colder weather we decided to leave a little extra length to fit in with the season. It'Ll still look really clean and tidy, just not as short as I normally go, and since this is not an undercut. My sides in FAC are being blended into the top there's, not a sharp disconnect like I would have if I were having an undercut hairstyle razor time to make everything. Look real pretty, and here you go. You can see just how much hair David got rid of. So much that he sent me to work to clean it all up, and yes, this is an actual thing that we did from here. I took over to finish off the hairstyle original by bloom on, as always for that texture providing pre styler in damp hair and next up is the blow-dry, and I know I've said it before. But I'll say it again. Styling short hair is a dream compared to longer hair, no need for tools like brushes or combs. Just use my fingers ruffle everything up and it's pretty much as easy as that finishing it off with some hybrid cream clay, and I will have a tutorial coming up on my channel for this hairstyle. So, even though it looks pretty straightforward, I've got a couple tricks up my sleeve on how you can elevate and make this hairstyle look its best, so make sure that you stay tuned for that. You

Max Kent: i rock the long undercut, i shave the sides and back to a 1 or 2 and my top can be styled many ways. since it all hangs half way down my neck, i can rock the parted hair, all pulled over like gnash , a kind of slick back or tying it all back in a lower set bun. i have always found it easier styling longer hair
