“A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.”

-Luke 6:45

Something I've always encouraged. The people around me to do is to do different, don't get caught up in a state of monotony, but lately I feel like I've deprived myself from my own advice and the way I create the way I work and the way I go about life on a Day to day basis, so today I've challenged myself to do different. You know, so what better way to kick it off and by buzzing my own head all right. Well, hope there it is, and there it goes feels good feels. Good authenticity is something I feel has been much forgotten, even in myself in my own life shaving, my head wasn't necessarily something I wanted to do just because it's fun and it's cool, but it's the start of getting myself back to a state of truth for a While now I've been actually finding myself creating content from a state of scarcity, rather than from a state of sincerity, you know saying, what's really on my heart. The other day I was having a conversation with my wife about arrogance and, in my opinion you could look at someone who say is overly confident and you can think to yourself that guy is probably you know, very arrogant right and then, on the other end of The spectrum you can look at someone who's very insecure and, in my opinion you can say the same exact thing. You know that that insecure Pierce and the reason why he's so insecure is because he's so focused on himself in the way that he looks to other people that he allows it to consume him. And then he becomes he dams up and he becomes very timid, shy and secure so much so that he can't ever fully be himself. So me personally, I feel like there's a very broad spectrum of arrogancy and just recently I feel, like I've discovered that I've been living on that opposite side. I'Ve been that very insecure dude. That has definitely shown signs of arrogance so worried about the way I portray myself to others the way I look in front of others how cool my content is making sure I get this many likes and not just all that mess buzzing. My head has been kind of like a restart for me, like an initiation towards my new self and the person who I want to strive to be from here on out buzzing, my own head, it's something that I've always wanted to do. I mean you guys this, but it's always terrified me not just because of how I might look, but because you know that that fear of losing subscribers or losing viewers, because I'm the hair guy, you know, I'm the hair guy with my own hair brand selling hair Products, you know my whole life and way of living has just been built around this hair thing, but me, reacting at a scarcity has put me in a mine state of arrogance. You know I'm just thinking about myself, so all I want to do right now is just give back to a state of authenticity, authenticity right now. It'S everything the other day when I shaved my head for this video, the clips that you see in this video. That was like four or five days ago, but when I did that it's funny, man like it freed me up like in a spiritual way like and it kind of like in a physical way to when I started waking up in the mornings and going about my Day, I noticed that all the sudden I wasn't looking in the mirror so much anymore. My primary focus right when I wake up is my wife, my life, you, you know making content for you and it's kind of cool, because it's a much-needed switch up in my life right now. I almost look at it as a fast from hairstyling from focusing so much on myself. My looks my appearance not that that stuff is bad, but sometimes we can make these physical attributes top priority and we can make them more important than the stuff that really matters in life but anyways enough of the deep talk. If you clicked on this video to gain some sort of motivation to get a buzz cut yourself, it's not as bad as you think it really isn't. I was so scared beforehand of going for the buzz cut, but once I did it, man like it felt just so freeing like I did it, I achieved it I felt accomplished, and on top of that, like I, I think it actually looks pretty good. I think that people get so scared of trying something new and something so drastic and feeling like they're gon na just look absolutely horrible, but in all honesty I've yet to see someone who looks bad with a buzz cut. That'S just me personally, but it's just getting over that hump of fear and just in just going for it. Ultimately, you know if you're contemplating you know whether you should get a buzz cut or not live a little on the edge dude step outside of your box. A little bit everything's gon na be okay, you know, have some fun, that's the great thing about hairs that magically grows back, so don't take yourself so serious that it give that day, dude! No! Never! That'S that good! All right! I think we're good all right. I apologize it's kind of messy back there, but all right well, better. Now before I head out, I do want to acknowledge the fact that I will be growing out my hair again. So no worries you guys. There will be lots of hair videos in the future, but now since I'm basically starting from scratch here, I want to take advantage of this opportunity and get my hair to its most healthiest state. It'S ever been and, as most of you know here at Shibui just got through releasing our black clay shampoo and our black clay, conditioner, which I am ecstatic about. You know it's been a long time coming. Creating these products, our goal since the beginning, was to create a luxurious, shampoo and conditioner that really benefits your hair and the best way possible. We included some really awesome ingredients such as black clay, charcoal rosemary aloe vera, biotin vitamins, and the list goes on honestly. If you want a shampoo, that's gon na cause us less damage as possible. Black clay shampoo is gon na, be your go-to and then the conditioner will not only leaving your hair just smelling amazing, but it will also leave it volumize thicker smoother. So I use these two products, probably every one to two days, just depending on how dirty my hair is and then in between those days, I go ahead and use the activating oil cleanser, which works like a gentle hair, wash stripping away only excess dirt and excess Oil, I also use this after every gym session and my hair never gets damaged. As for hair product, I've been definitely not using ocean clay right now, because it's just my hair's too short, it's not gon na work efficiently. However, ocean sea salt spray is great for shorter hair because it helps protect your hair from the sun's harmful UV rays, and that's really it man. This is a very simple and effective method to keep your hair at its strongest and healthiest state. Thank you. Sw3t Filth: i feel like dre could rock any hairstyle he wanted to

Alec Westerbur: "I wasn't looking in the mirror as much." That hit home with me. I have contemplated getting a buzzcut myself. It is so easy to get way too concerned with how you look, instead of emphasizing the improvement of your character and being authentic. God bless you Dre!

Quailos: I buzzed my long, curly hair recently and at first I was worried about a number of things, my hairline, my head shape not being good for the cut, etc; But I didn’t let my insecurities get in my way. And I realized that I had nothing to be insecure about. If you’re looking to buzz your head, do it. Don’t let your insecurities get in the way

Gunther Da Great: Inspiring!

006 mafia: It looks dope on your head and face shape.

mynamefrank: You actually look amazing with this cut, I buzzed my hair off like a week ago and I love it, my hair was thick and hard, probably really damaged, I really love not having to worry about how my hair looks, not having to style this impossible hair, I used to be scared of putting/taking shirts off because it would mess with my hair, I still feel this sometimes and I'm relieved when I remember I don't have to worry about it

SAHASTRAJIT SINGH: Man I'm afraid you've started a new movement. Ive always been super insecure about me losing hair...so i decided to live at the edge and just buzzed it all off. Touchwood ....ever since then..my hair has grown and it's doing great. Sometimes , you need to go into a zone , let things fall apart until they fix them back in place. You own this cut brother. Trust me.

Cisko: I buzz my head every New Year. It’s a way to put all the bad times behind me and start fresh. I really do get where you’re coming from.

wingwmn217: My wife just gave me a buzzcut, Dre, and I gotta say I am surprised I love it so much! And have gotten so many compliments already. Wanted to thank you so much for the motivation to do something like this. It actually wasn't my first intention but you know, being at home and without a pro hairdresser it was just hard not to and tbh we just went with it and yes. Honestly, was a very spiritual and cathartic thing. It took a lot of courage and it's a thing that makes you feel less fear and to live with less attachments. If I could do this, I could do anything :) God bless.

Vagabond: I had incredibly long curly hair, I just cut my hair down to a buzz cut after realizing that I’ve only had this haircut for the sake of meeting other people’s standards. I took a pair of clippers and without even worrying about fading, edging it up, I cut it all off. Now it does feel odd and I haven’t seen the shape of my head for years, but I’m happy that I did it. It’s a first step in changing how I do things.

NovaxRed: Bro, this is literally the first video I've seen of your's and I gotta say, every point you made is exactly why I shaved my head. Not only was it to be freed, but I also did it because I have extremely thick straight red hair. My health was at risk because of how much product I had to use just to make it look even partly decent. Such a burden has been lifted from my shoulders bro. Love ya man ❤

Eli Veal: Anyone can rock any hairstyle they want. It’s about the confidence in which you exude to the people around. You are the person you want to be but you have to believe it.

Travis Tomson: shaved my head about two weeks ago, i was in the middle of growing my hair out but i was in a slump and needed a change and then definitely helped me get back on the right path, and it looks a lot better then i thought it would on me, your hair looks great buzzed though my guy

Kabir Ahmed Campwala: Hey Dre! I got a buzzcut probably two years ago. I remember watching your videos and you're always saying “do something different trends are temporary”. So I thought of getting a buzzcut and got it. Now I am planning to grow my hair longer than I usually do. And I was the first one to get an undercut and people made fun of my hairstyle, but now they're rocking undercut.

Enrique V: I totally agree! I had long hair up to my top lip and decided to buzz it up. I was insecure, but I realized that go out of your comfort zone. Friends, cousins, didn’t like the cut, but I told them to go out of your comfort zone but they don’t want too. I feel like people try to compare themselves to others, but please I encourage you to try new things!

Cow Bro: Hi!! Just wanted to say this is really motivating, I think this is the change I’ve been looking for and that explanation of arrogance was so true. Thank you!

rub: I always buzz my hair every summer, might have to go different and do it in December! Thanks for always putting out high quality content

cody: i buzzed my own head back in december. i remember before that i wasnt feeling that good about myself, and let others comments take control of me. after i cut it, it took awhile to get used to. but after awhile i really started to focus on who i was and what i am meant for. i dont have a buzzcut anymore, but during that time i really got closer to myself and found great things. love your vids man :)

Jakov: Wow, great video and a great content from you lately. I learned a lot from this video! Thank you Dre!

Jonah Fuhriman: Holy moly, just buzzed mine as well. thank you for the inspiration and encouragement to do it. Been meaning to for a while. Your video's are amazing, keep doing what you're doing!

Shahjahan Mir: YASSS so proud of you furthering your growth and being yourself <33

Caleb Ford: Didn’t see this coming, but now it feels like you’ve always rocked this look. Definitely pulling it off man! Inspirational

David: Grew up with a buzz cut, but began growing my hair out freshman year. That was nearly a decade ago. I was very attentive towards my hair, styling it every day. Constant product and blow drying started to recede the sides, where the box sits. I was on the fence of buzzing such for months, and finally conceded last month. For the first week, I regretted it. My widows peak is strong, so it looked like an upside down triangle. Lol. But as time has passed, I have been thankful for the change. My hair feels healthier. It’s easier to manage and maintain. As you said, I can apply more time towards more important matters in life. The buzz cut has stood the test of time for a reason. It always looks good, and it’s simple. If you are considering such, I say go for it. Glad I had.

Beats By flozzart: I used to Buzz my Hair all the time a few years ago but I've been growing it Out For the past 2 years. Even though it Looks really good the way it is I'm thinking about doing the buzzcut again Just for the super fresh Feeling you mentioned and the comfort that goes along with the buzzcut

Ondřej Novotný: I know the feeling you described... the same thing for me did colouring my hair and then not caring about it growing out. I'm still goin'. I do not care about what people think about me anymore. I also feel free from the mess in my head.

Kyle Chetty: Did the same thing at the beginning of the year. I strongly relate to the message in this video And you rock the buzz dude

Nicholas Tucci: Dre, I’ve been watching your videos for a long time my man. Recently, the idea of joining the military has became more and more of a process than a thought for me. The thing was, I had long curly, wavy hair. Imagine Russ, and take his hair and put it on my head. Almost 2 years now I’ve been growing it out. The thought of joining the military and everything that came with it didn’t scare me, it was the cutting my hair part. I know, I know... sounds ridiculous. I’ve never been fond of the way my hair was and finally I found it, but I didn’t find what made me happy in life. I was terrified of cutting it all off and changing who I was, I put so much of my personality into my hair. Today, I took a buzz and cut it all off. You’ve inspired me and helped me take the leap of cutting it before i let somebody else do it. I appreciate you bro, keep rocking.

Yan Kai Tan: keep it up dre, i really love ur content and ur inspirational speech never fails to motivate me

Musicy Loaf: I watched this before giving myself a haircut for the first time. I feel great now, thanks. The cut looked very nice too.

Sandip Peshawaria: Hey bro! I just wanted to say the video content was great and so is your buzz cut!! I've always wanted to go for a buzz as well and one day I just went ahead..like you said it felt great not worrying about hair. My best wishes to you as always and keep inspiring! Love and respect Sandip

Anthony Mendez: Great video brother. Gave me more confidence and made me think a lot. Im not buzzing my head but I’m currently challenging myself to grow out all my hair, it’s something I’ve always wanted to try out but never did because of criticism and so so. Now is that time I want to do something I wanted to do in so long!♥️

khai Ngyn: You inspired all of us man, thank you. Dre! And happy thanksgiving to you and your family :D

Greg Coppens: Great video and you nailed it for me its what I am going through and what I am doing. I buzzed my head and it looks great and now I am free. Thank you

Nehcim Senpai: Thank you Dre, this is a great message! doing a buzz cut rn B)

SUBIN: Going buzz is the most liberating feeling ever, at least for a self obsessed person

jose arechiga: just buzzed my hair for the first time.....and im totally digging it!!! I was so scared but zero regrets.

Raaghavendra K Ra: I buzzed my head 18 months back ever since it changed my entire behaviour of mine the way I interact with people the amount of confidence I gained most importantly my hair became so healthy than it was before . Believe me you wont be disappointed at all

ribert rivera: This was so accurate since my buzz cut I’ve notice living life instead of worrying about hair out how it looks

ItzDavo: Appreciate the honesty bro! All of your content really inspires people probably more than you know! Hope all is well my man! Blessings

Sebastian Rendtslev Vendelbjerg: Thank you so much! Just shaved everything, and you were right.. I had the best feeling afterwards!

buzz mcbuzzed: The buzz cut looks absolutely phenomenal on you!!

Sandae Chan: Proud of you for putting yourself out there man. I really think that shaving your head could make your head feel lighter, not only physically but mentally as well.

stardusty: Mind blown! Never thought about my insecurities as a form of arrogance, I shaved my head 2 months ago and first week was so releasing, I didnt care about my hair anymore, once it started to grow again the obsession starts again

DannluAble: Thanks for the video! Thanks to you I got that last push to go for a buzz cut... Reseting myself to the new beginning

Tiago Gonçalo Raposo: Its insane how good your vídeos are now realy well edited, it must take alot from you to make them, im sure everyone has notice that. Take care Dre

Agent007H: After 14 months of Hair growing ,,, I did it finally.. first time I have ever done this and it's cool it's also good to have new hair without these frizzy kinda dead hairs .

J Rico: Great video brotha! I like the honesty man and glad you went out of your comfort zone! Something I did before I went all buzzed cut and didn’t like it one bit because I always thought my forehead was too big but ended up liking it and even better I don’t have to fix my hair! Keep it up brotha much love!

Based: Love a buzz cut, feels nice asf and looks pretty good on most of us

Elio Di minica: what’s crazy is i can really see the difference in you as a person after cutting it. i find you really great to watch now and i love the mindset you’re in man! keep it up bro im 100% buzzing mine now

StraightFlush: What I really like about you, is that you always try new things and you are open to change your looks and appearence. Unlike other Hair YouTubers like BluMaan, who would never have the balls to shave his head. Great move!

Sylas viper: I’ve done this a couple times. Mostly did clean shave to bald. My hair was about 20cm the first time I did it. Then I had a mullet and shaved it again, then a Mohawk, shaved it. I kinda keep shaving my hair for every new hair cut. It’s really helped my hair grow the way I want it.

Zac: I came here to figure out whether or not I want to buzz my hair, but I got an entire philosophy about doing so. So glad I came. You seem like a down to earth, dope dude. Thank you.

aman kumar: This is the 3rd time I am watching this video. Thank you for posting and talking about it ♥️. Dre I just buzz cut my hair and it feels so light mentally $ physically thank you for thissssss. My parents might kill me after seeing this!

Richard Pakelman: It's happy to hear that we do buzz cut not only for the look but to start new life.

Anastasia R: I can only imagine how freeing it must have felt! I have thought about getting a buzz cut many times, but I feel like all the negative comments I would get from people around me would really make me feel bad about the decision, no matter how I actually might feel with it. As a woman, even when I only cut my hair a bit shorter I had to deal with judgement. We seem to be expected to wear our hair long...

Jan Žužek: well, i've had this on my mind for about a year and a half and i have finally did it yesterday! :D and i can agree that it is more then just a haircut

Isaac Ra: Love your vids Dre, so glad I discovered your channel a few weeks ago. Hope you have a great Thanksgiving! Will definitely be ordering some Sheh-Voo products on Friday. Best hair products I've ever used, especially the clay.

Raphael Diniz: I buzz my hair at least once every two years, or whenever I get sick of doing the whole blow dryer/pomade routine that takes up way longer than it should. It’s really liberating tbh.

Nautical Mile: Super interesting vid really made me reflect on why I’m insecure; I’m too focused on myself. I am definitely convinced to give myself a buzz cut and see if I just naturally start to focus on other more important things in my life

adham tag: Thank you for that video ! Most of your subscribers needed to watch a video like that ! Great talk and meaningful words ! It was a great decision , and you look great in the buzz cut by the way ! I am honest !

Joao H: you inspired me to get a buzzcut after having long hair all my life, and i'm loving it, thanks dre

Anth0160: Dre, you inspired me to shave my head. Which led to me discovering that hair is just one aspect of you, its so freeing that I cant put it into words other than WOW. One less thing to worry about at the end of the day, and proves I can take on whatever you put your mind to. I never had the nerve to do it until I saw this and then realized one thing, its just hair. And it's made me a more confident and initiated person than before, anyway since you have tons of comments I'll keep it short. Thank you for having the balls to do it on camera no less and being a dope ass dude encouraging us to explore looks we didnt before and also become better versions of ourselves. You're an inspiration and awesome person.

Carlos Z Flores: It’s 3:22am and I just gave myself a buzzcut..

Sam S: Need to make more mindful and motivational videos like this. Found this one super inspiring

Vikas Hakda: I can see the pain in your eyes of losing your hair dre you have lost hair been following you for 4 years now and i think you must hv felt great after that cut

Rayan Altowayan: To everyone who is on the edge about whether to buzz your head or not: my mum doesn't talk to me anymore but it sure feels nice not to do your hair in the morning anymore so just take the shaver and do it

Ajin: I was very positive about buzzing my head today and saw this video, now im feeling like im going against my insecurities .feels good

Mr Achromatic: Just shaved my head as well Dre, you gave me the inspiration. 2020 a new year a new start.

Zachary Nantz: I just stumbled on this video and indeed your channel today... And I really needed this right now. This is a great message, and I'm glad you crossed my feed. Thank you!

Humza Sheraz: This was really motivating man. It also made me understand myself a bit more. Great content bro

IntoxicVIII: I have a receding hairline also and believe me when I say it I feel 10 times better when I Buzz my head just to know that I feel it within myself to be free of judgement. Worry goes away, life feels better.

King drift: Literally just buzz cut my long hair after growing it for 2 years. I knew that I was being vain and arrogant because the hair gave me an edge. After the cut I feel like the average joe but I’m more focused on important things like diet and exercise. I knew that if I did this I can focus on my insecurities to grow stronger and if people like what they see now they would love what they see later. Nice to see I’m not the only one that thinks like this

Suepergurl: I also shaved my head recently and it felt too good :)

David Hennebach: Been rocking a buzzcut since 2009 with no regrets. It really does feel freeing, and calls more attention to your face overall. That said, I don't think getting a buzzcut counts as "drastic," but I love the way it looks on you.

Ben Taylor: Buzzed my hair for the exact same reasons, new start. Love the sincerity brother!

Keith Ferreira: Love that you did this brother. Too many hairstyle Youtubers with hair content refuse to cut their hair short or buzz cuts. Always the boring undercuts. Looks dope.

Mitch Wow: I feel like the buzz looks really good on you!

Bence Szonyi: Do not change for anyone. I had a buzz cut growing up until middle school. I felt left out and pressured into getting a slick back , and when times got rough I started going bald and all that's shit. My life was better not giving a shit tbh. Point is never change for anyone and what other people think your life will be better

Daniel: Your video made me cry bro. I thought gaining courage to buzz my head was all about the look, my hair. Watching this took it to another level. It’s time for me.

Victor Nico: Don´t be afraid tl make appropiate titles for this deep content Dre, I think the views will rise even more then! This was vulnerable, honest, and freeing content

Ryanktran: Man I’ve always rocked a buzz cut as a kid (as many other Asians) and I was so ugly lol. Now for about 5 years I’ve been rocking an undercut variation with a combover, middle part, side part, man bun, etc. to try something new, I’m going to try to grow my hair long like long long to the point to do a full man bun. I can’t do a buzz cut bc it really doesn’t fit my face shape and I’ve tried most other undercut hair styles. Wish me luck!! Ps. You’re a giant inspiration to me man, thanks a lot

Javi Sanjuán: 1 year ago I shaved my hair too because I was frustrated with my relationships and life in general and I felt like I needed a change. Although it might sound silly it kinda worked and now I'm much happier. It was a way of leaving all that shit behind

Places Unseen: We have pretty much the same bone structure so this pushed me to shave it, I like it

Potato: I've had the same mindset nerves to do something different. I have always wanted to get a buzzcut. pushing myself to get one tomorrow :)

Adrian: You look fire in a buzz cut you have the right jaw structure to pull it off. Looks amazing

Gabriel Johnson: The reason I’m getting a buzz is because I believe that I have been insecure and I care so much about what other people think and I for the same reason you do I want to change into who I want to be

Lêibør SungøH: I'm feeling it.. I'mma get my head buzzzed up. Let's Go new start , new looks So inspiring man.. Thank you for this Btw.. Your hair looks amazing dude..

Robert Trandafir: I’m getting my head buzzed today and you are a huge inspirtation! This is the first video i’ve ever seen on your channel and because of your personality i have just subscribe and will follow everything you do from now on. Great work! Keep it up! Tbh you really look like Jesse Pinkman from Breaking Bad and you also sound like him haha. All love! Take care!

Delilah Mast: I'm a woman thinking of doing this.... You inspired me a lot in this video, I think imma do it!

Yaki Kadafi: I stupidly buzzed off my hair once , I went into work and everyone was like “wtf happened to your hair?” . I didn’t want to admit it was my decision so I told them I was drunk and my friends did it as a joke lol Never again !

Yours Truly: Man you know I've had long messy hair so so long now, and insecure about things, I might give this a try

lk tiley: I recently buzzcut my hair at the beggining of summer . I too love it but I would highly recommend a skin fade on the side.

Carlos Guillen: Brooo this is fire. Appreciate the honesty. Buzzed my hair two weeks ago after having an undercut for 5 years. We’re in this journey together haha

BradBird08: Honestly of all the styles you’ve worn, this is the best. I say keep for a few months — of varying lengths. See what you think after that. Might decide you want to keep it.

mike mikey: I got a buzz cut last year, it was a very freeing and good feeling experience. Unfortunately a buzz cut doesn’t look that good on me so I’m stuck with styling my hair every morning.

Silver Lane: I did that twice. Looked great but growing my hair was the issue. My hair grows as a lion teeth flower so yeah.... 90 days of me wondering why I did it again. I'm sure you'll have a better growing process than I did tho cause I didn't know what I was doing.

ELVIS: Came here for advice on doing a good buzz cut. Not what I expected, this dude talking about life n shit

Sayed Muntazir: Ur so lucky u can rock any hairstyle btw keep makin those cool vids keep motivating us ❤

Zero Sum: I agree with everything you’ve said thus far. I’ve had the same haircut for about 4 years. I’m gonna shave my head today. Real shit. I’m glad I watched this video thank you
