Hey guys, Matt back from free salon, education, calm and I'm here to share with you a quick way to neutralize hair color. If you went to the same school that I went to, which you probably didn't, but you may have learned the same way. We have our Minnesota Vikings, we have Christmas and we have Chicago Bears. That was the way that we were taught to remember. Well, that doesn't tell us why it works and if you don't understand why it works, then you're not going to understand how to do it. So right here we have yellow hair, we neutralize it with violet. Well, why does that work? We all know that we use violet. We go right across the wheel, but why is it working the way that it's working? Well, if you have yellow hair? So let's say we use a Lightner and we lift them up to yellow. Well, all we need to do is find the missing primary color. So if we have yellow, we know those missing. Two primaries are red and blue. So if we add in red and blue, then we would have a neutral now we're not going to go to our color selection and pick out a red color and a blue color. The easiest way to do that is to grab violet red and blue together. Make violet violet is our missing primary colors put together, so that's going to neutralize yellow, don't just go across the map. Understand why you're doing what you're doing you're going to be more successful in the salon with hair color? This works for toning, anything that you're doing so. Hopefully, this little tip will help you guys when you're mixing, hair color think about where the hair is going, where it's lifting to and how you're going to neutralize it find the missing primary colors and you'll be set. Thank you guys so much. I hope this tip helped free salon. Education com follow us on Facebook at Prasad. You

B Carrera: You said the missing colors are red and blue. How are they missing?

Tuan Ngo: thankyou so much

Kelly Lisa: This way of teaching haircolor gets students and stylists in trouble. Why? R Y B creates a neutral which is a grayish neutral, in hair color a neutral is YYYRRB That makes a brown or light tan and creates the perfect foundation for all Neutrals. Another issue with this is, All color lines use a different Base. So using the proper YYYRRB is the true law of color in creating browns and light blondes with a neutral base Dont believe me? Grab some paint or play doe and try it mix YRB get result Mix YYYRRB 3 parts Y 2 parts R and 1 part B see which neutral you get.

Britt Von Strange: Art books really help too

Vanny's Hair Studio: Very nice

Alex Cronin: What is the outro I️ love it
