She has never colored her hair before but would like to go to a darker, richer tone. To achieve this, I'm going to use Katie's professional level 5 goals with 20 volume developer. This will add a gold undertone hoping to achieve a warm rich end results. Let'S begin by sectioning the hair into four standard quadrants to make the application neater begin, applying the color to the cross parting at the crown working your way to the nape repeat on the right side, section move to the front and continue working towards the hairline. Be sure to keep the hairline clean once you've completed the cross sections begin at the crown and work toward the knee. Take 8 inch diagonal subsections and apply the color just at the roots. Once the back sections have been completed, work towards the hairline finally apply color to the mid-shaft and ends making sure to fully saturate once completed will allow the color to process for 30 minutes. Kalynn Henne: You’re going darker so you should use a 10 volume since you’re depositing. And a Virgin application you start at the mid Shafts then go back and do the roots and ends

Quba Cki: If this is a virgin hair application and with a 20vol. It should be applaid 1cm away from roots first

Ashley MacDonald: Why did you use 20 volume ? She has no grey hair, and she was going darker.. 10 volume should have been used here and nothing higher. You were not lifting, you were depositing.

Alyson Pike: you’re supposed to start 1/2 inch away from the scalp actually because otherwise your client will get hot roots and that’s when your clients roots are a different color than the ends..

Ty OhMy: Are you licensed ? Don’t take it the wrong way I’m just curious

Chris: Why did you start at the root area? I've learned it to be colored last but was just curious

Mogie Hope: The dislikes are from licensed stylists! Who know this application is wrong!!!

Ruby Hampton: Hot roots?
