What'S up you guys, today's video is going to be a hair tutorial. I touched up and refreshed my bright fiery, orange and red hair color, and I wanted to show you guys how I did it since I get a million comments a day asking me what dyes. It'S the coolest thing ever basically in this video, I'm gon na show you guys how I went from this faded, peachy orange hair to this super bright and pretty fiery orange gradient, color melt or whatever you want to call it. So for the past couple of weeks my hair has been a very pastel peachy pink. There was a lot of colors going on in there, but it's very pastel and I actually liked it. I was considering leaving it for the spring, but then I saw a picture of my hair when it was like freshly colored, and I decided it was time to refresh it again. If you decide to purchase something from their site, really quick, I'm going to show you all the colors that I use to get this right here. I will show you how to mix them, but I'm just gon na run through it really quick. I used violet dream rat poison, sunset orange and cosmic sunshine, and I know it sounds like a lot of dyes to get this look when it actually fades. It faces this really cool, like melted, sherbert, color that I really really like a few things about these dyes. Obviously it's Kristin Lee Ann's brand, so it is vegan and cruelty free, like a hundred percent. They also donate, like 15 percent of their profits to stopping animal cruelty, which i think is really really amazing. The formulas are also plant-based and non-gmo and all that good stuff. So it's actually a really really cool formula. Another thing about the arctic fox formula is that there are no harmful chemicals and there's no PPD, which I know a lot of people can be allergic to PPD. It'S really cool that they don't put anything harmful in their dyes like, like you, shouldn't, have anything harmful and stuff. You sell to people, but a lot of people still so shitty stuff. You know what I mean, so it's really cool that they care about. What'S in their formula and it's an amazing formula, obviously look I like to leave it in my hair as a conditioner. It'S super hydrating. It makes my hair super shiny. I don't know if you guys didn't see if the camera picks it up the lice but um. Let me try a good old iPhone flash here and see you guys see how shiny this is and before I dyed my hair, I hadn't washed it in like a week, so you guys can see how shiny the color like look at that shine. It looks like a damn commercial right now I look like a haircare commercial from how shiny this is. Okay, I'm done so. You can't get this in ounces or a four ounce bottle. This one is very dirty. Please excuse me, it has orange all over it umm. I go through these like crazy, so I have the bigger bottles, a couple tips. I have for you guys if you're dyeing your hair red, the red color, I've noticed tends to bleed a little bit more than other colors that I've used like the yellow, doesn't bleed. The orange doesn't really bleed that much it's just the red that bleeds a little bit. It'S like, not crazy, because I've used other hair dyes and they just like I'll, take a shower and the colors go on like. Where did it go? I thought red never leaves your hair but um with arctic fox. It doesn't bleed as much as other brands that I've used and it doesn't stain okay. We need to talk about this really quick. Why does it not stain anything like I always rinse, my hair? In my sink and I'll, like rinse, the bottles out or not the bottles, the bowls in the sink and my sink is white in my bathroom and as soon as a daya's it it's just that color forever. The same was like my marble countertops, because they're like white marble, the second any dye is them they're, just that color for life, but with the arctic fox dyes, they don't stain it. I don't know how that works like how they did that. But it's amazing because it doesn't say anything and obviously, when I move out of this apartment, I'm not gon na have to pay for new sinks to be installed because my dye didn't dye anything. I think you know what I mean. So that's one thing: I love about it. Another thing, I'm just gon na pop this open. It smells like grapes what I was trying to say a second ago, some tips if you're trying to have your hair color. Last really long. I like to put some of the poison or the sunset orange colors into my conditioner and just shake it up. It will be like a pastel color, but I feel like it helps prolong the color a little bit longer. I also don't wash my hair ever. I like to wash my hair, maybe once a week, I'm I'm super lucky that my hair doesn't get really oily or greasy, or anything like that. So I can leave my hair and not wash it for like two weeks and it wouldn't even look bad or gross. It'S just what I want to style it differently that I feel like I need to wash it so wash your hair as little as possible use a cooler temperature water when you're washing your hair. That will help it stay a little bit longer and add some of the hair dye to your conditioner and those are my three biggest tips. If you're trying to make your hair color it lasts long. So I think that's all I need to say for right now. I'M gon na go ahead and switch over to a voiceover and show you guys how I actually apply the dye and mix it and all that good stuff. So, first I'm mixing my lightest shade, which is going to be a mixture of cosmic sunshine and sunset orange. I definitely add way more yellow than orange here next will be a mixture of orange plus poison, which is just a red shade, and that mixture is mostly orange with just a little bit of poison and then from my darkest shade that I put at my roots. I'M using the shades wrath and violet dream, I definitely add equal parts of the wrath and violet dream shades into this bowl, but you can see that once you mix it it just kind of looks like a darker version of wrath. The purple isn't very noticeable. So then I just mix all the shades together and make sure that they look how I want them to. I do go back in to adjust the shades as I see fit, I like to add a little bit more yellow so about the shade on the bottom. Is a little bit lighter and the shade on top is a little bit darker. This is my hair. Before a really faded, sherbert type shade. I have some peach pink and purple going on in there anyways getting into the hair dye, I'm taking the darkest mixture that I made and I'm going to be putting that on the roots of my hair and dragging it down a little bit. This is my mixture of wrath and violet dream I like to have the darkest shade at my roots, just because my actual roots are growing in, and this helps cover them and kind of blend them in with the rest of the color Mountain. So I start by adding this directly to my root and then I brush it down a couple inches with my brush and, as I start to add the other shades into my hair you'll be able to see where the color milk comes in. So I'm just going around my whole head and making sure that my entire roots are covered. It is a little bit tricky for me to do the back of my hair, but to be honest with you, I'm not too precise with the hair color application. So I don't use a mirror, I just guess - and I put it all over my roots and just kind of feel around, and it always turns out pretty good, so I can't complain. I also never wear gloves when I dye my hair with arctic fox colors, because they never stay and they just wash off with soap and water. So next I'm going in with that mixture of sunset, orange and poison. This is the color that I use on the majority of my hair, so I'm going over the edges of where I laid down the darkest shades and then I'm gon na go all the way down my hair towards the ends just leaving a little bit of hair. A couple inches to add that light shade at the end and as you guys can see I like to brush down on the hair first and then I flip it over and brush, underneath it as well just to make sure all the strands are covered. Last I'm going in with the yellow and orange mixture, so this is sunset orange and cosmic sunshine, and at this point I just use my hands because I am going to be going back and forth with a few of the shades. So you can see here. I added some of the light shade to the end and I'm just going through and making sure each strand is coated and full of dye. I'M also running my fingers up the edges, adding some more of the shades in between. If I feel like, I needed a little bit more coverage and then I like to rub my fingers through my hair and just make sure everything is well coated, so I'm just going to do that all over my head and make sure I've got everything covered once I'M pretty much done and happy with the way it looks, I'm going back in with the leftover dyes that I have and I'm just going to saturate the hair even more because it's basically like a conditioning treatment. So I'm gon na leave this on. For about an hour and then I'm just gon na go rinse it out with cold water. So just to remind you guys, this is what we were working with before, and here is the after. So freakin vibrant, like are you kidding all right? So this is how my hair turned out. It looks so good, so as I continue to wash my hair like once a week, this down here will fade to a little bit more of that yellow color that I put in it. I love how it turned out. I dyed my hair extensions a couple weeks ago using the arctic fox tattoo, so I can't wait to put in my extensions and see how cool it looks with the color refreshed. So I just rinse this out. I did not wash my hair after I didn't use shampoo or conditioner. This is literally just rinsing it out and getting out of the shower and then styling it. This is what it looks like my hair is so soft, so that is gon na, be it for this hair tutorial. You guys, I hope you enjoyed having me, show you how I get this fiery orange red color. BlackThornRose127: I like Artic Fox and I do use it on clients for certain looks and for those who request it, but I find that it does bleed onto the rest of the hair when rinsing and shampooing, making it difficult and sometimes impossible to do visible color melts or different patterns with various complementary colors. Like you can see the red bled down and pretty much covered up all that yellow, turning it orange, which is kind of a waste of dye. If that’s the look you’re going for that’s great, but then there’s really no reason to create a tricolor blend to begin with if that’s your goal end result.
aazhikwe waagosh: As far as my own hair goes, I only use the Poison color on my head. My hair will bleed in the shower like crazy, but it takes me 3 months before it even starts to fade. It’s WILD. No touch ups, just regular hair routine and I only use color treated formula shampoo - everything else is just plain organic conditioner. It’s wild.
