Hello, everyone and welcome back to my channel today. It'S all gon na be about here again. This is going to be a video on how I color my hair at home. I have got like a long to my life. They be coloring. My hair, I've been coloring. It they started coloring, my hair, when I was about five or six, they started perming, my hair. When I was 18 months, I'm gon na show you a picture of me when I was about 18 months and my hair was perm there do. I know I don't know why you do that today, 18 month old, but they did it to my hair. I have got like most of my life. They'Ve been coloring, my hair, I've been coloring it and I've always done it at home, except one time when I went to the salon - and I hate it, what they did is so I went back to doing it myself if you like these kind of videos, fashion, Beauty, lifestyle, luxury and styling, and today it's not gon na, be about hair again, and you want to see how I color my hair and what I use then. Please keep worries anyway. I have always colored my hair myself. I have not gone to actually gone to a hair salon in over 20 years, so I cut my hair myself. I color my hair myself, so I'm not a salon professional but I would say I'm an at-home haircare professional. So if you like, these kind of videos, fashion, beauty, lifestyle, luxury, styling and today it's about hair, coloring and you're, not a subscriber. Please hit the subscribe button right down there and the bell notifications so that you're alerted when I upload a new video. Like I said today, it's gon na be all about hair coloring. I have two different items that I have used on my hair, probably over the last 20 years. This one is L'Oreal cream excellence, and this is in color number. I just look for the picture: nine and a half in B. That is the color that I usually use on my hair, and this kind of shows you if you start out with a brown what it lightens it to a darker blond, what it lightens to if you have light blonde and what it lightens it to so. This is kind of an indicator of before and what you can get out of this now. What I'm using now, though, which I do like better, because I think that it is a little easier on my hair, and that is L'Oreal again, I don't know why it's different. This is superior preference fade defying a color shine system, and this really is my favorite right now. Here again, are the colors before and after all, the way from at the bottom, a brown, how lighten, how it lightens it medium blonde and then light blonde and what you can get out of it. I my natural color is probably in between these two colors, so it is not super light, but it's not dark dark either, and I really like the color I get out of this. This is really easy. On my hair, this one tended to dry it out a little bit more, which is why I quit using it, but I've got this left. I just didn't use it because I started using this instead, so anyway, I do love it. This is what I'm using, and this is the color that I get out of it. It kind of gives I'm not sure why it looks as if it is got a two-step process on it like I've, darkened it underneath and then lightened it or strictly to the top. I don't. This is the color that I get and as all use now, what I do is I never pull it all the way through ever, and I know you're supposed to do that, every like fourth or fifth application, I'll step back a little bit. I color my hair. Every five to six weeks they say that you can do it every three to four weeks, but because I lift it so high lifting which is bleaching or putting a Lightner on it. I lift it so high that the chemicals pretty harsh and I don't want to burn my hair or have it split and start to break off, which I don't have, because I think the way that I treat it now. I don't know if you've ever colored your hair at home, but if you haven't, but this is what you do, if you've never done it before so I'm going to show you the first thing that I do with the product is you have a step one and Then you have a step two. You want to take out the one and dig out the two pour the two into the one right. This is kind of an oily, listen see. This is a white cream consistency and you take the top off. You pour the two into the one, and then you put the lid back on cover up the hole if it has been taken, this has been taken off and then you shake it so that it's fully combined. I start with the front of my hair right here down into right around the ear and I fully saturate first this area here. Why? Because when you pull your hair back like if you're gon na put your hair up in a messy bun or if you're, just gon na pull it back - and this is the area I feel gets a seen the most - this is the area that people see right Off your face, and you want that to be really really colored. Well, if you know what I mean, if you've got grey coming in or if you have a roots that have come in, you want that to be the brightest or the lightest is the most color that you've got on your skin. The longer you leave it on the more your hair is going to lift or color, and you want that area to me. For my opinion, you want that area to be gotten first. So that's what I do. I just put that on first and soak that in really work it in and work it backwards. I do that on this side really work it in and then I go to the part and I will take whatever my natural part, the lay of my natural part, which is kind of to the side. I'Ll start there and I work it in then I'll. Take the tip and I'll move my hair with the tip. Do you see what I'm doing? I move the hair with the tip right and I'll do that throughout my hair? I do I never fully saturate my hair. I'Ve done that a couple of times it has the the color is permanent, so it's not like this is going to fade, or this is going to turn and the original color again. Do you see what I mean? That'S why you've got people that over process their hair as they pull the color through all the way through? I never do that. You will. I will leave this on for up to 30 minutes, but most of my hair has no color on it. Then I get into the shower, then I start to let the water run through my hair and then this sort of suds up a little bit and I'll work it all through my hair. That'S when I pull the color through all the way down to the tips, and then I rinse it once you get all of the product, all the hair color out of your hair, then you will put on I'm looking for a got this. I got all my stuff here, then you pull out this conditioner, and this is your gold after you have fully rinsed the product out of your hair, which again it's after 30 minutes of letting it set for me, then you'll take this as a cream, conditioner and I'Ll use about 1/3 of this, that's all, and then I work that into my wet hair in the shower I'll work it in make sure that it fully saturates my entire head all the way to the tip. Then I leave it in for 2 minutes. Then I rinse that off fully rinse that off this is really all I need after I color my hair is this cream conditioner, and this is step 3. I didn't tell you that that step 3. That'S it that's what I do to curl in my hair. I don't ever pull it all the way through. I just try to get maybe an inch width in the part next to the scalp I do across the front or in the front first so that it is on the longest so that it lifts the most, and I try never ever ever, to go higher than Nine and a half Envy for me. I love it. When I go up to ten there's a 10 number on this, the preference and on the excellence they both have a 10, it's really pretty on, but it burns my hair. So I never go any higher than 9 and B are not in happening to be. Excuse me, so that's how I color my hair. I do I've been doing this with this product for probably thirty years, and what I did back in high school is. I didn't use hair color, but I use sunny and I don't even can you get Sun Inn anymore? I sprayed go out in the Sun and it bleaches out and it really bleaches it don't use Sun in if they still have it because it fries your hair. So that's it. I have. I have color treated hair. I don't like it much darker than this. My natural color is probably a very light brown or a dishwater blonde, and so I like it light. So that's what I do. I keep it. I keep it light when I go to a salon. When I went to a salon about 25 years ago, they were trying to get me to, and they did this once were they darkened my hair and then they put streaks in it or highlights all over it. Hated it hated the way that looked on my hair. I want it blond, so I went back to doing it myself. So I hope you guys like these kind of videos, these do-it-yourself DIY, do it at home kind of videos. Again, I've got my amazon sweater on I'll link it below. I think it's beautiful. I had it on in the last video and where I was showing my hair care products, but I've got it on today because I'm doing these videos both back-to-back, I want to show you the black one in case you didn't see it before. I love them. So much I got to share them, they're really high-quality and I think really study. Alright. Thanks so much for tuning in and I'll talk to you later bye, you

JenniferLoves: Hope everyone is having a wonderful week. https://rstyle.me/+mjzRwYqJLugxdPiFUuq-NA is the color I use. Hope this help. Xx Jennifer

KathysBeautyCareChats: Yes!! I just discovered that about the sides! And I’m coloring it today! Loved this and I’m gonna use your method! Love you gorgeous!!

MaryEllen After 60: Oh, the photo of you at 18 months is adorable!!! Your hair is so healthy, and full Jennifer! I think you are a professional at coloring your own hair!! Until the last few years, I always colored my hair at home. Looks like I might be doing it again, so I appreciate the tips. Blessings, and love, my Midwest sister..MaryEllen

Moi Maris: I love the hair color. It’s not to warm and not to cold. Exactly what I’m looking for

Melody of Psalm 94: Some years ago, I was apprenticing with a local hairdresser. I asked her which brand of box dye is closest to the salon brands. She told me, L'Oréal the very best box dye to use if you are going to dye your own hair. I've been using it ever since.

Ebeth G: Just decided to put Loreal 9.5NB into the search box and found you! Awesome! I have been using 9.5 for about 14 years and because I keep up my roots many people tell me they thought it was my natural shade. I also have naturally light brows and lashes because my natural shade is strawberry blonde. Thank you for the advice about not pulling the color through. I've been doing that and I have trouble hiding the damage. Won't anymore!

Amelia Sharma: Great informative video. I like your tip about starting at the front of your face. I’m also a blondie with naturally darker blonde hair. It’s darkened as I’ve gotten older so I dye it now. The light blonde I feel instantly makes you look more youthful and best suits us ladies with blue eyes. Great video! ❤️

Kim Smith VINOLOLA: Hey Beautiful!!! You know how I feel about your gorgeous mane!!!! Great job at doing it yourself and helpful tips for the newbies!! Love ya bunches!!!

Nathalie TheBeautyDiva: Good Morning my Gorgeous Diva Sista, thank you sooooo much for this video, given these unprecedented times, I am going to have to color my own hair for the very first time in my life, this was so helpful, God bless your beautiful heart. Loved the pic with your little perm lol. Yes, I was one who used Sun-In in my teens, I thought that stuff was the best lol, and yes it did dry the crap out of my hair lol. Happy Easter! Love ya heaps! Hugs, Nathalie xoxo

My Pretty Everything: It looks gorgeous!

shootthestars-down: I loved this video! So informative and enjoyable! Got yourself a new subscriber ❤️

Melody of Psalm 94: OMG...thank you for the info! i tried the 9N L'Oreal superior preference, and it is wonderful. You are so right! It does the job, without frying your hair...Thank you sooooo much!

TheGrayLatte: Good Morning Gorgeous Jennifer! Your child pic is precious don't feel bad my Mom was a cosmetologist & always gave me perms when I was younger lol!oh I wish I could do my roots myself, you explained it so well, I enjoyed this so much, I do remember Sun In lol! Your hair is stunning, so thick & healthy, thank you so much Jennifer & I need to order that Amazon sweater you showed it in your last video, it has been so cool here! Sending love & hugs~Xx Karen

Jackie Filakosky: That is exactly what I do. Have been doing mine for about 30 years and yes I used that HORRIBLE sun in and got a perm. It took years for my hair to be normal again.

HappinessSparkles !!: Good morning Jennifer ,your colour is gorgeous,as is your hair ,I do my hair at home about every six weeks I use clarol nice n easy and I rarely take it through to the ends I apply mine the same way as you do and I always tell people to ONLY use the conditioner not shampoo . Tonya Carey: How do u reach the back? To color

IL-PT_by_2D: If I want to got my hair with color like you have there, I must firstly bleach it (also roots?) and then use the loreal on the bleached hair?

JeanneMarie68: Do you do your own highlights or just using box dye? Jeanne

Max It Up with Marta: Hi Jennifer, I use the same brand. But I want to get a lighter shade. I use the one with Keratin, I thought it was supposed to be better.....hmmmm.....maybe I should try the one you are using. I never pull it through all the way either. I might want to try the one you use.

El Güero: Beautiful blond hair

IsabelaMmus: The 3rd one how many times do u use it or u don’t anymore?

Love you! XOXO

Poor Love: Your so beautiful and I love you hair color so much it’s so beautiful . I don’t know why I dye my hair and never change the color so should I put bleach on my hair or not.? I am a little scared of bleach because l don’t want to lose my hair after.
