Hello, everyone. I am lisa the indian mommy today i am going to color my hair. The color that you see on my hair is from the last time i colored it was five months ago and the color is still on pretty good huh. So today i'm going to color again i have got black roots that i want to cover up now and also i have got premature, gray, hair that i got since i was 15 years old and i want to cover that up as well. I hope this color is good and helps me with that. I have got l'oreal paris casting cream gloss conditioning color. It is in shade 550 mahogany, it's a very pretty color and the packaging is pretty basic as well. We have got a cream colorant and a developer. Also got a conditioner to wash off. We have also got an instruction page need to read it very carefully before starting. There are two methods of coloring. If we are coloring for the very first time, we need to wet our hair. First, not dripping wet but pat dry. If we are just coloring the roots, we can do it on dry hair. Now, let's get started. We also got a pair of plastic gloves. We need to mix the colorant with the developer. We need to mix it very well. We can cut the tip, i wet my hair off camera and i have to brush my hair nicely, so there is no tangle in there. Let'S start i am starting from my roots in the front. I will be working my roots first and then i will be moving towards the back. It'S really easy to apply on wet hair, then on dry hair. I can apply evenly it's a bit messy, but yeah. Applying on weight here is really easy. I will be working on my tips now massage thoroughly on your head. I am done and the application is quite even and was really easy. I will let it sit for 30 minutes now time to wash off. I will not shampoo. I will wash off with warm water and then apply this conditioner okay. So, let's see my hair looks dark. I really don't see any color on my hair, so my previous hair color is gone, but i don't see any color on my hair. It also has covered up my gray hair pretty nicely. So that's a good thing. I will have to wait until my hair is dry to see the color. Let me know if you see any color on my hair. I don't see any okay, so my hair is all dried up and set now now we can actually tell the effect. I actually have mixed filling about this. My gray hair is covered, but my black roots are not colored at all. Only the length of my hair that was already dyed before got colored. It has barely colored my black roots. Only with a little bit of light does the color shows without any light it looks very dark. We have to actually move out to see anything. It looks pretty reddish color, but i have to say i'm a bit disappointed with direct sunlight. My hair looks shiny and pretty but indoors it looks dark. My roots are not colored even slightly. I think the quality of this box dye is good, but i chose the wrong shade. Let me know in the comment section what you guys feel: do you like this color? Should i give it or color over it again. I hope you enjoyed today's video. I will come up with more videos, pretty soon stay tuned, bye,

M. Rezagah: It's not the brand's fault. That's the definition of any semi-permanent color. You can only go darker with it, not lighter. If you want to color black hair you should pick one of their permanent formulas.

Cami: the same thing happened to me, my black roots were still the same, even though the box dye color was lighter than yours, loreal casting creme 780 caramel mocha.

Connie H: I agree, you need a more vibrant shade in order for it to show on your natural hair colour. It does look pretty but I think if you're after a more dramatic effect you either need to pre-lighten your hair, or go for a vivid cherry red to get the desired effect.

hooded _eyess: ur hair turned out so nice and naturally brown!! ders makes me want to try this dye

Miss Kitty: Its the color you have chosen but still looks good. I use the same brand and I don’t mind it not being perfect it covers grey and is less damaging than permanent I think you hair turned out nice.

Lin: Beautiful! You inspired me to dye my hair at home too

Kristel M.: it has barely coloured your roots as its semi permanent colour and the 550 colour is lighter than your natural colour..

Aditya S: Colour is looking amazing on your hair..i liked it
