Hey awesome ones: Heather here., It doesn't matter whether your hair is long like mine or maybe kind of a medium length or even short.. We could all use some good ideas for de-frizzing our hair. curling it, and even some accessories. And I've got a question for you in this video.. What'S up with dissing the side part Like I just see it all over social media that the side part isn't a good idea. Anymore. iWell, I'm going to be talking about that as well.. I can't wait to show you this video., So, just before I get into this video, I got ta address the side, part thing.. Well, what they're saying now is, if you have a side, part you're, really aging yourself. like Give me a break.. Listen, I want you to be authentically you.. I don't want you to go. Oh my gosh. I have to have a center part now or I have to have a buzz cut or I'm supposed to put purple streaks in my silver hair to look really with it.. No you've got to be authentically you. And, and you know what People are going to talk about, you anyway.. So if they're saying oh, my gosh she's wearing a side part., You know what Just keep on being you., And here I am. I'Ve got the side part going and I have my silver hair and I have long hair. And almost every day, there's somebody commenting and saying: oh, you need to cut all your hair off.. I had some joker yesterday honestly, and he said I looked like an old witch. And you know what that joker doesn't know is that I am authentically me.. I love my long hair. And you know what My silver locks, they're trending right, now. And a lot of the younger women are going for this at the salon.. So what does that person know know. If you want to stay youthful? If you really want to embrace these next few years, ... few ... lots of years left Be authentically you it's the best thing you can do for your beauty.. So in this video i'm going to show you a lot of tips on curling, your hair, but I'd be remiss if I didn't talk about straightening your hair as well., Because I know you've seen a lot of videos where I've had the straighter hair. And what I Love to use is this., It's a curling iron ... er, no, a straightening iron., But it's a brush.. So I'm just going to show you a clip right now on how I simply just brush through my hair, to straighten it. And it's so easy, and all you have to do. Is comb through and there's also a less chance of burning when you're doing it like this.? So before you curl or straighten your hair, you really need a good base to work with and I love the Davines products.. This is what I use on a regular basis. Right here it's called Nounou and these are natural products. And for all the gals out there that have silver or gray hair. Once every four washings, I use the purple shampoo, which really helps to take the brassiness out of my hair and give me a little bit more shine. And by the way, if you want to save some money, buy them in these great big containers. Both the conditioner and also the shampoo., And, of course, I'm going to have links for you below so that you can find them. Now again through the magic, the magic of video. What we're going to do is just kind of pretend that I just walked out of the shower with a little presto change-o.. So if I just let my hair dry without any products, it's super frizzy and hey it's pretty old hair. So it's super frizzy.. So I need to have a secret weapon and this John Frieda product, it's called Frizz Ease Secret Weapon and it's absolutely fantastic.. All I do is just put a little bit. On. A little dab will do you.. Who remembers that commercial Put it in the comments? If you remember, a little dab will do you., But I just sort of put it through my hair like this and make sure it gets to the ends and actually I'm trying not to get too much on the top of my scalp. So mostly in the ends. Here. And then where's my comb, oh here's, my comb., I just kind of comb it out and it really really works.. Now, let's just say that I want to do ... I actually have naturally curly hair. And how many of you who are growing out your gray or silver hair have found that your hair is a lot more natural curly these days.. So I still need a little bit of help., So I use the Mark Anthony Strictly Curls., And this is a curl cream.. I used to use the curl mousse, but it kept on clogging up and I'd be buying a new one, all the time.. So I'm going for the curl cream now and if I want just the natural wavy curls, what I do is again little dab will do you and I just sort of put it where my hair is going to be curly. And then I do the famous scrunch method and I just keep on scrunching it. Now I know you can use a diffuser that would work as well, but I just kind of like my hair to just naturally dry and when it's done, I get kind of a Look like this and I absolutely love it.. Now I find it's important for me to mention here that these days I only wash my hair once a week.. What I don't know - maybe it's because of these these products, like they don't have a lot of foam. They don't have a lot of soapiness, so I don't get that real, build up on my scalp and have one of those itchy scalps.. I also am very careful, as I said, not to put the product too much on my scalp and the result is my hair. Is it's much more silkier.? I don't I don't know you know the less less is more, sometimes the less you do to it. The healthier it is, and after my hair has dried another thing that I do, whether I'm straightening my hair or curling, my hair or leaving it naturally curly is, I use a serum, an oily serum like this one.. This is John Frieda's, Perfect, Finish: ...! Okay, it's John Frieda's Perfect Finish and it's it's oily. I got ta tell you. And again you just put a little bit on like that and I just brush it through.. This is when my hair is dry, but I just kind of put it all over and it starts to really take care of the frizzies tame everything down, and it also gives me quite the shine.. So here I am the next day and I didn't do the scrunchy kind of curl look but look at how smooth with those products my hair is so smooth and so silky.. So how many of you remember the banana clips of the 1980s Well they're back.? I bought these banana clip kind of clips, they're, really inexpensive and again I'll have the links for you below., I'm going to show you a couple of different looks here. One just if I have a bad hair day and I want to pull my hair back and The other one, if I want to do kind of an updo type of look and not only are banana clips back, but also the hair bands are back. And you remember, you know how we used to wear the hair bands. Well, maybe even we ought to go back farther to the 50s and 60s, but I bought myself a few of these and also they're really really nice for the winter time as well.. Now, here's a couple of photos of me wearing hair bands and, as you can see, they really kind of liven up a look a little bit. Now also, if you are kind of enjoying this video don't forget to subscribe and also click on the bell and you'll. Be notified when my videos are out.. We have a great community here, we're all kind of talking and sharing amongst each other. So come on down.. Now I got ta tell you that I used to always use a curling iron. You know that's what everybody's been doing lately, and this is a really good size as well for a curling iron and there I would be curling my hair, but we'd be getting ready for a video right Bill And Bill ... like are you ready yet Like? Where are you And I'm just like okay. Every strand and it took forever., So you know what They say. They say that everything old is new again and I have discovered once again the heated rollers. And I got ta. Tell you they're fantastic., Take a look at all the different sizes of the rollers that you have here.. You know the larger sizes, the smaller and even if you have shorter hair than me like whatever it could be, even this short. you can get some really nice. Curls there. And what I also like about this is, if you look down here, you'll see that they got the clips.. These are great clips too, and they actually heat up as well.. So I absolutely love this, and all you have to do is, of course, read the instructions and what I like about it is. It saves time., I'm not taking every strand of hair yeah, I'm putting the strands of hair in, but then I can go off and do my makeup or do my nails and then I'm ready to go.. So just follow the instructions and when the middle curler has the white kind of dot on it, you're ready to go. And let's see how I use this.. So of course, as I mentioned before, I'll have all of these products and links below the description for you.. So all I have to do is just take a piece of hair like this with a comb and what I do is I'll. Take one of these and I like to roll my roller outwards, because I I think it's just a more natural and also it's kind of a popular trend right now for the curls to go outward.. So now I'm just going to pull one of these clips and you'll just see how done ... now, instead of you just sitting there for the next few minutes. What we're going to do is we're going to speed up this video. So in about just a few seconds I'll be done and by the way Conair gives you extra clips in this particular package.. So if you have lots of hair like me, it really really works.. So, as I mentioned earlier, I do have that Marc, Anthony curling cream on my hair right now., So that'll really help to set these curls and through the magic of video time lapse. Photography. Let'S just pretend that 15 or 20 minutes have gone by and these have been set. And again, I'm not just sort of sitting here and waiting for them.. I'M doing my makeup, I'm doing my nails, I'm getting ready.. So these just sort of stay on like this, but let's, let's do the time lapse, photography here and what I'm going to do is just start pulling them out of my hair.. Let'S just start with this one here. Very, very carefully make sure that they keep a little bit of a curl in there and again, let's just speed this up.. All right now really check make sure there's no no curlers left in your hair and feels good.. So what I want to do now is, I just want to use my fingers to kind of comb out my hair., So it's just keeping a lot of those curls and then I want to go a little old school here and I want to use a little Bit of hairspray on my hair just to sort of set it, and let me just see what we got.. Oh yes, we got some good stuff going here.. I want to do this side of my hair, of course, just a little bit, but also I like to turn kind of upside down and spray underneath as well and look at my hair.. I can't get this with a curling iron.. I absolutely love it. And don't forget to check out our storefront on Amazon. It's at amazon.com/shop/awesomeover50, where I have hundreds of items for you on hair care and my favorite makeup and my favorite skin care all kinds, any fashion of course., And so don't forget to check That out. And somebody else who has pretty nice hair well, usually he does - is Hurricane. You're looking a little scruffy these days.. I think it's it's time for him to go to the groomers., But our little Hurricane is here to remind me to talk about upcoming videos., But just before I get there, if you have maybe a hair care accessory or a product or maybe there's a hair styling Tool that you absolutely love, why not share it in the comments., And I just have to tell you on my last video, which was ... Putting Together Outfits. A lot of you really shared some of your favourite outfits and I'm just so glad that you did. And you know what Some of those ideas I'm going to use.. So I'm excited to tell you that I just ordered a lot of fashion online from Amazon and I'm going to be doing an Amazon haul.. I'Ve got some stretchy jeans coming.. I have some tops.. I even have some beachwear cover-ups., So I can't wait to show that to you. And also for more confidence, boosting I have some more makeup and also skin care and, of course, some fashion, do's and don'ts videos coming up for you.. So, besides talking about hair in this video, one of the underlying themes that I really wanted to talk about is being authentically you.. It'S so important that that birth certificate that you have those numbers on your birth certificate, they don't define you.. I always talk about pro-age.. I kind of don't like the term anti-age, because I really think that we can wear our hair the way we want to.. We can look the way that we want to.. You know as long as we're not trying to look like an 18 year old or something like that.. You know it's very, very important that we here in the community. We really support each other.. You know because we're the awesome ones. We want to show generations from now that especially our daughters and the younger women that you can keep on going well after 50. And keep on rocking this world.

Awesome over 50: Hi everyone, Heather here...if you want to find similar products, curling & straightening tools & hair accessories I used in this video just go to my website at https://www.awesomeover50.com/youthful-looking-hair-tips-tricks/ (scroll down the page to find them) Enjoy!

Adel Heine: Hi Heather! I just wanted to say, you are anything but old or "dated". I'm 26, and I find so much value in your videos ♥ I so appreciate your timeless beauty advice, rather than the "trends" that change every 5 minutes. Oh, and I also rock my side parting, I just can't get into the center part - it's awful on me. Xx

Jackie O: A lot of people have the center part but it's not always flattering. Sometimes it makes the hair lie really flat. I love your gorgeous long hair!!!

Rosey C.: Hi Heather: What a jerk! You're the farthest thing from, "an old witch"! I think you look fabulous; you're definitely one of my top role models. I absolutely LOVE your hair, and, I hope I can gather the courage to grow out my white hair. (Yes, I remember, "a little dab'll do you" and the banana clips). My hair is so fine, though, that I think I'd need a clip-in hair topper to grow it out...I'm working on a plan going forward. I'm SO tired of the "skunk stripe".. You're blessed to have such great hair, and, I've only ever washed my hair once a week. It's a bit dry, so that works. I think you're just beautiful; your hair and makeup (and outfits) always look great. Thanks for the video and tips. Hope you three enjoy the weekend! Rosemarie

Teresa Keough: Hi Heather! You’re a classic beauty! I agree with you about being your authentic self.Glad to hear the butterfly clips are back. They are the best clips. Love the electric curlers, I like the soft curls you got using them.I remember “a little dab a do ya”, (Brylcreem or something like that).

Carol Benavidez: Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts. Fashion shaming is ridiculous because pretty soon they'll be glorifying the side part again! Also, finding myself looking frumpy because of covid so really need a boost on hair, makeup, and how to dress at this age. Just found you so will be binge watching all your videos!

REIKI WITH CARY: Great tips Heather! Good to see the old hot rollers back! My mom and I used to share a set back in my jr high -high school days! The same little girls who are dissing the side part are the ones who want to take my skinny jeans away! We'll show them! I remember hearing about ten years ago that women of our age should stop wearing make up- we should cut our hair- I think that in a way they were trying to make us more masculine in appearance...hmmm... not having that! Lol! This forum here is so important because there have been not handbooks written to tell us all how to FINALLY be comfortable in our own skins! The freedom to dress as we please... wear our hair the way we please ... the option to wear that full face of makeup or not if we please.... the ability to please ourselves and no body else ! We have the honor of teaching the generations to come exactly what it means to grow older gracefully- no matter HOW we choose to do so! Thanks for creating this space so that we all can truly and as you said... authentically be the AWESOME ONES! Keep Yourself Well & Present in Love, Light, & Gratitude... see you over on IG!

Molly Kalifut: Thank you for some great tips! I grew my hair during covid 2020 and have been wrangling with my curling iron to get the beachy curls. I'm switching to your method! I just had it cut wth more layers and that helps the curls come to life. I love my curly gray hair. If you look like a witch, sign me up to be a witch, too, lol! Thank you for your videos. They are great!

Donna Morrison: I have a cowlick and a widow’s peak so, a center part doesn’t always work! At 60 I’m just happy to have a full, thick head of natural hair!

Carole Kelly Pearce: Heather, I love your hair! I am about your age and have long, very thick wavy hair. I tried that darn curling iron and never got the hang of itIt took forever and never curled my hair! I have used hot rollers since I was 16 (yes, they had them way back then). I even have a back-up set, as they became scarce a few years ago. I rock the headbands too (best place is Amazon in every color). I tried a middle part for a while but looked like an old Cherso I went back to my side part. I guess I will live with being out of style.

Danielle Sallee: Hi Heather, your hair looks fabulous and you look beautiful. Don’t ever listen to people who make untrue and hurtful comments. It says more about them than it does about you. As for my hair, the grey is really growing, It is a light silver grey and I love it! Thank you again for encouraging me to grow it out! Most of the time I part it on the side, but once in a while I part it in the center, it depends on my mood. Big hugs!!❤️

S W: There’s nothing wrong with the side part lol I’m 51 and I had one for majority of my life, but now I’ve got a middle part due to receding hair at the sides. The middle covers this go with what makes you happy is what I say, and you always look gorgeous hun xxx ❤️

Teresa Tillery: Hi Heather! There is NOTHING about you that looks like and old witch! lol I always wore my hair parted in the center when I was young, but switched it to semi-side many years ago and like it so much better this way! Since my hair is thinner now, I think it gives it a little fuller look and some body! Tip... if you part it on the opposite side to dry, even more body when you switch it back! -xoxo

irene hageman: Hi Heather just love all your tutorials on fashion hair and just everything, Thank you for all you inspiration..

Lisa Harr1: Beautiful ! I’m glad the hot roller curl is back ! Looks so pretty ! My favorite hair product ever is the Infusium leave in hair conditiiner - I have used it for decades and every person that cuts my hair always tells me how good my hair looks ! You have to get it at a beauty supply store but it is worth the trip ! Unfortunately my hair is still oily so I have to wash it at least every other day and sometimes daily. I am jealous that you only have to wash once a week ! You guys take care and have a great weekend !!!

Doris Mcelroy: Just started watching. Love it ! Thank you for us over 50❤️

Jackie Monk: Since I've gone silver/white (naturally), I use the MoroccanOil line of hair products. My hairdresser introduced them to me because of the dry, thin & frizziness that comes with age and gray. Their scent is also wonderful and not strong at all.

Terri B'Hymer: I decided to see what long hair is like now - so many new products invented since the 1970's! Your videos have been a big help and inspiration during this experiment. Thank you SO much!

Gretchen Smith: And by the way, your long hair is beautiful; DO NOT CUT IT! It's gorgeous. Some people are complete idiots.

Teresa J: I took advantage of the Pandemic to not just grown our my hair to natural grey, but also to grow it long for the first time in 30 years. My husband loves it. I spend a lot of time cutting hair out of the vacuum roller now, but whatever. As far as advice from experts on anything, look at any fashion or hair trend after it is done and you can pretty much bet that most of us will be scratching our head going " why did anyone think that looked good" ! So don't get sucked into changing just because someone tells you are not current with the style. Part your hair any way you like.

TART: Thank you for a nice hair video. The side part issue seems to be a silly trending thing - never heard of it until a couple of weeks ago. I part mine slightly off center because that's where it wants to go, and I can't tell you what side of off center it is on any given day lol Loved my hot rollers to death and am ready for another set. I prefer clips the Conair has rather than pins. Also I highly recommend a Tangle Teezer brush. Have you tried one? PS Your lipstick is a beautiful shade.

Diana Marner: I’ve got long hair too and I’m 76. It’s staying, but I might try a side parting too. Xx

Dr. Jenine Marie Howry, Ph.D. : I still use the side part. My hair has grown longer now so I have also rediscovered the hot rollers. They are not as harsh on my hair as a curling iron and they work pretty fast. Your hair looks great! I remember "A little dab will do ya" ! LOL

Shirley Langton: I have hair like yours, curly. I still use a steam curler when I want a more elegant look. For every day I partially dry my hair and just twist it and let it dry to keep it from being too frizzy. I use a leave-in conditioner in my hair, Pantene or Garnier, and for the frizziness on the ends, I use Schwarzkopf Gliss Hair Repair (8 oils)which I can spray on, put on my brush, or rub in. These are all very good products.

Violet Joy: One tip for an easy way to curl hair that works GREAT - roll it into a headband at night after dampening it. I wake up the next day, take out the headband and have a head full of curls. Plus, it keeps me cool at night. I can usually go a couple of days or so in between curling it. There are some great tutorial videos about that. By the way, I'm 53 and my hair looks almost exactly like yours, just a tiny bit shorter and more layers, but same color and curl. I have fun with it!

Lori Lagerstrom: Heather- I AM SO SORRY for - like you said- the “joker” (which WAS a very nice term, btw!). I can think of other descriptives but we won’t go there. You go- Heather!! You give yourself and all the rest of us encouragement and permission (not that we need it from anyone- but you remind us) to be our best authentic self!!

ingrid: Your hair is so pretty and such a gorgeous color thx for all the tips

Barbara Blackman: Thanks for helping us mature women to be true to ourselves.

A. Clark: Do not cut your hair; looks amazing!

Jenny Young: I wish now I hadn't gotten rid of my hot rollers! Bummer. Have you tried any of the no-heat curl methods? I've seen quite a few younger curls online doing this & I thought it might be easier on my hair. Love this video & thanks so much for encouraging us to look our best.

Beth W: Your hair is beautiful. Thanks for the tips!

Diana Kidd: In my opinion~ Side part is like the French Twist/bun: a classic. Can never go wrong with either.

Rina Goswami: It's a pleasure to watch your video. I just love the way you describe every detail. Thanks a lot. One more thing you have such lovely hair...so please let it be long.

Pam B: My hair is short. But I still watch all your videos. I have natural curly hair. And I can’t control it when it starts to grow out. So I get it cut off again. Plus, I live in the south where it’s easier and cooler to keep it off my neck. Your hair looks good and healthy. And I think if someone doesn’t like it, turn the other way.

Rosey C.: Heather, BTW..I hadn't heard about the "side part" thing. That's how I wear my hair! Rosemarie

Gale Memee of 6: Oh Heather, you have brought back so many memories for me. I always say or think "a little dab'll do ya". Was that Brylcreem? And when I was real young I always wore a headband or a triangle scarf with little ties behind my neck. I had super long hair in my teens and early 20s and I usually used the hot steam rollers. I really appreciate your tips on hair care products. My hair is so dry and frizzy now. I use the scrunch and dry method a lot but I can't seem to just leave it alone when it's dry. I try to just pick it a little to get any tangles out even though I know I'll get frizz and I do. I look a lot like my grandma did at this age and she always looked younger and more refreshed when she got a haircut but she was just like me and liked having longer hair. I told my daughter I'll just let my hair grow and be an "old hippie" if I have to because I just don't want to dress like an old person. It's funny how your brain still feels like the younger person you were (unless I look in the mirror). lol Your videos are so uplifting and fun. I really appreciate your tips and your fun point of view and I think you and your long hair look great! (Sorry this is so long.)

Heidi Tate: I haven't heard anything about the side part. I used to wear my hair real short because it is really thick, wiry and was very wavy. But it is changing with menopause. It is still thick and wiry but going straight. So since I don't go a lot of places due to Covid, I've been letting it grow a little. It used to naturally part in the middle. Now I part it on the side for a pixie cut look. It is more white than silver, and yes, I had some purple put in the front (my oldest daughter is a licensed beautician). I'm going back to work as a substitute teacher in the fall and my hair won't be popular. By that time, it will grow a lot and fade. I've always had to be professional in all of my jobs so I had the purple put in for something different that I could never do before. I don't care what people think....it's my hair and I was ready for a change! I use the purple shampoo too. In between I use Fructus shampoo and conditioner for frizzy hair. I use Fructus serum for frizzy hair too. I only have one little wave and use a small flat iron to straighten. I use a defuser to dry because blow dryers make my hair frizzy. I only wash my hair every 3 days. I use a tad of dry shampoo by Fructus. My hair was pretty straight when I was young, then got a little curly during adolescence. Can't believe that it's going straight but I will go with the flow.

Cathy Hinz: I keep my hair very short. I just do not want to deal with it. And I get lots of compliments on it. But I love your hair! It’s beautiful!

Barbara Blackman: Your hair is beautiful and I love the length. I keep mine at shoulder length only because I think it looks a little better on me. But I might let it grown a little longer☺

Melissa Morris-Hillman: So sorry to hear of people's terrible comments...you are truly lovely and your authentic style with long hair is so special. Glad you didn't cut..it's been (and you have been) an inspiration!

Mimi Monard: You look beautiful ❤️ l love the long, side part glamour look. You are fabulous!

Judy Kirchner: Love it! Hey! Hot rollers are back! Your hair is beautiful!

Fay Aaberg: You and your hair look amazing Heather.

dawn grantham: You are wonderful can you do a video on how we should use accessories in our hair over 50 please x

cwm53: Pretty hair, you are lucky to have that natural wave. I bought one of the hot brushes and I'm surprised that I like it as much as I do. And yes, I do know what product made "a little dab will do ya" famous. Stay well!

Liz Walker: Brylcreem...a little dab will do ya.I remember it well❤️. I wear my 73 yr. old long hair in side part and love it. Your hair looks fab❤️

Peaches Skin Care: A side part ages!? Honestly what will they tell us next to make us feel less than. Be you and love who you areI also have long hair and at 55 it’s gorgeous on both of us. People say cruel things because they are insecure. I can not wear my hair with a middle part. I think you should wear your hair in a manner that you love! Such a wonderful message. I love we both bring women ( and men ) up not down!! Have a blessed day Lisa I love our silver SPARKLE !!!!!

Joan Jones: thank you for the hair tips especially the frizz part!

kaz mcgarvey: I get so many compliments on my long gray hair❤️❤️✌️

Dixie Fogarty: Love that you promote, that we should embrace our age....

Kelly Henry: Yes, Cindy Joseph was an "older" model who touted the "pro age" movement. We wear what is flattering to us, not necessarily what the current trend is. Ask any good hair stylist.....

Gretchen Smith: I love the side part! I think its very classy.

Paula Benson: I love the silver in that gray hair of yours. At the bottom you have those curls that look so good. If we continue to listen we will become what people want. Sad sad sad sad sad Yeah, can you believe younger women want gray hair. We have it natural without the price. Well, there is a price to keep it up. hahahahahaha I still wear my hair with a side part if I want a change. I gotta be me I gotta to be me.

MaritimerCanada: I love your videos. I'm 61 and I have some feet issues that doesn't allow me to wear heels. What types of "comfortable shoes" would be appropriate?

Shirley Anderson: I think i need a set of those heated rollers too. I have a lot of hair and it's frizzy and those look a bit easier than a curling iron. Maybe they're kinder to your hair too because it's a moist heat, isn't it? Your hair looks great.

Michelle Shelly Style / Fashion over 60: I think Your hair part is about what looks best on you . Not every woman looks good with a centre part . Forget trends , wear your hair how it flatters you and how you feel comfortable. Xx

Jan Jones: I love your positive energy and look forward to being Authentic Me!

Vesna Mihalinec: Heather you are Great. I have 60 and long Brown hair. Many want me to cut it off and i won't. Your example helps me, thank you

Blaze Fairchild: Your hair is lovely , mine is just starting the white on the sides & one lock of white in front. My hair is so long now since COVID-19 down past my behind ,so I just keep one long braid or hair band. I wash every other day & dry it open air because hair dryers just blow it into tangles. I am looking forward to days after I receive my vaccines & get to the hair salon for a good hair cut. My husband recently gave me a hair brush with a zip cover , I love it , now I can stick it in my bag & keep the brush clean. Great idea whoever invented it. I find it’s must have ,just like a tooth brush cover keep it clean.

Charles Kellas: Certain face shapes and styles look good with a side part or a middle part it depends. My wife rocks a side part like no ones business. Not always good to be a cookie cutter, be yourself!

Robin Hillyer-Miles: I remember when I used curlers that 1) it was a task to ensure there were enough curlers and 2) I had to take out first the one I put in first or it messed with my brain! LOL I still have mine, shall pull it out of the closet.

Denise Gallant: I love your hair! You look great

Amber Thrapp: I will always do my side part no matter what the trend is. A middle part just doesn't look good on me.

Peggy binkley: I love the side part and will keep it

Nancy Lyon-Gray: I have very thin and fine hair. I'm 61 and losing it in the front. I use colored dry shampoo. Saves my life!

Kim From Arkansas: I love your little fur baby, I have two. He is a sweetheart. I remember a little dab will do ya. At 56, my hair is dry and tends to frizz so I will try some of the John Frieda products and they are so reasonable. I wish YouTube would block any negative comments from idiots like that guy. You look gorgeous, love the long hair and I wear a side part bc it covers most of my forehead and I love angled bangs. Thanks for sharing. Kim

nancy sellers: I very rarely leave comments on any of these sites but I love your hair if I had your hair I would be doing and wearing it exactly the same way

Lemonade Sewing: I'm so tired of the curling iron curls. Bring on the hot rollers or the rag rollers or just a round brush and hairdryer. And, about the Center Part....Telling people where to part their hair is one of the silliest influencer trends ever. Even Kim Kardashian would look better without the center part. Love the video!

Jen Ruby: your hair looks so full - - You do NOT look like an old Witch. You look like a Silver Fox!

Colleen Ide: How you part your hair is not about being in or out of fashion, but rather about what flatters your face shape. I wouldn’t want to part my hair in the middle if I had a long face, it would appear way too long.

A FunkBrothers' Sister: Thank you for your likeable videos.

nadine martranchard: if my only problem is my side part, I am doing great :-) I do switch it from one side to the other but it's here to stay :-)

Miss Sassy Pants: Hi, only me again ‍♀️doing what I do best and that sharing your wonderful videos to trest Spreading the luuurve! ❤️❤️

Maria Gajjar: Halo Heather, I'm a new subscriber and I like the videos, hope you're well, I just want to ask you about the brand of your straighteners, because I click the link and come up so many of them, and I need to buy it, I appreciate if you can answer thank you very much, God bless you take care

Wanda Crespo: I loved your hair. I am 66 and me too have long hair. Thanks for your ideas. IAM from Puerto Rico.

RussiaIsARiddle: I use a lot of John Frieda hair products. And I wash once a week as well.

Amy Sue West: Dippity-Do gel. A little dab will do ya. Regarding side bangs, pah-shaw! I'm rockin' mine like no body's business.

Lululila67: I only wash my hair once a week too. Its not good for your hair to wash it every day:)

ssue: That's really weird about the side part. Because I even see young girls totally dressed down to their jewelry like the 70s but instead of hair parted in the middle like the 70s they are rocking a side part! I've had bone straight hair all my life. Unfortunately I have to take narcotic pain meds on a daily basis due to very progressed Rheumatic disease.. so it makes my hair curly I live in Southern States so curly comes with frizz 2 of which I've never had! But I do know it's from the pain meds I learned that way back in cosmetology school.. I'm going to watch your video hope there's not too much having to have the hands over the head to style because my shoulder involvement is excruciating I usually just stick it up real quick with a larger jaw in a bun I'm sick of it so hopefully your video will be helpful.btw that idiot that made the comment about an old witch I absolutely love the way you responded just now and also I wouldn't really call your hair long it's medium length long to me is down to your waist or close to it!! Before 7:57 Time stamp products and scrunching definitely doable so I will get these products and give it a try. Thanks so much for sharing..Only wear headbands when applying Moisturizer in makeup have done for decades I don't want those products in my hair. But to wear them because they are so cute they either slide off my head or the tighter ones give me such a headache I have to remove them I wish it wasn't that way because they are so cute!! Again really appreciate the tips I'm going to give it a go with what I mentioned above sure hope it tames down that curly frizzy mess

Rose Sack: or was it brill cream? I can't believe I remember brands from way back when lol.

Tanya Byron: I can’t believe some one said something so ugly to you! What a jerk. You are lovely.

Nancy Barta: I promised myself when I got old no short pincurl hairdo and I would never be fat!!!I think the side part depends on your face and style.I think people take social media to seriously.Your a beautifil woman.....I have been using those clips since the sixties..............people act like they just discovered them!I also have been using heated rollers since the sixties..........

Jackie Culpepper: I love my side part!

Brenda Albright: Was that Dippity Do? I remember hearing the saying on commercial but can't remember what product. Love your video!!

Robin Hillyer-Miles: To rock the center part your face has to be symmetrical, and not hardly anyone's face is.

Barbara Blackman: Everyone does not look good with a side part. I always wear a side part with a little bang to frame my face. I don't want to look like everyone else now I did tried it but my face is asymmetrical, I looked scary.

Barbara Bailey: Very pretty

Terri Newton: I’m finally hip! I’ve always had a middle part.

Deborah Mounts: I did the middle part all the 70s, 80s and 90s...over it.

Karen-Lyn Penton: You can find Brylcreem and Dipity Doo commercials online. They're fun to watch.

Cynthia Slebodnik: Brill Cream is the product "a little dab will do it".

Cathy: Side parts are very, very complimentary! Middle parts are not....sorry! Love you Heather

Joan Jones: There are idiots all over the place these days. some vintage looks are very classy and sexy. modern looks can be cookie cutter ...I am a vintage lover and I look 30 years younger than my age - people tell me. so don't listen to the idiots.

s F: I remember a little dab will do you. I don't think I'll ever go grey. Yours is pretty.

Linda Jones: Delightful upbeat video! (Forget that snarky witch comment. Geez!)

Ana Sufitchi: You should research fast hair growth fortified shampoo to double hair growth.

Jill Gaddis: What !!! you are not looking like an old witch, Was he envious ? Love the idea of being your authentically you.

Jules Madison ArtPreneur: Thanks Heather.

Gail Bates: The side part thing is just ABSOLUTELY ridiculous!!!!!

Wanda Arnt: Who makes these rules.....haven’t we seen listening to the authorities or self prescribed authorities.....
