Hi everyone I'm dr. Tavis, Amir of Maersk and dermatology here in New York City. I have a lot of questions that I get from my patients about how they can remove the facial hair. They have on their face and a natural way and believe it or not. It'S something as simple as a cup of tea. Current research in phytotherapy journal, which is an online scientific journal on the medicinal value of plants, have shown that spearmint tea actually can contribute to reduced facial hair growth in women. Now, what they found is drinking two cups a day for as little as five days can reduce the amount of hair growth on your face. This is a great thing to try, because you can try. It see what happens with you, but I would recommend doing it for a minimum of two weeks now it does reduce the androgen levels in your body, so you do not want to do this if you're a man, you don't want to do this if you're pregnant Or breastfeeding and you do want to realize that it may contribute to some irregularities in your period but other than those sorts of things. It'S a great way to naturally try and reduce the hair growth of your face. Like I said a minimum of two weeks, and you should see a little bit of a result, continued use more of a result. I hope you found these tips helpful. I'M doctor Tabitha miramare skin, you

mmp5959: Yes I can also attest i noticed in a matter of 3 days ... drinking a cup morning and night. Significant reduction in growth. I bought mine from my local target. 2.99.

LaindiaC: Hi, I wanted to know if there are any side effects from drinking this tea? I started having dull pains on the side of my head and not sure if it's from drinking this tea,or stress. I'm wondering if the tea has been affecting my sinuses to cause these  aches?

Robyn Avalon: Hey! I found this video searching for ways to get rid of facial hair. I found it interesting but was disappointed that you said males should not attempt this. Why is this so exactly? It could cause a hormonal imbalance?

sarafatimaiqbal: is it like a one time thing or has to be repeated for 5 days every month or so?

Angel Pup: Dr T is there a natural treatment that totally eliminates (not just reduce) this affliction?

Naila Tabassam: Could you please tell me if I could add honey to the spearmint tea please?

Shaniba Muhanned: Is dried mint and spear mint are same?

Marina Garcia: If you stop drinking it after 2 weeks...does a person get all the hair growth back like how it was in the beginning before drinking the tea??

R. Thomassen: Why is every single hair removal video or article meant for women only? For example the studied to be just as effective as laser treatment, nagarmotha essential oil "Cyperus rotundus", is for women's androgynic hair. And when you search online, it's for "womens hair removal". But it might be just studied on women's facial hair and not on men. So I had to do a lot of research to first of all try to find out what androgynic hair is, and if men have it. I still don't get it, I think. But anyway, I will try nagarmotha essential oil and see if I can have a permanent hair removal, even though I'm a man, and don't want to use it on the face but further downstairs. The spearmint tea might work for women. But why don't you boost the effect of the tea by first waxing or epilating your facial hair and then massage in some nagarmotha essential oil? That should be really effective, and most likely permanent or semi-permanent. But the hairs must be removed by the root, so that the essential oil can get into the holes and stop new hair growth. I have also read that thanaka powder from Burma mixed to a paste/cream with safflower oil and massaged in for 5 minutes, and left to work for 2-3 hours or overnight, is a method that is said to work. But it will take 100 days of daily or almost daily applying of the thanaka paste for it to be effective, I have read. Yes, and the hairs must be removed by the root first. But thanaka powder is quite difficult to get, and beware of fake or adulterated powder. Some burmese people in USA had dangerously high levels of lead in their body due to fake or adulterated thanaka powder. So it can be an unsafe method. And I don't know if it works or not. It has not been studied, as far as I know. But it's some ayurveda or folk medicine treatment. For me, it will be the nagarmotha treatment that I hope can give me a permanent brazilian on some parts of the downstairs. It is studied to be highly effective, and it's easier than the thanaka paste for 100 days straight. And I will avoid any spearmint tea, since I don't want to loose my facial hair. Plus I guess it's maybe safer as well, or maybe not. Essential oils are way too often adulterated. And who knows with what. But I will take the chance.

Dr. Tabasum Mir: Hi Pamela hope this helps. I will also add another video about a perscription cream vaniqua that could be helpful also !

Julia Carmen: If you stopped drinking this, would your hair grow back worse?

Michelle Kruse Kelley: Hello Dr. Tabasum Mir I am a 44 year old who had a total hysterectomy in 2009, 6 years later (and no hormone therapy) I am seeing way too much facial hair on my chin and lip and am starting to grow a 'fuzz' all over my cheek and neck/jaw areas.  I will try the tea, but do you recommend that I also see a physician for a possible problem in hormone regulation?  Will that help?

Jen Tuesday: Should it reduce hair grown on your head as well?
