Hey guys, what's up, it's Queenie here, welcome back to my channel. Thank you for clicking on this video. As you can see today, I'm gon na be showing you how I get my type 4 hair into a nice, perfect low, sleek, bun or ponytail. My hair is very dry, so it's also prone to frizz. So this is the method I use to make sure it's perfect every single time and trust me. It works. I always get questions about how I get my hair so smooth. So, let's get into it. Obviously, first you're gon na part your hair, the best you can try to Center it make it straight, and I just show you this part, so you can see how far back I like to make my part and then we move on to the steps so you're Gon na need a spray bottle or honestly, if you want to save some time, dunk your head in the shower for like 30 seconds and soak your hair, you want your hair to be wet, but not so so wet that it's gon na be drying all day. You just want the top to be wet, so you can dunk your hair and water real, quick and spread the water through or you can do it. This way, where you using a spray bottle to get all the parts, because if your hair is dry, it's gon na be lumpy. It'S gon na be hard to get down and it's gon na be more difficult to work with and also you don't want to be brushing your hair. While it's super dry anyways, my hair does have some product in it from a previous wash day. So it's not too too dry and my spray bottle is empty, so we're gon na move on to the next step. Just make sure your hair is nice and wet and moisturize for this, and that you can easily manipulate it without kind of hurting your hair. So that's how you can tell so: let's get this going, I'm gon na use extreme wet line gel. You can use eco styler if you'd like prefer. Personally, this is my gel of choice because it doesn't get too hard and it doesn't dry out my hair, like eco styler, and I do not find that it flakes act. Also. I can have my hair in this style for a few days without having to wash it or add some more product. It just stays, it keeps my hair down and it doesn't get crunchy and flaky. So, as you can see, I'm starting on the outer edges of my hair - and I like to do this, so I can slowly work my hair into a downward motion because I don't want to have to brush it right away. If I don't need to using a wet brush here, so I'm using my hard brush and as you saw it, I wet it in the sink like it's soaking wet. So then, it's not so aggressive on my hair strands, but it's also adding to the smoothness, and I just go through my hair and I brush it down and brush it down until it starts to stay in that downward shape a little bit more on its own. Without me having to pull it down, so you guys can see now my hair is hanging a little bit, so I just smooth it out with my hands and make sure there's no frizz and make sure that I brushed all the in-between layers as well. So you don't see any frizzy pieces sticking out if that makes sense, I hope you got what I mean it's annoying when you have like layers underneath poking through and it's like a. I don't know it's not consistent in the pattern and the smoothness, so now that it looks good, I'm just gon na go ahead and tie it with a ponytail, and you guys can see. There'S some parts that still need a bit of brushing because, like I said, sometimes it's not consistent and how it's brush down so I'll fix that later. But I just take a regular black ponytail and tie my hair into a ponytail and then later on. I'Ll put it into a bun or leave it in a puff, depending on the date all right. So now that that is done, I'm just going through and fixing the parts that were not smooth when I put it into the ponytail and then that's basically it now. It'S time to do my edges. Edges are very personal, so personally, I like to use a little bit of gel and a little bit of edge control and a edge brush, and I just swoop it anyway. I'M feeling that day and that's basically it so. I used my edge brush sprayed with a little bit of water as well. We did not use dry brushes in this house, so I just go through and sweep my edges and whatever works works and then that's it. I try not to do too much alright and lastly, I'm just gon na go in with some bobby pins and stick the parts that I feel like need to be more flat. I try my best not to use too many pins. If I can get my hair into any type of ponytail that doesn't require bobby pins, then that's what I'm gon na do. I could have used two more on each side, but, okay, it's fine now we're getting into the setting part of this routine. So I like to use wrapping papers as a two scarves just because it allows my hair to dry. I do not want to go out with wet hair, so this is more breathable. I find then a satin scarf. So once I wrap this on my head, it really sets everything down. It doesn't stick to my head when I'm removing it kind of like how scarves do sometimes and again, it's more breathable, so my hair underneath is drying and the product is setting in a bit better. So this is a personal choice. I like to use two wrapping papers that go like halfway across my head. If you can fit one more back there, I was suggest doing so, but okay, it's fine for today and then I just let that sit for about 10 minutes. So we're back and I'm gon na, remove the wrapping papers and see how it looks. Yes, we see that shine. Yes, I find that the wrapping papers really allow the product to set, and it gives my hair that shine that it didn't have before. So we are good to go yes, yes, yes again, I could have fit one more in the back just to smooth it out a bit more, but it's all good. Now I'm gon na work my hair into a little bun because it is winter and I do not need my ends out. So I just secure it by wrapping it around itself and then putting another elastic loosely over that and then that's basically it. If there's any extra loose ends I'll go in with some bobby pins, just to secure it even more and yeah, that's basically it guys. This is my sleek low ponytail. As you can see, it's smooth there isn't much frizz there's a little bit, but this is the moment where you can see. If there are any flyaways you can hit it with some mousse I like to use the Vica role. I think it was called vigor or mousse I'll put a picture, so you guys can see. That'S the Moose I like to use and knife gets my flyaways down and yeah. I hope you guys enjoyed this video. It is very simple: it's easy to do, but it works every single time. I get shine, no flakes and it's not rock hard. So it's it's a win-win situation. I hope you guys love this and make sure you thumbs up this video comment down below. Let me know what you think: let me know what you guys use for the perfect sleek bun and I'll definitely check those out so yeah. The top looks great too amazing. I will see you beautiful people in the next video make sure you follow me on my other social, and I will see you soon, bye, guys,
