Military Style Bun & “No Makeup” Makeup

today I’m sharing with you my go to hairstyle while in uniform and also a simple no makeup makeup look

Hey guys welcome back to my channel, so I probably should have put a little warning up there to prepare you guys before. I just came on the screen like a busted as hell, but I apologize. I had literally just woke up when I recorded this and yes, this is going to be my go-to hairstyle and makeup. Look when I do my makeup when I am in uniform, if you didn't know which you probably don't know, if you only know me from YouTube, was that I am in the marine corps and I did serve active duty and now I'm serving in the reserves. So yeah, I'm just sharing with you guys my go-to look and I hope you guys enjoy this video so for my hair, I'm obviously doing a military-style bun and I'm just making sure my line is on point. I'M gon na refresh my hair with the Carl's daughter, leaving conditioner it's the spray version. I got this little trial size the other day and it was actually perfect because, while I'm on drill, I stay in a hotel because you know I live pretty far from where my station is located. So I'm in a hotel right now, if you guys didn't notice but yeah, I'm just going in with a bristle brush to flatten out and slicked back my hair. On this specific day, I was supposed to get my new ID card, so I was going to go. Take a new picture, so I was trying to make sure you know. My hair was on point and I didn't look completely crusty but usually um. I don't really care how I look while I'm in a new form like I care, but really it's just like. Not that big of a deal to try to look the cutest. You know what I mean so I'm using these thick-ass scrunchies and I wrapped them around my ponytail like four times so it's super tight and I had drove for three days so every day my hair was in a bun and my bun was so tight that, like My head was so sores, but so I'm going in with that argan oil cream of nature. What is it? It'S a edge control thing and I'm just making sure I'm not like doing baby hears or anything, but basically like the edges of my hair, stay slicked down. All day, because if you know I wear a cover like a little hat all day, so it's always on and off my hair and it kind of messes up my hair, if I don't slick it down properly. So that's what I'm doing here and then I'm just gon na add some hairspray. I used to Tresemme. I used to use this all the time, but honestly I don't use hairspray ever in my hair, unless I do something like this, but on the regular. I do not even use hairspray, so I just had bought this little travel-size one for my drill weekend, there's so many different types of buns you can do while you're in a military, uniform and honestly. The Marine Corps, I think, is probably the strictest on hair. My opinion, but anyway I decided to do a braided bun. This was like one of my favorites because I feel like my soft bun. I used to do sock buns, but my hair started getting really long and then I just don't like having the look of a humongous bun on the back of my head. So I'd rather do the braids and like contain it and make it smaller, but it's really up to your preference. So that's what I'm doing here, I'm just splitting my hair in two and then braiding two strands of hair. So after I'm done braiding those two strands. I just start wrapping them kind of simultaneously and then I secure the two strands with another barrette or ponytail, whatever you want to call it and that's pretty much the finished product of my hair, I'm just going back in with hairspray and making sure that all my Flyways are put away and basically everything is in place. I remember in bootcamp I mean it's an extreme example, but I remember just getting my hair yanked by my bun, because my hair was messed up and itches they weren't having it so yeah. It'S just not a good look to be walking around with a messy hair, so make sure your hair is on point so now that my hair is done, I'm going to start fixing his face, I'm just putting on some chapstick and then brushing out my brows, I'm Gon na be using the NYX micro brow pencil to fill in my brows a little bit. I will link all the products I use down below, but yeah. Like I mentioned this day, I was going to go, take a new ID picture, so I was trying to look a little cute. You know, but yeah on a normal day. I honestly probably wouldn't do anything I might you know, fill in my brows a little bit and add some BB cream to my face. But honestly nobody really has time for that. I also don't really work a really like strenuous job. So if I did wan na wear a full-face makeup, while I was in uniform every day, then it would honestly be no problem. It'S just. I personally don't have time for that, but now I'm just spot concealing with bare minerals, complete coverage, concealer and yeah. I'M just trying to fix this face. You know I'm going in with a wet-and-wild contour stick. I think this is the color maple and I'm just adding a little bit like very little bit and I'm gon na blend that out with an elf a little like bristle kind of brush yeah, and then I just put whatever is left over on the brush on My eyelids to add a little bit of dimension. I guess, and I was getting sick because I have to get the flu shot and it just is shitty because you try to get a flu shot to prevent you from getting sick, but I mean it usually gets people sick. It always gets me sick, so yeah. I was feeling really crappy like the day after I got my shot, but here I am still living and loving life. I'M gon na be using the bare minerals, matte powder foundation, I'm gon na use it on the really fluffy elf brush. So it's kind of like diffused and it won't be like it'll, be diffused over my face and not like really compact and it won't seem like. I have a lot of makeup on, but yeah I'm just doing that mostly because I have oily very oily skin. So if I don't put powder on my face, I would look like a complete. Even when I do put powder on my face, I will end up looking like a semi greasy midday, but I'm also gon na be using the Maybelline great lash mascara. This is like one of the first mascaras I've ever used when I started using makeup in high school and then I really love this a lipliner Chladni me it's by NYX Cosmetics and I'm gon na be putting that on my lips. It'S like a little brownish nude color, but it's perfect. I think, for my skin color like a everyday lip liner and I think I'm just going to be putting my chapstick on top because, like that's all, I use chapstick but yeah. So as soon as I finished.
