How To: Half Up Half Down Bun!

Another hair style look coming your way!! I have to admit that I am not the best when it comes to hair, BUT anything fast and easy I can do! Hope you enjoy this look and try it out for yourself!

Hi guys, so I am back this week with another little hair tutorial. I am going to show you the hairstyle that I did in my last video, my giveaway video and before I even start with this video. I just want to say thank you to everyone who entered and subscribe to me and followed my Instagram page in the word. I am so thankful for all of y'all that entered and watched my videos every week and again I just hope to continue doing giveaways, for you guys all the time and there will be more chances for everyone to win at least one giveaway that I do so. It will be super fun and I love doing those - and I just wanted to thank you all before I even got started with this video so with that out of the way um. Yes, so I'm going to do my hair, my little like top, not like half-up half-down, bun hairstyle, that I did did in my last video or that I had on in my last video. You all really liked my one like little hairstyle video that I did a couple weeks ago, and so I thought it'd be fun to just do another one. I am super simple, with my hair literally either. Have it straight in a ponytail, curled bun or like half-up half-down little chop, not things, so I'm definitely better at makeup than I am at doing my hair. But I love super fast, simple, quick, easy hairstyles that look like they take a long time. They actually don't at all, so I'm gon na show you a couple steps how I do it this little cute little top knot, button thing. So what you'll need is just a couple bobby pins. Like usual little bobby pins, you will need a little like hair, rubber band elastic. That looks like this, something like those and then a hair tie like a regular hair tie and preferably one that matches or is similar to your hair color. Just in case, you can kind of see it a little bit and we're ready to get started. You can add something hairspray if you want to um, but again, so, just like the last hair tutorial that I did um, it really does help. If this is, I mean, doesn't really have to be second day hair, but it does help if it's a little bit dirty slash, curled, cramped, some sort of texture in your hair. In my experience that just helps me when I'm doing any sort of bun type look. So, first, what I'm gon na do I'm using the viewfinder as a mirror, so we'll see how this works, but I just go ahead and kind of brush my hair back. I take my two thumbs kind of right at like that outer perimeter of my forehead and then just go up the crown of my head and kind of pull that into a little ponytail. I don't like to get too much of my hair back. You want to kind of keep the rest down to kind of fluff up and cover your ears and stuff like that. So I take about that much and I'm just going to take my hair tie and tie it in a little ponytail, so just wrap it around a couple times. I like to put my ponytail more on the back of my head. So more back here. Not so up at the top, this is where your bun placement is going to be so just make sure that's all nice and secure, and then I like to go ahead and pull out some of the front pieces. Okay, so I almost forgot that you also do need a teasing comb brush whatever. This is just what I use and it works. For me, this is not anywhere near a teasing comb or whatever, but whatever it works. So I'm just gon na take what the hair. I have in my ponytail and just start teasing the root of it just to make it a little bit more fluffy a little bit easier to actually do the bun part of it. So once that is done, you can leave like this super cute, but cute, but we're not going to so what I do is if you have like a thicker head, thicker hair. You honestly can just wrap it around like this. If you want to and make it a bun looking like that, I'm going to show you the other way that I do it and it's with this little rubber band elastic thing. So I just go around the ponytail and kind of do like you're, making a bun. So I pull half of my hair through and then wrap it around again. So this is just with the elastic, and then you have something that looks like this. So now what you do is just kind of pick it apart and what I do is wrap it around in a circle. So this is what's gon na be bun the bun part and where I'm going to bobby, pin it down to my head. So what I do is just start with the back. I will just go ahead and secure that down so grabbing on to it and I'm just going to put that in place with a bobby pin. So now the back is like secure and then I'll kind of work from side to side. So I'll go ahead and pull this side around and kind of, pin it down just take. So if you're supposed to keep it messy, so it just takes a little bit of time to just throw it on there. So just pin that down and then I'll do the other side just wrap it around and pin yeah. So, basically, just going around and Bobby pinning all the sections down and then just kind of like picking it apart, so just kind of making it a little bit fluffier a little bit more messy and then just playing with it until you get your desired bun shape. But yeah guys, that's so it's so easy, it's so easy! And honestly, I struggled with this like hair style like making it look really cute for a long time like I would try to conquer it and make it look cute, and it just like would not work out for me until I finally found this technique of doing It and every single time it's made it so easy, so quick and it's so cute. It looks like it takes you forever to do when in reality, it literally takes you like five minutes and it's such a cute little hairstyle all day your hairs out of the face, and it's super fun and like super like girly and cute, I don't know. I love it so anyways. That'S basically a thank you so much and coming back and watching me. I always always always appreciate it so much and let me know if y'all try out this hairstyle. If you do tag me in some pictures, I would love to see your version of it. Probably this made it a little bit easier for you to kind of conquer this half-up half-down little bun same hairstyle. Let me know if you'll like these hairstyle videos and definitely comment down below some of the upcoming videos that you would love to see. Um anything will do. I would love to hear from you so yeah again, thanks for coming back and I'll see y'all next week. Bye

ava collins: Every time I do this hairstyle, when I take it down my hair wraps around my ponytail and makes a big knot. It wouldn’t be a very big deal, but I have super thick hair that’s down to my waist so I always have to cut the ponytail and it’s rlly annoying so I’m trying to find out how y’all do it

Just a little constructive criticism to help you gain more subscribers: If you want to appeal to more than just teenagers, watch the use of “like” “um” and “whatever.” Watch the higher pitches in your voice. Keep your videos succinct. Edit out the rambling. Start the video over if you have to. Take more time to think about what you are going to say and practice before you just put a video out there. The tutorial itself was good but I won’t be back. You know what they say: You only have one chance to make a first impression. Good luck.
