Subscribe, i make new videos once a year. What i actually use. Nobody cares, call me: okay, i have to hurry, i'm losing daylight, we're losing daylight, get it over with. Can you leaves my hair? Are you done? Oh? That is not soft. I have the softest hair in the world, wow hi guys. I am back sorry. I have not made a video in ages, but we're not going to focus on how inconsistent i am. Today we are going to focus on hair. I get asked all the time. How do i care for it? How is it so shiny? What do i use for it? How do i style it? So i'm here to tell you all about my tips and techniques that i use for my hair and just things that i happen to know about. Hair care from my mom who does hair and she's always given me the best advice in the world. I could sell you a million different products and a million different techniques to how i got my hair, so nice, but the simple truth is: i have naturally beautiful hair. That'S right! I'M perfect! No! I'M joking! I just want to say this because i don't want to sit here and sell you guys something that is unattainable. Hair is genetic. There'S, a very simple fact: there hair is genetic. Whatever hair we were born with, we have to work with. Okay, i'm telling you ways that i care for my hair, but i could have much different hair than the girl who's asking me who's. Trying to achieve this look i just want to put that in there as a disclaimer and one more very important disclaimer is when i say that my hair is beautiful or nice or manageable. I don't mean to say that other hair types are not every hair type. Is beautiful, i'm just addressing my own hair type because everybody asks about it. I just want to say that, because i think it's super important for girls to love the hair that they were born in my natural hair without blow dry is curly in some places. Wavy in some places and straight in other places and overall frizzy, it's not as perfect as it seems to be. I always blow dry, my hair immediately after i wash it. I don't remember the last time i let it air dry, but i'm just assuming my blow. Dried hair looks a lot better, so i'm just gon na keep blow drying it. My hair has also gotten so long in the past few years that i have turned to salons to wash and blow dry it for me. I still do it myself. Most of the time, i would say one out of three times: i'm getting it washed and blow dried at a salon. It is so much work. I hate blow drying my hair without further ado, my top 10 tips on hair care and how i care for my own hair. Since i already explained how much i loathe blow drying my hair, you can only imagine i don't wash it often. In fact, i only wash my hair about once a week. It may be gross to some of you, but a lot of you already understand the reasoning behind it. One i'm lazy, two having your natural oils is healthy for your hair. I know some girls have very oily hair and can't do this all different hair types have their own limit to how long it can be. Unwashed mine just happens to be every five to seven days. I also try to schedule my hair washes around my activities. If i'm gon na go for a run and sweat, my hair out, i'm probably gon na wash it right after i'm, not gon na wash my hair and then go to a hibachi grill, and let all that food steam into my hair and smell like a freaking Hibachi grill for the next week be smart about what you're doing so. You don't have to wash your hair as often trust me when i say most hair types don't need to be washed every single day. The most important reason to not over wash your hair is letting your natural oils keep your hair, moisturized protected and looking healthy. My second hair care tip is don't go cheap with shampoo and conditioner. A lot of the cheap brands will cause build up in your hair and they have a lot of chemicals that aren't supposed to be in your hair over time. This is gon na make your hair look really dull and dry. If you have been using really crappy products go to a local salon and ask for a clarifying treatment, this will strip your hair of all the stuff. That'S not supposed to be there and you'll notice immediately how much shinier and soft it feels. I would say for about the past 10 years i have been using redken's all soft, shampoo and conditioner. It really leaves my hair feeling super shiny and not heavy, because i have very fine hair, so the wrong, shampoo or conditioner can really weigh it down. Another product that i cannot live without is tea tree shampoo. This is in most salon. This is such a great product. It really gives you that super deep clean, especially if you're like me and only wash your hair once a week. It'S such a refreshing feeling it has that really minty feel i use this first and then i actually shampoo my hair. A second time with the redken and then just use the redken conditioner. So those are the products i use to shampoo and condition my own hair, but every hair type is different and you should definitely find a shampoo and conditioner that works best for your hair. Another tip, while washing your hair is use the correct water temperature. I know i know i like my shower water as hot as the fiery pits of hell just as much as the next girl. But the fact is: it's not healthy for your hair. It'S not healthy! For your skin either so try to make the adjustment, so you can properly take care of your hair and you're, not drying it out. When you're washing out your shampoo, you should have warm water when you're washing out your conditioner, you should actually have cool water to close the cuticles in your hair and lock in the moisture of the conditioner after you do that, you should always be applying a heat. Protectant, i've personally been using it's a 10 and they make a couple different kinds of this, but i i use light because i have very fine hair. This is one of my favorite products. If i ever have to blow dry my hair without it it's a nightmare. So definitely recommend this one. It'S important to be using good tools as well. I don't have a specific blow dryer that i recommend and the blow dryer that i've been using for so many years is actually back in florida. I still have half of my belongings there. So i've been using my boyfriend's blow dryer and it works fine. My recommendation is just get one that blows really hard. That'S what she said: one that has a lot of power to it. So when it's blowing, it really just dries your hair, fast and also one that has different heat settings, because every hair type is different, so you might need more heat or less heat depending on your hair type. Sometimes i just stop after my blow dry, because if i blow dry it properly, it's really just soft and straight, as is when i blow dry it really quickly. The technique is really messy and it leaves my hair super frizzy. So i'll have to go over it with the flat iron. I don't have the flat iron here with me once again. It is in florida with the rest of my stuff, but i will tell you i don't know if i'm saying this right, babeless babeless, baby, bliss i'll i'll, show you it's gon na be right here. I absolutely love it. It doesn't damage when you're using hot hair equipment. You should not be drying your hair, you shouldn't be putting on products that are not safe to use with hot tools. You should make sure your hair is fully dry before you use them titanium and ceramic, i think, are the best, but whatever it is, you should make sure that it's not damaging your hair. You shouldn't be hearing your hair sizzle when you're straightening it or curling it. You should not be smelling burning hair when you're styling it like common sense, get it together, stop ruining your hair. This is the curling iron that i use and it's from great value product. It'S i think, fifty dollars, i'm pretty sure this is a like discount brand, but this works so well. Every picture you see with my hair curled came from this if you're in a rush getting ready for work. This is very ideal because it heats up in seconds. It'S so fast and heating up and yeah. This is my favorite love. It i'd like to think that this next product is the single most important product for how my hair is so soft and shiny anytime people ask me this is what i recommend i have been using this for literally since i started styling my hair, it is chi. Silk infusion, it makes my hair feel like actual silk like when i'm done blow drying. I just apply a little bit of this, like literally a tiny dot, rub it through my hair like this, and i see the difference immediately. It feels like silk. It'S super shiny that feeling lasts for the next few days, just from that tiny little drop. So this is my absolute number one favorite product. I can switch shampoos conditioners, hair sprays, everything i cannot live without this one. Actually chi sponsor me. Let'S work! Something out call me if i do curl my hair, i use tresemme. I love this one. I'Ve been using this forever, also i'm a very loyal hair product person, because when i find something that works for me and my hair ties i'm holding on forever baby. The reason i love this so much is it does hold my curls, but it also lets them breathe. I don't like that super stiff, you know the extra hold hairspray. I don't want my hair feeling like plastic, so this is my favorite hairspray. This is the best. This is my absolute favorite dry shampoo. For those of you who don't know dry shampoo is a product that you use after a few days of not washing what it does is refreshes your hair, it kind of absorbs some of the oil it makes it smell better. This one smells so good. Well come on you're making me look bad. It usually smells very good um. I want to say, like some kind of cucumber smell, but you can get this at any drugstore and i've tried so many drugstore brands. I haven't tried a lot of high-end ones. I don't know if it's because i feel like dry shampoo is just like man, whatever i'm just like using it. When my hair is like, i i've already like lowered my standards for my hair. So much that i guess i don't care for high-end dry shampoo. Anyway, i have done a lot of research on drugstore dry shampoos, and this is the best one. Runner up would be the pantene. This is still better. Okay, just a couple of very very important tips left, and i can't make this video without telling you, even though they aren't products, it's so so important, probably the two most important hair care tips. I can give you number one. Is your diet, you're gon na hear this in any advice video i ever give you is eat healthy if you are eating enough fruits and vegetables and drinking enough water, it's going to reflect in your body in your skin in your hair, your eyes, your teeth, everything All your organs work better with water, drink, more water eat, more fruits and vegetables just eat healthy. You know, what's good, you know, what's bad, be smart about it, take care of yourself for more reasons than just your hair. But yes, this is a very important hair tip the best for last. The most important hair tip that i can give you girls today is stop over processing your hair. You are frying, it you're dying it you're, killing it it's breaking off. It looks like stop. Stop trying to look like this girl and that girl embrace your natural look for a little while and let that heal your hair is going to fall off. If you keep dyeing it even the hot tools, you have to be careful not to overdo it. If you're applying too much heat and over processing your hair and constantly trying to change it, your hair is going to look like sorry. I grew up with friends who dyed their hair literally every two weeks, and i watched their hair fall off my mom. On the other hand, wouldn't let me every time i wanted to dye it or change it if she thought that it was damaging for my hair. She wouldn't let me at the time i probably was really frustrated with her, but now looking back, i am so thankful that she didn't. Let me destroy my hair, so i don't look like half of you right now. I'M joking, i'm also so thankful for the knowledge that my mom has passed down to me for hair care and i'm happy that i can share it with you guys. This is really some of the best hair care advice that i can give to you. I'M sure that everyone in the hair industry can agree with it. I hope you have the willpower to stop ruining your hair and invest in some good products. I think that's it. I hope you guys make great use of all the advice i gave you. I hope you enjoyed having a look into my own hair care, if you have any questions, feel free to comment under if you like this, give it a thumbs up. If you found this video useful subscribe because i'm going to be making more videos on general advice on different topics, so you will probably find those useful as well also i'm just great so subscribe.

windaliz maldonado: My mom is a stylist too and you’re literally speaking FACTS, one of the few videos that actually speaks facts

laura woods: acknowledging the fact that your hair is completely different than other girls who are trying to achieve this look is so freaking amazing!! so much respect for you

Chezamoonangel AiEmma: That is how my mom is she did not let me dye my hair at all. I am happy she put her foot down because my hair is natural and healthy thanks to her. I am currently working on a hair growth and weight loss journey so it is going good. I loved your video it was so comfortable to watch and really good tips. New subscriber

vtx: Thank you for sharing your top ten hair tips. My hair starting growing once I stop dying it and once I stop using hot hair tools. Washing your hair once or twice a week also helps too : )

Cassidy Evans: You used every minute of those 14 to inform us and have fun doing it. Hope you make more in the future. YouTube needs to see more of you

Gianna Villacres: Thank you! I also have nice hair and people ask me how many times I wash it. I respond truthfully, once a week. And they look at me like they’re disgusted. It really helps keep my hair so healthy to not wash it

Alexia: I definitely agree with what you said about genetics. Glad you said it most hair tutorials don’t (at least that I have seen). If I put heat in my hair it makes it thinner and causes breakage. With your hair it probably doesn’t because it looks really thick. (My hair is thin). My hair went from being collar bone length to almost my butt and healthy when I removed heat. Regardless whatever you are doing works for you because your hair is beautiful!! Fanks for sharing

Sharatia Banks: THE BEGINNING! I'M WEAK GIRL YOU'RE HILARIOUS. I'm actually starting to grow my hair back. It's about that time. I lowkey miss my long hair

CyberWarezz05: True story:my hair was very thin a few years ago, so I decided to cut it into a pixie because even my boss was mocking me and saying that I should shower more.I let my pixie grow while taking good care of my hair:I used only high quality shampoo, conditioner and hair masks and I dyed it only with henna and indigo.Needless to say, I had an amazing black bob.My hair was shiny and healthy. So imagine my face when someone came to me and said, with genuine glee:"Wow, please tell me where did you bought your amazing wig??"

pls check newest video: I love how you get to the point and truth while being kind girly who cares you post once a year, I subscribed anywayyyyy

Maegan White: Please make more videos! Your personality is so fun and down to earth❣️

aleesha: I like how she said it’s genetics too. She’s straight up with y’all. It’s good

Elleena Parks: we have the same hair. and i use the same. exact. products. yaaaass girl and side note. i don’t use Pantene anymore because i read somewhere that the chemicals in the hair care line are the same chemicals found in floor-cleaning products. that’s a big no no for me

Emily Cestari: I was a jet mechanic in the Navy—the part where you said, “get one that blows really hard…heheh that’s what she said”, cracked me up ❤️ new subscriber! And thanks for the tips!

Bryanna Nicole: Omg we have the exact same hair type and use all of the exact same products I was so freaked out! The only problem that I have with my hair is breakage at the root you know the little halo of floating hairs? Yeah that's me, lolol. And it only got that way when I stopped putting heat on my hair and started taking care of it! It grew A LOT but breakage plagues me

Clara Magdalena: You could literally have a million followers! Keep going, I love your videos ☺❤

Keley M.: YES!! Thank you for your honesty and helpful tips!!

Mehrnaz Moussavi: Yeah, I stay away from bleaching my hair too. Some people really damage their hair.

Ma World: I literally loved your hair as much as I loved you and your personality girl!

Shantelle K: This video definitely does speak facts! I wish I could have a Best Friend like You!! ❤ I love your video!

Marleen G.: I have classic length (over the bum length) wavy hair and wash it once a week. Have you ever heard of the curly girl method? You don't have to follow the washing techniques or the recommendations, but the LOC/LCO method after washing (scrunching gel in and or a styling cream) and going with your natural texture would perhaps be nice? The "straighter" pieces might actually be heat damage.

ʜᴀɪᴠᴋʏᴜᴜ: HER PERSONALITY IS EVERYTHINGGGG

Bushra Alam: Thank you for the tips! What would you suggest about washing your hair less for someone who works out everyday?

HCC: You should definitely make more videos. I think you’ll definitely do great as a full time youtuber. As a suggestion, how to blow dry your own hair. Its something I’ve been wanting to learn forever! Thanks!

Tabia 2505: You literally are my role model if it comes to taking care of your own body

Laura loves yoi: I wash mine once a month since I have curly hair and my hairs been more softer lately :)

ASMR with Aurora Sky: Awesome video and beautiful hair! Thank you for this informative video… is the Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Shampoo a clarifying Shampoo or would you have to use a separate clarifying shampoo?

I’M ISSAH: Thank u:) my hair became so much shinier and healthier when I watched ur video:) btw love ur hair

Karolina Butlere: Thank you so much, this video was so helpful!

Y izzie B: Girl your hair is gorgeous!! Loved your tips darling !

optimus arnold: I would love to see a routine video where you are using all the mentioned products because I still have some questions like How often do you use the serum and how long do you keep your conditioner in your hair, how do you blow dry your hair? Please make another video ❤️

AnsAlli: Yes! Yes to this whole video.. i have very fine hair and I use all of the same products and they are a must for fine hair!

Mary Katherine Allen: I love using the tea tree shampoo that's the shampoo I use however the conditioner for me didn't make my ends soft in facts just made it dryer so i changed conditioners but the shampoo works wonders for me.

Stèphanie Coomans: Thank you! I have the same hair type as you so this is really useful

Stacy Abele: Hair develops a resistance to long gaps in between washes... I have hair that I sit on it’s so long and I wash it like once or twice a month (every 1-2 weeks essentially) but I still shower every 3 days at least lol... ANYWAY.... when my hair was shoulder length before I just decided to grow it out 10 years ago I was washing it every other day at the MINIMUM. Prolly daily... and as i started to grow it out, I not only dreaded the amount of work it is to shampoo/condition/treat while damp, and manage before its dry (usually throw it into pigtail braids to let it dry), I began washing my hair less and less when I would shower... ANYWAY... the longer I’ve allowed my hair to essentially just live without stripping it down with shampoo, the longer I’m able to enjoy hair that looks clean but really isn’t,,, basically you have to just let your hair get greasy for (on day 2, to 3, to 4, to 5, to 6, etc for as long as you’re able/willing) basically the longer you’re able to let your hair be dirty... after that wash, your hair will maintain cleanliness a little bit longer and eventually you’ll get to the point where your hair doesn’t get “greasy” in less than a week because you’re just letting it live. Side note, lol when I have bangs (aka hair touching my naturally oily skin), everything I said above becomes irrelevant... I can’t let my bangs go more than 24-32 hours before they look nasty... I wash my bangs every time I shower and seal the rest of my hair up... just as an extra tidbit of info lol

L: I wish I didn’t have to wash my hair as much but unfortunately for me, I have an overactive scalp forcing me to wash (at the latest) every other day...honestly it gets so oily it should be every day but I use dry shampoo in between washes. Sucks Edit: I use the Dove Dry Shampoo as well!!! The only downside is it runs out pretty quickly

Kimberly Nunez: Thank you for your honesty!! So many people try to sell HUNDREDS of products!!! Love youuuu!

Chu :3: I would really love to watch more videos from you, omg. *-*

M M: How often and how exactly do you use the redken clarifying shampoo? When using it, do you shampoo twice or just once and then use the conditioner?

Sky: You’re hair is the definition of perfect ❤️❤️❤️

SteelersGirl 30: Finally a beautiful woman with a personality!!! Love her!!

Gabrielle Pitts: If you made more regular videos I’d definitely subscribe!

Holistic Body Design: Nice with pointing out shampoo and conditioner quality! It's so important!

Nicole Nelson: I try to only wash my hair once or twice a week, but what do you do if you try to workout several days a week? It's hard not to wash your hair when it gets all sweaty

Sarah Kerns: I AM SO HAPPY YOU SAID HAIR IS GENETICS AND THAT YOU HAVE NATURALLY BEAUTIFUL HAIR. I have the same hair except my hair is curly/ wavy. It’s so shiny no matter what and only gets frizzy when I brush it too much. I will make once adjustment to what you said though. You don’t need “cool” or “cold” water at all when showering or taking care of your hair. Like at all. All you need is warm water and all you need to wash is your scalp. Conditioner is not for your scalp unless your hair is incredibly dry, or you’re getting a salon treatment.

Lea Lukek: You are stunnninggg but more importantly funny af ❤

Alma Gar: Your hair is to die for!

Yasmin Cysneiros: Love it!! I’ve always thought your hair was gorgeous you’re adorable ! ❣️

Sa Rè: What are ur thoughts on putting natural oils like argon or coconut oil in hair? Do they work, is it healthy? How often should I use them? I have really weak, long, frizzy curly hair that’s become really dull and dry. It’s a mess

Guest Account: 11:30 how long does it take to see visible results from diet?

Monica Czuchraj: Your hair is DAMMMMMNNNNN!!! And thank you for the message about hair being genetic. Mine it’s pretty thin and frizzy and breaks easily which I started to blame on colouring it BUT my little daughter has my exact same hair! Genetics :)

ǝoǝ: I have very frizzy hair, it is straight but it is very puffy and especially the ends, I dont blow dry my hair or towel rub it and I even sometimes use argan oil and coconut oil but it still goes frizzy after around 15 minutes. Please tell me how to treat this! xo

Julie Philippe: What do we do when we have grey hair ? I ve already tried henna but I don t like any of the colors you can get with it plus it takes forever to dye

kristin b: How do you feel about the love beauty and planet shampoo and conditioners?? Or do you have any drugstore alternatives that are actually good and wont damage your hair in the long term :(

S: Girl, make more videossssss!

Darnitthelma: This just made me order Tresemme heat spray which I did use for years & aaaaaaalways made my hair feel amazing if I blow dried it. Somehow along the way I stopped using it?! I don’t blow dry much or use heating tools (maybe for a special occasion) but am blonde so I won’t get the reflective shine you have. Beautiful hair my love!! but yes diet & water makes a huge difference to hair skin nails & mentality!! Without a doubt!

Mariah Harris: Beautiful you should do a makeup tutorial!

Dire Darlings: Do I don't use a whole lot of products in my hair, other than oils and heat protectants, but I've never before invested in a quaility shampoo and conditioner. My hair generally straight and fine but the bottom half of my hair is dry-frizzy. Do you think my hair will still benefit from a clarifying treatment? It's mid-thigh length and I've been growing it for 7 years. Is the clarifying treatment easy to do at home? Is there another brand other than Redken that you would recommend? Too many articles I read give advice the contradicts itself, it's hard to find good tips!

Cat Goes Meow: The biggest tip is to NOT USE HEAT. Go with the flow of your hair and work with it

Olivia Colon: That’s all I also use some product like leave in conditioner or some detangling product and Henry brush. PEOPLE SAY NOT TO BRUSH WHEN YOU HAVE WET HAIR but they say this bc if you do you’ll cause breakage so for me if I brush my hair when it’s dry it’s gonna frizz up so just be gentle with your hair when brushing if wet

Chinell7: Just bought the CHI serum because of you, gurl ✨

Agata Sobocińska: Advice from a Tricologist : wash it as often as your SCALP needs to. Hair has nothing to do with how often you should wash it ;)

UNDETERRED: Good to see you making this years video! Would love to send some gear you way!! Sent you a DM on Instagram

M: I really wished she posted more ): she seems like a fun youtuber to watch

JLO Productions: GURRLLLL you look flawless just saying ;) love the vid! Hair goals :D

Megan Harangozo: What’s a good shampoo/conditioner for short thick hair?

Emma Goodrich: How often do you use the redden pre art shampoo, and tea tree shampoo? Thanks :)

BIDÓ: I hate that I used to wash my hair once a week also, but now I have a much more active lifestyle and sweat so often that i have to wash it at least 2 to 3 times a week and my hair is now soooo damaged. It really makes a difference to let natural oils do their job.

Alicja Soroka: Please make more vids! Your amazing!

maddy hays: it is good to apply warm water to your hair SCALP. i read an article on it and it like breaks down the buildup of your oils and product buildup. if you go to get a scalp massage they’ll usually steam your scalp like you do your pores. silly but cool

𝕊𝕥𝕚𝕩𝔾𝕝𝕠𝕣𝕖ツ: I have the same fine hair as you so I will definitely take these tips into consideration

Etzgold Kelechi: Girl, l love your tips.

haha dada: Thank You for the tips

Hummingbird Graphics: Thanks for the tips! Shame you don't make more videos!

Kimberley Graafmans: For anyone who's been trying to find these products: it's Redken instead of Redkin ;)

Savannah Cameron: I absolutely love her hair it's so luxurious and beautiful lol

Sofie Leiton: What is your hair routine on most days when u don’t shower (including hair styling)

Tacos2332: Oooooo do a get ready with me morning routine ⚡️❤️ & maybe a makeup routine? I LOVE YOUR SHIRT BTW

Sara Athena: Some people have hair textures that have to sizzle in order to curl. I have hard to curl hair so I curl at 430 degrees F and hold for 30 seconds. Thankfully I rarely curl it. I have extremely healthy hair.

Ashley Pauley: I have long straight fine hair. I don’t use heat at all or tight hairstyles much. My problem I notice the sides of my hair dosnt grow as fast as the rest and has more breakage. The back of my hair looks way more healthy then the sides.

Tierdabear :3: 3:23 it's not gross to me because of the thickness of my hair and because I have 4c hair I wash it once every 2 weeks because oil barely produce in my hair so it's not really naturally greasy :)

Ashley Wyatt: That chi serum is that truth and a little goes a long way it last forever. Totally worth it.

darina: Me who braid my hair every night and only use some baby oil, conditioner, brush my hair gently and it looks just like that️️

daisy molina: WHAT?! Makes a video one a year?! You need to upload more I love your personality ❤️❤️❤️

Ashley Prak: Ahhh thanks for the tip to the road of a glow up :>

Miss. Minimalist's Diary: What a beauty ! Need an overall beauty regime not only hair

nayeli Flores: What do you think about using a silk pillow? Is there actually benefits

Shapaura McDonald: Could you try making a video where you try eating rice for lunch and dinner to grow your hair 2 inches in 2 weeks please? What worked for me was eating rice for lunch and dinner. My hair grew 5 inches in 2 months. Rice might be the trick because I had waistlength hair since I was about 6 years old to about 15 years old then i cut it and rice was always in my diet. I just decided to eat rice with lunch and dinner and grew it longer faster. It took about two weeks to grow it 2 inches. Rice was not in my lunch diet until trying this method I made up.

Leya Das: Can you please do a video of your fitness routine please?

Lissy Wölfel: Your energy is sooooo magnetic, very sympathic

Lauren J: Watching this in 2019. my hair is around bra strap length. Ask me how long my hair is a year from now

Kerri: As soon as you said "haha that's what she said" I subbed cause I knew that you're my kind of person lol Thank you for the tips!!!

Abby N Middleton: Loved these tips! I put your video in my blog! :)
