Hey guys welcome back to my channel, my name is Lena if you're new today we're gon na be talking about how I take care of my hair as a hijab', and also I want to give you guys some practical tips that you can use to prevent. Hair loss, hair loss is actually a huge concern among hijabis, it's very, very common, and I wanted to get into like what is the cause of this hair loss and like why it's happening thinning around the edges of your hair and like a receding hairline that is Caused by improperly wearing your hair underneath the hijab whenever we are literally pulling back our hair and just like pulling it into a really tight bun. All of this hair right here is being pulled so tight that it actually causes a receding. Hairline wearing hijab doesn't actually cause thinning of the hair. Naturally, every single day we lose at least 50 to 100 strands of hair and when wearing hijab, we don't see it that naturally falling throughout the day when we take off our job. At the end of the day, we see all of this hair come out at the end of the day, and especially if we have long hair, it can look like a whole lot of hair that we're losing. But in reality it's just normal because we're not seeing it fall throughout the day. Another reason it may look like a lot of hair is that if you don't wash your hair every single day and you don't brush your hair every single day, then in the shower every two to three days, you're literally losing hundreds of strands of hair. But it's actually normal, but it just looks like a whole lot at once. Those are some little things I wanted to mention in the beginning, because it may look like you're losing a lot of hair and you might be blaming the head job, but actually that's not the case. So, let's get into my top 5 tips for caring for your hair as a hijab' and how to prevent hair loss so number one. I wanted to talk to you guys about how I wear my hair underneath my hijab, so to avoid any kind of pulling. I will part my hair on either the middle or either side and I'll pull it down. Now, that's just gon na avoid you pulling your hair straight back and pulling it into a tight bun. This will be a lot less pulling on the front of your hair. If that makes any sense, so I part it, I pull it back and down, and I put it in a half, ponytail and I'll insert a picture. If you guys don't know what that is, but it's basically as you're pulling your hair through the hair tie. You just don't pull it through all the way and it creates a little loop and that's just the best way that I found to do my hair so that it doesn't pull and doesn't like create that really tight bun underneath my hijab. Another tip is that you want to alternate your part, so I always parted my hair, on my left hand, side for, like my entire life, and I do have a little bit of a receding, hairline right where I parted it. So I try now to always part it either in the middle or on the right hand, side and just to like switch it up and not to part your hair on one side for years and years, because that can cause a receding hairline there as well. The second thing that I wanted to mention are the hair ties that I use, so I used to use just the regular like elastic hair bands and those just started to really like make my hair feel like I was just pulling it so tight, and it would Also create a bend in my hair like when I would take my hair down at the end of the day, so I started using these like a little plastic coiled hair ties. I think the brand name is called invisible, but I got these at Target they're. Just like the off-brand, these are amazing I switched over to these. I don't use those other hair ties anymore, and these don't pull my hair. They don't leave a little bend in your hair whenever you take it down at the end of the day and they're. Just really really comfortable that you can also use just like a scrunchie like anything, that's kind of like thick and soft and won't like pull your hair too much. I definitely recommend you switching from your normal hair elastic bands, something like this or like a scrunchie number. Three is how I brush my hair, and I always wait until my hair is like wet after I put in conditioner, and I use a wide tooth comb. The basic idea behind all these tips is that you don't want to do anything. That'S going to pull your hair, so I definitely would wait until your hair is like silky and soft after conditioner and like then, you can go through your hair with a wide toothed comb or even a tangle teezer. If your hair just gets super super tangled, but just avoid it like pulling it too hard on your hair and creating that tension so that we can avoid any kind of receding. Hairline number four is a tip that you guys have heard so many times before. But it's not washing your hair every single day, so I wash my hair every like two to three days and it's just way better for your hair so that you don't like strip the natural oils out of your hair every day and cause it to be dry And frizzy it just really helps your hair. She like maintain, moisture and to be a lot more healthy number. Five is actually the way that I wash my hair. You definitely want to make sure that you're only using your shampoo at your roots and that's just because you're trying to get rid of any of the oils, and you really want to keep that part more dry, but then using it more towards the ends. It'S really gon na dry out your hair and it can cause it to be more brittle, so I always focus this shampoo around my scalp and then I leave the conditioner to like the like lower half of my hair towards my ends. One tip that I want to give you guys that you guys are going to love. My hairdresser actually gave me this tip and you know when you go to the hairdresser and they scrub your scalp like so well when they're washing your hair, and it just feels so so good and it feels like so clean for like the next two days or So so I was asking my hairdresser like how do I do that, like at home, like how can I make it feel like that clean? She said that the easiest way to do that is to literally just flip your hair, like upside down. Like flip your head upside down and scrub that way - and it's just like so much easier to scrub whenever your hair is upside down. I know that sounds really weird, but, like just trust me and try it, it will literally change the way that you wash your hair. Your scalp is just like your skin on your face or your body, and it needs to be exfoliated, so this will definitely help the health of your scalp. So as far as the products I use, I wasn't even going to share like the products I use because, to be honest, they're, like nothing special like they're, really simple. I have like the most like minimal basic routine when it comes to my hair, and that's mainly because I just don't like the feeling of like product in my hair, like I want it to feel like super light and airy, and I just don't like heavy products In my hair and some of these I even get from the drugstore, I'm not like super like fancy or anything when it comes to my hair care. But then I was like okay well, maybe some people would still want to know what I use, and maybe some of these products would work for you. So let me tell you guys a little bit about my hair, so it's like a wavy texture and it gets a little bit. Frizzy sometimes and I do have balayage so I have like bleach and color on it as well. So I try to avoid anything that has sulfates or anything. That'S gon na really like strip my hair of like my color and of like hydration, and I also suffer from dandruff and I actually suffered from this way before hijab. So it doesn't have anything to do with my hair job. It'S just always something that I have struggled with and I used to use products from the drugstore for that, and I just didn't like how harsh and strong they were on my hair and just like the way that smells and everything. So let me go ahead and show you guys what I use as far as like my shampoo and conditioner, so the shampoo that I've used for eight years that has really really helped me - is the Jason Shan dandruff relief. This really helps with my dry scalp. It'S the two-in-one, shampoo and conditioner, and it smells a little bit like head and shoulders, but it's much much more like mild. So I really really love this product so a for conditioner. I absolutely love this. You can get it from the drugstore. I use the OGX brand. This is called coconut curls. I absolutely love the way it makes my hair feel after I've taken a shower. It just makes it like feel so. Silky and smooth and like you, can just literally get this from the drugstore. It'S so so good as far as products that I leave in my hair after the shower. This is the bumble and bumble hairdressers and visible oil. You guys, I am so so picky when it comes to like oils or like leaving conditioners or anything in my hair, because I do not want to feel it in my hair. I don't want to weigh me down. I don't want any of that, like sticky or like heavy feeling. It is called the invisible oil for a reason. You cannot see it. You cannot feel it. I literally don't know how they created this oil because it just does not feel oily at all. It comes out in a little pump and just like you just need, like the tiniest amount, I have like medium to long hair and I use like one to two pumps and it just works so so well - and I am obsessed with this, so if you guys Are looking for something to leave in your hair to like combat frizz or anything after the shower? I definitely recommend you guys checking this one out. I'Ve used this on wet hair and on dry hair, and it just works so so good. Okay. This is another drugstore product that I've used on my hair for years. It is so so cheap like I don't even know it's probably like three dollars or less or something like it's ridiculous, but it works so so good. I don't even care what the price is. If it works like I'm gon na use it, so this is the Garnier Fructis sleek and shine leave-in conditioner, and you cannot feel this in your hair when you put it in, like, I literally can put like the largest amount of this in my hair, and I Still cannot feel it. This really really smooths out my curls and it really combats frizz. So the two of these, this leave-in conditioner with the bumble mobile oil. It'S like my go-to. I know that these are both on like opposite ends of the spectrum like this is from Sephora, and this you can literally get at Walmart, but I just use what works like. I don't really care like what the price is. I'Ve tried a lot of like drugstore products, and I've tried a bunch of like high-end like products that can get from your hairdresser and at these two are the products that have worked for me the best. So I really recommend you guys checking these out if you're more on a budget. I definitely recommend you guys checking this one out. It'S the most amazing leave-in conditioner that I've ever tried. The last tip that I wanted to leave you guys with is as hijab'. So we tend to just kind of forget about our hair sometimes, and we just like leave it up in a bun for months and months, and we just never style it and we never do anything with it. And we just kind of forget about it, and I wanted to encourage you guys to just really try to take care of your hair style it like once a week or something just for you. It doesn't matter if nobody else is going to see it. But just you, knowing that, like your hair, looks good and that you look good like it gives you so much confidence, and it really just gets you out of that rut of like feeling like you're, sick of your job and, like you, hate that you can't fix Your hair, like just because you wear hijab, does not mean that you can't fix your hair. I personally go and get my hair done like every three months and I go getting like balayage and I have her like fix it for me and style it for me, and I have our take pictures on my hair and then I can show it around to Like all my sisters and friends and all that kind of stuff, so it just really gives me a lot of confidence, so I definitely recommend you guys just really putting that time and effort into your hair. I know what we can forget about it, because it's just in a bun all day, but I really think that taking care of it really can help with our confidence and can just make us feel even happier while we're wearing hijab so yeah. I hope that you guys enjoyed my tips and that you got something out of this video leave below any, like tips that you guys have about hair loss or how to take care of your hair or, if you have any products that you could recommend to me, That do not feel heavy or oily or anything in your hair. Please leave them down below. I love you guys so much, and I will see you guys in my next video bye,

2ndToshikoIsBack: I’m so thankful you have approached this topic, I feel like often people forget hijabis even HAVE hair!

TheTurtleWave: This is helpful! I bun my hair regardless and have dealt with thinning all my life. I'm converting to Islam and cannot wait to wear a hijab! 3-21-19

Salma e: hi Leena, i am a silent viewer but i wanted to let u know that i love ur content! as a muslim girl living in europe i always struggled to find the perfect hijab style for my face shape without showing my neck or hair. I have a really similar face shape to yours and never found the right style until i found ur hijab tutorial on youtube! it sound silly but i wanted to take off my hijab so many times because i didnt feel comfortable at all with my hijab style - i hated how it made my face looks like. your hijab tutorial made me love wearing my hijab so much and how my face looks in it!!!! i also love that u dont show ur hair and neck and that u dont wear really tight cloth but always keep it modest! wish u the best!

SAAD ALAM: Sister leena ,the most common cause for hairloss in girls who cover up is less amount of vitamin D . So taking supplements and soaking in the sun every morning 15 mins works wonders

Lizzie Friz: *slightly unrelated question* Would it seem rude for a non-Muslim person to wear a hijab? Spiritually I feel compelled to wear one, but nervous I would offend the community.

M b: When I was in school. I used to do my hair so tight with my cap under my hijab because I hated it feeling loose, and when I would take it off my god my scalp would be in so much pain! I never knew this would be the reason my hair started thinning ubtil I was a lot older ‍♀️

Saraa xx: Reading the title made me feel super grateful for this video alreay! Thanks Leena, you are an inspiration!

Rebel For Ever: Thank you Leena . It's a great timing . My hair started falling a lot this summer and I really needed some tips to take more care of it .

Merisa Ahmetasevic: This is so much needed!Thank u Leena.Every hijabi needs to watch this!It really helps.❤

E.B. Davis: Thank you for this!!! I started wearing tichel a couple months ago and it's been honestly life changing. I know that it's not quite the same as hijab but I love how my relationship with G-d has changed, so seeing tips like these to make sure I'm doing things in a way that won't damage the hair I've been given is wonderful. Thank you!!!

Naz Shams: I really like the way u do hijab...its so modest.

Mariam: Hey Leena! Great tips on alternating the parting & switching from the rubber ties! I'm so guilty of just pulling my hair straight back in a bun coz it doesn't really matter with my hair type & style. Any chance you can do a video (maybe with the help of one of your sisters or a non hijabi-friend with long hair) on how you prevent your hair from showing in the back when you wear Chiffon/Georgette hijabs in light colors? My hair is growing so fast now & I swear this is becoming such a problem for me since my undercaps won't cover the back without being pinned :( :(

monny1emano: BLACK SEED OIL is such a good pre-showering treatment. Honestly, since using it my hair has improved greatly in terms of health and volume. Put it on your scalp for 30 minutes, then wash it out, and voila: healthy hair. My hijab issues tend to stem from lack of volume and flat hair, so if anyone has tips for that, I would love some!

Khairul Niza: You honestly make me love wearing my hijab

Nada El: This is such a well thought video. I love the creativity and how whoever is watching this is learning so much. Thanks ❤️

Nish Naaz: Definitely,I am a hijabi..... This tips are exactly need to know by every single hijabi..... Loved the tips and helped a lot... Love uh!!

Sarah Elsayed: I wish I knew this earlier but to be honest I've always loved the mini face lift I got with the tight bun pulled back lol but after doing it for so long, I realized how much my hair line has receded especially from the sides lol oh well.. you can't have everything.. Thanks for the tips <3

johnwaynepresley: loose braids helped me, not washing my hair daily also helped, i also stopped wearing caps underneath because i noticed the cotton ones i used really really dried out my hair and made it fall, try not to use strong shampoos and conditioners, and i also heard that the hair is most sensitive when it's wet so not to comb it unless it's dry...i know this contradicts what she says...but she did say to be gentle so be gentle when ya'll brush girls...coconut oil at the ends is also helpful.

Noor Hafsa: Assalam alaikum leena, thank you so much for sharing these haircare tips! I have been wearing hijab for like 7 years now, and i always felt that iam not taking enough care of my hair.....after watching this.. I tried few of your tips...and i have already started getting results,!!

Shield Maiden: So glad to see a video on this issue. I got a Vitamin D deficiency from wearing hijab, but I lived in a northern climate and am very fair. The antidote was a Vitamin D pill every day.

MAY ADE: Thank you Leena I really love those tips especially the one about styling your hair every 3 months

Sofiya: Jazakallah khair for the tips, Leena ❤️ I’d just like to say that even though I am a hijabi myself (Alhamdulilah) I always style my hair everytime i am at home, i just love my hair too much Mashallah! I take care of it like it is a living human ❤️✨ Love you leena much love from Canada ✨

Noor Twakkal: I’m a hijabi myself and I found all of these tips you suggested so good

Chana Abadi: So many people think that Hijabis don‘t need to take care of their hair as much because they don‘t show it. I love that you shared these tips in so much detail so people who don‘t wear Hijab also get a better understanding. It‘s not always convenient and can be very time consuming. I have so much respect for Hijabis, God bless .

Sekar Wulan Herdiningrum: I’ve always been liking your posts. Love this video too as I find all the tips to be useful and practical. Even more, the way you approach the subject . Yay to more videos like this! Keep up the excellent work, Leena! You are such an inspiration

Dorothea: When you're a hijabi but you've got a curly hair

Mariam Maged: Almond oil is so good for hair loss. and by the way, loved your tips.

Wafa: You are seriously the cutest ever! I agree with your tips as a long time hijabi. The last one, about actually taking the time to style it and such is so important, and one that I often ignore myself. One product that has worked for my wavy frizz prone hair is DevaCurl styling creme. It’s so emollient and rich and really help define my curls. I especially like it in the winter.

Angela Braverman: Hi Leena! I love watching your channel and have learned so much about other cultures and religion through you! Thank you for that! I was just curious if Hijabi women wear their Hijabs at all times or if you take them off while at home and not in public? Keep up the good work ❤️

M.: black seed oil is so good, it really helped with my dry, flaky, itchy, inflamed scalp + it's sunnah <3 also my hair has really benefited from me leaving products that contain silicones + sulfates (aka curly girl method but u don't actually have to have curly hair to benefit from it)

Aliya Huet: I personally love tying my hair up into a half-ponytail on the crown of my head (nothing too ridiculous, just for a pinch of volume) - but for the life of me, no matter how loose I tie it or how gentle my scrunchie is, it always tugs on my hair I've now just resorted to clipping it up with a big clip

Ana Afrida: I'm a new hijabi, so it's really helpful to find tips like this. Thanks! :)

Fatima AlMadhloum: Thank you SO MUCH for this video !! Many simple tips make sense & i realized i make most of the mistakes !! Thanks Leena ❤️ god bless

ZakiChoa: For me I use aloe gel and massage a little bit into my scalp. Personally, I keep my hair down and out of the bun and use a under scarf with another open end. When I take everything off I massage my scalp and gently run my fingers through it. For me, this helps my hair. I have curly hair that sometimes is out of control haha.

sab: Late tip: In order to not put as much stess on the hair closer to your face, try tying up the hair in the back first (making that the focus for most of the strain), and then adding the hair around your face/on top of your head to the bun using another elastic/scrunchie. It helps a lot, and is way more merciful on your hairline ☺️

Det3ctive Conan: The hijab makes people respect you, to the point that any one who encounters you MUST respect you. Hijab demands respect.

Sana Almas: Needed it!!! Thankyou for ALL of your videos they all are soo perfect for me :")

Saman A: Thanks for this video & for sharing the products, I feel it's such an underrated topic people rarely talk about hijabees having hair. Ps. Ginger juice is amazing for curing dandruff. Works wonders!

Marie: Hijabis: try the “Knekki” hair ties. They are kinda expensive for hair ties ($2.5 for one), but trust me, it’s so worth it!

M Can: This is such a nice, calm and informative video! Much love ♡♡

maisa ahmed: Finally!!!! A video about how to take care of your hair as a hijabi..... Thank you sooooo much .

Maria M: I loved this vid I'll definitely be taking your advice on and love the end message! Much love Xx

nusaiba shamsi: The problem I face the most being a hijabi is the sweat. I live in a very humid climate sweat is everywhere. That is the only reason of my hair loss. Kindly add a tip for that too. Thanks :)

Maram mostafa: Nice video leena! I am really happy that you talked about this problem

Zulaikha Yaseen: Yall this is my unbelievable story about the hijab Read this if you have hope❤️ So I was born with a heart syndrome named “hypo plastic left heart syndrome” it’s basically where you heart is halted bc the other half cannot generate properly. The doctors told my parents what will basically happen to me as I grow up and one of the things we’re not being able to grow out my hair. This is because my heart won’t be able to pump blood properly. And my hair Didn’t grow. When I was 0-2 years old I was bald. 3-5 my hair was like a boys. 6-9 I had my hair just below my ears. I didn’t care about my hair at the time so neither did I care about how I looked. My hair stayed in this position until I started wearing a hijab which was when I turned 10. I never really cared about my hair and wasn’t paying attention to how much it was growing. I kept my hijab on for nearly 2 years but when I turned 11 I started my period, and I wasn’t worried because Iv heard of this stuff but until one certain week my persuaded were very heavy. This went on for 2 weeks and we went to the hospital. The doctors said they do have tablets that can stop this but if I take them it will stop my heart as I’m under another tablet to keep my heart going for my syndrome. So there was nothing they could do about my periods but they could give me tablets that kept my energy levels normal and my iron up. My periods went on like this for a year. It was very tiring and during time went on I kept fainting and feeling absolutely warm in winter and I was scared of what would happen in summer. My parents told me that we need to go to the doctors. The doctor told me my head is getting to warm and she started talking about a head warming thing... it had a special name but I forgot. She told me that my head is warming up because of the hijab. Now don’t call her racist or somet like that because she was a Muslim too and was wearing a hijab like I was. My parents told me to take my hijab off and that it was because of my health. Only for school tho. The next day it was a Thursday and I refused to take my scarf off. But I fainted again and my parents told me it was for my own good and it won’t be bad and that it’s for my health issues. The next day I took my scarf off. By the time I was 12 and my hair was always in a bun and I took it out. I was shocked. So we’re my parents. My hair was longer than my sisters and mothers. It was just above my hips. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I bought if never have long hair and I knew it was the hijab. How else would have my hair grew 12 inches in a year???? Now I am 13 and my hair is half way down my butt (I didn’t wanna day that) and I still keep my hijab on. Just not in school. And I don’t put it on tight and I don’t wrap it around my neck or head I just lay it on my head and my hair is growing tremendously fast and I don’t do anything to it at allll. Nothing like rice water or tuff you will find on internet. I don’t use heat like straighteners or curlers even hair dryers. ❤️ I’m so happy. I hope I reach my desired hair length

Tasmia Tabassum: Thank you so much, Leena... This is a very helpful video sister ❤️❤️❤️

Amanda McMahon: We have found that the ginger shampoo from the body shop best for itchy scalps and dandruff, seems to work well

W!&84 !: Very satisfied, with those last lines, I myself being a hijabi do so just to make myself feel loved and to boost the confidence... I can say that v hv some similarities when it comes to hair care

Ahlam: So blessed to know you and thankful for your advices! I will try some of your fav products for hair ♥️♥️♥️ keep slayin girl #girlpower

Dana Perez: Hi Leena! I'm not muslim but I feel this is such a great topic to talk about for hijabis. I have very thin hair so I just wanted to share a few of my tips: - It's not good to brush your hair while it's wet because it is at its most fragile state. You should wait until is almost dried at least. - Also, brush your hair from the tips to the scalp, this avoids breaking the hair when you have knots and if you have thin hair, avoid brushing it. Comb it instead. - Brush or comb your hair before going to the shower. This will help shampoo and products reach better. - I've been using castor oil for a month or so and it has really helped me strengthen my hair and grow. This oil is thick which might be annoying but I just split my hair and put a few drops on my scalp and massage it, so it's not that bad. - After you take off your hijab, let your hair loose for a bit and massage it right after you untie it. It'll make your head feel good :)

MsMuslimahgirl: mA, love this. thank you!! now i need someone with coily hair to share their routine lol

Aysha Sunaina: I totally love watching your videos (especially now that I get to watch more :D). You have done so much research for us! Jazakallah Khair! xo

reema rere: Thank you leena ! A much needed topic and when it is coming from a hijabi that is amaazing !!!

Sakinah Hur: Assalaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatahu... One issue which must be addressed about hair loss for Muslimeen is Vit. D deficiency... Anything below 40 is ideally too low... Taking supplements of more than 2000 IU with Calcium / Magnesium 1000 / 500 MG helps with overall health... Thank you for sharing... Take care and be true to your heart With Peace Sakinah

purple9rain: Also can put your hair in a braid and leave it hanging under your undershirt or put it in front over your shoulder and the bulk of your scarf will cover it. No pulling on the hair at all! Or else after braiding, put it in a a half loop low ponytail.

M Can: Also I wanted to ask, if you have long hair (all the way down my back) would you still recommend doing my hair the same way? Doesn't it itch the back of you neck or come out of your scarf?

Rukaiya Reeza: omg ive been doing the parting in the middle and low bun for years too!

Feyza Akinci: I struggled with oily hair in many years. Here are my solution: 1- Use Water-AppleCiderVinegar-Lemon rinse before washing your hair. Let it stay for half an hour. 2- Use a natural shampoo 3- Use Coffee mask in the shower. You scrub this into your scalp and all of your hair. It makes it so soft and easy to dry. You mix 50gram coffe powder with little bit of lemon, olive oil and sweet almond oil. You leave it in for 20 min. And wash it out. It doesnt get out so easy so I use a natural shampoo bar to wash it 1-2 times before washing it with the shampoo.

Carla Sylla: You have to give me some tips for the chiffon hijab! They always slip and I am terrible with pinning them . Yours always look so clean and neat!

Nesh Kitchen: Thanks for sharing this video, answered so many of my questions. I also shared your channel with my sisters and they like it as well. Thank you

Lamz: Aaaww this is a such needed video! So inspiring and beautiful mA! <3

Rafiya Haque: Organic Coconut oil massage has really helped with my hair overall personally. Allhamdulillah.

nikkislate: Thank you for the amazing tips! <3

Karina Rodriguez: Thanks for the hair tips!

Ola Turkey: avoid parting your hair before putting on your hijab because the friction can lead to thinning

Massi-Margie Mahiout: Great tips although I don't agree on your tip #4. I wash my hair everyday, shampoo and condition. Not everyone can or cannot wash their hair everyday, but washing it every 3 days or so is also bad for some. If you have an oily scalp, it will cause more build up or Sebum build up. If you have oily scalp, must wash more often. Brush hair daily. People has misconception of brushing or NOT brushing their hair daily. Lose dead hair will accumulate and collect if you don't brush daily by then, most that doesn't brushes their hair thinks they are loosing many hair, (great tip) yes, we should brush out our hair daily.

Ahlam Abdurahman: Hey Leena! Thanx for all ur gr8 videos. I am more of a DIY natural girl, so I recommend you rinsing with vinegar mixed water. It kept mine away for long{i.e. the dandruff}. May Allah make it a medicine for us.

ernie: Thank you Leena for making this video, very informational. Love from Singapore!

Sana: Thank you for the tips! I have hair loss because of how tight i wear my hijab. ❣️

AN Dromeda: This was awesome! Thanks so much Leena!

Leena E: Such a useful and informative video!

cookiesncream: this is so helpful thank you!!!♥️

Raefa Yasin: I think you should try Prose hair products. They're customized to suit you and made with all natural ingredients. I struggled a lot with dandruff and mostly hair loss and omg the best decision I've ever made was to invest in these products. It'd be so cool if you could try them out and do a review on them. Wish you the best and awesome video!!

Ericka Espn: Hi Leena. My name is Ericka. If you like the OGX coconut conditioner, you definitly have to try their "argan oil of morocco" shampoo/conditioner. I switched to it about year ago and my hair looks and feels like I invest much more time and money in it. Especially, at my age that it starts to have more gray and lack the natural oils. I'm 44, and I just wanted to share with you that I've been a muslim for only a bit over 2 years in a mostly catholic society, and have been wanting to wear the hijab for a while now, but has struggled with a lot of preassure, mostly at work, for fear of not getting my contract renewed if I did. Your videos have given me a lot of hope of successfully surviving the change and the courage to take the step. SubhanaAllah, with this horrible situation of the COVID19, now affecting my country and having to work from home, Allah SWT has made things easier on me to make the decision. Please make a dua for me. Assalamu aleikum

But now i like it. :) I feel its part of me and my personality. I swiched to use more herbal products like soap nut to shampoo and alovera with 2 drops of black seed oil I blend the gel and oil then apply it to my hair. Loving your self and every single part of you . Can reduce stress.as well. And we are all beautiful and deserve to be loved from our selves.

MsMuslimahgirl: have you tried the ginger shampoo from the body shop? its supposed to help with dandruff

mary magdalene: Make sure you do not pull the hair tight cause tension on the hair root can damage the hair root.

Israa Muhammad: I would suggest you to use a low pH shampoo ie. acidic shampoo ( preferably around 3 - 6 ) as they protect the natural oils and seals the cuticle and prevents dry, frizz, and breakage. I've personally seen a big difference using a low pH shampoo. It did reduce my dandruff and I find my hair more strong, smooth and shiny :) pH of hair is usually around 4.5 - 5.5 and healthy hair usually resides around this pH. High pH or alkaline shampoos are harsh making it prone to brittle, frizzy, and dry hair. It does harm the cuticle. If you're using a high pH shampoo, do an ACV rinse after to neutralize it (still not suggested since it doesn't fully come back to the pH of your scalp/hair). Even during chemical hair treatments including hair colour, what happens is you introduce a product which is alkaline in nature, so even if you try to neutralize/balance it, it doesn't come back to the pH level and too much shift in the pH level of your hair will actually damage your hair. (that is why you find colour-treated hair needs more care and it isn't safe to dye your hair often as it is prone to brittle hair which leads to split ends and breakage) P.S:- Quick Crash Course on Chemistry for those who have skipped classes :) pH is the strength of hydrogen ion concentration in a substance. The amount of hydrogen depends on whether a substance is acidic or alkaline. It ranges from 0-14. 7 is the neutral point which is neither acidic nor alkaline. Below pH 7 is acidic and Above pH 7 is alkaline. With Love, Israa
