Silkout Hair Care System Review & Demo | Plus 4 Months Post Relaxer, Transitioning To Natural Update

SILKOUT HAIR CARE SYSTEM

https://silkoutsystem.com/

I'm currently 4 months post relaxer, transitioning to natural hair. I have been encountering tangles, knots, and matting. The Silk Out System helped me blow out and flat iron my hair even while going thru these challenges. I also include some texture shots in the video to show you how my new growth is coming in.

Hey everyone, so i'm going to show you guys how my hair went from looking matted and crazy like this to sleek and straight like this, let's get started, i want to send a thank you to the silk out company for sending me their blowout brush and their Flat iron so i'll be giving you guys a review of these products, and it also comes with the shampoo, the conditioner and a silk out serum here are the ingredients on the back. If you'd like to pause it, and so i'm going to begin by just rinsing. My hair here is what the shampoo looks like. I just recently took out marley twist so i'll link that video above, if you'd like to see that, but a mistake that i made was not detangling my entire head. Now i'm going to go ahead and apply the conditioner, and this is what it looks like i'm basically just going to make sure to saturate all of my hair with this conditioner, because i want my hair to be as conditioned and soft as possible. So i pretty much use the whole bottle. Another thing that i'm going to have to start doing is shampooing my hair in sections or plaiting, my hair off into a few sections before i wash it. So this is what my new growth is looking like on four months post relaxer, i'm just going to give you a quick texture, shot right here. After this i'm going to go ahead and rinse the conditioner from my hair and then start the blow dry and flat iron process. Here'S another small texture shot in the back, but here is the blowout brush. It comes with the instructions, of course, and here is what it looks like up, close, very pretty, very shiny. I also like how it looks very elegant with the black and chrome, so it does have an off cool, low and high button, a 360 cord, so it won't get tangled, and this is what it looks like up close right here. I like how it has a very long cord, with a strap secure to keep the cords in place. I'M going to put the silk out serum over my head, i'm going to go ahead and take my hair out of the towel and, as you can see, my hair is super bushy and matted. Like it's crazy, you can just look it look and tell that i'm about to have some trouble. I didn't know it yet, but yeah i'm about to have some trouble. You can tell that there's a whole entire afro under my relaxed hair. As i stated previously, i am four months post relaxer, so i'm gon na have to learn to start sectioning, my hair, when i shampoo, when i do my wash days so right now, i'm applying the silk out serum and i'm just gon na start blow drying. Each section by section i'm going to detangle first, of course, as you can, you can see. My roots are very coarse and thick, so i'm definitely starting from the bottom and working my way up throughout the video i'm going to alternate between low and high. But i'm just showing you guys how it looks when you turn it on. So this is my first row right here and i didn't have too much trouble in the back and on the side, but once i get to the crown of my hair, it's going to be a whole different story. As you can see, it's already tangling up right here. I was running into a lot of knots and snags, but it wasn't too too bad, but you'll see once i get up to the top right here. So, each little section that i'm going through i'm making sure to apply the silk out serum and blow dry it. This entire process took me about three hours and i didn't know that it was going to be that difficult at the time. But i almost came to a breaking point, so i just wanted to cut my hair transitioning. This is new to me and i just got frustrated and um yeah. This definitely is a new learning process. For me, that's going to take a lot of patience, but i did stick it out to the end. I started to stretch my roots as you can see right here before i ran the blow dryer brush through my hair, so that helped a little bit more. The key for me at this time is making sure that i get my roots as straight as possible or stretched out, because that's where most of my kinks and coils are here's. The back of my hair, tangled matted hot mess, i'm applying the serum and detangling and then i'm going to begin to blow dry this section as well all right. So now i'm done blow drying and we're going to head on to the flat iron step. Here are some of the features and it comes with an instruction manual and i'm going to go ahead and unbox it now. This is what it looks like very nice, black matte color, and it does have little sprinkles in the place which i thought was really cute. A little grip pad right here for your thumb, i'm going to turn it on and it just automatically starts counting up to the highest temperature that it can go. I have this in fast motion, so you guys don't have to wait, but it does go pretty quickly, showing you what it looks like in a dark, because i just thought it was neat that it lights up. But as you can see, it's going to go all the way up to 4 30 and yes, it is hot, so you can decrease the temperature with the down button. You can increase the temperature with the up button and you can turn it off and on with the power button. Of course, i'm going to go ahead and set this at 380, because that's what i like to flat iron, my hair at so i'm just going to let you guys watch and chime in oh okay, foreign wow, you

Lifted Bodhisattva: You've always had and still have a head full of beautiful hair. This transition is not so much with your hair but more so with yourself at least it has been that way with me,I've released the expectations and Supremacist terms that I've been taught about myself that have leeched into my beautiful coils ..its a life long journey one well worth the effort and walk and when you get there welcome home

LaTonya Hughes: Thank you for sharing your experience Sparkl3 I tried a couple of times trying to go natural doing the same thing your doing. But the struggle was real! So I gave up! And went back to relaxers. My sister also been through the same as me..we both went back to relaxers lol‍♀️ Until I see another way of taking care of natural hair imma keep doin relaxers. So watching your natural hair journey is educating me! Love it!

Nikki Robinson: Great video I’m transitioning and currently 17 months post relaxer. Some tips that have helped me is using the pre shampoo from African Pride before I shampoo I use it to pre poo( this stuff is AMAZING), I wash in sections and then use Aussie Moist or Herbal Essence Hello Hydration conditioner to detangle, after I always deep condition with heat. Deep conditioning makes your hair super soft and easy to manage. After deep conditioning I use Kinky Curly Knot Today as my leave in conditioner it melts tangles. What I’ve learned since transitioning is you have to be gentle at all times. Also always detangle from the ends up. Sone styles that I wear to help blend the two textures are braid outs, flexi rods, perm rods, wave formers, and headband wigs. Moisture is the key when transitioning.

CSmith 4029: Redken Antisnap leave-in helped me through this stage. Couldn’t have made it without it. I’ve heard great things about African Pride pre-shampoo detangler. I haven’t tried if bc I don’t really pre-wash detangle anymore. Plus, it has coconut oil in it & my hair hates coconut oil. Your flat iron is beautiful but summer humidity is a killer for straightened natural hair. U might consider pulling out those flex rods and some gel for a style that allows the 2 textures to co-exist together. I ended up getting a weave the 1st summer after my big chop. The summer humidity added too many other factors to an already big adjustment so it was a great solution for me.

Kalisha J: I admire the ones like you who can transition because I went natural when I was pregnant and I literally cut all my relaxed hair off. It left about 2 inches of natural hair and I wore braids my whole pregnancy. I like different hairstyles so I was only natural for 6yrs and went back to relaxing. Your hair came out really well.

jazzyjoyce3532: You were right on time. I've been searching silk blowouts all day on YouTube. Great results. Your hair is beautiful ❤

K. K: On this transition with you, I'm 10 months post. I've been getting a little cut every 3 months, plan to mini chop after a year and a half post relaxer.

Beautiful by Design: Wow, I could really see the frustration. You're a trooper though. Love the results!

JMocha 74: Beautiful results! Nice blow dryer and flat iron!

Adrian Allen: Great results boo

Love Yourself: Your hair takes heat really well. That brush seemed to really help alot. Great Job Hope you had a great Father's Day

Tiffany: Your hair is still listening!!! My hair doesn't listen to me lol. It does get very frustrating but don't give up. Putting your hair into sections is a wonderful idea, that's the only way I wash my hair.

Charlene Henry: nice results hair looks amazing

El's Life: Nice results.

From Darkness to Light Scriptures: Great results there the bounce and flow in your hair

Q White: How long do you plan on transitioning before you big chop? Or will you be letting your relaxed ends grow out w/o doing the big chop?

Jay Tee: Great job!❤

Stylus: I just LOVE your hair!!

Earl moss: Thanks for shaking it looks beautiful

Juliana Antoine-Hargreaves: Your hair is so full...relaxed or transitioning. I usually do my relaxers twice a year... I am stretching this time as I am working from home do to COVID..I have some new growth and I am seeing my texture in my crown but its not as full as your wonderful tresses...

Coco Brown: Try ordering thee Hair Care System! He has some videos on YouTube. It's a MUCH BETTER Silk Press System. They are based in Gainesville Florida! If not that you may get better results with an old fashioned straighten comb every 2 weeks

karen wright: Your hair is pretty your really good at pressing your hair. You should do hair for a living

rjmami8508: I wish I could do my press as good as you. I could see you singing cut it, cut it, cut it…it’s taking way too long I’m bout to cuttt it You powered through though lol
