Are Wigs Hot and Uncomfortable in Summer?

On summer days, when you’re at work in the office or go shopping with your sis in a shopping mall, or somewhere with great air conditioning, a fashion hair wig will multiple your pretty and confident.

But when you’re planning a wonderful trip on summer vacation, to somewhere might with 100-degree heat and 100+ humid, wearing a wig will definitely make you feel hot and uncomfortable.

Even most of the wig companies have made massive improvements on cap constructions that are more airflow, like the full lace cap, and on cap lace, like the latest HD lace, that is softer and more comfortable to wear, but it might still not be totally resisted with the hot weather.

But don’t worry sis, there still are some ways can help us to deal with the issues and fell a bit less uncomfortable.

1. Choose a wig with less thick hair.

According to the orders we received, most girls love thicker hair. For lace front wigs, thicker hair can better cover the weave tracks, but believe it or not, a good quality lace front wig also can get good coverage even has a bit less hair.

And another better choice is a full lace wig, but the con is it’s much more expensive.

2. Shave your own hair more often.

Shave the hair under the wig more often in summer.

3. Choose a wig with a short bob cut.

Bob hairstyle features its blunt hair ends and short length from about 10” (chin length) to no longer than 16” (shoulder length), so we don’t need to resist the uncomfortable that the hair keeps sweeping and sticking on our neck because of the humid environment.

4. Wear your wig in an updo.

Most wigs allow you to wear in an updo or a ponytail, for 360 lace wigs and full lace wigs they even allow you to wear in a high ponytail or high bun.

5. Be careful if you have a sensitive scalp.

And there’s still another thing can make a wig uncomfortable all the days not only in summer, like the sensitive scalp. So, test the glue you’re going to use first before you applying to the hairline.
