Organizing & Decluttering My Skincare & Hair Care In My Bathroom!

What'S up, you guys welcome back to my channel so for today's video, as you can see, we are in the bathroom and that's because we are going to be organizing my bathroom vanity cabinets and drawers, so everything from skincare haircare to cleaning products to toilet paper, which Is a very highly valued item right now, but yeah I'm really excited today. For those of you who know me know that, like I live and breathe to organize, I'm not gon na sit here and say I'm like the perfectly most organized person in the world, but I try to get my home like as organized as possible. I still have a few different rooms to do like I wan na wear now is the linen closet, my pantry my fridge. I have a few to tick off the list, but today we're doing the vanity in my master bathroom. So, as you can see, there are two vanities this one right here is my vanity that I use every single morning see back here. We have like all the organizers, so many organizers, I just decided it seems that we're gon na be in lockdown for a really long time. So I might as well just go online shopping for Connexus, which I hate I like to go in, store that I love going in the organizers who are just walking around taking my measuring tape, measuring everything, planning, everything out and just being there in person. But obviously I couldn't do that so I was like you know what whatever I'll just organize I'll just online shop organize your stuff, what I did. Finally, everything came in the mail just affected everything and we are going to be organizing today. So I'm really excited for that. I just want to say I'm a little bit embarrassed just say and show you guys what my vanity looks like inside the drawers. They'Re really disorganized, like I'm embarrassed, so here's the thing I've lived in my new home for like 7 months now, and I have not organized these drawers and it's kind of a mess. I still have a box underneath the cabinet from when I moved in, and you know one like you're moving. You need your everyday products. I still have that box with like a bunch of stuff shoved in it. So I'm a little bit embarrassed, but you know what it's all good, I'm gon na expose myself today show you my unorganized messy vanity cam and then wal will organize it. Get it looking good alright. So let's get started. Okay, so here are all the organizers that I got I was actually let me pull up the picture on my phone. I was super inspired by this photo that I found on Pinterest. I believe it was. Let me pull it up with my phone here, so I have an organization folder on my phone with a bunch of inspo. So where is the photo? So this one right here just called my name - and I was like that is what I want my cabinet to look like underneath the sink in my bathroom. So obviously, I'm gon na switch a few things around, but these right here are these exact bins that I ended up purchasing so here's my inspo and then the rest I kind of just freestyle. Oh you guys. I cannot wait to organize my pantry Liquipel gorge. I cannot wait for that. I might have to just do that soon, so all of these organizers are literally from the home edit. I am obsessed with the home edit, you guys, like literally obsessed and the organized Queens. I follow them on Instagram and they made organizers with I design. So I decided to go for this style of organization because I don't know, I think, when it comes to organizing, I, like simplicity, and I like very minimal and clean I've, just decided to go with the the clear I feel like it's never gon na go out Of style, so with these I just tend to love them. I feel like they're, timeless. I'Ve got some square bins and some rectangle bins. These are great because they have it's hard to show you guys that you can remove this divider in the center and then I got some longer ones. And then I got these little divided trays, because these are gon na be great for the drawers for like skin care products, and then I got these, which I love. So these are actually drawers, they're, basically the bins, but in drawer form. So I love that for products that you don't really use too often, so I just thought that these were really great for underneath the cabinet. So here is the messy it's war. These drawers underneath are probably so dirty like you know over time. It just gets really dirty. That'S why I'm excited to have the thingamajigs here, because it's really going to protect the drawers. So this is my skincare drawer. I'M so embarrassed. Look at how messy it is like. I just feel like it's when it's this messy there's no way that this can just be functional. It'S just not a good look, and I have my face: masks, slash extended skin care to our products that I don't use everyday here is my haircare drawer. So this is what I use every single day for haircare and then in the bottom. It'S just a really big drawer. So right now I have my measuring tape. I also have some faux bone ease, my Revlon brush and here's. What the cabinet looks like this was the Bennett, the box that I used when I was moving, and then it ended up just being like a place where I just like throw things in it. So I really need to organize that there are literally months-old of skin care products at the very bottom. So it's a mess and then here I tend to store toilet paper right there, so yeah. This is the mess that we are working with and I just feel like the first step is probably gon na, be taking out every single product and wiping it down and just emptying out the door and then cleaning the drawer okay. So let me just tell you guys, right now, I have been on a natural deodorant journey for the past um, since I moved here and I have not been able to find a deodorant that works for me, like literally, I literally tried like six or seven deodorants And I had to get rid of all of them, none of them worse and then drunk elephants sent this to me in a PR package, and you guys it is absolutely incredible. Like I said, I was just about ready to give up, so I purchased this because I was just about ready to give up, and I was like honestly forget it. I'M gon na go back to my regular deodorant and I actually started going back to it for a few days. Then I got this in the mail and I was like okay, you know what maybe it's a sign. I am gon na give this the last try. It smells amazing and it actually works so well for me, like, I only have to apply it in the morning and I'm good. So honestly yeah, it's just it's amazing, incredible using the method, glass plus service cleaner. I have a lot of glass in the bathroom. Obviously so I just keep this one, since you can use it on glass and surface, it's like a duo, so it's just easier for the bathroom. I do wish that these drawers were full extension, but unfortunately, when I was building the home, I didn't think of it. I didn't think of like even asking. It is very easy to switch drawer hinges, so if I ever really wanted to in the future, I could so. I'Ve actually had this for a long time and I definitely feel like it's expired. I think I've had this for over like two years and I haven't used in a long time, so I think I'm gon na get rid of that again. This is one of my favorite masks, but I have not used it in a really long time and I think I've had this bottle open for definitely more than a year and a half and it's expired after you, open it for 12 months. So definitely I mean I've used almost all of it. Getting rid of that love. Love love this the best like oil spray. It got this off of Kearny by Belle's recommendations, I'm keeping that I don't really use this much. I have tested it and I don't think I'm like a huge fan. It'S pretty good, but I don't think I'm a huge fan. I think I prefer the Baptiste just I'm getting rid of that love, love, love. The dry bar shine miss the way Matt pomade, keeping those this is literally like dying. I think I used it all last week because I was like squeezing so throwing this out cuz. It is empty getting rid of this because I kept it cuz. It was cute, but I never use it okay. So this is what we are looking like right now, I'm going to link every single organizer and everything in today's video. I will link it down below. There is some extra space at the back but, like I said this was the best fit that I could find. So I did this in my studio. So most of you who watched that video would be familiar, but I have these little. I'M probably use these ones rubber feet. They'Re gon na be great for putting on the bottom of the organizer so that they don't move. So you see how, when I open the drawer see how the organizer just moved around. I really hate that, and you don't want that to happen so by putting these little rubber feet at the bottom, it's gon na cause friction and it literally won't move. So you guys will see what happens when I put them on. I actually got mine from Amazon, so I will also link these down below there. You go so now. I'M going to close the drawer, try to open it again and there you go, you can see it did not shift. It stayed in place so yeah major key is to put those little rubber things on this. Cleanser is almost done. I hate how big this bottle is, but lucky enough it actually does fit here. If I put anything else back here, it would be hard to reach. Since these drawers do not fully extend, but with q-tips, it's pretty easy just to grab one obviously, so I feel like it's perfect spot, plus it's a small square, so these are my reusable make-up. Cotton rounds. These I use for my toner for my solar water. So I feel like this fits perfectly here, so I think I should keep serums and moisturizers together, so I will put them over here. These are my daytime. That'S my night time toner. So I think I'm pretty happy with how this looks. The good thing is: there's still room on top to stat, okay, so I'm pretty happy with how that looks. Okay, so that is pretty much it for my hair product. You guys, like I said it's only these two left, but I'm going to put them in a bin inside the cabinet. Okay, so I'm really happy so far. I feel like this is really a good progress it. I cannot tell you how good it feels you got to finally have a skincare drawer. That'S organized like this yeah I feel like this is really great progress, I'm happy so far. This is what I use on an everyday basis, so I am happy with this. Okay. So now we are moving on to the center cabinet. Okay. So now I need to go through all of this and declutter what I don't need. So I decided that I'm keeping this, even though I don't feel like it's the best dry shampoo. Ever I still it's good enough, so I don't want to be wasteful, there's still a lot in here, I'm going to use it up. Okay, I don't even know if this is expired. I don't even know if this expires at all. So these are my tanning products. This is the main one that I use the arrow. This is definitely probably expired now that it's summer time again, I do need to get another one, because I use this a lot on my body. You should use sunscreen year-round anyways to be honest with you, but I'm more covered up like I use this on my body and I'm more covered up in the winter. Obviously, in the summer, I'm not so I'm actually gon na need to get another one of this. Oh, this actually only expires next year perfect. I can use this the rest of this this summer, so we've got some more tanning products. I'M actually gon na wash these because the bottles kinda dirty. This is my everyday body lotion, keeping this medicine, because for some reason, when I was moving, I had like a really bad well, not for some reason, actually with all the construction. I had really bad allergies from all the sawdust, so I needed reactant, but this is empty. These are old, and this I actually loved so much the pharmacy honey yeah honeymoon glow. I just kind of not lost it, but like it kind of got lost in here while I was moving, so I'm gon na finish this up, because I really love that serum put that in my skincare to work this I'm gon na get rid of. It'S probably expired by now: yeah, it's expired since six months, so yeah, I'm gon na get rid of this. I use this spray. Now I don't use the cream okay. These are just like skin goo products that I never finished. I love this sleeping glow mask again. It kind of got lost in the box while I was moving and just didn't. You know kind of forgot to finish it, but I love it. It'S almost finished anyways, it's only a little bit left. These are all expired by now, so getting rid of him. These are backups of my favorites chopsticks, I'm keeping that okay, so here is what I am keeping. We got tanning products lotion, hair products, backup products, just a bunch of stuff, so keeping those keeping all of this. So I don't really use cotton rounds anymore. You guys saw that I bought the reusable ones, but I'm it would also be super erasable for me to get rid of this. So I'm gon na use this up, and then I won't buy any more after that, and this is what I got rid of this whole bag of products. Also, a bag expired products down there. Okay, so, even though I'm like in the middle of everything, I think I'm going to call it a night because I'm getting hungry and I want to make dinner, I kind of started organizing a little late today, I started around 2:30. I should have started in the morning when I woke up, but it's all good, I'm going to continue organizing two more and I will see you guys tomorrow, but really it'll. Just look like a second when I edit this video, so yeah I'll, see you guys my busted nail, okay. So it's day, two, you guys seems like my organization. Things seem to take two days so, like my closet did so I'm not starting that much earlier today. It is 114 no, but that's ok, because I really I slept in I mean it's, it's quarantine, so there's like no rules no time time to summarize those days you're not in this. I set this up pretty much. I think this is how I want it. It looks really similar to the photo that I showed you guys, I'm really happy with it. Let me know: do you guys have any solutions for covering up the pipe like it would be nice if maybe Amazon sold like a cover like if there was like a white cover I could put over it? That would be really good. If not, I could always paint it, so this is also what I was showing you guys. These bids are really great because the divider you can take out or and have it open or you can put the divider back in and the drawer is also like that as well and I kind of figured since I have the room now. I can put new skin care products that I want to try and extras of my skin care products in here and there you go. I feel like that, looks really good. I'M really happy with that. Okay, so for the toilet paper, I found this really cute basket from what's a called Container Store. I was kind of debating on putting the toilet paper in a clear bin, but I kind of like how this looks and I think it's just perfect for the toilet paper and it actually fits three rolls perfectly, and these are thick rolls as well like they're. Not the the thin ones these are like thick Charmin rolls, so it fits three back to back and then two sided by size. So this is perfect and I will stack it. I'M not just gon na leave it like this, but yeah. It'S the perfect fit. Okay. So I organized the kind of I guess you could call this. Like the hygiene section, I don't really know whatever so I kind of forgot to film it. I got a little carried away, so I put the toilet paper here and the great thing is: I can still stack another one or another six on top, so that's really good, but I'll just leave it like that. For now and then at the bottom I decided to put a drawer. I don't think I was planning on putting a drawer and I might switch it alright. There you go so I switched it to a bin instead of the drawer, and I feel like that's good plus. These are the kind of products that you want easy access to like. If you need feminine products, you kind of want to grab one quickly or if you need a baby wipe you can just open it alright. So that is pretty much it you guys. My vanity is all organized. I just need to tidy up still like vacuum mop. The floor so just ignore that, but here's how everything looks I'm really really happy with it like I feel like it looks so organized now. I would just love to have labels on there, but the only thing is, I can't find a label maker that makes large enough labels, like all the label makers that I see make like the little skinny ones. I want like the nice big letters that are like at least this big, not like this. You know I mean so. Let me know if you guys have any ideas, then we have the drawers. I feel, like everything, looks so good. I'M really really happy and there's still so much room like. I could even move these brushes over here and it would definitely fit, and I could free up this space there's still extra space in a lot of the bins and the drawers so yeah. I'M really happy with it. I feel, like my favorite section - is definitely this section right here. It just looks so satisfying with all the pretty light. Colors all color-coordinated, all right, so I'm gon na get into organizing this vanity. Now I store a lot of my shower items here. I'M gon na throw out that shower cap. My tan has like completely stained it and I need to replace the magic eraser so over. Here is a lot of the bath and shower products and cleaning products too. So I'm gon na go ahead, play some music organize this real quick, and I will show you guys in one second, how it looks, and here we go just finished organizing. I love how it looks so. I do have an idea, though, that I think would be really good and I think it would look better so I'll do that once I buy some containers. So what I think I'm gon na do is put the cleaning products in this bin right here and then get really cute, like canisters for the bath bombs and a really cute canister for the epson salt and put it on top of here without the bin. I think that would look really good, so I think I'm gon na do that in the future. I just don't have the canisters right now and I smell like I can go to the store and look for some, so I'll just probably switch out in the future. But for now I like how this looks and there is still a lot of extra room in this specific drawer, alright, so that is it I'm pretty much done organizing. I just need to tidy up now, but I do hope you guys enjoyed watching me organize my master at bathroom cabinet. I'M really happy with how it looks. I think it looks good and I'm happy that now it is organized, and that is one thing off my list. Next thing is the fridge and the pantry so yeah. I definitely give this video a like thumbs up.
