If she does have Alopecia, it's probably Traction Alopecia which is not autoimmune and scarring is very rare. It's caused by mistreatment of the hair. Tight styles, chemicals, weaves, heat. It is fully reversable if caught early. The other form of hair loss if she has it could be female pattern hair loss. (Age, hormones or genetics cause this type)
