She Got A Ginger Hair Color | First Time Getting Hair Colored| Copper Color On Natural Hair

Hey pros crystal here from elite haircare, usa. So today we are taking my client from a level one also known as a black or a dark brown to a copper, or we can also call it a ginger top, i'm not gon na, say carrot top, because that is super orange. But in her case it was a very pretty copper. It had some um low lights in it, some nudes or i said nudes but lower tone coppers and then also some high tone coppers to give her a beautiful blend. So we started off by doing what we call a soap cap, which is basically developer shampoo and a very small amount of lightener to pre-lift her hair, so that we could deposit that copper color. Now the blow dryer that you guys see me using. This is actually a newbie in the collection. This is the dc 3600, also known as the hurricane. It is a great blow dryer for you to use at home, or even in the salon, as though i am, it is very lightweight compared to my dyson blow dryer. So i am actually loving this when i told you guys at the beginning, i actually hated this blow dryer now. I absolutely adore it because it's super light and it dries the hair really really quickly. So i'm just applying some of our first timer and shine serum, of course, to help protect her hair, which is a very important step because copper's enraged reds do fade. First number one number: two: we are doing some thermal silkening to her to get her prepared for her trim now for her thermal silkening, i'm using the one-inch titanium iron. All of the tools you guys see me using in my videos are available at elitehaircareusa.com. Now i did trim her off camera. I do recommend getting a trim with almost any and every color service, especially a permanent color service, because guess what the ends do typically somewhat suffer and i'm not going to say all the time. I'M not saying it's going to be automatic, but the ends typically need to be trimmed with any color service. That'S just going to give you an either healthier. Look. That'S number one number two! It'S going to remove anything that might have been harmed or damaged. I use those very harsh words, but not so harsh during the color service and then, of course, with colors just like relaxer. It can literally change the texture of the hair and the ends if they're, already split and then you're putting lightener on them. They typically can go straight, so that is very, very normal. In her case, we did a trim, which is just a maintenance trim. She'S been coming to me since she was in high school and she trusted me to do her color. So she drove all the way back to me from jacksonville to get her hair color done, which i'm super humble by the way, because that just tells your girl that your girl is in the right direction: okay, good anyhow. What i'm doing right now is i'm curling her in large sections. You guys i've already soaked her out. I'Ve already done her trim and the reason why i'm doing the large section curls is because i'm also pinning them so it's just going to create a little more volume in the hair. This is also something you guys can do at home. This definitely helps to give you that that feathered, look that really voluminous look and a lot of curl a lot of shape. This also is a great way to preserve your curls at home, which is just basically pin curling them with a duckbill clip or even a hair pin, and this will preserve the life of your your curls and your volume. I like this particular um technique, especially for clients like her, where they like that movement. They like they like that um boldness in their hair. They don't want it really like bone straight or flat. Now, if you do want it bone straight or flat, then i would definitely say: do not do the pin curls because you're going to have a lot more volume than you really want, okay and then for her at home care she's, definitely going to be using the Moist repair, shampoo and conditioner: it is a sulfate free shampoo, which is moist repair. This is going to help, of course, not to strip the color in her hair. That'S number one, and even though coppers and reds fade first, you don't want to aid the process and make it fade even faster. So, even though this is considered a permanent color, a lot of people misconstrue, what permanent color means. That does not mean that your hair is going to stay this color forever. It just basically means that it's going to last a lot longer yes, but it still can fade just like when you buy a black t-shirt. Just because you bought it black and you know it was permanently dyed. That doesn't mean that it's going to stay black forever. It can fade over time with every single wash. That is the same thing with hair color and then, of course, as your hair grows out that new growth is going to be your natural color. So it's up to you to get this color redone or to grow. It out and do the ombre effect or add highlights or whatever the case may be. Okay. So if you guys are new to my channel, please don't forget to hit that subscribe button. This is why we call it a silk press. It'S a temporary thing, but i want you guys to take in this color take in the low lights, take in the boldness and she's so pretty with the ginger top. Most people are afraid to get colors that are near their skin tone because they mute you out, but in her case it just really just gave more life to her anyway. So it came out absolutely amazing. I love the color.
