Crochet Hair Nighttime/Morning Routine, Maintenance, And Refresh| Lia Lavon

Hey Youtube: fam, It's ya girl, Lia back again with another video, and today's video, as you can see from the title, is just my morning and night time: crochet hair, routine video.. Now, if you guys aren't familiar with my channel, welcome smash that subscribe button, but when it comes to my hair, I'm very lazy. When it comes to my work when it comes to my YouTube, I'm not lazy.. I put all my effort into it. I'll stay up at night till 1 to 2 am trying to push out good content. I'll stay at work, past 5:00 to 6:00 6:30 trying to put a lot of work into my job., But my hair. Oh no, my hair! I like to put you know five minutes max on. And that's why crochet hair works best for me is. I can put five minutes max., But a lot of you guys out there are like well what are you doing? Girl.? I know you got ta be putting more effort in.. I know you got ta be., Your styles look good., I'm telling you right now. I don't. I do not at all.. So what I'm gon na do first is my morning routine and do my nighttime routine and then show you what my nighttime routine is when I do have to separate. When I do have to do all the the effort, I guess into putting into my hair. Now What I will say up under here, I am NOT detangled, my hair., I haven't put any product in my hair other than edge control over the last week.. Today is Saturday, I've not put anything in my hair for the last week., Not a drop of product. I'M gon na put some product in it later, but what you guys are gon na see right now is me.. Last night went to sleep. Put my scarf on. I woke up this morning. I have not put my edge control on.. I have not done my morning routine as of yet., So I'm gon na show you guys what my hair looks like after a week of no maintenance. A week of nothing really put into my hair. A week of my hair, just pineappled, up. Gon na show you What it looks like., So I'm gon na take it out the my edges.. This is my edges in it's raw format.. You guys are getting it and I'm taking the pineapple out.. When I say I pineapple my hair at night, you guys know. I put it up. Like this and I put a little scrunchie around it., I just been using this just because it's easier to come off., It's not as tight as a scrunchie and then I just kind of flop, my hair down - and this is what it looks like. Again a week Of no maintenance. A week of nothing. A week of no cutting. A week of no separating. A week of just going to sleep at night., So my nighttime routine over the last week, has been putting my hair up like this.. Nothing has touched it. Gone to sleep.. I typically do this when I come home from work., So my hair is out of the way pretty early.. So soon as I get in., This is the equivalent of me taking my wig off.. You know you wig wearers, take your wig off when you come through the door. I'll. Do this. Put this bonnet.. You guys ask me where I got this bonnet from.. I got this bonnet from Target. Again. If you got from Target it looks a little bit probably different. Mine has been you know. Washed. It's been used several times. I think it's a lot more brighter florescent of a pinky kind of color if you buy it new.. But if you wear yours out, like I wear mine out, it's gon na turn some shades and then I put my scarf on and then, when I'm ready to go to sleep, I just lay it on down.. That'S it.! Wake up in the morning.! Take my scarf! Off. Take my little scrunchie off and then shake and then put my edges down.. So I'm gon na just use my edge control right now and just slick my edges down. So I don't look crazy for much longer. Again, I like to use the Hicks edge.. That'S my edge control of choice.. I do like to pair it with something else. Though. I've been using the curls.. If you guys know from my least favorites products, video. I think I featured this.. If you guys see, I have used it up., I'm not gon na waste, no money now., Even though I didn't like the product, don't believe I'm just gon na. Let it sit there., I'm still gon na use the product as it is.. I won't repurchase it, but I'm gon na use it up., So I'm gon na just combine the two to kind of lay it down.. This is more so uh consistency, like., That's the consistency of the edge control and, as you can see, the curls is more. So a paste kind of gel formation., I think a gel and something like the hicks really work well.. I used to do use ecostyler now I've kind of been using curls and this combined. I'm just going to gel my edges, down. Going in first with the curls.. There is no rhyme or reason. It's just whatever lid I take off. First is what I put on first. And after I have gelled it down and, as you can see, I typically gel down the entirety of it., Even though I typically let my hair fall like this.. I do like to have the edge control go from kind of ear to ear on that front., And this is how I've been going out: the door for the past week. Nothing.. I just put that edge control on and go out the door.. Nothing on my hair. Haven't cut a piece of frizz. Haven't done anything with this hair., I'm trying to tell you. - And it's been two weeks with this hair.. So I've had this Afri Naptural Senegal bantu twist hair in for the last two weeks, and this is what it's giving you. It's a long mouthful.. The name of it is in the description box., But on the rare occasion, or not the rare occasion, but the once a week or twice a week. However much effort you want to put in your hair. Whenever you see the hair drying out., Whenever you want to revitalize the hair a little bit. I do put product in the hair. The product I have been using is the Hawaiian Silky Miracle Worker. Have not used This again in the last week, but it is what I have been using when I do what to revitalize the hair.. Now I'm going to get up in camera, so you can kinda see how the hair is looking two weeks in without putting anything into the hair.. This is what it's giving you.. Let me do a 360, so you guys can kinda see the back.. It'S really not that bad. I mean it might be. You know it's a little tangled.. Some strands are coming together, but again I haven't felt the need to do this, but I'm gon na do it today on camera. So you guys can see what you can do when you want to with this hair.. So what I do is I take sections of the hair., So no rhyme or reason.. So I just say I want to take this section.. You see some tangles right, here., I'm definitely gon na take care of that in a second. Got ta. Have your handy dandy! Scissors on standby. What I'm doing taking a section., I use generous amount.. I mean you guys, don't have to be as generous as I am with the product. But again I like to kind of drench it.. That'S why I have this bigger bottle, but you guys know. I own four of these smaller ounces.. This is their 16-ounce and you guys have seen me typically hold up the six ounce version of it.. So I just cut out, as I go through strands that don't make sense. and can be taken away. Then I can detangle the hair like so., That white residue will go away., So don't feel any kind of way that you have that white residue there. And again, Wherever you see fit just go ahead and snip snip snip., Once I get done with the section, the hair that I've kind of pulled., You know, as you can see it's a little bit longer., I'm just gon na cut that away.. Then you have a kind of completely detangled section., So this section right here is detangled., So you can move on to the next. Again. A lot of you guys asked me too: what's the rhyme or reason., Can you do a video of you cutting your hair cause? It'S always got a great shape.. I'M gon na tell you right now. My hair has a good shape because of just happenstance. Because of doing things like this and cutting kind of the frizz out and all that.. That'S how my hair progressively gets shorter in each of my weeks thoughts.. So if you noticed in my week's thoughts of my videos, the hair progressively gets shorter., It's not that I'm cutting it into any particular style.. It'S just the fact that I just cut that frizz out and whatever happens happens.. So again, there is really no rhyme or reason to how my hair gets cut.. So a lot of you guys asked me: can you do a cutting styling video.? I don't really know how to cut hair., I'm not a professional.. I I try to make it clear my videos, you are not getting a stylist opinion., You are getting just a regular degular shmegular girl who does like to have crochet hear in.. So I can put some hair in. I can't really cut and there's so many good kind of stylist people on here on YouTube, who can kind of show you.. My hair, if you guys noticed, has a kind of similar vibe a lot of the times in terms of the length of it and all that.. So again, when you're doing this, you can be watching your shows.. You really don't have to have a particular. You know thing going on. It's just whenever. Maybe you watching a Snapped marathon on Sunday., You watching the Haves and the Have Nots. You watching your empire. While it still is out there., You know, you're watching your shows. And you just want to just be doing something. Besides on your phone, just separate your hair out., It's a good time.. I usually do this Friday night before I'm filming., I'm just usually watching Dateline.. I love me some Dateline., I'm watching me some shark tank.. I love me some shark tank and I'm just kind of going through each strand., Probably going a little bit faster than I typically do on a typical day.. But this again is a demonstration.. You just want to go through each curl and it shouldn't take you more than again 20 minutes.. But again this isn't something. I do daily. Again, it's something I do on Fridays when I don't have to wake up in the morning. The next day., When I have some time and it's not something that you have to do on a regular. So now the hair is completely detangled.. I'Ve gone through each strand.. This is what it is giving you at this point.. Let me get up in camera. If you guys can see any kind of difference in my hair., You really don't. And again. This is only something you need to do at least once a week.. I promise you guys.. I won't do anything else. Now that I've done this today. Took me about looking at my viewfinder about 20 minutes to do this.. I won't do it again until next weekend., It really doesn't require it.. Now how the hair feels now, it's just very soft., This product does soften the hair, a lot. You just kind of want to have your hands in it, because it feels so kind of soft., It's kind of juicy.Then when it kind of dries down a little bit Of course you don't see that white stuff in the hair at all anymore., But then, when it dries down a little bit, it's still soft and it feels that same way for a good two to three days, afterwards. I like Hawaiian, silky. Again, I said it in My fresh wand, curl, video and I'll, say it in this video. I think these hairs respond better to Hawaiian Silky than they do mousse.. I have not applied any mousse over the last couple weeks to this hair and again does not require any mousse to this hair.. I think mousse would only do more to dry the hair out.. I think you're gon na need something to revitalize it. Again it doesn't have to be the product I use., You can have a product of your choice that you feel like adds a little bit of moisture to the hair as well as aids in that separating. Cause. If you separate this hair without any product in it, it is kind of hurts your hands a little bit.. It doesn't feel too good, so you want to have a product in your hands or in the hair as you're detangling it. So it doesn't kind of you know, scratch your hands a little bit.. This hair can be a little scratchy if you let it be.. So again you want to have as much or as little as you want., I'm a very generous person with the amount of products. I like to have in my hands. You guys. On the other hand, maybe somebody like not only need a dime size amount., I didn't do them dime size amounts.. I need a few quarters amounts in my hair and what I would do after detangling. It is nothing different than what I would do on a normal day.. I definitely put the hair up. Put my scarf on and then go to sleep., And then I would wake up in the morning.. Of course, my edges wouldn't be laid in the morning, but all I would do is have to kind of bounce. My hair around put my edge control on and be out the door.. That'S it.. I don't put that much effort.. This has been a total of including the edge control., The edge control. One product., My toothbrush., My scarf. Hasn't been that much product and a pair of scissors. Of course, that's all you need kind of to maintain a hair, especially like this.. I get a lot of questions. What are you doing? It'S not looking like that on me. It'S not holding up the same way, I'm showing you everything that I'm doing there is nothing different than I'm doing so if the hair doesn't respond well, it might be the installation, it might be you separated to here more than I did. There could be different things at different elements that aid and the hair looking different on you, but if you apply the a free natural ban too cynical twist out hair - and you do exactly what I do, it should definitely look exactly the way mine does now.
