Hi guys I’m Chhavi Mittal, and this is Areeza. She’s, my 7 year old daughter and together we welcome you all to Being Woman with Chhavi.. So there are a lot of mothers who ask me that there is a lot of hair fall post pregnancy. What to do about that. And what to do for skincare., So hair fall can have many reasons, but I’ll definitely share my own experience with you in today’s video. When you’re pregnant you’re heavily on multivitamins and your diet is very good.. But the most important thing is that during pregnancy, your hair fall stops., So for a normal person on an average every day about a 100 strands of hair fall from dead hair follicles.. That is natural and nothing to be alarmed about.. But the most important thing is that during pregnancy your hair fall stops., Meaning there are a lot of dead hair in your scalp which are not falling off.. So the minute you deliver all these start falling and it feels like there is a lot of hair. Fall. Happened with me also., But thankfully my mother prepared me for this in advance and she warned me if you don’t take care of your hair. Now then, don’t blame me later for falling hair., So I’m going to share the tips with you also, so you can take care of your hair if you are pregnant. And if you’ve already delivered then better late than never. You can start now. First thing that I stopped when I got pregnant was the use of chemicals.. I mean I literally stopped everything.. I changed my shampoo to one which had no chemicals stopped using a conditioner and even a serum, and I went completely natural with my hair. Herbal shampoo and that’s it nothing else in my hair., The only thing that I had to use is hair color, because I Have a little bit of grays and the roots needed to be touched up because I’m also an actor, but I came up with my own hack for that also, which was I stopped going to the salon, because there are other treatments going on there.: Perm straightening, so It’S not advisable to even breathe in those chemicals., So I got an ammonia free color at home, and the only thing that I changed was that I used to keep that color in my hair for not more than 10 minutes., Even though the packet says to keep It for 35-40 minutes., But I used to not do that, thereby reducing that chemical going into my scalp by so much.. That is definitely one tip that I want to share with you. During pregnancy. You are eating a variety of multi-vitamins and my doctor had advised me to continue those for a year after., So I’m still continuing those., I’m sure your gynaec will advise you the same, because the body needs those even while breastfeeding. These vitamins are essential for your skin And hair also. So definitely continue taking them for as long as your doctor advises you to. Another, really simple and small tip that we all forget is oiling.. Please do not underestimate the importance of oiling your hair., And this is a tip that Areeza reminded me.. At times I used to come back from office to find oil in Areeza’s hair., And I used to wonder who oiled her hair, because I didn’t. Then she one day told me that I oil, my hair on my own.. Then she one day told me that I oil, my hair on my own.. She learnt how to do that because she really wants to have long hair. Right now. Her hair is not so long, but they will be because she is oiling her hair regularly.. So oiling is very important., So what I do is I started this during pregnancy and continue it now..is that I oil, my hair at least twice a week., So I sleep with oil. In my hair at night and next morning I wash my hair with a herbal shampoo. And I still don't condition. I still don't use a serum. Or any other products in my hair., So you can also try this. This is easy.. I also steam my hair. A little bit every time I oil, them. And Areeza just reminded me that it is also important that you don't oil, your hair everyday., Because that tends to block our pores and collect dust which is everywhere around us. And that's not what we want.. So we want to also keep our scalp clean., So just keep your hair clean and oil them twice a week, and it's going to do wonders. I promise. I use a herbal oil.. Areeza is also all natural like her mama and she also likes herbal oil. A lot. Right, my baby, Talking about natural things, we all tend to forget the importance of the natural things that we have easily available around us For eg curd.. curd is really good for your hair. And egg., And if you have time which I don't.. but henna, It'S really good for your hair., But curd and egg is something I also keep doing every now and then.. So that is also something which really makes a lot of difference to your hair. She'S telling me egg sticks, but that's OK. We can do it once in a while.. Arham is getting very excited there and he wants me to go to him. So let me quickly tell you about my skincare before I go so just like my hair. I prefer my skin also to be chemical free. So, since the time I got pregnant, I have stopped using all chemicals on my face. And when I say no chemicals, I mean no moisturizer and no sunblock also.. The only thing that I use on my face is coconut oil. In fact, I swear by it., So I use coconut oil in the morning and before I go to bed at night. And that is it.. Lot'S of people say that a sunblock is important and I too feel that. But when I use a sunblock, I feel that the product tends to get stuck in my pores and then my pores attract a lot of duct and then I get a lot of pimples and acne.. I don't like that., So I like to keep my face as clean as my hair.. So coconut oil is the only thing that I use on my face. And I sometimes use makeup while shooting, but I always make sure that I thoroughly clean my face before I go to bed.. So I hope that you liked today's video and I sincerely hope that these tips help you as much. They helped me.. If you liked today's video, please give me a LIKE and share this video with whoever you think it might. Benefit.
