You are beYoutiful inside and out; I love you!

Love dr dre, but she's kind of been pissing me off then, under my eyes i use this color science total eye. Today we will be reacting to dermatologist dr dre's, hair and skincare routine in both the morning and the evening, and for those who don't know or are new here hello. My name is cassandra benson. I am an expert and have been in the industry for over 10 years, i'm a medical esthetician and although i've worked alongside and with doctors and dermatologists, i've never worked alongside dr dre, and i am not a physician myself. That being said, i love analyzing, scrutinizing and learning from different people's skincare routines and today that's what we're gon na do we're gon na look at what she does to her hair with function of beauty, who's partnering with us on this video we're gon na look at Her am and her pm skincare routine, which we know is going to include some sunscreen and although i've reacted to her night routine before today, we're gon na go through the whole thing. So, let's start hey guys get excited in today's video. I'M gon na show you my nighttime and morning skin and hair care routine, and the first thing i do is to remove my water resistant, sunscreen and mascara using a lipid based uh cleanser love, dr dre, but right off the bat um she's kind of been pissing Me off and i feel bad saying that, because i genuinely respect her love, her intelligence love her content. I look up to her from a professional and a personal perspective um, but this is something that you know. I shouldn't feel bad for it pissing me off, but it does. I wish that she would offer more cruelty-free options. I know that she's, a vegan, i'm personally a vegan as well and people have different reasons for going vegan as well as staying vegan, and i understand that for some people that is purely dietary for some people, that is dietary and lifestyle, etc. No two people are the same and growing up i ate meat. I eat cheese. I ate all that stuff without questioning where it came from or who else it was impacting. One thing about dr dre, though, is that i really wish that she would recommend more cruelty-free products that she would use more cruelty-free products, or at least like in her descriptions or something she would offer cruelty-free alternatives. I feel like. Thankfully, consumers are becoming more aware of where they're putting their money and understanding that the companies and brands we support today are going to help shape the future of tomorrow and ponz is one that i just don't like. I understand why she uses it. We'Ll discuss ingredients in just a second, but this is something that, like i personally wish that i would see more of dr dre doing i like to make use of these to break up that film of pollutants dirt oil, sebum cosmetics. You can see how it nicely dissolves the mascara uh, and that way i don't have to scrub with soap to get that off. So from an ingredient perspective, the pond's cream is super basic. It'S basically mineral oil as well as beeswax and again it doesn't have a bunch of fragrances. It doesn't have a bunch of actives and that's really good. If you're trying to avoid irritation. Dr dre, as well as many other dermatologists, usually err on the side of caution, because in office professionals see the worst of the worst. We see tissue necrosis, we see allergic reactions, we see other forms of dermatitis and with all of that, it really scares you into wanting to play it safe or to understand those ingredients and avoid unnecessary. You know cosmetic allergens or cosmetic triggers. So while this is super basic, my biggest issue with it is that it's not cruelty, free and again mineral oil. It'S basic oil, it's a byproduct of the petroleum industry and it's literally waste that humans have created by creating other waste such as gas or petroleum and oil products, and you could argue that, okay, if you didn't use the mineral oil, then where would you use those Waste products, like you, know, you're using a byproduct of that, but i still think that going with another oil from a sustainable source would be better. Don'T use palm oil, be conscious of when mineral oil is in your products. Go for something like an argan oil, or if you want something super cheap dude, even a coconut oil or literal straight up, vegetable oil will do the job it'll break down the dirt that make up the pollutants. Just like this honestly just use a basic oil and it'll do the exact same thing here are three other cleansers that i would recommend all three of these are cruelty free and they work really well at breaking down both makeup and sunscreen, and they are cleansing bombs. So you could use a regular cleanser after them, but these are the three that i would highly recommend over ponds and my hair. This is what it looks like after after i've gone running, i do shampoo my hair on a nightly basis and for the past month i've been using a new, shampoo and conditioner that has really been working well. For me, it's by function of beauty. Today'S video is in partnership with function of beauty, get that sponsorship. That'S why i watch the ads continue, making great content for me for free. Thank you to function of beauty for this video as well, but let's actually dive into what she uses. What'S in these products and what's not in these products - and i hop in there and immediately wash off that pond's cold cream with a non-soap gentle cleanser ph between 5.5 and 6.5, i'm currently using the aqua, nil cleanser! I love this. It is frequently recommended by me and many dermatologists. It is just a really great no-nonsense, fragrance free cleanser. She is correct. It is a good no-nonsense, fragrance free cleanser that doctors do recommend, because again it's super basic. This is basically just sulfates. It'S a soap-free formula, so it shouldn't have a lot of those irritating components to them this, however, again i can't find out if it's cruelty, free or not something you'll also notice is that she didn't put water on her face until she used this second cleanser. The reason why is because oil and water don't mix and the first product was oil-based, so use those oil balms or those oil cleansers on dry skin break up all that stuff then use that second cleanser to really remove any residue from that skin and rebalance the Ph, if you so choose to previously used the um serum hydrating and creamy cleansers, neutrogena's cleanser uh, you know the key is that it's fragrance free and ph 5.5 to 6.5. She mentions a ton of cleansers that most dermatologists recommend and again it's because they are basic. If you are struggling with things like acne or hyperpigmentation, these don't have actives in them. So there's nothing in here, that's going to help, but again, if you have sensitive skin or if you're, just trying to cleanse, which is what a cleanser is for, they do work and again, if you use actives in your moisturizers or your serums they're going to stay On the skin and have a higher chance of working, that being said, all of the ones that she recommends are very similar, but i don't like all of them, because again, morals, values and ethics, they're, not cruelty, free one that i would recommend, which is the closest. The lines that she's talking about is called cleor, it's also formulated by a dermatologist. It is soap free, the cleanser is balanced in this product and it is safe for sensitive skin. It is fragrance free. It is paraben free all those things. So this is one that i would personally recommend in place of this because of morals, values and ethics, but again all of the ones she recommends are dermatologist cult favorites. I just wish that they were as ethical as they are effective function of beauty is doing something really novel and that they make it so easy to get a fragrance, free dye, free cruelty, free and vegan shampoo and conditioner unique for your hair type. Finally, some cruelty. Free vegan products, thank you whether it be curly or color treated. It'S super easy. You just go in and fill out a two-minute quiz outlining your hair type, hair goals and personalized preferences. You can choose free fragrance if you like, and you can even tell it how strong you want the fragrance. But of course i want fragrance free following in dr dre's footsteps, i decided to try out function of beauty and i did get fragrance free um. I did not get dye free, which was okay for me, and i do have naturally curly hair. It is not color treated, but i do deal with a lot of damage. A lot of breakage and a lot of dryness super oily at the scalp, because hi hello, oil factory here on my face and then i deal with a lot of dryness and damage at the end, when i was filling out the quiz, they had options. That kind of seemed a little bit redundant. It was like you know, are you looking to fight dryness or are you looking to impart hydration and i'm like well, wait aren't both of those things helping me attain the same goal, but either way. I am happy that these have arrived and that they do give you the option of fragrance free, because almost every single, shampoo and conditioner out there contains such a large amount of fragrance that it just makes my head spin again. Fragrance is not always the devil. There are times and places where it is safe and effective to use, however, especially in dr dre's case, if she wants to err on the side of caution, if you do have fragrance allergies, or if you don't want, you know your deodorant a different smell than your Hair, which is a different smell than your moisturizer, which is a different smell than your perfume. All of that gets really overwhelming, and so these have absolutely no smell. They don't even smell like ass, which is nice, because some shampoos and conditioners that are fragrance free really do you know what i'm talking about fragrance and dyes can be common causes of irritation in your shampoos and conditioners, and finding products that are free of those ingredients? Can be such a challenge? All function of beauty's products not only are cruelty free and 100 vegan, but they are also sulfate. Free sulfates can be pretty drying on your hair shaft. They don't have any parabens gmos or toxins. I would hope that your shampoo doesn't have any toxins again remember that the poison is made by the dose, so how much of a toxin is in there um? But she is correct. I checked, and these are vegan and cruelty free, as well as being non-gmo. No parabens no sulfates and no toxins. Thankfully, thankfully i love the fact that you can get your name printed on the bottle. I think that's so cute dr j has been talking about function of beauty for a while, and that is why i originally started testing them. She'S actually gotten me to try like three different shampoo and conditioner brands as of now um, but she's right, you can customize them with your name, but, as i was filling out, my quiz i was thinking to myself is putting cassandra in my own bottle. Narcissistic, like i know that, that's what people do and i don't see it as narcissistic when other people do it, but i was thinking to myself. I don't know it would be weird to like stare at my own name when i'm like naked in the shower. I don't know why that tripped me out, so i actually wrote function of chemistry because you know i kind of feel like chemistry is just cooler than cassandra. Maybe that's just me and my self-deprecating mindset but yeah mine's a function of chemistry, and i do like that. You can customize these both from a formula perspective and from a battle perspective. I believe that the bottles are recyclable um. What number are they and they are number two um? I do wish that they would give us more recyclable container options. However, maybe i should go to my inbox and like yell at them nicely with environmentally friendly things, so i first start by lathering a good pump in my scalp. That'S really where i direct my shampoo, i think of it more of a as a scalp cleanser. I think people focus too much of their attention when they shampoo on the hair shaft and that can really lead to a lot of frizziness and dryness. So i try and direct the majority of the lather to my scalp and guess who lives up there. You guys our friend malassezia, that little yeast that thrives in the oily surfaces of our skin. Very true. If you get these silvery rashy scaly flakes and you don't have eczema or psoriasis. This could be this malassezia yeast taking over. It can cause fungal acne which technically isn't acne. It'S a fungal infection called piterosperm folliculitis, but it could cause that it can cause tenea versa, color, which kind of makes you look spotted like a leopard, usually down like the back, you know, or sometimes on the extremities and like she said this malassezia can overtake the Scalp area cause these big scaly like itchy, patches, um and that's essentially seborrhea. I really enjoy the shampooing process. I find it very relaxing and zen to massage. My scalp, i feel like shower time, is thinking time. It'S the only time that, like i don't have my phone on me and i can actually just like think i also am a water creature at heart when i'm underwater in the ocean in a pool or in the shower my mind is clear and when i shampoo My scalp becomes clear because, like she said, think of cleansing your scalp as like cleansing your face, removing the buildup that gets stuck in here rinsing it out, which includes a lot of oil. If you're me, i do think that we should be able to enjoy our beauty routines instead of having them as routines. Let'S call them rituals. I think that that's a really healthy way to approach beauty, and especially during quarantine and during everything. That'S happened. 2020, just kind of staying home and having a little bit of extra time, maybe for self-care, i feel, is so important. That'S the other thing is that function of beauty does deliver. They have a subscription service, so you can just get this sent to you automatically. I personally don't do that because at least with my hair care, i do like to mix it up every now and then because i like to try new things and see, what's actually going to work for my dry dead split ends. So i haven't gotten the subscription service yet, but it is something that you should consider and if you do want 20 off functional beauty has been kind enough to give that to you. I do not get any kickbacks from that, meaning that i don't earn any affiliate. Commission it does not raise the price for you, etc. It is literally just there in case. You want to use it great news, though, about function of beauty. Currently, they are available not only in the us, but in canada, great britain, the eu, australia, new zealand and many other countries as well. They are available in quite a few countries, which is great, because beauty should not have barriers, always advocate trying to go fragrance free as much as possible. With all of your products, though. Typically, i do use fragrance in my shampoos and conditioners because it can be so hard to find fragrance, free shampoos and conditioners, let alone cruelty, free and vegan. I really need my shampoo and conditioner to leave my hair shiny and bouncy and manageable. I don't want it to be weighed down or greasy, and i want my scalp to feel clean, but i don't want the shafts in my hair to be dry or brittle. I totally relate to everything she's saying it's so funny, because i always see dr dre is like the epitome of healthy hair. My natural texture is super super curly and because it has that curled cuticle, it's exposed in more angles to the sun, which is damage or to the wind or to the environment, and on top of that, my scalp gets oily up here. But even when i brush my hair because it's curly - it's not as easy for those oils to come from up here, all the way down the shaft, which is why i do tend to shampoo this area, the crown or the cap. And then i always put just conditioner and hydrator on the ends. The hydrator i'm actually using as of literally like two days ago, is from function of beauty. This is brand new to me, so i can't speak about whether or not it's super good yet, but it also says function of chemistry, because hi cosmetic chemistry is super cool. Am i right or am i right - and i have been using this mainly on my ends - for just a little bit of extra moisture and hydration, and just to kind of sing them a soft little lullaby and pray to them to not be so split and dead Anymore, you know, but with function of beauty, i am able to have a shampoo and conditioner that that achieves those goals, while excluding fragrance and dies not only that cruelty, free and vegan, i mean what more could i ask for i'm so happy. She mentions cruelty free and vegan. Can we all go spam? Her comments with nice compliments in addition to requesting more vegan and cruelty-free options for everything she talks about. Please, and thank you i then come on with the conditioner, directing it just to the ends of my hair. This helps in coating the hair, shafts and kind of strengthening them and reducing split ends. Now that my hair has gotten long, that's one of my major hair goals is reducing split ends that can lead to hair breakage and a lot of people can mistake, hair breakage for hair loss, and it can be very unsettling to to have a lot of hair Breakage going on, you may feel like you're, losing your hair. You do not want to see the chinchilla that grows at the bottom of my feet by the time i am done with my eight minute shower. It is straight up a horror film created for germaphobes and ocd people, it's terrifying, so with longer hair i try and i try and keep the ends conditioned so that it reduces hair breakage. So once i'm done with the shower, i go and turn the water off, and then i take an old t-shirt to towel dry, my hair with rather than a big heavy terry cloth towel. This will really help in cutting down on hair breakage. If you have long hair, i've always heard of people talking about this plopping technique, i've heard of it, but i have never personally done it. I tried it for the first time, along with some curly hair care products on tick, tock and um. It was like witchcraft like witchcraft of the beauty world. It was sorcery. I was genuinely surprised with the shape of the keratin that was protruding from my head. As soon as i step out to my damp face, i go ahead and apply my moisturizer. I do it right away doing it right away, allows for you to seal in that water that would otherwise just evaporate out of your face as you're stepping out of the shower i'm using the dml moisturizing lotion on my face, and i have also used cerave moisturizing Cream in the tub in the past and numerous other moisturizers, but the principle is the same fragrance free moisturizer too damp skin. If you notice she doesn't go in with a toner and essence or a serum and from a technical perspective, these are not necessary. They can add extra ingredients, extra layers to a skincare routine. They can add extra actives to you know, treat specific problems and, if you're looking to keep it simple and basic, these are the three steps that you should start with. Eliminating. If we look at the ingredients of this dml lotion, it's basically water, petrolatum and glycerin, i understand why she's using it because again it's fragrance free. It does create a nice occlusive barrier to the skin, but i can't figure out if it's cruelty free. I would personally recommend these. Instead, these also have glycerin and dimethicone just like the product that she's using. However, they are cruelty, free um. These are also fragrance free. She mentioned acne um, although this is of course safe for acne, because it's a basic moisturizer there's nothing in here. That would actually fight acne, and so please keep in mind that if you are trying to treat a problem such as acne you're going to need actives such as benzoyl, peroxide or salicylic acid, or if you're, trying to treat pigmentation issues or scars you're again going to Want to use active such as lactic, acid, glycolic, acid, vitamin c, alpha, arbutin or other tyrosinase inhibitors, which are actually going to do the active work to help get you those results. So, yes, this is a moisturizer, so basic that it should work for any skin type. But again, if you have an issue, that's where you bring your targeted treatments in don't fixate too much on the particular product that i'm using it's more the principle that i want you guys to focus on fragrance free diet, free cruelty, free, dr j. Thank you for listing them, but please just list a cruelty-free alternative next to it. Please, and thank you for after i do all this. I end up going and sitting at my computer for a couple of hours before bed, which is not the best for sleep hygiene. But what can i say, shame shame. Shame, shame i do it too. My face is hydrated, moisturized and dry. This is the prime time to put on an active ingredient like tretinoin that is known to be irritating if you put an irritating ingredient on dry, skin or wet skin, an impaired skin barrier you're setting yourself up for more irritation um, i avoid around my eyes around My mouth, what she's recommending is totally true. We'Ve spoken about this in previous videos. If you want a deep dive on retinoic acid, but retinoic acid is part of the vitamin a family. If you want something less intense or if you don't have the ability to see a dermatologist, over-the-counter retinol or retinaldehyde are other ingredients that you can use like she said, placing onto dry moisturized skin is perfect. You can also mix this in with a moisturizer. If you would like to that's another way that the dermatologists that i've worked with have recommended it for use for patients or clients, you can also titrate meaning build up over time. So, instead of using it every day, start off slow. But we've done an entire guide to starting a retinol, which you should definitely watch here if you're, considering it my hair up in this little satin sleep bonnet, you can get these on amazon they're great for cutting down on hair breakage. If you have long hair, like myself, you lay on your pillow, whatever amount of tossing and turning you do it can kind of frizzle frazzle your hair up and for me my hair is long so i'll end up lying on it funny and it kind of puts A crick in my neck and that's uncomfortable, so i love these. She made me buy one of these, i'm in love with it. It'S not a silk one, because i don't use silk um, but it's amazing. It'S another witchcraft, sorcery, hair genius, type thing that i wish. I would have found out about years earlier yeah, i don't brush my hair, though i just do this comb action thing as per usual, i start my morning skincare routine, with sunscreen. I don't wash my face anymore in first thing. In the morning i haven't in quite some time my last skincare routine you'll recall. I didn't do that. I just find i don't need to and there's no need to wash your face the following morning to remove this tretinoin unless you've been advised to. I didn't use a cleanser on my face in the morning either a lot of people freak out when i say that. But it's true, if you've done your skincare routine properly the night before as long as you're, not sweating or getting super oily at night. There'S really! No reason to have to wash that again in the morning and again, ideally, you want to put spf on dry skin. I do use sunscreen every morning that i remember to during quarantine. That'S been a little tough because my entire routine has gotten thrown out of whack, but but yeah. I don't wash my face in the morning either, and it's done great things for my epidermis and probably my dermis too. I put on a good layer of the sunscreen by dermatology, it's spf 45 and has a nice tint to it. It is a combination sunscreen, so it has zinc and it's got some chemical filter. So it gives you good uvb and uva protection and it's really moisturizing. It has niacinamide in it. Dr dre loves this product. I know she mentioned. She doesn't wear a ton of makeup, but this is like a tinted moisturizer with spf, and i love that it's at a high amount of 46. um. That is truly appreciated because we usually don't wear enough sunscreen as it's recommended, and we normally don't apply the way we actually should. She mentioned that this is an organic and mineral formula, meaning a chemical formula as well as a physical formula. The two ingredients in here are zinc oxide, which is one of my favorites as well as octanoxate, which i don't like. I don't like octanoxate, because it is not reef safe um. You know. There is also that controversy of sunscreens that are organic or chemical, absorbing into the bloodstream. Again, we don't know if that's dangerous, it is being looked into. Sunscreens have been used for many many years without issues. Sometimes these chemical or organic filters can cause irritation, especially in children, so obviously, if you're allergic to them, don't use them, but that including my history with acne prone skin is why i personally prefer zinc based or titanium dioxide based, sunscreens, don't forget to put sunscreen on Your ears, you guys that is a really a common place for skin cancers to pop up, is on the ears after i put that on, though i come on with another sunscreen, you don't have to come on with a different brand of sunscreen. I just like the look of the two layered and the second one that i come on with. Is this color science unforgettable sunshield? Spf? 50.? I love this. It'S only a mineral sunscreen. This is actually such an amazing line. Uh color science was actually made with rosacea prone irritated skin in mind, and it's makeup with sun protection and rosacea protection. I highly recommend their products. They are really really good, and this foundation is great and, like dr dre said as long as your first sunscreen goes on, evenly, preferably on dry skin as long as you're putting on an even protected layer, you don't need to go in with multiple layers unless that Original layer was not sufficient, in which case you would want to pat on a second layer just to make sure that you've covered all those bases. If you would like a video on guidelines as to how to apply your sunscreen properly and how to know when to reapply, let me know because, like a cup of coffee, we could make it then, under my eyes, i use this color science total eye three-in-one renewal Therapy spf 35. Again it is a fragrance free mineral tinted sunscreen and it also functions as a nice concealer. It has a peachy undertone, the applicator is kind of cool and it feels nice going on around the eyes. I just pat it in around my eyes. I agree that the applicator is cool, but i'm actually quite surprised that dr dre is using this. Yes, it is fragrance free, but there are a lot of ingredients in here and, as we've noticed from this entire routine, dr dre as a bonafide dermatologist likes to play. It safe she doesn't seem to like products that have some of those extra additives in there. So i'm actually quite surprised that she's using this out of all of the eye creams this one could do some potential benefit with the spf factor. Again, it's really not going to do much for puffiness for dark circles for wrinkles other than the spf, which can help prevent wrinkles from forming um. She actually got me hooked on the super goop sunscreen, which is what i use around my eyes because she recommended it and i started doing it and i was like. Oh my god. I love you even more, but i'm actually kind of surprised based on the ingredients list to see her using this um. It'S not the worst eye cream out there, but again eye creams are overpriced moisturizers. Yes, this works under the eyes, but it would work just as well all over the entire face and that sunscreen that she applied previously, you saw that she applied it to her eyelids and around her eyes and the reason why is because that's totally fine for the Eye area as well, it's fragrance free shouldn't be irritating, but if you want to spend more money on products, that is a choice that you have my friend, i don't have a a a cheaper dupe for this uh. The cheaper dupe is to just put your sunscreen around your eyes and not worry about it, but i love the way that that looks so that's what i use also don't forget to use a dedicated lip spf to your lips. I am so happy that she is bringing up lip protection. This is something that i know better to do, and it is not something that i do every day. Unfortunately, your lips still have epithelial cells. You can still get cancer in this area. It is more common than people know or realize they do need to be protected. Unfortunately, cream is not cruelty. Free here are three spf infused lip balms or lip products that i would personally recommend. Instead, they also don't taste like ass, because i've heard some complaints that vani cream or similar products don't have the best taste, because, yes, you inevitably do eat a small fraction of a percent of the products that you apply on your lips um. But i'd recommend these. Instead and then i come on with my mascara um, i'm currently using wet n wilds mega volume, i use a little extra sunscreen on my hands and i pretty much rely on sun protective clothing during the day for my body like long sleeves and i even drive With gloves on during quarantine and everything going on right now, i really love that wearing masks has become normalized outside of the hospital setting, because now we can wear them around all day and nobody will question us and they're providing extra spf protection. What she's saying is so true, a lot of people don't realize that yes, sunscreen is important to wear it every day, shade and long. Sleeve shirts are your friend and i'm currently using this nivea sunscreen from europe that a viewer sent me it's great. It'S fragrance free and a chemical sunscreen looked up the ingredients. The ingredients are great. I do like that. It is fragrance free, it seems to be a child sunscreen. However, i don't support nydia. They have had some very questionable advertising in other countries that most of their consumers don't know about, and even to this day they are selling skin whitening and skin bleaching creams to these other countries. Trying to spread this narrative. That whiter is better, and obviously dr dre probably doesn't know that anyone else who's purchased. The products probably doesn't know that, because most people don't look into the ethics and the full scope of what these companies are doing. Um. But when i found out about this - and you know the multiple repeat - offenses - that nivea among other brands has had including pawns back to square one they've had some issues with that too. I just find it disgusting and as a consumer, i want to put my money where my morals are, which is why i would prefer these sunscreens instead, and these are cruelty. Free um and, like i said i let the sunscreen dry on there for about 10 minutes, and then i go ahead and take my hair down now i will reapply sunscreen at least two more times today. It'S a behavior and sunscreen is only as good as it is on your face. If you're outdoors, though you need to be reapplying every two hours, dr dre is probably the 0.001 of the population that actually uses sunscreen correctly and as often as you're supposed to, because spf, 30 or 45 doesn't mean you're, protected 30 or 45 you're normally protected between 94 and 97, but that 34 or 35 actually correlates to how many minutes you can stay in the sun before you have to reapply. I do love that dr dre recommends affordable products, that she is really no [ __ ] when it comes to a lot of things, i personally think she's sweet and again we're not here to talk about her personality or her lifestyle choices. We are here to talk about skincare and hair care and how both of these things turn into self-care and turn into you being the best and most beautiful version of yourself from the inside out. Dr dre has got me hooked on these as well as so many other products i swear to god. This woman can sell me anything and again. I am not angry about that. I'M happy to let you know how these go as i continue using them and if you are looking for 20 off again, i do not receive any kickbacks from that, but it is there for you if you'd like to take advantage of it and get yourself a Fragrance free bottle of shampoo or conditioner again thank you to function of beauty for partnering with us on this, and thank you to dr dre for making this content for us for free. I have learned so much from her and i appreciate her so much can we please go spam, her comments with kind adjectives and little blue butterfly emojis and tell her to put cruelty-free alternatives next to her other products. In the description, please - and thank you - i'm not going to shut up about this if you'd like to see me react to her other skincare routine, where i lost my mind for 19 minutes straight, you can watch that right here and if that, like button, is gray Shampoo, it make it all sudsy until it turns blue, like this here bottle and overall always remember to be beautiful both inside and out. I love you and i can't wait to see you in the next video love. You guys bye,

Deborah Fitch: One of the things I love about Dr. Dray is she openly states she won't do reaction videos because she doesn't feel it's right to judge or comment on someone else's routine. It's probably part of the oath: First do no harm.

Mirelly Miranda: Notice how what she used is very affordable and what you recommended was much more expensive. I understand that you have your morals and ethics but I think Dr. Dray was focusing more on the fact that her viewers might be on a budged and can’t drop 30 dollars on each product

ForTe StoLLen: This video is like watching a Pre-Med student commenting on a Surgeon.

pink salamander: The fact that you felt qualified to critique a board certified dermatologist is absolutely adorable. Bless your heart.

Ivana Prica: Be kind... DOCTOR Dray is wonderful and I trust her advice. :) You can disagree in a classy manner without putting other people down.

Heather: I'll take Dr. Dray's advice any day. She breaks down individual products that are affordable and keeps it simple. She is more than qualified as a dermatologist.

Jenn: Dr Dray recommends affordable products. Cereave has literally saved my skin & it's not expensive.

Callie Reed: Dr. Dray is the shit... confused why you would be “pissed off” about content that doesn’t necessarily cater to your ideals. You are watching HER skincare routine and are getting pissed off by the fact that she doesn’t use cruelty free. So backward to me.

Heather Fonseca: Dr dray’s whole platform is helping people find effective beauty products that everyone can afford and find at local retail outlets. Her platform is not cruelty free or “clean”, so if that’s really important to you she’s probably not for you. She has done several cruelty free videos, but it’s not her focus. Her focus is fragrance free, non-irritating formulas and the importance of sunscreen. I think it’s a little unfair to criticize her so intensely for something that just isn’t her platform.

The Reborn King: The more I see of Cassandra the more I am starting to become frustrated at the gimmicky push she gives for “cruelty free.” If people would please look into “cruelty free” they would see it almost does not exist. Also, what do you take issue with? Treatment of workers in factories? The workers who mine the raw materials? Where does cruelty end? There’s no way that products are 100% cruelty free. Or do you take issue with animal testing? Which is NOT how these “influencers” make it out to be. As a researcher, and specifically a neuroscientist, from a safety standpoint you want products that will not be harmful in the long run. If not for animal testing, we would not have the studies that have been published indicating which ingredients are harmful to humans whether it be topically, or carcinogens, etc. Also, research performed at academic institutions or otherwise are performed according to IACUC standards where a group of researchers, veterinarians, and everyday citizens will review the research protocols that are proposed to ensure animals will not be exposed to undue suffering, meaning care is taken to minimize any pain or suffering to the animals. If there is pain or suffering to the animals and the research is not impactful, the studies do not happen because the IACUC protocols are not approved. Also, as a researcher who performed neuroscience research on rodents, at our AALAC accredited institution, veterinarians check the animals daily to ensure they are healthy, are not exhibiting pain, etc. Any rat that is exhibiting any health issues are treated appropriately. Also animals are used for as many studies as possible to maximize research and minimize the number of animals used. There are guidelines that are followed by the institution with the care of animals, and if they are not followed, the veterinarian will report the researcher to the NIH, and their NIH funding and ability to conduct research will be revoked. Researchers cannot get away with unapproved harming of animals without serious repercussions, and there are many checks and balances in place, so people should educate themselves and realize that this fear mongering whether it is by influencers, brands or even PETA (don’t get me started on how unethical this organization/thing is) is typically a marketing/sales ploy.

Senator: Dear Cassandra, 1. Dr. Dray has mentioned several times that she only has a plant-based diet and never identifies herself as a true vegan. Why does she have to recommend vegan alternatives for products when she doesn't really identify herself as a vegan? (No wonder we vegans get so much hate.) 2. Dr. Dray has already said in a few of her videos that - according to her, there isn't enough evidence to prove that chemical sunscreen filters actually damage coral reefs and that several of those studies actually have massive loopholes. Hence, she doesn't feel the need to stop using filters touted as being dangerous for the reefs. 3. Dr. Dray has also repeatedly mentioned that just because she's using a product currently doesn't mean she would recommend it to others. She gets sent a shit load of products to try (like all Youtubers do) by companies, subscribers, in subscription boxes, etc. and she tries to use up as many products as possible because just throwing it away for not being vegan/free of irritating ingredients/unethical is wasteful and way worse for the environment than using a product/brand you don't really agree with. These are just my two cents - no offense intended. I really didn't want to comment but I felt like I needed to this time.

Cåt ll: Now after reading all the positive comments about Dr. Dray, I'll definitely need to go to her channel and subscribe. Damn, I didn't know what I've been missing. If I can get high quality advice from a professional dermatologist for free and on top of that being able to afford the products recommended, then I'm totally in. Too many positive comments is hard to ignore. Dr. Dray? Here I gooooo...

Vasudha Cidambi: I am a supporter of cruelty free cosmetics, but Cassandra is making those of us who go cruelty free look elitist and in-your-face. Not a great look since most of us are not this pushy and will still trust the advice of those with experience(Dr. Dray).

Zay Rubicco: Dr Dray literally saved my skin! My skin is better now in my 40s than when I was in my 20s…I’m a mom of 5 so I can’t spend 100s on my skin care so I only buy products she recommends

D. Washington: Cassandra, honey please get your moods under control. It is a dermatologist, not a serial killer. Relax, you are right. So is she.

Chuulip: I really respect cassandra a lot but when she celebrates things being "GMO free" like a Karen I just can't lol. As a geneticist and molecular biologist I work with GMOs and there is just absolutely zero reason for why everyone demonizes it. Especially not by categorically saying they are something you wouldn't want. Hhhhh this makes me so angry

Moomin: I always got weird vibes from this channel because she's recommending a lot of overpriced or useless products and only seems to make content for upper middle class women. I still liked to watch her videos from time to time but I just discovered this video and oof. Dr Dray isn't above everything else and it's ok to criticise her but this video made me cringe so much. Just so embarrassing

Amber Rose: Honestly... I am a medical Esthetician as well and I agree with dr dray, she does recommend actives just not in every single product you don’t need that much. Keep your actives to retinol or serums it’s on the skin longer masks as well , cleanser has one purpose clean the skin it’s on and off why spend $$ on every single product why not have one or two concentrated products and spend the money on them giving you result without wasting money on something that’s wax on wax off. Also the cruelty free thing is kinda ridiculous and makes you seem like you have your head up your own arse , makes you sound like a Karen.... she gives many examples of product that’s is cruelty free, and many that are cost effective because not everyone is interested expensive products. Cassandra you are knowledgeable and so is dr dray, I’m not going to compare because dermatologists have skin health in mind, esthetician’s are interested in the appearance of the skin. I like to consider both. Also dr dray is bringing great info to all walks of life imagine you can’t afford to see a dermatologist..... and you find her channel or, a professional such as us and she offers a different view and education for free.. get off it there’s room for everyone seriously.

smilingismyfavorit: Dr Dray has a very minimalist routine and consumes a tiny fraction of the large volume of products you go through and promote. Do you think it's better for animals and their environment to consume a large number of products that are cruelty free and come in tiny packages that are then disposed of and in most cases not properly recycled? Compared to Dr Dray recommending a very basic and streamlined skincare routine with larger bottle sizes that last longer and contribute to less waste? You may want to re-examine your own routine and all the products you promote before getting on your soapbox preaching about your ethics and the animals and the environment.

Sloth: Reviewing other people’s routines while staying classy and kind is truly an art... which you haven’t mastered yet. And btw I don’t watch Dr. Dray, so no, I’m not defending anyone.

Esther Garcia: *me coming here just to support how great Dr. Dray is*. I confirm my dermatologists advice with hers. She’s literally the best.

Tatjana Gajanovic: You literally chose “The ONLY ONE person” on YT who is legite and helping people FOR FREE with REAL CERTIFIED skincare advice. Whatever you thought you were doing, its not cool.

livliv: Lol the audacity "I've been in the industry for 10 years"vs an actual medical professional who got a degree that took 6 years, did 1 year of internship in different hospital departments, 1 or more years of residency and 4 years of training before even becoming a dermatologist. And then add all the years of medical practice.

aerial taproot analysis: I appreciate dr dray, she is the holy grail of youtube, i wish she was around when i was younger.

Kim Lloyd-George: Dr Dray is great because she is a seasoned professional; isnt into trends; and is honest with no bells and whilstles.

Sally Rao: I don’t know why u had to pick on her routine ? she’s doing her best with drugstore products and does a great job explaining them too … She’s sooo good and clever . Her content might be basic in derm world but we don’t know the basics. That’s the problem

Cathy Gordon: Well, I'd like to know what type of degree, and medical school, internship and published research about dermatology are required to call yourself a "medical esthetician." I've seen other Cassandra videos and she's very passionate about skincare and makeup. But she goes off the rails often enough and delves into her history with depression, being institutionalized for mental health treatment, and just generally SAD things that I think she's maybe trolling for some real friends. She's so hard to listen to, I think maybe she's a speed freak. ONLY MY OPINION.

Love Dove: I think Dr. Dray says plenty about cruelty free and Vegan products. Dr. Dray just doesn't leave out the other products that still works. She gives a balanced view cause not everyone cares about cruelty free or vegan products, some people just want something that works. This lady needs to chill, Dr. Dray has her own way of explaining these products.

Ali〉 in Wonderland: I personally love Dr. Dray, just discovered her channel recently. I have followed Cassandra for years and I love her as well. My problem with this video (and I'm being objective) is that first of all Cassandra isn't a board-certified Dermatologist and second of all, I strongly dislike the fact that people push their views and morals and people so much, I think it's such a disservice to the Vegan community. Wish more people would understand that. You should lead by example and be respectful of others. I don't think Cassandra had bad intentions because she does seem genuine but she has to realize and understand how that comes off. I don't think she is in the position to be telling everyone how to be vegan, what's acceptable and what isn't, etc. Apart from that I just don't like the comments she had to make on a lot of the products that Dr. Dray mentioned. If Cassandra truly watched her videos she would realize that Dr. Dray recommends them for a reason and always talks about the fact that certain natural products (sometimes vegan products) have ingredients that are irritants and are not the best for the skin, Dr. Dray knows her stuff so I just think it's silly that Cassandra is acting like in a way she knows more. Being objective and real, I just don't think she is qualified to speak like she is at the level of Dr. Dray professionally. I don't think people are being 'negative' in the comments, I think we're just expressing what seems obvious in this video.

Joseph Franc: Nope keep Dr Dray the way she is. She's one of the few YouTubers that actually bring value to my life rather than trying to take my money. I'll be vegan when I can afford it.

Stephen Bailey: No offense, but I’m not convinced by the phrase “cruelty free” in the sense that I don’t believe that all non-cruelty free brands are actually truly “cruel” to animals. Not everyone is into solely clean consumption or fully cruelty free brands. There is no such thing as purely ethical consumption in the modern world. We all contribute in some way to negative environmental impacts, negative impacts toward animals, negative impacts towards plant and sea life, etc. I don’t believe that 100% of brands that test on animals are cruel to said animals. Maybe I am wrong. Correct me if you think I am. I just find the phrase “cruelty” free a little sensationalist sometimes. Do you really think all companies that test on animals are cruel to animals they test on? I don’t believe that at all. Lastly, PLEASE STOP CRITICIZING CONSUMERS. Take your beef up with the companies. Not the consumers. Not all consumers have the privilege or resources or money to focus their energy and money into cruelty free only brands.

Jessica Kulikowski: Honestly, Dr Dray has saved my skin! I love how affordable the products she recommends are. I was going through really bad "maskne" and since using products like Neutrogena and Cera Ve my skin has been looking great!

C P: Dr. Drays advice on skincare saved my skin and I didn’t have to pay her 1 penny.

G B: I'm glad the majority of the comments are in support of Dr. Dray you really thought you could come for a real one but it backfired horribly ‍♂️

Somnolent verve: I'm a broke college student and I live in a 3rd world country, so a lot of the products you recommend just aren't accessible to me, and even if they were, I simply can't afford them. DR Dray's product recommendations however tend to be on products that are affordable, and accessible to me (brands like Cerave, La Roche Posay, Avéne, Neutrogena...) and they tend to generally work. What I like about Dr Dray's videos is other than the clear fact that they are educational and informative, she also favours doing the bare minimum to one's skin and she doesn't push using excessive amounts of products. I guess my main point is that while heeding ethical considerations is great and noble, you should also consider the fact that a lot of the products you show just aren't affordable nor accessible to some of your viewers.

thequeerbee: The privilege and classism in this video is astonishing.

M P: I've been watching your videos quiet regularly these days and stumbled upon this one. And I must say, your obsession with cruelty free is really scary. Coming from a third world country and broke asf college student I can't afford the products you suggest except the K-beauty ones compared to Dr. Dray's.

Smita: Dr dray is highly educated and I trust her!!

Night Crawler: I always love and trust Dr. Dray skin care recommendations, it's mostly cheap and affordable and it works too, plus she doesn't make any reviews to any channel just to prove that her advices are more better than to anyone, and lastly Dr. Dray is so reliable and l cannot take someone else advice most specially if YOU ARE NOT ACTUALLY A LICENSE DERMATOLOGIST.

MAK: Let me see...do I listen to a dermatologist (Dr. Dray) who went to medical school for 10+ years or someone who thinks they know about skin because they took a couple of courses and think they know more than a dermatologist?

Shanna Saw: I will just opt for an “affordable” fragrance-free skincare regimen that will work on my skin and are “available” in my country. That’s it. ✌

Isabel M: After binge watching a bunch of Cassandra’s videos I’m beginning to realize that she gives me those intense born again Christian vibes. You know, those Christians who weren’t Christians growing up (in fact quite the opposite), but had a wild childhood and basically participated in every no no activity in the book as far as Christianity is concerned, but eventually ‘saw the light’ and spend the rest of their days shaming and condescending the very group of people they used to be. You’d think their experiences would make them less hypocritical and more compassionate, but no. They’ve decided that the best way to convert people is by pointing out every single thing they are doing wrong and acting like they’ve seen it all before. Cassandra Bankson is the born again Christian type of the Skincare/Vegan communities. Edit: While a lot of people in the comments are just mad that Cassandra is bashing Dr. Dray, I think a lot of the more reasonable people are just upset at how Cassandra doesn’t seem to realize that cruelty free products are not the cheapest and most readily available products for the average Joe and this video just exposes how truly out of touch she is with her audience now that she has gained some fame.

Jenny H.: $50 for a bottle of shampoo and conditioner is not affordable for the average person.

Mary Grise: Dr. Dray has given me hope for my skin. It’s affordable for me because I am a single mom I am a six. She is a dermatologist that has saved my skin and my money.

crystal miller: She’s a dermatologist and you’re not so I trust her over anything you say.

Jackie: Lmao I eat vegan, am in medical school, and use cerave, cetaphil, and drugstore products. I also take several medications that are not vegan! She has her MD and PhD, like come on.

Alma Jimenez: I just started watching this girl and honestly I was starting to like her until she started going off about the cruelty I get it and I don’t think she’s wrong about the waste and cruelty to animals but she’s recommending things that are not affordable to every person and available. It’s ok to have our personal values but to try and push them on people not ok she’s complaining about dr. Dray not caring about the cruelty whilst she doesn’t care about the cost of the products she’s recommending

Fine Curls: Dr. Dray recommends affordable skin care. And I appreciate your criticism but Dr. Dray has helped me achieve amazing skin. So even though her skincare is "basic" it actually works.

Maya *: I want to see the doctor evaluate your skin care routine now ‍♀️

agathqkazoo: i can't believe she's still to this day judging professionals when she's nothing but an esthetician. she's been pissing people off. unbelievable.

Nuriat Adzariat: she is a doctor, so everything is from science point of view, not vegan point of view

Unprofessional Critic: I love how not a single comment here is dragging on Dr Dray. Everyone knows Dr Dray's worth. If you thought you'd be eliminating competitors you chose the wrong person.

Tea Time: Petrolatum/mineral oil is non-comedogenic, hypoallergenic and protective. I really wish people would stop bashing this ingredient.

S S: She’s an MD you are not . She has went through 4 years of college , 4 years if medical school , 4 years of residency , followed by a fellowship in dermatology . 13-15 years of schooling and training .

Sk Sk: Dr Dray is a professional and she 100% follows evidence based practice. I believe Dr Dray and follow her advice.

bag ofhammers: "Coconut oil, olive oil, vegetable oil...." Gurl no. I'll stick with Ponds cold cream, mineral oil is not bad

RoadtripPassion: Dr. Dray has literally transformed my skin, thankful for her channel. I'd trust a board-certified dermatologist over anyone else on youtube. Thank you Dr. Dray for your "basic" and inexpensive recommendations that have worked beautifully on my skin.

Flying Cloud: Is funny how you call yourself an "expert" when you are about to react to a professional who actually is expert in this field: an actual dermatologist. There is no more expert when it comes to skin than dermatologists, and "medical aestheticians" are way below their level of knowledge, quite the corage to refer to yourself as an expert while criticizing dr Dray in the same video, wow

Patrice B: Honestly, I decided to watch this out of curiosity to see how you broke down an actual DERMATOLOGIST skin care routine. The reason so many people love & respect Dr. Dray is her ability to recommend so many affordable skincare products that actually work. Her channel has grown exponentially in a short time for that reason. Unfortunately your recommendations are generally very pricey and based only on your ethical views. It is your channel and therefore your choice as to what to promote. As one of the few actual DERMATOLOGIST on YouTube many of us love her advice on skincare!

Gurkirat Malhi: if you don’t like certain things, that’s your thing to deal with. We love her, she is great. keep your judgments to you. we don’t want it

Jeremy Jackson: We’re here to learn about skincare. Not going vegan lol jesus.

charlotteszabo: i know you don't like eye creams.. but i cant put normal sunscreen around my eyes they blur and water and get irritated, an spf eye cream really works for me, i appreciate Dr Dray for recommending that. also, i really love your videos, i've never been so informed about chemicals in my skincare, but i do have to agree with others, you have a condesending almost bitchy tone, that i wholeheartedly do not believe is intentional, i don't believe you are that kind of person, just your passion for skin care and cruelty free/ vegan beliefs take over sometimes, and it comes across badly. i didn't write this to make you feel bad, i really like your content just wanted you to know how it comes across some times. xx

Raquel Caicedo: The sarcasm in the “morals values and ethics” part is strong on this one

Zeruda Densetsu: This is my biggest issues with the vegan community, you’re never vegan enough. It gets really annoying fast hearing ‘not cruelty free’ 1000x times. What does that even mean? Cruelty towards the animals? The workers in the factories? The workers who mine the raw material? There’s no way that stream is completely‘cruelty free’. :S Also like others already pointed out these items are super expensive, cheaper alternatives are a must.

Mariah Hall: Dr.Dray is very professional in what she does and I absolutely respect her. She knows what she’s doing. She is a very intelligent woman. Great content and tips she provides for us.

Haley P.: Yikes. This is why we trust people like Dr. Dray over you.

Julia: Dr Dray is a physician! You are not! Stop criticising her opinion and product choice! It’s your choice of going cruelty-free, which should not impact the opinion of others

yohana intan: Dr. Dray saved my skin, she is the one that teach me about differin, how to apply them, how to reduce the inflammation period. If there is no Dr. Dray i have to go to the dermatologist and we all know how expensive it is. And I believe I’m not the only one who was helped by her video. So NO, her products is not ✨basic✨ it’s useful to people

V: Don't just use any kind of oil for oil cleansing, Google the comedogenic level of what you want to use first and make sure it's ok for your skin type x

Nada Pw: I will watch someone’s own routine and push my own opinion on people. Truly it’s her choice to recommend the products she wants to recommend you don’t have to wine about her not recommending certain options. She does mention the ingredients to look for in a product and the ones to avoid so if you want cruelty free, check the cruelty free products with or without the mentioned ingredients. Do your homework, she does not owe you anything and doesn’t have to do it for you. She’s doing us all a favor to even mention and talk about everything she talks about.

Melissa Viau: I feel that it's really hard to find vegan and cruelty free skincare products that are also Gluten-free. I'm coeliac and I react to gluten even if I don't ingest it. Do you have suggestions for a skincare routine that's Gluten-free?

sandcastles: Dr Dray is an actual doctor, I’ll trust her advice more thanks

brittany king: I've been a medical aesthetician for 8 years and I love dr dray I love learning from her! Without dermatologist there would be no aesthetician you need to humble yourself honey

Eliana A: I think it takes courage and a lot of knowledge and experience to be able to react to a brilliant dermatologist's skincare like Dr Andrea. As a biochemist I don't agree with everything Cassandra said but of course I still respect her and appreciate her content therefore I will neither like or dislike this video just sending respect and positivity ❤

Carolina Cancelado: I love basic! Is cheap, and if it keeps my skin clear and beautiful…. Yup! I’m using it! Please list a non- cruelty free product for those that would like to use alternatives.

B D: Thank you for highlighting all the cruelty free alternatives throughout this video I know people are going to be offended but keep being true to you and your values!!

Djoni Elkady: This video was a little cringe worthy to get through. Dr. Dray approaches skincare from a research based background and what works clinically for patients and is safe. You stated your point of using more vegan products or recommending alternatives, but you kept reiterating the same critique throughout the whole video.

d: When I was a student juggling jobs and studies, I couldn’t afford to always go for cruelty free options or high end products. Dr dray saved my skin without making a dent in my pocket. So there you go. Sorry that you feel “ pissed off lately” but not everyone has the luxury to choose cruelty free options even if they are morally and ethically sound. P.S. I used to watch you before and life happened and i left youtube for a while, this is the first video I have watched since then and its disappointing. You used to be humble.

Diane Cagnole: Give me a break! Dr.Dray gives excellent advice and recommendations. I don’t know how YOU can possibly disagree with anything she has to say. You try to come across as someone with a lot of knowledge however you don’t compare to Dr.Dray!

A T: Dr Dray mention it before in a couple of her videos she don’t often recommend vegan or cruelty free brands because a lot of them are nonsensical by adding a bunch of extract and essential oil, natural or clean. I rmb she mentioned it in her Ceramedx video. She sometime will sprinkle cruelty free products if they also fragrance free and affordable and she is aware of them.

Ethan Jacob Belarmino: Why is mineral oil so underrated lol. It's actually non-comedogenic despite the myths, and it's highly purified and filtered. Man, we gotta trust our cosmetic chemists/scientists too.

olivia morenzoni: She is an MD & PHD. I just don’t agree with this video, Dr. Dray is so educated.

daisy barrera: Anybody who has watched Dr Dray knows she be giving out FREE ADVICE!!! A whole free consultation!!! Girl she’s a whole dermatologist. You shouldn’t be getting mad that she doesn’t use cruelty free products. It’s her decision.

Lucid Dreamer: Her looking up the ingredients of skincare DOCTOR Dray uses and then commenting on it! The Audacity! The whole video is cringe-worthy. She reacts to it as if she is the Dermatologist and Dr Dray is the Esthetician lol! AND THE THUMBNAIL! Seriously?

Viking Queen Felicia: I have very long hair and have for over a decade. The best way I have found to keep my ends from being dry and breaking is to put a small amount of conditioner onto my ends prior to shampooing. The other thing I do is gently comb my conditioner into my hair after shampooing. My hair is wavy, thick and I have lots of it. Condition➡️shampoo➡️condition I also have been using tshirts to wrap my hair for 20+ years and use a mulberry silk pillowcase.

Journey With Keren: I know this is an old video, but I love Cassandra and I'm new to her channel. She is funny AF! and also informative. But I'm here for jokes

Maria Perez: Than again this is dr. Drays skin care routine that works for her skin. Thats why everyone else needs to do whats best for their skin type.

Nun Yabidness: Well she’s onto something cuz ever since I started watching dr dray I’ve been using stuff without fragrance and my skin is 100x better

Brielle Marshall: You just a good job of rubbing me the wrong way omg This is super disrespectful. Saying values and ethics like she didn’t have any was jaw dropping to me. Get the same degree and then make this video.

Nguyen Rose: Dr drays professional advice has saved me skin repeatedly whereas your advice is entertaining...but has never helped improve my skin dramatically. Dr dray does so much medical research. She isn’t just trying to sell crap

Casey Planck: Yes to wanting more cruelty-free options.....from all beauty YouTubers !

Rachel: While I respect the opinions expressed in this video, Dr Dray recommends AFFORDABLE and ACCESSIBLE products. It would be nice if there were more accessible and affordable and affective, cruelty free options but unfortunately there is not. And to be honest not everyone is willing to risk using coconut oil on their face. So to each their own. Not everyone wants to pay that kind of money for the more “ethical”, “vegan” products especially in this day and time where most people need to save a penny and their face!

A M: Lol the audacity to react like this to a literal doctor

Katie O: Thank you so much for sharing the importance of looking into a product more than just the ingredients. The full scope or impact of a single product is hard to define but cruelty, ethics and morals are so important! Not to mention the human and environmental costs.

Cheyenne S Romero: Would love to see more videos specifically for new estheticians on how to grow in the esthetician industry, tips and advice please.

Brenda Gomez: I really appreciated you highlighting cruelty free! I would love if she recommended cruelty free products more too! Thank you for your recommendations! (:

Ayesha: Funny how an esthetician thinks she knows more than a dermatologist

rita camisao: Dr. Dray saved my skin she is the best, love her.

Noora Queen: If you go to a dermatologist! They won’t recommend a vegan ! They would recommend the best things

Janet Burrell: Cassandra is BEYOND unprofessional.Make recommendations, provide reasoning but the juvenile facial expressions, the bullying/mocking gestures. She needed to be sent to her room until she could learn that one’s preferences are not necessarily everyone’s preferences and the art of agreeing to disagree with some modicum of taste.
