Yo, i'm in here doing a braid out, and i noticed my lock is breaking it's breaking a few months ago i was doing a retwist with a cone and when i was comb retwisting it it literally got tangled up in my hair in this area, and so It got extremely broken and the only way i was able to get the comb out of my head was by breaking the comb, and i feel like at this point my lock is done. I feel like i need to cut this off and reattach it and i've. Never done it before and i'm super like nervous and scared to cut it off, but i feel like it needs to be like this part of my lock is thick and this part is just super thin. I don't know if i can do it. I feel like i just have to cut it off and go for it. So when i finished my retwist a few months ago, when this happened, i really thought i was going to be able to save it and, as you can tell yeah it's not working, i don't want my lock to continue to grow on broken hair. So i'm just gon na have to try to go in and repair it so that in the future it stays strong. Okay, i just cut my lock, oh all, right y'all. So this is a heads up. This is not a tutorial. I'M literally doing this in real time, not knowing how to really reattach my lock and just kind of using prior knowledge that i have just on hair in general and kind of adding it to what i've seen when i see people do lock extensions. Essentially, i'm just going to reattach my lock as if it was a lock extension and make it blend. So the first thing i did was kind of comb out that area, because i kind of wanted to get those shed hairs away from my scalp because of course, i've been hold on to dead hair for the last two years. So i comb that out added oil and water just to help moisturize it, because you never want to do anything on dry hair right. So i'm like okay, i got to do something so i decided like okay, let's go ahead and do a starter lock and then that's how i'll leave the ends out and reattach it so right here i did a comb coil, which is actually kind of how the Re-Twist malfunction occurred is because i was spinning it too fast at the wrong angle, and my hair got tangled around the comb, so be careful if you do comb retwist, because that's very important and not having a malfunction like i did. However, i left the end of that starter, lock out, and i began to kind of like comb out the top of my lock, because i'm like man, when i see lock extensions, they normally have frayed ends so that it can help attach to something right. It can help attach to the end of my starter lock. So i was like okay go ahead and poke some of those hairs out also it'll kind of get rid of some of the thinning hair. That kind of locked in my lock in general over the last month, so then i was like okay, i'm gon na get this this lock on here. So basically, i was like okay split it in two and start to crochet or instant lock. One part of the starter lock to the frayed ends of my lock and then wrap the second part of the starter lock around the first part that you crocheted the lock to that's what i was thinking in my head. So that's what i went ahead and did first, i went in with the i think this is a 0.5 millimeter crochet needle and crochet. The frayed ends to one part of the starter, lock and then wrap the second part of my starter, lock around that, so that it can double secure it so that it won't just be hanging off. So that's kind of what i did. I also went in and like palm rolled it a little bit to kind of get it to you know condense together, i don't honestly, i don't know how much i crocheted this and palm rolled it. I just did it till it. It blended really well um, and then i was like okay. What can i do to make? It look evened out from the part that i instant locked to the part that is starter locked, so i took some of the like shed hairs and wrapped them around and crocheted those in there as well, so that it didn't look like super okay. Here'S the starter, lock and then boom here's the mature lock, so i added those hairs in between those sections just to make it look more natural and just to be more secure. Now i washed my hair literally right before this, so i'm not using dirty hair. I literally just use hair that i've already washed normally when people do like extensions or lock extensions, they take fake, hair and wrap it around in between the starter, lock and the lock to make it blend. So that's kind of where i got that from. If that makes sense, that's kind of where i got that from so i just palm rolled it crocheted it again to make it look even at this point it's getting closer to what i needed to look like, but it wasn't exactly there. So i just went in again and kept crocheting kept crocheting until it looked natural. At this point, in my mind, i was just thinking just keep crocheting. So, like nemo said, just keep swimming just keep swimming. That'S exactly what i was thinking. Let'S go, let's go so at this point i was super excited because i could actually see where my hair was starting to blend. Well, my starter light was starting to blend, with my actual lock that i was attaching and it actually turned out pretty good. I ain't gon na lie. I was a little scared that when i cut my lock off, it was gon na be a wrap. So at this point i'm like okay. What do i do after i retwist or do anything to my locks? I put a duckbill clip on it and i let it sit for a minute. So that's exactly what i did. I took a duckbill clip and just put it right on that area that i was really doing a lot of the crocheting at just to reinforce what i was trying to do and that's pretty much how i got my lock back on y'all. So it was a lot going through my head at that time. Well, that is it for this video make sure you like share and subscribe. I hope to see you guys next time, bye,
