How To Make Thin Hair Look Thicker | TODAY

Thinning hair makes me feel very self-conscious. That is the reason why we're hats a lot in the summer, because of that, if the winds blowing the hair blows it separates, you see your scalp. You get sunburned on your scalp, which is something you know. People with thin hair have to deal with, and it's just you know. I know as I'm aging it's getting thinner and I just have to find a solution. Let me show you a couple things to give. Your hair, the illusion of look and thicker some women think by not cutting their hair. It looks thicker, but the reality is. You have to cut it, because if you don't it's got a lot of strength. It'S not like thanks, don't do it! So my experience, you don't want to have bangs reason if you think about your hair and if you see your hair, looking so fanned by you removing banks in front of your face, you're literally removing hair out of your head. So that's why, when a lot of women asks me for bangs, I always say no, i don't recommend a lot of layers on somebody's hair, adding a texture with a little bit of life. I think it's okay, if you have thin hair, you might want to consider up doing a blunt cut and the reason why is because again the approaches you don't want to remove hair. You just want to keep the hair that you have by adding a darker base. Color to your hair, it will give you the illusion to have a lot more. Sometimes, if you have a lot of thinness and you approach it by going lighter, then you're gon na run into a problem. So I definitely try to give my clients to a darker base. Color. Okay, you might want to play with your part because you might be thinner in some places than others. You can always either use your pinky and just start kind of odd zigzag. It a little bit and you can always masquerade. So here we go. Oh wow, oh my gosh gee that looks fabulous. It really looks good. I don't have any more holes. Definitely gon na be hanging up the Hat, so I can tell you that hello today, fans thanks for checking out our YouTube channel subscribe by clicking that button down there and click on any of the videos over here to watch. The latest interviews show highlights, and digital exclusives

dlshinku: My hair started thinning years ago and its become one of my biggest things I'm self conscious about. After being told so many times to cut it I never listened because I wasn't sure what the outcome would look like. Now I finally have the courage to go through with a new hairstyle after seeing it work out perfectly for her

Annie Thompson: Thank you !! Great advice I'm retired hairstylist of many years & my hair has thinned significantly....needed this refresher since I still do my own hair ....almost cut bangs again but, did not per your guidance ! xoxo

Sharina Singh: Great advice amazing stylist he is honest and cares about how effective your hair style makes you look fuller head of hair

헤어터치 미세스주: Woww it's so amazing! She became look so younger! I've been a hair designer in south Korea for over 50+ years. So my regular customers are also getting older with me. It's so sad to see them worrying about their hair getting so thin. Thank you for the great tips !

Donna Thornburg: Thanks for the tips. My hair is so thin and trying to grow it out from a pixie at 73

Jocelyn Jones: Her hair looks great.

Nadine Reffel: It looks gorgeous on you lady - ROCK IT!

Johanne Champagne: I completely disagree that darker hair camouflages a white scalp better than light hair. All hair coloring treatments, but especially lightening the hair, makes hair coarser and therefore a little thicker but dark hair makes a white scalp by contrast, show more, not less.

Melinda Mitchell: I cut my hair to right below the collar. Nice and fuller looking. I like it a lot now. It is light brown with blond highlights. I always have the roots done darker. If you don't want to run to the salon every week or too for a root touch up, just use the Nice and Easy root touch up and boom your covered. I also have a great help in my arsenal. Root touch up powder with brush by Joan Rivers on QVC or HSN product by Adrienne with the brush. You can put this on the roots or use it where you have hardly any hair like up in the temples. I swear by this stuff. My stylist does a great job. My hair would be white without the color! Sometimes I blow it dry straight down and other times for a fuller look I put my head upside down and blow it dry that way. Then I put my head back up and the hair is so full. I style it with a regular brush and pop on some hair spray. Looks classy and full. I hate the extensions these gals are putting in today. So fake looking. Why do they do it? I don't like long hair for the sake of long hair! Even if it looks bad they have it hanging there. It never moves. I wish women would ditch this look and go back to real hair and different styles.

Laura Beldin: Great cut love it

PaulaBill1: He did a great job. But there is another thing you can use that makes a huge difference. I use something called DermMatch. It comes in colors to match your natural color. Paint it along the part line where you are thinnest and in the back if you have loss there. Then blow dry or dry your hair . it stays put and you can no longer see your scalp. It thickens each hair strand and it literally will make your hair look much, much thicker. Your scalp will not show. It is better than the spray on stuff in my experience by a lot and does not smell at all.

Joan Gentile: Wow!! Absolutely beautiful!!

Lukrécia Macskássy: I would like to have an appointment with him for once with my thinning and fine-ing hair. I have the same hair what this lady has.

Rosa Falcon: Love it...❤

cromerbeach: I also use temp root tough up spray the kind that washes out with a shampoo , I find it works well at covering up the thinning hair on the scalp,

Angie T: I started taking vitamin B12 and it has helped tremendously. I also take a vitamin with iron 3 times a week along with biotin. I used to take all of those vitamins and used nioxin but that B12 did make a difference. I take one every day along with D3 also.

Donna: Lots of round brushing done. I have thin hair, but love bangs with a blunt cut. Not as short as this one, but to my shoulders. Does anyone know if he's saying "not to have blonde hair"? Or just a darker base but you can still have blonde highlights.

Iliana Diaz: Beautiful!

Roseanne King: A lot of women lose hair as they age. If it’s genetic it’s hard to find anything that works. I’ve been using Jason Thin to Thick shampoo with Biotin and it helps my hair look and feel thicker plus I started taking Biotin supplements and my hair is not coming out as much now.

Milica Djukich: Beautifully done. I,m balding in the middle, I. Wear hair powder and wear a wig ponytail, which covers most of the area. I. Don,t know what a stylist would do, AM PRAYING HAIR TO GROW. Doctors say its the thyroid thats making women bald. GREAT LOOK GREAT JOB.

Lisa Alexander: Me too...where my scalp shows thru, I apply $2 eye shadow to the actual scalp..no need to pay more

NightOwl 75: The best trick and advice for thing hair.thanks

Donna: Looks great. Just a little product on roots on and she parted it down the side instead on the middle. I wish he could do my hair.

Alex G: I've been cursed with fine and straight hair .. I'm triple cursed because of my high forehead. I've had bangs most of my life to try and deal with my forehead However bangs have been nothing but trouble too as they go flat in humid and damp weather.. So sick of it!!! lol Anyway a few months ago I started growing them out so that I can side part my hair and tuck the longer bangs behind each of my ears. Not quite there yet.. Wish me luck. I don't want to go back to a full bang. ;-(

Gulshan Rasheed: Wonderful, but heat further damages the thin hair.

Katie O'Donnell: Thank you!

Tandoori: Didn't he contradict himself? He recommended layered hair and then he recommended a blunt cut

Priya K: But when you wash your hair, the blow dry is off and you again have thin thin hair and scalp visible..

Ida Saenz: EXCELLENT and Beautiful

SeeingEyesSeeLies: Dry shampoo added when hair is nearly dry adds volume better than any other product that I've tried for blow drying thin hair. Batiste and Tresseme are my favs.

Ivan Richard Mamuyac: Before, bald middle part. After, messy side part.

Carmen Neumann: Nice job

Debbie Doo: Worthless!!! He didn't show how to actually style the hair.

Seven Ellen: And what if you want long hair?

Moon: I've a hair problem I have no hair on my forward scalp since I was 12.. i just want to experience what is it to have normal hair.. T.T

Jeannie H: I cut my hair shorter and use toppik right now.

Joan Racano: Wow!

christine beames: Lovely

Gina2190: Why are women loosing so much hair nowadays ? Never see this when I was young , now I’m loosing a ton of hair and my friend is too. Weird.. we prob all have Lyme disease ?

sandy girl: I have shoulder length dark medium dark brown hair I am going thinner and thinner on the top in the size because I have hypothyroidism how can I keep my hair Fuller because now I have two parted on the side

im human: Lot of blow dry is the answer

Cindy Lee: Wow, he is good!

linda handley: Wispy bangs are my security blanket. Plus, they're youthful-looking.

Debra McCraw: Sure wish he could do mine

Theresa Cunningham: Fantastic work! Where can I find this guy???

carolyn bohannon: tthat's amazing.. but not everyone has the opportunity to go to  a famous stylist...what do we do???

Emmz N TN: How do ppl get on these shows is what I wanna know??

Don't worry Be Happy: He kinda has an Asmr Voice

ATL Guera: FYI....hats will stunt & prolong any further hair growth. If you're in chemo or just ❤ hats fashionably: great I get it. However, hats aren't beneficial to hair growth, especially in women.

rakesfunnyfarm: What products from the drugstore does everyone use?

Nancy Torres: good information, but the guy talks to low and the back ground music makes it impossible to hear what he is saying. therefore I am giving him a thumps down. Sorry about that.

Maria Welling: I have lots of hair and I wish it was thinner..go figure..llol!

Cloud Nine: What happened when she went out into the wind...Wooosh...gone
