How I Style My Curtain Bangs & Hair

Hello, everyone welcome back to my channel or welcome. If you are new here, my name is hope and i upload every tuesdays and thursdays. Recently i got curtain bangs and i vlogged it and you guys seemed to like that video a lot. So i thought i would show you a video on how i style my curtain bangs as well as my hair, alright, so i've obviously just showered - and i actually let my hair um dry in the towel. While i was doing my makeup, but it is still very wet um before i blow dry, my hair, i'm going to add some products in so i'll. Show you guys that, right now i used two products for styling, the first being the body mass, a leave-in pumping treatment. This is by kevin murphy. This is essentially a leave-in conditioner in spray form and it smells so good. I literally cannot put enough of it in my hair, so this is first, i'm obsessed, you know when you go, get your hair done at the salon and you come out and your hair smells better than it's ever smelled ever before. That'S what that smells like the next product is actually my favorite product ever and i have really thin hair um. So i struggle getting volume, so i use the kevin murphy full again thickening lotion. So once i have that i'm gon na rub it through and start at the bottom and just throw it through my hair. So after i blow dry my hair, it will literally feel thicker um, so i'm starting at the bottom, and i'm also going to put it at the back top, because this is where i want the most volume. So the next thing you're going to do is blow dry, your hair - and this is pretty essential if you want more volume to your hair, and you want to make sure that you have this attachment, i'm going to go ahead and blow dry, my entire head and I'Ll see one of them once my hair is blow-dried, i'm going to go ahead and brush it through. I never ever brush my hair wet just because it is so damaging to your hair strands. Cuticles whatever and as you can tell my hair is so naturally straight, so we are going to curl it, but first we are going to add a little bit of volume to these bangs. So now that i have my bangs in front i'm going to take a round brush. This is literally essential if you have curtain day so go and pick yourself up one of these, if you haven't already so what i'm gon na do is i'm going to gather the hair in the front and i'm going to place the comb underneath and then just Wrapping the hair over top like this, i'm going to take the hair dryer and i'm just going to focus it on this main area and i'm just going to keep turning the comb. And this is just going to add that kind of like bump effect and give that bottom all right. So once that's there, i'm just going to hold it for a second to conserve the heat and then i'm just going to let it down, and you guys can see instantly that we just have that volume. I'M gon na go ahead and curl my hair and then we're gon na add the finishing touches to the banks and make them really poof and sweep out i'm going to go ahead and section my hair a little bit just so we can get as much volume In as possible, so now we're left with these strands. The hairspray i use is the pantene air spray. This is my absolute favorite because it doesn't leave your hair crunchy, like some hairsprays do, and i always go away from my face when i'm curling my hair. So just hold it for a couple seconds and i always make sure to hold the curl in my hand and just let it cool there um. If you don't, do this you're not going to get a defined curl and there's literally no point unless you want it to come out in an hour, so i just hold that until it curls a little bit and then let it go and we have a nice Defined curl, so i'm going to go ahead and do this for the rest of my section and then go up from there. Now that my hair is all curled, don't worry we're not going to keep it in these terrible over-defined curls we are going to brush it out. First, i'm just going to go and spray with some more hairspray and then just kind of crunch. It up, and i like to kind of mess up the back to give it some more volume, we're gon na move on to the bangs we're gon na start by doing the same first step that we originally did, which is pulling the bangs to the front and Blow drying like this we're going to do this step one more time and then i'll show you what we do after that, so once you're done that step, we're actually gon na go the other way. So i'm gon na grab the bangs again and this time i'm going to put the comb at the base of the bangs and wrap the top around. So this time i'm going to do the same exact thing, focusing it on here, except i'm going to actually brush it through with this, but you guys will see so just pay close attention after i've held it on there for around 20 seconds, i'm just gon na. Actually hold this on my head and if you do have those curlers, then this would be the perfect moment to do so. Um, i just haven't picked any up, so this is what i do, i'm going to roll it out and, as you can see now, we've got the bangs going outwards, which is exactly what you wanted. You can repeat those steps as many times as you want for bangs, you kind of just got to see what works for you. This is what works for me and i absolutely love it like look at that volume and that bounce um, if you want you, can also go in with your curling iron and kind of just um, drag it out the ends. I usually skip this step, but you can totally do that if you want to now i'm going to brush my hair out literally just with my fingers, so we get those harsh curls out.
