Hey I'm Kate. This is another tutorial for the hair fix series. If you want to see any of the other little quick fixes that I've done, you can go to my youtube channel and find a dedicated feed at the bottom of the channel. You can also visit my hair gallery on the small things blog comm and all of these hair fix tutorials are going to be under the styling category. So this is actually a great day to film this tutorial because it's extremely humid out and my hair goes really flat in humidity, and so today, I'm covering what to do when your bangs go flat and how to sort of style them. So they stay up and off you're off of your face. A lot of women have this action with their bangs, which is not only not cute, but it's obnoxious, because it's right in your eye, so I'm going to show you a couple tips and tricks to keep it up off of your face without having it be like Completely back in with the rest of your hair, if you would like to see how I styled my bangs with this kind of soft swoop in the front, I have a tutorial called wait for it, the soft swoop, and you can either click right here. I'Ll put a little link to it right here or you can visit the styling section of my hair gallery and look for the soft swoop, and so that is how I heat styled where we're at right. So the first thing you want to do is: do light. Sort of rough tees - and this is going to help kind of bring all of the hair together and we'll work out almost all of it. It'S what pops everything back up and even though there isn't going to be noticeable teasing in the bang section, it helps give it just the right amount of texture. So, just a really soft light, tease on the whole section in front you're working with go down farther than you would think to right to about your temple. Okay, so you saw how gently I was using the comb and I was using the fine side of the comb, which is what I would recommend using so once you've, given a little bit of tease in there start working it out with your fingers. If your hair tease is really tightly, naturally, you can use the wide toothed end of your comb, help smooth it, so you can't see any visible teasing, but we sort of popped your hair up off of your head, so the next part is using a hair spray. I'M going to be using kenra volume 25. This is my favorite hair spray. Ever I'm I'm fairly confident that I'll never find something to replace it. That'S as good, it is a strong hold hairspray, but if you like a little bit more of a flexible hold instead of, but you don't like by a number of different hair sprays with different hold factors by a strong hold hairspray and just hold it a lot. Further away from your hair, so you're getting a light veil of hairspray, but you're not getting a really straight shot. In fact, you should always sort of hold your hairspray at least elbows distance away. So you don't get like these little shots of hairspray that make it real, really step when you're spraying your bangs go ahead and use your fingers just sort of place them exactly where you want them to be. So I, like my bangs to sit a little bit on top of the rest of my hair and sort of blend in with that first curve, once you have them in a place that you like them, do a light veil of hairspray from really far away. Okay, so this gives you a still very workable hold the next step, and this is my bang trick - is to spray two of your fingers with hair spray directly and then run your fingers right under them. So all of the hair on the bottom that no one can see is sprayed pretty well and it's going to keep that hair popped off of your forehead. And it's also going to keep any of those little baby hairs that may tickle your forehead during the day. Connected with the rest of your bang, so it's sort of a secret way to keep them really a hair spray without them. Looking really air spray, so spray, your fingers until they're like pretty shiny and wet and then just run them right under the section. You should be able to feel pretty instantly okay, they lifted off of my forehead, but they don't look she'll act and then to totally complete it. You can do one more veil of hairspray over top, so you saw how simple that was, and it wasn't even anything. Profound, it was just a few little tips and tricks from the teasing like how far away you hold the hairspray that will really change the game on how your bangs are going to cooperate and how they're going to look by the end of the day. I hope these little tips and tricks are helpful for you. These are just things. I'Ve picked up along the way that really make a big difference in how my hair styles, so I wanted to share them with you. I hope you found this helpful and thanks for watching

Tania Brady: What a great tip!

Jennifer Ann Fox: I so wish you could fix my hair! I have no idea why but last trim she cut way too many deep layers. My hair is fine and I have to wear my sides up without all the hair falling in my face. I'm so tempted to "slither" my side bangs as they are cut block straight and hang down. Not pretty on a 51 year old. The back is deeply layered. I can't even figure out how to make it look right with a curling iron and rollers make it look like a bowl cut from nose up. First time in a very long time this has happened.

Chayse MacKayla: Please do a tutorial on how to cut bangs exactly like yours in this video :) I don't trust people to cut my hair I would rather do it myself ...

doula2010: I like your videos.  My question though is How do you keep hairspray off your hair, floor, counters, etc.?  My sister uses hairspray like crazy.  She used my bathroom while I was away.  I came home to find that everything in my small bathroom had a sticky film of hairspray all over it.  Any tips or brands of strong hold hairspray without fragrance or strong smell to them that work.  Can not step outside to do my hair.  thanks.  You have wonderful tips.
