Look nice you're such a that's. What I hear is dirty, but that should I need to look like. I need to look like Vicky like you, so people won't try to step on me for seriously just put on makeup. I do sometimes all right. Let'S film it intro hi everyone, I'm Brittany, gray, owner stylist at Beach, fives, beauty, studio, and today I have my friends Tasha here with me, say: hi to the camera. My last hair tutorial, video that I did a lot of you were leaving me comments, saying that you want to need to do something on natural hair or curly hair. So that's what I'm doing today. She has very curly, hair kind. Of course kinda. You know we need to put a lot of heat and tension on this hair to get it straight and also she has bangs too, which are a whole different thing to that. You have to learn to blow out and everything so yeah, so we're going to shampoo her hair and do like a deep conditioner, maybe and then we're going to blow-dry it and we're going to flatter it. It straight and I might trim her bangs yeah you want. I think I need to yeah we're gon na look at it. We'Re just gon na do her hair. She comes here like every week, she's here every week to do her hair. So we just kinda whatever every single time and I think in the future. We'Re gon na do hair cover right, no, all right, yeah, so we're going to get started and yeah after I have shampooed and conditioned her hair. All I'm going to apply is this thermal straightening balm by Brazilian Blowout, I'm applying that mid strand to end keeping it off of the root, and I love this stuff because it protects your hair. It helps to straighten it and it is not heavy at all. It'S just enough, but it's not drying either. So it's perfect. Basically, it's what I'm trying to get at, and here I'm sectioning off her hair and first things. First, when you're dealing with curly or natural hair, you want to get those edges girl, because once those dry and they're going to be hard to straighten - and you don't want to put an iron on your edges, you want to try to avoid that at least and Also, on a little side note, as you may have noticed, I did not pre dry, her hair at all when you're dealing with curly hair do not ref dry the hair a little bit to get it a little dry. No, you want it to be wet because again, once curly hair dries, it's going to be frizzy, so the brush that I'm using is about three quarters of an inch in diameter. So it's pretty small to get the little baby hairs around the face. Then I'm just going to go and get a bigger brush. This one is by Ibiza, oh my gosh, I love Ibiza brushes and that's just to get those long pieces straighter and then I am just going to start blow drying the rest of her hair. Also. Take note of the direction of the airflow and where I'm standing during this entire blowout, you always want to point the air away from the face and away from the head and away from the scalp see how I'm pointing it away from her face and away from Her body, because you will burn somebody if you're, not conscious of that. Another thing you are going to notice, is how I'm constantly keeping tension on that piece of hair. Even if I'm adjusting my brush or in this case adjusting my camera, I am constantly pulling that piece, taut not pulling it. So you know I'm hurting her anything, but you know keeping it straight because that one section that you may be adjusting your brush or you know something like that. If the hair is limp and curly, it's going to dry curly. If you keep pulling straight and it dries for that one second, it's going to drive straight so here I am starting to put a little bend in the hair by Chi, like you know, when you curl that stuff that you put on wrapping paper on gifts like The ribbon with a scissor, it's kind of like the same effect like you, wrap it, and then you start to pull the scissor. I don't know if that makes sense, but you know what I mean and I'm also twisting it and then blowing the ends. Lastly, to make them smooth now, I'm going to start blowing her bangs straight. This part is a major key, so take notes, so I'm going to do her bangs in three different sections and of course I want to start with the one closest to her edges because, as you know, getting the edges straight when you have curly hair is most Important, so I'm getting that smaller brush again and I'm pulling the hair taut. You can see the tension at the root, I'm pulling it taut I'll blow it for a second hold it while it cools and I'm constantly keeping tension at the root. If you let that hair go it's going to spring back and it's going to dry curly, never let the hair spring back. So I'm gon na blow it a couple times, keeping focusing on roots and mid strand. Then I'll start rolling the ends and see how that turns out straight grab the next section and do the same thing, pull it flat. So that way you get the root straight, first and foremost, the roots and the edges. Straight. First and foremost, you can always work with the ends, but roots and edges are so important when you're working with curly or natural hair, and that's me just showing you how straight I got that and as always, I'm blowing the air away from her face. If the blow dryer is pretty high, then it's fine if it if the air touches her face a little bit, but when I'm getting close to the roots like that, you always want to blow away from the because you will burn somebody's face. Somebody scalp you're gon na be mad. I'Ve done it before we've all been there. So now I am going to start blow drying the rest of her hair and then I kind of sped up through the rest of this just because it can be pretty repetitive but yeah. I'M just keeping the tension constantly blowing crowing the brush away from the face. So now we are going to work with the nape area of the neck and hair at the nape, also known as the kitchen, so I'm gon na pull a thin section. Oh this, this maybe like half an inch, but you can pull it um, like a thinner section, the more coarse the hair is, and that's just me, re wetting the little pieces that may have dried any time the hair dries. You could re wet it because again if the hair is wet and you blow it, you know you it gives you the ability to shape it. However, you want it to be shaped, but if the hair is already dry, you blow it's going to be harder to get the curl out. So again, I'm pointing the airflow away from her head away from her neck got those little pieces first blow dried those and then now I'm pulling the next section blow-drying that focusing mainly on the root letting that dry for a second. As I'm adjusting my brush blowing blowing and then I am just going to get the ends and start rolling those and eventually I will add the to any little baby hairs. You know I'm kind of meticulous when it comes to blow-drying, curly, hair or hair in general, but you know you have to pay attention to these little details. These little details matter, you guys see, I mean, there's barely a wave there, but you know if you want your clients blow out too last. You need a pay attention to these little details, because if there's that little wave there when they leave the salon, then you know their blowouts not going to last as long as it potentially could so see how smooth that got - and here I just quickly sped up This part, because it's not as meticulousness the intersection of the hair, is going to be a little easier to blow out, but this is the result after I have just blown it out. As you see, there's lots of movement body, its luscious and beautiful. Let'S have all your hair wigs, I mean, I have seen it, but you know I know my hair. I feel like I feel, like I've got my chair for fall. I know, don't you love it? Don'T you love how much hair you have yeah? Okay, I do. I don't tell people what I do next, I am going to start to curl their hair. Actually, I'm just going to put a wig and I'm not going to put like a prom curl in it. If that's, you want to call it so I'm sectioning off the front section of the hair, and then I am going to start working with the back. I'M using my one in the quarter. Inch hot tools, Marcel iron. These Marcel irons, are so amazing. I'M keeping lots of tension on the Pearl, see how I'm grabbing that you could even see her head coming back, which you know it's within reason. I'M not hurting her, so you want to keep lots of tension when you're dealing a coarse hair, see how I'm going to pull that end to smooth it, pull it taut, that's going to keep it nice and smooth. So I haven't done the side sections of her hair, yet I just wanted to Flatiron her bangs, so we are going to do that and I'm going to show you how so again we're working with the front piece closest to her edges. First, I'm getting a section and divide it or maybe not, and I'm going to get my flatter and I'm tapping the top of the section. First, that's gon na um straighten that section without adding a lot of tension to it or getting too close to her scalp and burning. I'M also simultaneously combing it with a carbon comb. Carbon combs do not melt so there I'm putting a bend kind of at the root and then I'm letting it go again showing you that bend at the root and then it's more straight at the end, and that's gon na give you that nice thing. That'S not super curled where it looks like I don't know. You know those kind of things we like to curl by the 90s or something like then, and then, though I know the nineties are back, but not when it comes to to those bings. Okay, so again we're going to go to the next section and pull it focusing at the root, putting the bend at the root and making the inch straighter. And then I'm going to grab my Marcel iron and then I'm going over just the top of her hair. Where the roots are, and that is going to help her bangs lay down so that way they are not those unfortunate bangs. I just stick off your head sectioning off her bangs that I just did and then I'm gon na go over the rest of her hair with that Marcel iron. So as I'm curling, I'm keeping the focus of the band at the mid strand and keeping the end smoother. So that way it looks more like a wave rather than a curl. We don't want it to be too curly and bouncy all right. I'M gon na trim your bangs okay just to make them even are you liking your bangs yeah? As long as I get my hand on, I don't eat go bomb now now you want to take selfies like basic yeah. Yes, basically, I've loved having my hair done. It makes me feel like beautiful, like I'll, never get. My hair, like isn't work right now, wait on it, though all right so now that we've, like finish the talks with hair she's like taking her selfie, she can't even she can't help herself, but I'm just gon na trim her bangs, because if she puts her head Up and looks at the counter, you can see that this sides a little bit longer, but we're just gon na trim a little bit. How have you been working? The bangs anyway, are you over in yet no I so I love them as long as I'm going to the salon, all the time so basically like if you're going to like take this part - and you want me to be honest - I'm good, basically, what I'm gon Na say is that we're not going to come see Britney every week, then don't often get things if you're not going to go to the salon every week you really shouldn't get bangs, you are, you should get bangs well, it depends on your hair texture. If you have straight hair, then you can get bangs and you're cool, but if you don't want, if you have curly hair like me, I do not recommend you get bangs unless you're going to come to the salon every 1 to 2 weeks because they grow out Or because they're just like when your hair is not done, they're annoying well, not only that, but my hair tends to get oily and the bangs don't look as fresh. If you, you know wait longer than you should to go to the salon. Does that make size uh-huh I mean, and then I did blow dry, my bangs on my own and it worked. But like I don't like doing my own hair, ok for you is because you don't like doing your hair like that's what it boils down to yeah. Pretty much so, basically, anybody can hard bangs, but I feel like that. You should just go to the salon every two weeks and it should be. I know that should be like a thing. Everybody should get their hair good. It should be a bill honestly, unless you're in college, like you're in college or really make it in life, then do your own hair. That'S what I did. This is how I explain what complain about like. Oh my gosh, like that's so expensive, which I won't feel like. I'M like expensive, your not expensive, but here's the thing like you wear your hair every single day and it's like. If you only get one haircut every 3-4 months, it's actually not that money that much money. When you think about it, you know I mean if you get your haircut, if you get your hair colored every three months or whatever, and it's like you, wear your hair. Every single day, if you're wearing sweats and like I love flip-flops and your hair's done like your own bomb and it's an investment very AR like you, don't you want to look professor in which yeah exactly and I mean I like my hair curly, I'm not against Money, I love my hair and I love myself, but I'm seriously. But if, if I want to work professionally, I should be for professional style, whether it's curly or straight - and I mean I don't know - I'm not a hair stylist. So I need to go see a professional yeah. I don't try to do your hair at home. Do not dye your own hair. If you have the money and should be a bill. Yes, if you don't try to go as natural as possible, yeah, that's basically just get your hair cut. Yeah I mean, but like then there's some girls. They spend so much money getting their hair like relaxing and I'm like you can make their investment and just wonderful yeah. I agree. Some girls are scared to go natural, though they usually do it in college freshman year. You know seriously because that's the best time to do it, that's when they're feeling all ambitious and they're like whatever I'm going natural yeah and if they have a boyfriend the boyfriend would like stick with them. They really love them. Yeah I love natural hair. Natural hair is bomb, but some girls don't like to let you know how some girls go natural, they cut all their relaxed, hair off, yeah and and then it's like really short, like a short fro yeah, like Brandon, saw my college ID and I wasn't going natural. I just had really short hair because, like I had caught it and I was transitioning and then he was like, I still love you. I was like I hate you. It took me a long time to get to where I'm at I started from the bottom yeah you're here, yeah, so okay, so we just finished the Tasha's hair and she just feel so bomb right. You know what let me not put words in your mouth. How do you feel, oh, my god? Brittney has created a miracle, but once again I look amazing yeah. You do look pretty bomb um thanks to me, I'm just kidding um yeah. So that is how we straighten. Actually, we didn't even like use a flat iron. This is all from a blowout and a curling iron, except for her bangs. I had to flat iron your bangs, but fix a camera yeah. Look at those things like d-theta bounce. Do you see that bounce? Yes? So if you guys have any requests for videos and definitely leave it in a comment down below, and I will try to find a model um and yeah we're gon na keep this. I worked in it. We'Re gon na keep these hair tutorials going. Oh my gosh yeah, I like balm for that. I hate you, I'm still gon na post. It please do if you guys have any requests and when you were down below, if you have any or whatever I read all of my comments, all the information for the tools and products that I used will be in the information thing down below. Neoysha Santiaga: the way you do curly hair made me so happy lol. I've been to salons and they had no idea how to do natural curly hair. this is the best I've ever seen. Your tips are AMAZING! I'm very picky too.

HereDianna: Hi, can you show us how you straighten 4c/kinky hair and avoid heat damage? Thanks!

Annabell Asare: I can tell you are a very skilled hair stylist! Your technique and skill set looks amazing! I wish I lived in C A so you could do my hair

Sydney: the tip about doing the edges first is genius! I always end up with shorter pieces around my hairline cause of the tension/heat that I have to put on it. Thanks girl!

Priscilla: Omg I love love this video! I’m mixed with natural hair and a natural hair journey. I’m also becoming a beauty student! This was a great video and your client at the end was speaking so many facts! Your amazing!!

The Tristan Talley 3 Show!: Wow I am so impressed with your skills. New subbie here and I have been binge watching you all night. I have coarse hair that's wavy as hell and somewhat curly. It's VERY thick and difficult to manage at times. I have never seen any hair tutorials that really targeted hair like this until I found you. I am Sicilian/Greek and Irish. My hair isn't that typical European easy-as-hell hair that you can just wash and go and look great. It takes a lot of work and blowing it out is a freaking chore that I WISH I had down pat by now, but watching this has given me hope. I have a serious question though, I have always wanted to ask this to a hair expert who knew because everyone I have asked didn't seem to know. If I were to blow my hair out like once a week or two times a week (I have really healthy hair that I wash every 2 days) and use heat protection, does it really keep it from damage? I am so fussy with my hair and always have been. I use salon products only and am cheap with my clothes etc lol. I do color my own hair now after 20+ yrs of getting it done because my son is disabled and I literally cannot go out to get it done any longer like I want. I stick to my natural color now or slightly darker to keep it easy and healthy. I have so much grey coming in so I keep coloring it and use salon color only. I have learned SO much from you. Thank you for being so cool and posting this info here for those of us who cannot go out and who rely on information passed to us.

EimyyC: girlllll i don't personally know you and live nowhere near you or your salon but i wish you very very best, you're amazing<3

Riggins Riggins: I would love a tutorial on the marcel iron, I purchased mine in THE 90's. LOL It's still in the box with a little stove. Thinking about relaxing my hair. It's waist length. I love it but detangling takes forever ever and shedding is a hassle. It has been a while since I had one. What's your take on the current ones on the market.

zheahra: Her hair looks great! Gone ahead, Brittany! You've got mad skills.

Shelly Alicia: LOVE this video and your technique. Ive learned so much!

Layzza Martinez: Please show us how to style short hair like shoulder length. Thank you. By the way I'm so proud of you I've been watching your videos for so long.

VANEEGRAY: Love her! Girl your makeup is BOMB❤️

Niki Reynolds: I remember growing out my bangs and there was a point where it was so awkward because there was NOTHING you could do with them. But I'm glad I did now.

JJrmlwcz: Why do I watch this when I have the straightest most lifeless flat hair ever? :D

JayBay: if I ever find myself across the country, I will be seeing you it's so hard to find a stylist that cares as much as you. I've been burned so many times.. figuratively and literally

Jessica Kimoni: can you do an update on your hair? it looks like it grew a lot

Crazycatladylovescats: I'd like to see how you'd do a lazy waved hair with thick brunette hair! My hair is so thick and natural it's a wavy mess, I have to style it with straight irons to achieve loose waves! x

ladynefertitibk: Gorgeous results.

2eyeluvmac2: I've learned so much from your videos. Thank you.

Karen Cuccaro: A stylist burned & over stretched my hair and ruined it, especially the whole front section, by doing this. It took over 2 years to grow out and while this may be ok for someone with normal to thick hair, I would definitely not recommend this for fine or thin hair. And definitely not on high heat.

Danielle Phillips: If you do Type 4 hair, I'm definitely coming to you next time I'm in LA!

Aliyah Newcombe: I love her client. She's got an amazing personality

Nancy: My questions are..... how long takes to do that blow out? Or it will depends of the experience we can have?

WallFlower228: Once again Brittney I wish I lived in Cali. so you could do my hair :( But what do you recommend to keep a blow out to last when working out or during the summer?

Eiko M: I'm so glad you're back. I love your videos.

Farah Ak: you should do her makeup! like a makeover type of video

Anna Suarez: So happy to see you coming back and making video!! You are the first youtuber I ever watched back when you had your other channel :)

Autumn Wells-Stewart: have you ever had a client with more course hair like a 4a 4b do you feel comfortable cutting and styling it ?

queenxpeaches: love these vids u came so far if im ever in the area i hope u can squeeze me in. ur clients always look BOMB & look like they are having fun xox

CC Alexander: Beautiful !!

cutecheerfreak1: Her hair is so beautiful when it was just blow dried it looked like a super expensive wig or something like so pretty and thick how is it real?

Bruhyoufr: the bangs are super cute on her!

D. M: I would like to see models with different hair textures and what hair colours look good on black hair.

Learning. Growing. 🌱: The going natural freshman year statement was the absolute truth.

What Rissa Knows: Wow super amazing results

Sassy Lips And Lashes: I have a relaxer. How do you go natural without chopping your hair? My hair is really long. Love your videos!

Brandy e: What if I flew all the way over to California just to have my hair done by you...

Erica'sLab: her hair came out amazing.. if im in LA I will book an Appt. to get my hair done with you :)

Tai: I swear she looks like Cardi B's long lost sister lol

Tiffany: Brittney your hair has gotten alot longer and thicker, is there a secret?

Racie89: I wish I was in Cali so you could do my hair

Tiffany: does Brittney have a website for prices?

annaisohsogroovy: Can you do a video on how to curl hair that doesn't hold a curl? I would love to do something like a pin up hairdo with waves and an s-curl, but there seems to be no way.

A Sight To See: I went natural in freshman year of college lol but because i was tired of straightening it

buttahp: Her bangs are so thick. Would you recommend she grow them out and rock a curly look?

Tokshop1: She's so beautiful, and look like a teen even though she said she was out of college.

danielle neal: I love this

GrownWoman0804: Lawd reminds me of the day's going to the Dominican salon and having my whole head feel like it's on fire.

Amelia J: Britney if you need branding / graphic design for your salon done hit me up

Raina Street: Major skills!!

Lois Lane: Ahhhhmazing!

seygra20: What are your thoughts on the straightening brushes?

Bryan: It looks better before it's curled.

Alexis A: She is beautifull with curly

M*chelle M*chelle: I love that so much can you do my hair Brittney ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❣❣❣❣❣❣❣❣❣❣

Barbara Gonzalez: I have baby fine curly (tight curls), dry, colored (red), shoulder length soft hair. Can you give me some tips on hair care? Perhaps you can do a model with my hair type. Most hair stylists don't know how to do my hair, it is very annoying. I cut my hair dry. I trim my own hair. Hairstylists tend to cut too much off, or mess up my bangs.

Taquisha Moore: So cute

Shelly Nicole: color correction on natural hair

akiyoshidai1231: She looks Brazilian!

Witty & Pretty: I loove the both of yall haha

BOMBEO TV: I know how to make bangs!

Danielle Phillips: And she is beautiful!

Noemi Lopez: I want you to do my hair, but I am too far away :'(

RunFromHumanContacts: She is so cute omfg

vintagemoon: I like her hair investment theory,

Thestralsxxx: She looks like a young Whitney Houston

Other Brides: I am going to schedule an appointment soon. ♡

Kaltrina Ibraimi: brittney where is your hair salon?

Teria Walters: She sounds just like Nicki Minaj. LOL

Blueapril05: She's very pretty. She looks like cardi b!

Karla Marie: Umm cardi much. Before her changed... she just need her nails done.. lol

Constance Connie: lol she said you look bitchy. I have a resting bitch face too.

Honey Miller: your friend sounds a bit like nicky minaj

quiet bae: Flick of the wrist lol

Bre N: lord, you so rough with the blowdryer. a comb attachment would put less friction on the poor girl's hair.

AmiliaBeautyX.: she sounds like niki manaj

Gabriella 21: She sounds like nicki Minaj ahaha
