Hey everyone. Thank you so much for being here today. My name is denise, i'm also known as heywig sister on instagram and facebook. Today, i'm here to bring you a wig review, i'm here to show you tony of beverly starley in the color hot cocoa. I am super super excited about this one, so this wig was donated to me by a wig sister and i am going to be doing a giveaway with this one, not in this video, but i will be giving her away. So please stay tuned for that. Video and if you are not familiar with me, maybe you're new to my channel, i do a giveaway every single month, maybe maybe sometimes more than one, and so please subscribe because then you will not miss those giveaways. You need to click. The bell. Subscribe. Click the bell then you'll get notifications and um. I am working on a plan to do more giveaways from my website, which is heywigsister.com uh, we're a couple of months away from that being reality, so stay tuned for that as well. All right, let's talk about starly. First of all, let me show you starlee from all sides. She is so cute. You guys i am going to have a hard time, giving her up really cute, like so darling, um, i'm a half joking, because i am going to give her up because she is a giveaway wig. But i put her on my head and i thought oh man, i want her because she is that cute. Let'S talk a little bit about tony of beverly before we get too much into this wig. I will also show you this color hot cocoa outside so that'll. Be towards the end, and so tony of beverly is kind of a unique company. You know they are not represented very much anymore uh in many of the online weight retailers about a year and a half ago, two years ago you were able to find tony of beverly online at quite a few of the retailers, but over the past couple of Years that has dwindled quite a bit. I think one of the challenges is that tony of beverly is one of those brands and there are a few of them out there. Henry margu is one that does not really allow too many sales on their wigs, so it is really difficult to find a tony of beverly wig. That is part of any sort of a coupon code. Um, it's just their preference. They i you know they may feel that they they price their wigs fairly and at the price that they think they should be, and so therefore they don't want a lot of coupons available. I don't you know, i can't really know. What'S going on, what i will tell you, though, is: i know that brick and mortar stores carry tony of beverly, so in person, retailers - and there are quite a few of those out there that have an online presence and therefore you can purchase through them either. By calling them, i think about like mimi's wig boutique mimi's is in texas, they have a youtube channel, that's actually very, very popular, and i know that they carry this one and they did a review. A quick unboxing of this one just recently, and so you are able to get one of these, even if you don't have access to a store that can carry them by i'll put a couple in uh of resources in the link that i know of that, you Can purchase from that? Don'T necessarily have a retail site online, but they are able to be called and, and you can order on the phone um totally adorable wig. This wig has a lace front and it is machine made all throughout the rest of it, which means that the price point is going to be a little bit lower than if this had a monofilament on the top. For some of you, though, that's a deal breaker. You really need that mono part or mono top. I personally, i can live without any monofilament as long as i have a lace front, i'll, wear a basic cap as well, but there's that lace front two comments on this lace front. First of all, for being a dark darker brunette, the knotting is excellent and very small, not very noticeable at all. They do a really good job of just densely knotting, a realistic, looking hairline in there. Look at that. My second comment is: this: lace is just a little bit light. So when i do this, then you can see where it lands on my forehead and you can kind of see it uh part of that is. I have a bit of a tan and probably a lot of makeup on because i'm filming videos, but you can you - can deal with that two ways: number one. You can trim the lace front which i have done a lot of and i have a tip tuesday. Video on how to trim the lace on a wig, please check that out. You can go to my tip tuesday playlist on my channel. I think you might even be able to search denise sheets trim, a wig or something i don't know, but you, but i show you and i do that a lot when i have trouble with lace on the front. I will trim it. It is definitely a viable option. Easy to do will not ruin your wig. I do that a lot with estetica wigs, because i feel like i can see those on the anaesthetica. If i were to keep this wig, i would which i'm not, because i'm giving it away. If i were to keep it, i would trim that lace. Second option would be to put makeup on it, use some sort of foundation or powder. That'S closer to your skin tone and just dab a little bit on that lace, and that should help as well. So you can definitely manage that this wig does have permatease. This whole top is full of permatease. This gives it a lot of great body and lift if you get overwhelmed by hair, if you don't like permatease, if you don't like poofy wigs this one's, not for you, because it's pretty poofy up here, the rest of it has some soft light permatease. But it's not heavy poofy. This is poofy and i noticed that right away when i put it on it, looks nice and full. I know a lot of you are going to love that you want that poof. You want that fullness. What does the permatease do? For you, besides give you fullness, it gives you hold. So when you buy a wig that does not have any permatease or very very little of it. What you'll notice throughout the day is that whatever style you started off with, if it looked, you know like, maybe you took some time to style it. It'S got some body throughout the day that body is going to sink with the heat of your head, just by wearing with gravity, and you may notice throughout the day that it starts to look limp and lifeless, and you might think to yourself what's going on here. I thought synthetic wigs were supposed to hold their style well, they can only hold their style to the extent that there is something to help hold it and permatease will allow for the style to be held. I personally think curly and wavy wigs need some permatease. I have had some in the past that didn't have much and they just don't look good after 13 hours and if you work away from the home or are out at some long event, you are going to have that way on for a while. So keep that in mind you might need a few wigs with permatease for certain occasions. I just love. I have a mirror over here. I just love the volume you can get from this one. I think it's awesome and i love these layers. It is just full of layers that give it body and it give it style, but do not make it shaky. I would consider this a very light shade, if anything, because of the way that they textured and contoured the layers, it's very polished and it doesn't look overly messy. I sometimes struggle with extreme shags. I just don't really like them on me. I think that they look a little bit too messy and undone, and i am a bigger girl and so sometimes too much messy layer isn't great on me. I really love how they did this one. So there's that lace front, i was telling you about it's. Just a simple lace front: it's not overly deep, either sometimes on a wig that just has a lace front. That lace will be a little bit deeper than typical ocean by estetica is one that i think of that has a very deep lace front ignite by jon. Renau also only has a lace front, but it's fairly deep when a lace front is deep, like that, you get the illusion of part where that depth of lace is, which can really be great and actually makes it so that you don't necessarily need the monofilament. This one doesn't have that, so you really aren't going to get any real parting space on this one, but i do think the lift that you get from the permatease helps to hide that and just looks good you've got your soft ear. Tabs you've got with the metal stays. You'Ve got your extended nape and velcro adjusters. Very nice cap tony of beverly, makes really nice nice caps. I have isla by tony of beverly, i love isla and that cap is super comfortable, i would say, and there um there's good stretch. I would say that tony of beverly is very true to average. You can look at my measurements in the description um. I don't get a ton of extra cap up here, so i would say if you're a little bit bigger than me and my measurements, you're going to be fine, um average large is going to be pushing it potentially, but you might be able to make that work. Um, i definitely say on the circumference there's good stretch, so that is a bonus. I think that this style looks very similar to peyton by henry margu. Typically, i would do a comparison for you, but we're moving in four weeks and i have packed away all of my wigs except for the ones that i'm wearing right now in rotation, and so peyton is not in that rotation right now and she's packed away. So i can't do a comparison, but i do have a review of peyton, so i would say if you are familiar with peyton or maybe want to go, look at my peyton review, because you can get that a little bit more easily online. Then you will be able to do that comparison. I do think it's a real, similar cut and style to peyton. This one does have a bang actually the way that the permatease is laid in. Here, though, the bang has some lift and it sweeps beautifully. There is no hair hanging in my face at any point with this one. It definitely stays off the face, but if you want a full bang, you have got it. You can definitely get a full bang out of this one. You can trim it up if it's just a little bit too long for you, it's sort of borderline for me, but really really cute, so really easy to have a bang with this one. You can also tuck this one really easily it's just the cap fits me. So well that it's very very tuckable and i get really decent coverage um, so the ear tabs lay a little bit high on me. So right now the ear tab is here. Look at how that ear tab. I prefer for the best coverage for an ear tab to be about right there on me, so i like it to be closer to my ear and a little bit lower than my earlobe and in front of my ear. That gives my lowest hairline here, which is hard to see because i have a buzz so short um. The best coverage. That'S my preference. This one is is okay, but it isn't super. So what would happen um is you might be able to see my bio hair if i really wanted to style. Um do some side styles, but it feels good. It feels comfortable. This is going to be great with glasses, so really good with that. All right you guys i'm going to get outside, so you can see this color hot cocoa outside it is a basically they say it's a highlighted, medium brown. It is not visibly highlighted, it is just it gives it a sort of brightness kind of a bright brown. Um not highlighted it's very well, blended any highlights that are in there and there are no color codes available for this, and i would consider this a neutral brunette. It isn't ashy, but it's not really warm either it's right in the middle. I would say this is more of a neutral brown, so let's get outside so that you can see this color outside and then, like. I said, stay tuned for this to be one of our giveaways in the very near future. And if you like, what i do here, please like and subscribe, this channel comment on my videos that really helps them out a lot. Thank you so much for your time and let's go all right everyone. This is hot cocoa by tony of beverly out in natural sunlight, so with the sun on it. Can you see what i mean by it's got this brightness to it because of the blended highlights. It'S not visibly highlighted in the way that you see streaks, but it's just blended, really well i'll get into the shade. A little bit over here comes the sun to really get a sense of that in bright sunlight. It'S definitely a neutral color i'll pull it off. My head and look at it in the sunlight in a second, let you know if i think it leans more neutral to our ashy or warm okay, let's get in the shade. So this is the color in the shade. Let'S get over here behind the white or with the white background. I hope i'll have a good place to do these outside looks at the new house. I think the garage is white there. I can't remember beautiful color if you are a brunette looking for just a really pretty brown that isn't overly highlighted, not too light, not too dark, just really uh simple, but beautiful. This is a good one, hot cocoa. So let's look at this. I want to be able to tell you my impressions so as i'm looking at it here, it's kind of a golden highlight: it's like the brown is more neutral, the brunette is more neutral, but the highlight itself is kind of a golden. I would say it gives it a neutral to warm look out in the sunlight, but inside it leans more neutral. So it's not ashy, but it's not super warm and it's not pulling any red. So if you're worried about the red, which i get a lot from brunettes, it's really not pulling red all right, you guys. I hope that helped you thank you for watching and have a great day you

Nina Rogoff: Thank you for doing reviews of brunette wigs!! Everyone else does almost exclusively some shade of blonde/platinum. That makes it really difficult for those of us who are brunette and want to stay that way! I like the way you explain the colors in terms of whether they are warm, cool, ashy, etc. and for explaining the color codes. Thanks for adding the outdoor view, too! You do a really great wig review in a short amount of time! Glad I found you!

RubyRazzie: Love this on you, Denise. You've inspired me to dig out my Starlys, which somehow have ended up back in the closet. I've gotten two from Mimi's, and they really are adorable.

L S: That Starly is a cute one. She looks pretty realistic. Nice movement. I have 2 Tony of Beverly pieces and they are great. Think I might just have to add Starly. Been thinking about it ever since you showed her in giveaway video. Thanks for all you do for this community. You are a blessing.

Nancy Farias: This was the most informative explanation of permatease I have watched. I learned so much about it. Because I always have had thin, baby fine hair all my life I didn’t think I liked wigs with lots of volume. But now I learned it depends on the wig style. I love this Starly and just might order one to see if I like it on me. Thank you for this video. SO informative.

Emily Rosenzweig: Omg I love everything about this! Color and cut -- so fab on you!

J. Young: . This is an excellent review and thank you so much Denise. You look beautiful in this wig!

Shelly F: So cute on you! You will definitely have to get one of these for yourself. This color is very pretty on you, too. Hope your move went well and that you are settling into your new home. Sending blessings and virtual hugs, Shelly

Rae G: Thank you so much!! I'm having a terrible time finding a hairpiece that matches my natural hair color. I have a weird head that ranges from a dark brown to dark blonde with gold and some red highlights AND is streaked with silver. This color might work for me and not look fake on my head. Thank you for spending so much time on the color and highlights!

MoodyGirl Beauty: This is so lovely!!! Great style and color!

Michelle Richards: That is such a flattering wig and color on you Denise! You might need to add one to your wardrobe!

Liz Millner: Love this piece…..mimi’s Misty, well, its one of her fav’s! It is difficult to find but thanks to you…it is easier now. I actually LOVE permetease so again, thank you for this video.

dawn morrison: I absolutely love her. Great color and length

Gingeroo: Hello Denise and Everybody I quietly enjoy your reviews from time to time when life allows me to watch!! So, please forgive me if you’ve already discussed my question in the past. Seems like I keep having trouble locating reputable online websites that offer the Tony of Beverly line— as well as a good return/ refund policy. I noticed quite a few commenters here acknowledged that issue and mentioned MiMI’s as the place they purchased theirs. I was hoping you might know of other sites as well? I like WigStudio1 for their no-restocking fee return policy and professionalism, however, they don’t carry the line as far as I can tell. *Facebook groups and the like for personal sales is NOT what I’m looking for at the moment though, respectively. THANK YOU for giving us your all….. you’re truly terrific at this❣️ Julie in Texas P.S. Is Mimi’s the storefront in Texas? “Mimi’s Wig Boutique”?

Kristen Shaffer: Hi Denise! Starly is beautiful!! And she is the perfect length! This color is also very pretty!

The Indecisive Wig Wearer: So pretty on you Denise!

Chimom: Boy does that look perfectly natural & cool on you!

CJ Palmer: Love it!

BeckyS: What a cutie and color is very pretty for a brown. I love that you can have bangs or not. Versatile for sure!

DHG Heart Written: Very darling on you Denise! ❤️

dawn morrison: Omg even better outside. Looks great on you.

junbug1029: Beautiful! xoxo Joan

Bonnie Morris: This is absolutely adorable on you. You are the best. Question about the permatease, can you see it, if someone was over you, like a server at a restaurant. I can't see it in the video but this always makes me nervous. Thankyou so much

Donna Q: Looks real cute Denise. I have a Tony of Beverly Arya that is indestructible. I cut bangs and the ends that touched together under my chin which is the biggest annoyance of mine in a wig, ugh. I have worn it rafting in a lake and swimming countless times which in my opinion should kill a wig right there. No permatease to speak of either and obviously has beautiful fibers that last and last with NO steaming or anything to get some more wears. Sadly I really can not find it in my color anymore with the usual good price because of their no coupon policy.

Michelle Diekman: You look Very pretty! Love your picture of you and Hubby with Cowboy Hats!❤

Marla Robinson: really cute color and style on you

Front Porch Wig Chat: This seems like an updated Isla. Same cap, really. I like the choppy layers on back.

Patricia Blankenbaker: Starly is very becoming on you!

Susan Something: Is there a color you would recommend by Tony of Beverly that is more a brunette? I'm a box dye #4 and I can't seem to find that color. For example the hot coco you just showed would be too light for me. Thank you

RubyRazzie: Thanks!

Candy G: I'm sorry, I've gone looking to see if I can enter to win this starly wig, your website and Facebook and here, I can't find anywhere to enter...I thought I had already...

sue mease: Can bangs be cut in Starly

sue mease: Do you think this wig could have bangs cut in it
