Combing Out Dreadlocks (Bangs)

Hey sunshine: welcome back to my channel, my name is liza jane, and some of you may also know me as liz. I can't get it out of my head. I know i just did them a few months ago, but you know me i like change. I, like change, so here's what i'm thinking this one and this one i'm gon na brush them out. I just i don't know because i added all those loose hairs and i have you know i kind of want to add more i'm just thinking. I need some loose hairs around my face, yeah, that's what i'm thinking. Let'S just see what happens? I don't know if it's enough, i think it'll be nice. I don't know you know my kids always like when i have the hair out the girls um. So i can kind of feel where my extension starts, because they're so new i'm just going to this is what i do to try to break it free because it only has been. You know, i don't know. I guess i could have looked it up a few months since i added these. If i needed to, i could cut on the extension just to make sure that i'm not cutting any actual uh hair of my own. I could cut just below and start brushing which i might need to do, but it's pretty much breaking free. I just kind of wibble wobble it and just play with it. Some that's all i'm doing i'm just trying to create. I haven't. I knew i had to do maintenance on that part, but i was like i'm not gon na do maintenance if i'm feeling, like i'm already gon na pull them out. I know they're gon na need a little trim. Probably anyway, i told aurora she's gon na have to trim my bangs for me or maybe i'll go somewhere and get them trimmed. I don't know, let's just see what they look like. I don't know if they're going to be half blonde half brown, i don't know what we're dealing with or how long they'll be um. Look it's hanging on by a thread. We almost got it. We almost got it. Oh, i should have put my coffee next to me. This kind of you know just like a last minute thing. I decided to do and of course i had to film it for you, because what fun would that be? If i did it without you guys, i wish you were here with me right now: okay, it's free! It'S free! It'S free! It'S free! Okay! I don't feel like this one's gon na be as easy. Now it's pretty solid in there i mean i can tell it probably see if i go like this and really play with that lock, yeah well yeah. We can just play with it a little bit. Hmm or maybe i should have just concentrated on the one. Well, we're here now i have to get my coffee. We need coffee for this hold on and take out my jacket, my robe. Let'S just start brushing this you're gon na see a lot of hair flying out. Remember what happens when you have locks is all the hair that you normally would lose on a daily basis, because everybody loses a lot of hair every day our stays in there um, because it's locked up. So some people get frightened that they're losing a ton of hair - probably not it's probably just that loose hair flying out, so all i'm doing is just going up a little bit at a time. Sometimes that was a little bit of extension, i'm sure so i'm just gon na do this. It won't take too long, but for all those naysayers, yes, dreadlocks, can be brushed out it just takes time. I usually just uh. Do it like this? I don't put anything in it. I just do it dry, see i've just had so many flyaways around the front of my hair and because i haven't felt like doing a lot of maintenance lately i just uh. I just think this will be easier to kind of control. The crazy it'll just be all crazy. We like crazy around here yeah, i asked aurora. I was like what do you think? Should i brush them out, and she said yes mom. You know i like when you have your bangs, so she was the okay i needed. I asked a lot of people, everybody said, no, don't do it. I listen to my girl she's, my um beauty advisor. I guess yeah. I really didn't know if i had any blonde of my own in there or if it was just extension, so there definitely is a little blonde. Oh, i lose a lot of the um. What do you call those? I lose a lot of those. What can i think of the word, there's a lot of the parts of the comb. I lose a lot of it. This comb will be destroyed by the time i'm done with it. You can actually i mean i used to have like a little um flea flea comb for my dog um like for a dog. It wasn't my dogs, it was for a dog and those are a lot thinner and metal. So sometimes those are easier to use. But it's okay! I have these combs everywhere, see we're getting there. It'S not taking that long. I kind of like you guys to see things real time, so you know, of course. Maybe we could time lapse it. We'Ll time lapse. One time lapse. Let'S time lapse, she's. So, okay, so that was about, i don't know five seven minutes it took to brush that one out. I'M still going a little bit, i'm going to show you the hair that came out of that one normal, it's okay, no residue in it. We good makes me want to do my roots, though, because it's so dark. What do we think? Why am i so close to the camera? Okay, okay, i'm just gon na attack this one; okay, let's attack it, i'm not that gentle. I had a mom that comb. My hair really hard when i was little, and so i can yank and pull on my hair and i really don't care so you don't have to do it so rough. You could just cut and then you could come out. Let'S just see what we think. It'S a lot of darkness, isn't it oh, my i actually kind of like it i mean i don't know we'll see. Ah it's hard to believe that my hair is so dark because i grew up. You know such like a dirty blonde. I mean i was pretty pretty born when i was little and then always a dirty blonde, and then i mean i've had my hair, a lot of colors but mostly always blonde. I always go back to milan, so when i see my hair so dark, it's always a little bit shocking that that's the color of my hair now, but you know i wish i'd get more gray. Do we see any grays? Do we see any? I think there's a couple in there i mean they could hurry up. Oh i wouldn't mind i wouldn't mind at all: we're not going to get the full effect till i actually like wash my bangs. That'S the one part about having them and not having them like people always ask - and i have videos on that, but you know the biggest thing is for me not having bangs is easier because, as far as you don't have to wash them separate um, you don't Have to worry about styling them, haha we're free um. So to me it's just easier, lower maintenance to not. This is a lot of extension. Still in here, i feel like so you're gon na see a lot of that come out um. I think it's much easier to not have bangs oh yeah. This is all i can tell this all extension and here is part of my hair coming out of it yippers that one's locked in pretty good, but there's a lot of my hair. So i'm just gon na kind of poke it with this and see if we can free it off my hair brush brush losing them all right. I'M not gon na make. You guys watch all of this. Not this way anyway. I don't know it'll be better once i get it wet yeah it'll be better. Maybe i should cut my bangs. I don't know why am i thinking so far in advance? I'M always thinking of the next thing. You guys. I love change. I do love change. That'S the thing some of us crave changed is: is the girls just got home, and so i was brushing as they were talking to me about their day. I was brushing them out, so i think i got them i'll brush out. I am going to well. First, let me show you all the hair from just two, so that's hair that would have falled out. Okay, i'm gon na go, get them wet, and then i will show you after i dry them, so i got them wet. I didn't wash because i have to wash tomorrow or the next day anyway, so that is them. You could do them on the side. Do them on the side? There'S not that much of them, because, honestly, i didn't want to take out any of the loose hair that i have attached. Those other locks, so um yeah. That'S what we're sticking with. What do you think i mean aurora's happy. She just came in she's like oh, i'm, so glad you got your bangs back. I just took a shower wash my hair and i wanted to show you what it's looking like today anyway, i think i like it. Let me switch up my stand. I wanted to show you what it looked like today after i showered and washed my hair. My feathers are still in. I think one or two have gone out and i put in one more, but i can't so we have this little action. What do we think? What do we think do we like it? I think we do for now it's a it's, a good change. Um, my daughter would say: mom hurt in the middle. You know, because that's what's cool right now, but i don't think it wants to do that really um. So we're gon na, let it be!
