Hey guys, it's me i'm making bad decisions. What are you doing? Hey guys, it's valerie welcome back to my channel and if you're new here hey, i forgot to throw my microphone. Okay, anyway, i've been bored, and i'm also bored of my hair and for some reason this purple you guys will just not come out. I use the same purple that i used a year or two ago and i dyed it on october 31st. The last time i dyed it and it was lavender by thanksgiving, so why three months later, is it still this dark so yeah? I want to lighten my hair like more blonde whenever that finally fades, if it ever does so since i can't color it my my thoughts went to. Why not cut it because hi i'm valerie, i can't stop changing my hair. I don't know why, but i think about changing my hair all the time if i actually changed it as much as i thought about changing it. I would probably be bold, so yeah comment down below. Do you do that too? Do you have like a problem with wanting to change your hair all the time? Let me know so. Basically i decided that i am going to cut my own hair for the first time ever. Yeah i've never cut my hair before i've only done like you know. When you're like in middle school and you're, like oh, my god, look, i cut my own hair, like that, like i've never actually cut my own hair, but i don't want like bangs like things that go like to here. I just want like longer bangs. That start, maybe like at my chin and then like get longer and like blend in you know like kind of like layers. I guess so i've been watching tutorials on how to do it and they're pretty much all the same like they all tell you to part. Your hair in the middle and they'll tell you to section it like the same way, but the thing with my hair is: it doesn't like to stay perfectly in the middle, like i have a middle part, but there's always like honest low-key, like a lot of hairs, That aren't on the right side, because they just don't want to stay. Is that dandruff? Oh wait! It'S not dandruff! My scalp is peeling. Oh my gosh, literally anytime, i'm in the sun for longer than like 10 minutes. My scalp gets sunburned. So that's anyway. I kind of already forgot what i was supposed to do, so i'm just gon na watch the video again okay, so she says to oh, my god, i'm so scared. She says to par your hair like right, where your ear behind your ear. Does you see behind your ears, so we part it? Okay, if you could stop doing that because you're on the right side, listen to me. I promise you i'm talking to myself. Okay, so we part our hairs. Oh my god, there's a mirror right here. I don't know why i'm looking in the viewfinder behind our ear seems like a lot. Is that just me? Okay, i mean we're cutting that much yeah. Okay, it's okay! I'M gon na do the same thing. On the other side, oh no, i'm cutting like the blondest parts of my hair how's that okay, i'm so scared all right ignore this. This is just going to keep happening because this is like one of those pieces that just does not want to stay on the right side. So i'm going to go ahead and put this up so we're going to make a triangle from wear down. Okay, so i'm trying to make this triangle even on this side, i'm supposed to make like a triangle with is that a triangle. Is this even it's kind of hard to tell, because my hair is in the way, but i think it's pretty even i'm gon na go grab some clips to pin this hair back all right, so i need to wet it. I took a shower before filming this so that my hair would be wet, but then i was on tik tok for like two hours, so my hair is dry for the most part, so i'm gon na wet it. Oh, my gosh, you guys it's about time to grab the scissors, i'm so scared, okay! So now that it's wet and brushed out and straight it's time to cut and i'm just gon na watch her cut one more time. So she said to make sure that it's straight and then cut at least an inch below your chin. So like right here, oh my gosh, that's a lot of hair to cut off you guys, i'm so scared. Do i really want to do this? Do i really want to do this? Oh my god! Oh my god. We can't even see because there's hair in my face, you guys, i think i'm gon na cut a little bit lower. I already started. I didn't even let myself think before. I did that, i just did it i just started. I just did it. I can't go back now: i'm screwed, oh my god, and i'm doing so badly. Oh i'm doing so bad and there's hair all over the floor, and this is so uneven. Oh my god. Okay: okay, it's okay! It'S okay! Don'T stress out you just cut so much hair off. I have so much anxiety right now. Okay, so now i'm just gon na kind of do that thing that everybody does, because i don't know it makes me feel better. I can't stop now, otherwise, i'm gon na look like an idiot, so let's just keep going. I guess! Okay! So now she says to part your hair back to the middle. Oh, my god! Okay, now that it's - oh, my god, more than half my hair goes down to my butt. So there's no going back now, all right now. She said to take a little strand from here and hold these together and then cut this at an angle. This is either gon na look, really good or really bad, and i don't know if i'm prepared to find out so basically each time you grab a new piece, letting it be a little bit longer. I feel like this looks so choppy and so bad, and i think that i will probably spend the next few months crying wearing only buns okay. This is the last little trunk for my left side. Okay, so this side is done. I think it looks very, very bad and very choppy, but i mean my hair is also wet still so, hopefully, when it dries it'll look a bit better. I just want to be done. I just want to be done. So, let's move on to the other side. I followed all of the directions, but i feel like i still did something wrong: hey. That was a solid cut, though, are these going to be even wait? A second, you shouldn't give me any tips for that. I guess just eyeball it all right guys. I think we might, we might have done it so in case you're wondering how much hair i just cut off of myself. There'S also a lot more actually um, and it's all just on my carpet. I didn't think to put a towel down or a trash bag or anything. So you guys it looks so bad. Oh my god, it looks so bad. Oh my god, you guys look so choppy and bad. It just like ends right here and then there's just the rest of my hair. What have i done? Okay, um, i'm not gon na. Let myself freak out just yet, because it's still not completely dry. It'S still a bit wet and the rest of my hair is more dry all right. So i guess i'm just gon na check back in see you guys when these dry, like when my bangs dry more because, as you can see, it's not blending right because it's still wet um, i'm not letting myself freak out. Yet first comes the worst um. I have to go, get it done and get it fixed um, but i think i'm kind of liking what it's doing up here, though, it's like giving me volume, i'm gon na check back in with you guys later when this finish is drying um, i'm probably gon Na go have a panic attack, so i'm just gon na go and check back in with you guys later. I don't know if i need to freak out it or not. I feel like it just looks kind of weird, because my hair, a lot of hair, is just really short, and then it's just long, like it kind of looks like i'm wearing extensions. It looks like my hair is actually this short and then my extensions are just so obvious, but i'm not wearing extensions. This is my new layer, so that's not good. I might have to go to a salon and get layers so that it all just blends in and does like that. I don't i don't know um i'll, be back the next day. Don'T do this hey last time you saw me i was having my. I don't know 20th panic attack in the last 24 hours and that was only like two hours ago, um so yeah. Basically, my hair ended up drying and when i looked at it in the mirror it just looked like either. I was wearing a short bob wig over my normal hair or i had short hair and i was wearing extensions and they just didn't blend. That'S what it looked like. That'S how choppy it was. I don't know. I think i just didn't. Do it right, obviously, because i am not a professional - i have never cut hair in my life um so that there should have been just a straight up. Don'T do this um, but i haven't had bangs in a really long time. Um i haven't had my hair cut since last november and i didn't get like layers really or anything. I didn't. I just got like a trim like i just got some of the dead ends off, so it wasn't even really like a full-on cut. So i haven't had anything fun done to my hair cut wise in a long time, and i don't want to dye diet again, because i want to go lighter when the purple fades. Like i said earlier, i think i said that um so yeah. I wanted something new. I wanted something fun and um. I'M gon na put a picture of what i was going for right here, because i don't think i ever like showed you what i was going for. This is what i was going for kind of like some long side, bangs that stopped like right here, like to at your chin or a little below your chin and kind of like fade into long layers. You know like it looks good. It looks all blended in it looks good. That is not what mine looked like um, so yeah. My boyfriend took me to the hair salon today and i got it fixed kind of um, as you can see, it's still kind of choppy, but this is what i did. She didn't even cut this any shorter, because what she told me was that i should have cut it like right here, since my hair is so long like with my hair length. I should have left it a little bit longer and then you know so that it would have blended all together. So she didn't even cut this any shorter because it was already too short. So she just tried to make like the rest kind of blend in and made it not look as choppy, but don't get me wrong. It still looks choppy. I wrap my hair around like bandanas when my hair is damp and i like leave it in for a couple hours and that's how i curl it like this. If you want a tutorial on that, let me know i haven't put any heat on my hair for a very long time, because i have been curling it with bandanas, so yeah. Let me know if you want a tutorial on that, so i kind of was hoping that it would help kind of blend it all in if it was curled, and i definitely think it does. I feel, like my hair has more volume. I also want to add in here really quick that when i filmed this, i had finished curling my hair, yet so um after i filmed this, i curled my front pieces, the shortest pieces with my curling iron and not with my bandanas that i used to curl My hair, so once i curled the shorter pieces to blend in with the rest of the curls, and it looked a lot better. I will insert pictures here so yeah. They don't just like chop off right. There um as long as i curl it right, and i blend it in because it's too short for it to fit on the bandana when i curl it overnight, um so for those front pieces, i have to curl them with an actual curling iron. So yeah just wanted to clarify. It doesn't always look that i like how it's like, but when it's natural, and even sometimes now, unless i like, fix it and style it like it. Just you can just tell that, like something went wrong and the girl that cut my hair was very nice, but i definitely think that, because she could have done more, like i feel like she could have blended it in more, maybe gave me some like layers in The back so that it kind of like all, goes in together. I don't know, i don't know if you like, do hair for um your career and you're watching this one, i'm so sorry you probably cringed the whole time. But what do you think now? Like? Do you think the hair person could have done something better to make this blend in, or do you think she did good? I don't know it definitely looks a lot better, as you can see like there's more layers but yeah. This is what i got um. I definitely think it will look really really cute and a lot better when it grows like an inch or so so i guess i'm just going to be curling. My hair like every day or putting it up for like a month or two, a little tip. Don'T cut your own hair unless you have done it before and you know what you're doing um i don't know man. I was just on tik tok for hours and i learned so many great things from tick. Tock tick. Tock has never let me down, but then i kept saying people cut their own hair and dyeing their own hair and it ended up looking good and i was like you know what, if they can do it, i can do it, no, no sweetheart, so yeah. I hope you guys enjoyed this video. I can already see the comments of everyone telling me the multiple things i did wrong. Yes, i know um, but i also thought it would be fun to watch whether it ended up looking really good or ended up being a fail and it was a fail, but i hope you enjoyed either way. I learned my lesson. I am never touching my hair with scissors ever again ever again, i'm gon na stop talking now because i feel, like i keep just saying the same thing over and over again, but i hope you enjoyed this video make sure you give it a thumbs up and Please subscribe, please, i'm miserable

Jess Bishop: Omg girl.. lol at least hair grows back out, it’s not the end of the world! I gave myself a quarantine haircut too but it was just bangs and turned out pretty good, but honestly I was fully prepared for it to not go well, cause a haircut is always temporary!

Ginnelyn Jadevanny: HONESTLY my opinion is she could of added more layer on the back . But it's still looks fabulous ♥️

Lightskin Oso: You look beautiful as always

Devynn Brand: Thank god you fixed it XO

KarinaMaree18: Love this for you

Rohit Jadhav: U r looking gorgeous

chiefdancingostriche: i think you look good. i don't care what any1 else thinks.

Lans Pacifico: Well since you asked... ;) I do hair for a living and I think the stylist was smart not to do any more cutting. The job you did was really something else... And she had quite the challenge. Also your color makes it more challenging to add in layers because it's pretty close to a dip dye ombrè (no offense.) It would look even more wig-like to cut in layers at the level required to blend with those short chunks in the front. You would need to straight up shag that hair with a texture razor. That long of a shag never looks right without taking like 6 in off of your ends. Honestly when I watched this I thought you were just planning on getting rid of that color anyway and that made you brave enough to do it yourself. So I was surprised when you went into a stylist to try and have it fixed. She was probably just "erring" on the side of caution. I think you need your color redone and that will help blend the less-colored short pieces.

Kevin Clapton: i think ur beautiful val
