Cutting My Own Curtain Bangs *Fail* | Ft A Brad Mondo Tutorial | Chloe Danielle

So apparently i thought it was a great day to ruin my life with a terrible haircut. I know i've been away for a while, but i'm coming back with a bang or should i say bangs, it was a bad joke. I'M sorry, i have watched the brad mondo tutorial on how to cut curtain banks. So that's what i'll be referencing today. I literally have an eyelash stuck in my eyeball. Where are you? I can't find it she's deep in there. So i've collected a few items together that brad said i would need in the tutorial i've got scissors, they are hair, cutting scissors. I did buy them from kmart, so they might not be ideal. Probably not. I have cut my dog's hair a few times with them. I'Ve got this comb with a pointy thing so that i can make proper sections continue watching to watch me up my hair. Why did you have to go ahead and manifest that the first thing that i have to do is make myself a middle part, because i don't know if this would work with a side part or like? Maybe you have to cut it in a middle part and then put your side that part back later. If you need to, i don't know, but i am going to try and give myself the middle part. Oh yuck, it feels so weird to move your part like it feels wrong. Why am i struggling? Why am i struggling if i can't even do a part? How am i going to cut my hair? I feel, like i don't suit a nail part. Oh york. Ah, still something in my eyeball, today's not my day, okay, but i feel like changing your part. Placement in your hair is the hair version of biting your nail too short like it just feels wrong. It feels gross. Is that in the middle? What are you doing? I feel like that's on a slight diagonal. Why is just parting? My hair, like harder than i thought like? Is that too much? Oh, i don't know ew i feel like. I do not suit a middle part, because middle parts mean symmetry and symmetry, and my face aren't friends. According to the mondo man, we need to grab like a triangle section like grab as much as you want kind of thing. So, okay, that is way too thin. Does that love it? Oh girl, look at those baby hairs. I didn't realize how many baby hairs. I had holy dude tea break, i'm just gon na start. With this we can always add more to it. I feel like i'm gon na try and match that amount on the other side, girl, there's so many baby hairs under there too. This is a look. Hey, don't even ask about my roots. I don't want to talk about them. So now we're going to like brush the whole part together. Oh great, if i thought i couldn't see before, i definitely can't see now wait how the frick frack there's so many. I had no idea. I had this many they're kind of ruining my vibe. I cannot see what i'm doing. I thought this would be a piece of cake, but now i'm just kind of scared yeah in the video he says. How am i going to talk to you guys, but usually one would use one of those spray spritz bottles. I, however, don't happen to have one so i'll, be using i'm just gon na look away now, if you don't want to see an absolute triggering hot mess, this is a really good way of seeing what your hair smells like. Okay? So in the video he cuts it like just below the chin? I'M kind of scared, but also i just want to cut it just below the chin. I'D be looking like gandalf right now. I'M gon na cut a tiny bit longer room for some error. I can't see what i'm doing, but here just in case you guys want to this is how it's supposed to look right. My part has gone like back to normal they're a little bit. Um uneven, definitely missed a few strands. That'S okay! We'Re gon na clean her up there is hair. All over my floor looks like the cat brought in a small animal. This was the exact look that i used to have in year: seven like justin bieber that make him a 12 year old. Oh wait! You know what else i can do with this. This is more like 2013. For me, i used to store my hair, like this, like genuinely like just a little ski jump on my head. That'S great! Oh wait! I forget where my part is hello. I see why they're called curtain bangs right when i want to block out the haters. My curtains are drawn, can't see nothing okay, so the next thing he does in the video is he kind of pulls it all forward like this. This is hard work, stay hydrated. He gets one piece right and then he he pulls it to the side, and then he has it kind of on an angle yeah. So when you cut it, it has like a stair effect. Did i do that right, yeah, i'm gon na. Do it with this side, i think i need to do that again, like there's, definitely a longer piece in the middle. I don't know how that happened. She definitely needs a clean up and then he says you check your work by making sure that the two front pieces are even and then you take the two end pieces i would say: they're. Even okay, i'm just going to clean them up because i don't feel like this side is like the stair effect that i want. So i'm just gon na nobody, in the comments better be telling me to put the scissors down i'm having fun leave me alone. It kind of just looks like a weird slick: sideburn, i'm a little confused send help, maybe they're too long, and that's why they're throwing me off help me uh help me brad. I just want to look like all the tick-tock girls. Okay, the curtain bangs. He can't end up like sitting about here and he cuts a lot more off when he does the crisscrossing thing. I'M gon na try this again, i'm just out here trying to get over my quad life crisis by cutting some fresh bangs and it's not working out for me. I'M gon na try again, but i'm gon na make the angle more drastic right. I'M just gon na send it. You know what i like. You love the sound of cutting hair. Like look, that is not what i thought was going to happen. I'M just going to try my own method, all right. Okay, i'm gon na like stop actually taking more centimeters off and i'm just going to try and feather it, because i don't want to take any more hair off. I'M scared. I'Ve had my fun they'll grow back right like they're, not the curtain effect. They just go like like: what's that about? Oh no, they look so bad. I don't know how to salvage it like genuinely. I have no idea i have to take my hair out, because i have to see what it looks like like all together. Oh, my god, what is there? What have i done? Brb, i'm gon na go cry, so i watched his video again and i hate to say it, but i think they're not short enough. He starts off with it like, like just below the nose like, and i started my way down here. I really don't want to take more off, though i'm just genuinely terrified. I have regrets. Okay, i feel like i need to watch the tutorial as i'm doing it, because i need someone here with me. Okay, i need the support. I think my carpet's getting more wet than my hair is, but you know i'm probably going to do it above the top lip just. So i have room to correct any mistakes that i do because god knows there will be some i'm doing it above the top lip. Oh, it's more hair say goodbye, it feels so short, and i am so damn proud of you. Now would be a good time to prank my boyfriend and send him a picture of what they look like now and tell him they're finished. I mean, i hope it turns out to be a prank, because i yeah, i hope it gets better from here - had to take a moment and snapchat everyone. I know, and they all said it didn't. Look that bad, i beg to differ. I know they're trying to cheer me up, but they're, just being fake friends right now. Okay, i'm slightly offended that no one told me to put the scissors down. Nobody in the comments better be telling me to put the scissors down we're just gon na get on with the tutorial, because i want this nightmare to be over. I just started cutting again didn't do it, okay, wait. I feel, like that kind of worked, that time. I'M just gon na cut it again because i don't think the angle is like harsh enough. Okay, it's got a nice gradient here, but there's like a short piece here and i'm not sure how it got where the long stuff is supposed to be. I think that's not too bad compared to before wait is what one side longer than the other i'm going to pull it over to the side. I am just going to go in with that feather technique now, because i want it to look blendy. I feel like that one looks alright. I'M gon na put down the scissors now shouldn't have picked them up in the first place, but i'm just gon na try and see if i can style them and then i'll make my final decision, whether i like them or not. I guess i think i salvaged them, but i still don't think they're, like perfectly blended. I think any hair stylist would cringe watching this. I'M gon na go style them and i'll get back to you guys. So it's actually been a few days. This is what it looks like a few days on. The one thing i notice about having bangs now is that the rest of your hair can look clean and your bangs look kind of greasy, and i think that's because i touch them a lot like to move them out of my face. Anyway. I'Ve watched a few tutorials on how to style the bangs. I decided to go with the flat brush technique because, honestly, it looks the easiest to me, i'm all about convenience. Okay, i made something of a spray bottle this time, because i think we all can agree. That was just a disaster and i don't want to dry my carpet again. It was just a hot mess last time, so i'm just gon na drench, one half of my fringe with my handy dandy spray bottle and then we're going to blow dry it but kind of like brush it out like this as we blow-dry it. And then i don't know it's supposed to make it like supposed to make it like a curtain. You know so we're just gon na give it a go. I'Ve got my mom's blow dryer here, sorry mum, so i guess we'll uh just start by that looks wet enough right. Why does it do like that? Hi guys? This is my curtain. Bang, okay, i feel like i have to brush it with this. I'M gon na try brushing it with my right hand and then blow drying with my left. Why is that so much harder than it looks i'm getting a bit of volume and structure. My method is still questionable, but surely it's just practice she's, definitely getting some volume. I don't know if it's the look. I'Ve won, but anyway just threw a comb at myself. I don't know how i feel about this one chief, i am genuinely trying my best. I don't want to look like this. I genuinely don't know what i'm doing wrong. I feel, like i've said that many times throughout this video, i'm just going to do the other side. I think that's as far as i can go all right. She'S moist am i cute. Yet i don't think it looks much different to before. Let'S just take my hair out and see what it looks like they're, just not working out for me. Look i don't know what to tell you like. I can't say i didn't try. Good hair is just not in my destiny. You know i was hoping that these bangs would be like a redemption arc for my hair, because it's so like lifeless and boring lucky it's locked down and i don't have anywhere to go for a few weeks. I can let them grow out and pretend like nothing. Ever happened so in conclusion, i have regrets they're, not the bangs i asked for but they're probably the bangs i deserve. Considering i didn't go to a hairdresser. Lockdown makes me do ridiculous things, and i think we can all agree that this side needs jesus. It looks like someone just took a piece of my hair and went, which is essentially what happened, except that someone was me could have been a lot worse. I think the plan is i'm going to let them grow out a bit and then i'll go to the hairdresser and ask to fix them up.
