Hello and welcome back to my channel, my name is Abby in case you didn't know. Today'S video is requested by my mum and it is going to be tick, tock, hair hack. So, let's all take a moment to say thank you mum and let's get into the video, so the first hack I'm going to do is the one that my mum found and she really wanted me to try out. So it's just this video, where they split the hair kind of halfway and then do a ponytail at the top and then a ponytail lowered down, and it's supposed to make your hair look longer. I'M a bit skeptical about this, because I've tried things similar to this. In the past - and I felt like they did work from the back, but then from the side you could kind of see just that they had two ponytails, but I'm gon na try it out anyway, and do it the way that they show just to see whether It actually does work and when it does make your ponytail look longer, so I'm gon na just quickly stick my hair up in a normal pearly tail. Just so you can see what it would usually look like without this kind of hack. Just so we can compare results, so that's the normal length of my ponytail. It'S quite long. I'Ve been growing my hair, I'm very proud of it right. Let'S, let's try it out, let's see what we think, so I'm just gon na section it with my fingers. I'M not gon na. Do it really super precise one bubble at the top and then get the bottom section? I don't know if I've done this button, section too thin mm-hmm. You know. I don't think this is working for me. Does it look longer, maybe a bit? Let me just show you from the back, so how do you think it looks from the back, so I'm just gon na go and check in the mirror what it looks like at the back, because I've set up to film this video with no mirror. So it does make your ponytail look longer, but you can kind of see the parting of where I've done the top section and we've done the bottom section and the other thing is because of my roots, you can kind of see like all the pink hair coming To this one ponytail at the bottom and then all the pink hair going to the ponytail at the top, like you, can see the directions of the hair go in different ways. I don't know if I described that very well, but I'm sure that you saw from when I showed you the back of my head anyway. I'M gon na take this out because high ponytails are not comfy for me and let's have a look what's the next tick-tock. So this next hit talk, it's quite simple and it's to do like a little twisty. I don't know like half-up half-down kind of hairstyle on the back of your head, but you do it at the front. So what she does is she takes those two like front pieces of her hair and then brings it underneath the chin, and then she puts that in a bubble, so she puts on a bubble and then I look like I've got really good beard. Yes, so then, once she's got a little beard, she flips that over and then pulls out some pieces from around the front of her face. Oh ok, so I've done this run. Look, I think I've done that one too loose, so I'm gon na try again at that. How does she actually do it? Is it under a chin, let's check, to make sure we're doing get to correct, so she does do it right under a chin. So I'm gon na take these pieces. I'M gon na take slightly bigger chunks this time, but she puts out under a chin, puts on her hair bubble and then flips it over a head. Does she twist it round? Let me just show you the back. I think it works slightly back to this time, so yeah it did work well, I feel like I could have just twisted different pieces and put them in a bubble, and I would have been able to do it like the right place on the back of my Head where I wanted it and twisted it as much or as little as I wanted, I'm so like I'm such a downer on these hacks people out here, trying to make our lives easier floors and I'm like um, it would have just been better if we would It just donate in the normal way, and I didn't like that - double ponytail one very much either sorry about that. So moving on to the next tick-tock, it is making yourself a little fringe without cutting your hair. So in this tick-tock she makes like fake fringe slash. Bangs without cutting her hair, so she so she just kind of takes it from bits of and twizzles it open. It looks like a fringe, so she just starts off by parting. Her hair down the middle. Her hair is kind of matching my color I like it. I feel like validated, ok, so that's as close to the middle as I'm gon na get, and then she takes like a triangle of hair. Once she's got the front bit, then she twists it. Oh twists it about half way, but I think it depends how long your hair is she bring what the heck. This is a work aid and then she just literally puts clips in like she's Clips her hair, and then she says, oh just how you won what I mean I I don't think this is worked. How I don't know if it's cuz my eyes too long or what? But if you look on the top of my head, this is a situation, and that is not my desired. Look. I'Ve got to say she does have sure to hair than me like yeah. I can get like a bit of a side fringe for a picture, maybe, but I wouldn't go out like this nice disastrous, although her angle is literally from down here, but even still that okay, I've just got to say it. I don't like this one. It'S not good, I don't think it works. I don't know how I could do it differently to make it work better, I'm going to rewatch it just to give it the benefit of the doubt and like just make sure that I'm doing it completely correct, and then I don't know if it still doesn't work. Then it doesn't work. I don't understand this tick-tock bizzy's, not a friend. I can't I don't get it. I can't do it see if it saves it. Oh okay! I just can't do it. If you look at that tick-tock, she has quite short hair round her face, whereas mine is just quite long at this point. So I just think that my hair won't do that and her hair is well. You can tell when you like, watch the tick-tock, her hair's really really thick and I think mine's quite thick, but it doesn't. It doesn't work the same way that her hair works. So I'm gon na say that's a Miss. The next one is called a hack, but I wouldn't really call it a hack. I just think it's kind of like a fun hairstyle. This is definitely the kind of thing that I would have tried to do when I was like just starting off at high school like year, 7 year 8 at high school. This is a kind of a look that I would have loved, so she basically uses the front of her hair to make a twisted hairband. So she just kind of twists her hair round of a face a bit like a French Platteville. It is twisted instead of plotting. Okay. So what she does is she sections her hair just near here? So once she's like found a little parting across her head, then she ties up the rest of her hair out of the way I'm gon na come a bit closer for this part. So she starts it like her ear with two little pieces of her and she just twist them round and then grabs her and when she's tied it with a bubble, then she releases the rest of her. So I don't know if you can tell, but this only kind of worked from here onwards and this side is just a complete disaster. I definitely think this is like a skill-based one, so I'm gon na do this one one last time, because I think this one will get better with practice. I think it's a skill that you have to master like French blasting is a skill that you have to learn. You don't just automatically like know how to do a French plat, so I'm just gon na try this again. So I don't think I can do this. I mean this is really pre-k. I kept the twists going and I think that looks really pretty, but up here it's just a mess. I just can't do it. I think with practice. Maybe, but today I don't think I'm gon na get it. I tried that so many times off camera and I just can't get the twist and grab and I don't know why, because I can do French flats, I can do Dutch braids, I can do fishtail plats, I don't know. I feel like I'm pretty good with a plat, but with a twist not so much, but this is cute. I don't know why. I would need to do this, but it's cute, maybe for something so the last hack I'm going to be doing is curling. My hair with my dressing-gown, I know that every single person ever has tried this, and so I need to know if it works and if it looks nice and need to try it for myself. So this evening I'm going to be doing that just before I go to bed, but until then that's it for now. So for this last hack, I wanted to wait until it was nearly time for bed, but also while it was still daylight. So I think it's about half-past, eight, which I know isn't when I would go to bed, but I think we've just got enough daylight to be able to film this. So this is the overnight heatless curls, where you use your cord from your dressing gown. So I don't actually know who the first person to make this hack is. I just have included the first person that I came across on tik-tok doing this hack when I went to have a look for the hacks today. So I've got my pajama top on because I didn't want to take off my hoodie and then pull it all out before I've even had chance to sleep with it on so. The first thing I'm gon na do is spray it with this water. I'Ve put in this bottle now that I've done that I'm going to brush it through. I just think it works better when you're hosed um. I think it's like when you French, plat your hair before bed, it's better! If you do it when it's wet or damp and then in the morning it's more wavy, so now it's all brushed through I'll, just separate at the back. You put your dressing-gown thing, I'll, crush your head and then take your hair and wrap it around and grab a bit more hairy thing. Then, when you get to the bottom, you put your scrunchie or a hair tie on Jesus scrunchie. So that's why I'm using the scrunchie we're gon na do the other side? Okay, so it's finally all tied up the best side. This is what we're looking like for now and then I'll. Let you know how it turns out in the morning so really quick. I just wanted to let you know that I looked in the mirror and I decided they were quite loose and I was worried that in between now and going to bed or maybe during the night, it would fall out. So I've read on it just a bit. Tighter and as you can see, it's wrapped around a lot better now on both sides, I'm hoping that I'll have some really nice, pretty heatless curls in the morning. So it's the morning now and I just I'm ready to take these out. They stayed in pretty well overnight, but they are kind of freezing out just slightly, and these were quite annoying. While I was asleep because, like they get tucked in my armpit, all right lie on it and roll over and it will pull my hair. So I think it would be better if it was something that was shorter and not such a long thing like if it finished like here. That would be completely fine, but I did find it a bit irritating pulling during the night, but let's just take it out and see we're up to you. Oh my goodness. Look at that curl! Well, it's definitely curly, so that hack definitely works. I think the curls are slightly prettier on this side, because they're not quite as tight, but I think that is so cute and what a good way to curl your hair. I really like that. I would recommend doing that, but maybe tie the ends of this either tie them together or tie them behind you back or something just so they're not like stuck in your armpits and you're rolling all over the mat and stuff like that. Thank you so much for watching this video. Let me know what you thought of the different hat: did you think they were fails or did you think they worked? I feel like quite a lot of these were fails, or maybe it's just that they didn't either suit me or they didn't work with my hair and maybe they would work with someone else's hair. I don't really know what to think. I don't know this. Video was hard. I thought these hats would all be like super easy and simple, but I really struggled with a few of these so anyway, if you liked this video, don't forget to give it a like down below and subscribe and hit that notification bell as well.
