Here is a short little video for a Vintage/Rockabilly Hairstyle with a really cool bumper bang! I got this device at Claires (listed below) and I love the way this one turned out. I wore this for a 1950s show but you could also wear this for an awesome Rockabilly/Pink Ladies Halloween Costume! I hope you have fun with this one!!

Welcome to my channel! My name is Emily Martínez. As a professional singer and actor, I create content for young women with a passion for the arts and help them navigate the ups and downs of the theatrical world, because we all deserve to be empowered and celebrated whether or not we get the part.

I make content for you, the Forever Theatre Kid! You may be a professional performer, like myself, or maybe you did plays in high school and have always had a love for the lifestyle. You know every word to Bohemian Rhapsody, you still play your favorite Tony speeches to pump you up for an audition, you play an annual Hocus Pocus drinking game. YOU have found your new home.

I have very recently finished a huge part of my career as a cruise ship singer, so much of my content is centered around my life as a traveling performer, but you can also find content from past productions and the transitional lifestyle of a performer working her way towards Broadway and beyond!

Hey friends, welcome back to my channel. My name is Emily and you're at the home of the forever theater kids. Today is the next video in this like Halloween stage, makeup stage, hair series - I guess you could call it today is really quick and really easy. You just need a couple of tools, so make sure that you just look out in the video and I'll list. Everything down below this is, if you're, either on stage, if you're, in a production of grease or if you're, in a production of Bye, Bye, Birdie or all shook-up or Footloose, or anything that kind of happens in a time period where it could be translated. As like, 1950's 1960s or if you're like going out for Halloween you're gon na, be a pink lady or if you're gon na be like a poodle, skirt, skirt golly, what were those called just like that big balumptuous' pawnee tail, I wore it for a 1950 show That I did on one of my ships and it came out really really cute and I felt like I looked really authentic and sweet. It stayed for the show. So if you want to see how I got that and how I think it could also translate into a Halloween look for you make sure that you stay tuned, enjoy the video and don't forget to subscribe to my channel. I come out with trying to do three videos a week, it's very overwhelming, so it might go down to two but multiple videos a week Monday, Wednesday Friday. Those are the days of the week that the video will go up, regardless of how many there are it's either Monday, Wednesday or Friday. Make sure that you also what else do I want you to do? Also follow me on Instagram. If you want to see all up-to-date things share a lot of just day-to-day life in my stories of what it's what's actually going on in my life like at today, now skate. If you follow me on and scream you know, a mouse gate is mice are in my apartment without further ado. Let'S get on into this quick cute little video, alright, first and foremost get your hair down brush her out. I also didn't realize how long my hair is until this video. So what you're gon na need is you're going to need a teasing comb, some hairspray bobby pins and holding them very nice and like ponytail, your fake hair. If you choose to use it, and also one of these bump, it's that's extendable. It'S got clips on it. I will link it down below. I have no idea what the name of it is and once it's all brushed out, you're going to want to section off the front. Half like up your crown so basically from your hairline to about the middle of your head and make it as clean of a line as possible. It'S easier to do this with dirty hair, I will say: on ships my hair was constantly dirty, so it always worked, and this twist it and put it out of the way and once you're done that, then you want to you, want to tie back the rest Of your hair and just a pony just to keep it out of the way so brush that through and you're going to give this a very light spray and then also a very light tease. You don't want to go too hard with these T's because it's not about the volume of it. It'S just about keeping it in place and giving it some texture. Now from the very bottom of your hair, start in the center of the device and start to roll. It away from your face up your head up to your head up to your hairline once it's at your hairline you're gon na. Take the two clips on either side and to the best of your ability, clip it into your hair on either side and then spread out the hair. That'S on the device as far out as possible. This is going to give you that 1950 Rindge look! Bang! Look! I don't know if they called it something else, but that's what I'm going for here. It'S like that bangs and then after you're done that you're gon na spray it to high heaven, because this thing will flop around a bit, but it gives it a super. Cute. Look so just spray it honestly as much as you want. I also then put bobby pins in it just to secure it a little bit more give your hand a nice shake to see how it's gon na move the show. In particular, I didn't dance all that much, so it was okay that it moved around and especially if you're wearing this for Halloween, it's not a problem. If the hair moves around a bit so spraying it as much as possible will help I'm not gon na lie. I was like living for this look too so brush out the rest of your hair, and now is the time that you're going to just give your hair a little bit of a wave. So I just sped through this - it's not too much. What was I doing. I don't know so just put a put a nice wave throughout all of your hair. If you want to use extensions, maybe and they're real hair extensions now would be the time to put them in and curl them with your hair. But the extensions I'm going to Jews are a half wig and they're synthetic, so I actually can't use heat with them. So to apply that I just section off the crown of the crown of my head, like all the hair, that's on the crown of my head and I just kind of take that out of the way and pin that up and then apply the extension. It'S gon na be a little messy when I first put my hair up in the ponytail and even when I put my hair in the extension, what happened? I really thought I nailed it right. There really thought I did, but then after that then you're, just gon na tease the top layer, see oh see, I've just realized something's going on that's alright, we figured out just tease it up a little bit cuz. That will just give your hair a little bit more height when it's in the pony. I don't know about y'all, but I always have a hard time making my ponies look really full and big so having this hair piece really helped. This is a lot of hair for me, so I really had to like put my head back and really tie this tight for it to feel secure. You might need two ponytails if you're wearing a lot of extensions and the hair is super super thick, but look how big it is. It'S so fun. Ah, so now, I'm just to make sure that everything is down and clean, I'm just using more bobby pins, more hairspray, the comb just to make everything look as smooth as possible. It won't look perfect, but again that's how we do things here. I also use this look when I was olive oil from Popeye last year for Halloween. We did like this rockabilly look for Popeye and olive-oil is super super cute I'll leave some pictures here, but that's it friends, don't forget to subscribe to my channel and follow me on Instagram and I'll also leave a little playlist right to the right over here. For you, so you see what's coming next and all the other Halloween treats I have for you thanks for watching I'll, see you next time.
