Although most of our wigs are ready to wear right out of the box, a few may require a slight bang trim. This video will show you how to trim the bangs yourself. However, if you aren't comfortable doing them yourself, please bring your wig to a hair stylist. To trim the perfect bang, be sure you go slowly, cut less than you think you need, and take your time. Remember, this hair does NOT grow back! In this video, we will also show you how to use our Hot Air Brush to round out your bangs, add a little height and more!

Hi, I'm Rochelle and I'm Danielle and we are the mother-daughter owners of Godiva secret. Wigs and my hair looks cuter than yours right now yeah. I can use a little help right now, so we've had a lot of clients that have asked us. You know when they get the wig, it's a little bit too long in the bangs. And what do they do so you can definitely take your wig to a hairdresser and have them trim the bangs for you. But we wanted to show you how easy it is to trim it yourself right now, a couple of disclaimers number one: if the wig is trimmed or altered at all, it's a final sell. You cannot send it back so be sure that you are very sure you want to keep your wig before cutting it right, we're wearing it out or we're pretty perfume on it or pretty dirty hair. Oh you know under it and then number two. This hair is not going to grow back, so if you are gon na trim it or have someone else trim it do it a little bit by a little bit at a time, because you may think you need an inch off and you cut that inch and Your bangs are up to here, so just go right, so I'm gon na offer you and show you some very, very simple tips to cut your bangs or have someone do it for you. So this is a Kati wig by the way and nutmeg F that we're going to just work on the bangs and they're so long. So my lovely assistant, I'm gon na, say you can probably close your eyes right now. If you want so my first question to you, if you're cutting banks or to Danielle, do you wear your bangs straight down or do you want them going to the side? I think I want them straight down. Okay, so before we just take all the banging straight down and just cut them, I'm gon na move a lot of the hair, the bangs away from Danielle's face, and I'm just going to start right here, sometimes as you're seeing the hair will pop up. So if you're pulling that hair and trim it chances, are it's going to pop up and be shorter and you are not going to be happy with that wig that you're gon na still own. So what I'm doing is I'm not pulling down? I just I'm holding the hair that I see is touching Danielle's eyes like I can tell if she blinks and the hair touches her eyes or her eyelashes. That hair is too long and it will make you crazy. So I'm just going to start right in the middle and I'm not cutting across I'm cutting up just a little bit little by little and I'm constantly looking and I am NOT pulling if you're noticing I'm not going pulling down, I'm just keeping it where it is. And just a little sideways little trim like a 45 degree. Thank you, my technical daughter. Yes, so you can see how it's getting a little shorter, but as I look at Danielle, I still see there is still a few hairs in her eye that we've got again. So that's how you trim just little very little by little. We know exactly what the links of our wigs are when they go out to you, so be very careful and make sure you love that wig. I know Danielle said it, but I want to say it to you too, very important, because once you touch these to this, it is yours. Okay, so trim with care and even just cutting a few hairs will make a big difference. So I've got one hair. Keep your eye closed. I'M just gon na trim right there and you just kind of keep going back and forth now. When I get this first row, how I like it, can you open your eyes? Tell me if there's anything in your eye right there, so I think I bet you saw that when she blinked, I saw that if the hairs got caught in Danielle's, eyelashes how's that now feels good yep. Okay, so now we're gon na take a little more. If you want, if you want more, you might stop there, you might great point Korky. That would be my issue and you might stop there and live with it right before you cut anymore. Please do not cut in haste because I've done that I'll get a wig. I'M gon na have a cut, and I'm like this and before I know it, I made a big boo-boo and I'm stuck with that wig. So yeah and you might, you might be used to having a bang that comes down and you put the wig on and it's a long kind of side bang and you may just want to wear it for a few days like that, and you may decide you Like it like that, and if you don't come on to the video, but if you do leave it all up right and the question about, do you or your bangs down or to the side is very important. So if you do wear your bangs to the side, but you're cutting your bangs straight down, they're going to be shorter and it's going to be too short going to the side right. So some women want up all the rest long and just keep that little trimmed part shorter. So let's just go a little further. Now would you like a little more days? Sure? Okay, that's my actress, so you can see the new the new layer. This top layer is longer, but now I have a bar to trim this layer too, because I've already got the first layer good for Danielle. So again, I'm just taking it I'm not pulling down. I see how it popped up. Look pops right up, so I'm just even doing a point-by-point, and I have a look. You don't want to trim out here and you don't want to trim straight down so trim it like the hair is not going to move on the wigs you it's going to fall just the way we made it see how that's starting to look really good. So it doesn't take a lot of trimming to adjust the wig and the length of the bang. For you, it's just a few little cuts, and now I'm pulling just see what hairs I missed that are not in line with the others, and one thing I can remember: we've said this already. So if we did say about making sure your tabs are even think we did just again one you're cutting, because if your wig is on crooked, when you cut then the next time when you put your wig on straight you're, gon na have very sideways bangs. So just really make sure that it's right, where you want it at your hairline and that your two tabs on the sides - that's even thank you and that should have been my first number one and two tips. So sorry about that. So number one make sure the hair is right at your hairline, the wig before you trim anything and that those tabs are even right here and not one higher and lower okay. So that's basically it you can spend a little more time, but that's pretty much it! You just want to get those few hairs out of your eyes and then so one other thing since Katie already had a little bit of a bang. She was already kind of rounded under, but you may encounter a pea wig who the bangs were not really already. There they're a little straighter, so you may notice that when you cut it, the bangs are not laying exactly how you would want them to lay. There may be sticking out or they're just straight and you want them to roll under. So the easiest way to do that is with the hot airbrush we sell it on our website and in our stores. This is the only heat we recommend on our wigs. Is this hot airbrush and you can easily use this to roll the bangs under, as Michelle will show you you can also use it to roll the ends under. If you want there's a lot, you can do with it. So I just want to have her show you how to roll the bangs. If you need to Thank You, Danielle - and I forgot my round brush this morning - so I would use my round brush, but I'm just going to again clip a little bit of this out of the way. If I could use my right hand, so I'm just posting it around. So no so if you have really stubborn bangs, you may kind of sit on the same piece and keep it around and around for a little while you would never just want to like hold it in one spot, just keep moving it around. You'Ll see they'll start coming up here. Also, if you want a little lift up here, you know it just gives it instant or if a wig say the wig is flipping out Lauren, you want to slip under a little more or vice-versa. This is perfect for that. As well, this is great and please do what you want on your other wigs, but on your good dive in the secret: wigs, no heat, no hot rollers, no curling iron, no flat iron. This is our roller brush, hot airbrush, hot airbrush, sorry, and it is fantastic. So give it a try, so we hope that helps you. If you want to trim your own bangs like we said, trim slowly and cautiously, and only if you're 100 % sure you love the wig. Yes, thanks for watching thanks bye, you
