Hi, i'm rochelle with godiva's secret, wigs and today i have a client question from ruth and she would like to know - and i bet a few others of you out there ruth wants to know. How do i create a side? Bang, if i don't have enough hair to pull over with a top piece and it's pretty easy and i'm going to show you some tips on how to do it. Okay, let's begin i'm going to start with my wavy top piece, because my hair is curly today and a lot of you know i like to use my bangs mixed in with my curly top, but ruth wants to know what do we do when we don't have Those bangs, so i'm going to hide them all and put a little bobby, pin right in the back now. Our top pieces are amazing to give you a little extra bang, even if you don't have much hair. So these clips just to review they open and close and there's a rubber gripper and that protects your hair when you lock it in place, it keeps it secure. It doesn't pull on your hair, so i'm first going to open all of the four clips one. Two three four, then i'm holding it upside down and i'm going to flip it over and i'm not going to push back and clip the combs. You want to place those combs so see. I even not just like this, but i want to see those combs. So i slowly put them in on my hair as soon as i see my hairline that what snapped into place fast - and i am starting to play - that's the most important part, ladies, because if you snap too far back well, you might like that, and you might Put a headband right there, but and i'm just showing you my personal tips. So that is not something i would be happy with, and you don't want to go too low at the very end because it can shorten your forehead so just like when you're putting on a wig, you want to get right at your hairline and snap in place. So from here before i rush to snap, the back i want to see is this, where i feel good. This is the most important part to get the top piece, any top piece, get it looking right and realistic. Of course, that's what we want, so i'm just playing a little bit. Let'S take it this way a minute and see what we get and i'm not pulling on the piece. I'M just moving the hair, i'm moving the fibers around okay. So first i'm going to start on this side, don't be afraid of the piece so see how i'm kind of getting a little bang it's kind of cute - and i like this little piece here, so i'm good with that. I hope you are too so now i'm not going to pull back, because that will pull this front piece back further again, i'm just going to place the clips and listen one, two okay. So now we are secure and this piece should never pull your hair, but it shouldn't be flippy floppy loose so from here. I'M gon na move some of my hair out of the way, so we can just see the piece more that we're working with so first, i could just go loose like this, and i like it especially this color is creamy toffee in our wavy top creamy toffee R, the r stands for the roots and the piece is machine teased. So for those of you that, like it fuller, i do many times you can just tease down down into the piece and get the extra lift that you want. Let'S say i want to pull some of this hair back and just clip it well, you can do that and look how good the front looks and i'm not using any of my bangs okay, i'm gon na turn around. I want you to see this so okay, this piece is looking a little funny, not too bad, but i could hold it down and loop that little piece behind my ear see it just works right in there see that. So, let's look at the back. I like it again, if you work too long on a piece, it's going to look too perfect and that's going to look phony. So let's say you want to do something else. Let'S say you don't want this hair hanging down, but you want that illusion of bang. So i can even take my brush and then look how i'm just taking the ends behind my ear and then pull a little of the piece or my hair over, and i can do that more over here, too, see how i smooth it out put it behind My ear i like it, i could even put it up let's just twist it. Let me show you what i do so i just pulled my hair and the piece all together down low and twist. It keep twisting and put my clip right up here. Let'S take this off, so you can see better. It'S just a very simple, really cute. Look so again we're the top pieces are so magical these godiva secret, wigs long top. This is the medium top and the monofilament top, which is a flatter top piece. You won't get the teasing that height on a monofilament, so a monofilament is great for women that don't have a lot of hair and they don't want a lot of hair. They just want a little more than they have now, and so this again is the wavy top piece, because my hair is curly right now. So let's just take this down, and i want to show you what else you can do to keep your bangs in place. A cute headband, so i would first put the headband where i want it and then again slide that little extra hair under the headband to secure it just behind my ear, so this headband becomes that little anchor holding the bang in place. I think that's really cute too, and i could do it on both sides. So, let's just play for a minute and let's change parts again many of our wigs most of them do not have any kind of a committed part and neither do any of our top pieces. But when clients ask they'll say i only part, my hair from left to right. Do you have wigs that do that my answer is really maybe, but to me it's more important to get the the look. Looking great looking realistic, i don't care what side it's parted on for me. I care that it looks realistic, so i'm going to try over here now right now seat wants to come down a little bit caution. Ladies those of you that don't have a lot of hair. Please don't go from too far back and come forward, because that is kind of a giveaway that you feel that you need to cover up an area. So when you're using a fake piece or wig - and you want the bangs to show just take the hair. That would be in front of a headband, and that is the realistic amount that your bang should be. Okay, some women love to sweep, and i even see young women they want to sweep this way over from one side to the other. So, let's try it and if i'm getting too high, all you have to do is just tone it down a little bit. So i don't care for that personally, but this is up for you. If you need to grab some wine or a cup of coffee, do what you need to do to find your way with the piece, because i promise once you find your way with it, you'll just start wearing it that way, and our pieces have what we call Memory curl. That means that it's just going to remember what you like, but when you first receive a piece it has no memory, it doesn't know what you like, what you want from it and that's why the playing is so important. Please make sure that you've washed your hands so that your fingers aren't greasy from your makeup from perspiration, because as you're touching the piece with greasy or dirty hands, then the piece will get dirtier sooner. So those are a few tips. I just want to show you something else: that's really fun. These are just little cloth. Scrunchies. I picked up at a department store, that's around all of us and i'm just going to put it all together in a ponytail, so just for some color just for some fun, and i can even just put my sunglasses up on top of my head as soon As you put any kind of glasses people, don't even look twice, they just assume, that's your hair! So look. I think that was pretty easy, so i hope that answers your question. Ruth have a great day. Everybody thank you so much for watching and for all of your comments and your purchases. Danielle and i love you thanks bye, you

Susanne Samuelsson: I really love that top piece and it looks so beautiful on you dear Rochelle! It's fun to see you be so playful with the piece and give information as well as suggestions. To be too perfect looks fake and draw attention to you not in the pleasant form perhaps that you want! Love to you Rochelle and to your beautiful daughter! Hugs, Susanne.

Sheri: I love this creamy toffee topper! It’s the perfect length and I haven’t needed to trim or alter it at all— literally first piece ever that arrives ready to wear! It covers my fibrosing alopecia and blends well with what’s left in the front. If you give a mouse a cookie— well I’m going to order another. This is my go to wear!

DannyJane: Love this idea. I'm going to try it with some of my wigs! I think it will give them a whole new look! Thanks for the continuing education on what ELSE you can do with your wigs and hairpieces!

Karen Lejman: I love this piece. I actually have 2. One of them I have been wearing regularly for a year. I cut bangs into that one and layered her a little. After washing once a week, it is still beautiful. The other one is for more dressy occasions. I have not cut her and she is shinier because I don't wear it or wash it as often. I am going to have fun playing with these styles! My hair is curly too but very thin at the crown. I used to use powder fillers, teasing and root sprays to try to hide it. These toppers have changed my life and boosted my confidence! I 'm thinking of trying the Taylor with bangs or the mono wavy top as my next piece to add to my collection.

Cynthia Roberts: Thanks for this video. My very first top piece, Taylor is arriving today and I will be playing. Excited to play and look forward to adding to my new found collection. Thank you.

Gail Walton: I am amazed how beautifully you can wear a top piece...

Bonnie Pinto: Great video. I have both the mono & machine teased wavy in Silverstone. Do you think I could cut a full bang in the machine weaved one? Love these toppers, I always wear it in a ponytail. No one can tell.

Maria Leach: You and your daughter are in the right business. Because, all wigs and top pieces look great on you two, but I have to say your daughter looks better in the long haired wigs, especially the lighter colored ones. Have a great day, and thank you for your videos!

Christy S: GOOD MORNING ROCHELLE !! HAVE A HAIR-RAISING WEEK !!

R s: Taylor topper is my new favorite!!! Love her

Dana Renken: Beautiful

Marilyn Baldwin: I like you've shown this med wavy topper as bangs. I require a bit more bangs. Ive lost a lot of bio hair its thin lil bit frizzy. Ive worn the old toppers 1970's human hair cost $20. I had more bangs back then at age 17. So I hsve full toppers 14 inch and 2 wavy 18 inch toppers none match my hair nor will create bangs bcos I dont want to cut them. One I did cut bangs & ruined it I dont like sort of short bangs I love the length you show here. My next issue is becos my bio hair is too thin what do you have I can add to the back side. To match this med wavy topper ? My head and hair gets very hot in Spring and summer. Id want to avoid full topper and wigs. But use my hair down in the back but add some hair someway. I know their are crown toppers but too short 12 inches. I like 14 to 16 length and even 18 inch addition. I know you have the long topper but it may not be for creating bangs like youve shown. My hair so thing so dont want heavy extentions. What do you suggest ? I have wigs, bangs way too short. Appreciate any help you can give.

Deanna Dunn: Do you have to have long hair to use the front piece, and what about the color.

prov31x: Yay! Answered my questions

L A: You and Danielle are so pretty. You can get away with anything. Seriously. Either that or you've been doing it so long you've got it down pat.

Dawne Camacho: What is the name of this hair topper. I like it. Can you cut the length of the front to make the side sweep shorter. You and your daughter are so beautiful.

Jan Willis: Love your videos and demos but I have curly gray hair chin length with a large head (23") and cannot find a topper in your line.

rosy Lee:

George and Jackie Cooper: I like that side bang but wondering what it would look like if I had my hairdresser cut in a long fringe with this topper, to hide the vertical lines between my eyebrows. (No need for botox, lol?)

Jean Mastrangelo: I love the pony

Serena Vega: Really wish you had real human hair !!!
